The hardest thing is describing this book. In the beginning of the book, it almost sounds like it’s teaching us to change our ways and show us what can happen if we don’t. But the more you read, the more it turns into a comedy horror. Or does it? Whatever category you decide to put this in, one thing is for sure — I have definitely never read anything close to this before. It draws you in, even though you’re scratching your head in wonder. The writing is that good and the story that intriguing, you just can’t put the book down. The characters are something else too. But this book is definitely worth the time.
If you want something unlike anything you have ever read before, this book is for you.

Devil’s Dilemma by Manda Mellett a five-star read that will set your world on fire. This is number four in the Satan’s Devils MC: Colorado Chapter and each one tells us a different story. I will admit I didn’t love this one as much as number three, but it was still a great story and I am eager to get my hands-on number five. Melissa was someone I could identify with easily, I got her straight away, she was a good character and had great depth to her. She brings the story to life, I will say that there are emotions running riot in this one, so be warned you may need to break out the tissues, but I am leaving it there. There are some amazing characters in this as well as Melissa and each of them will show you a different part of a great story.

I LOVED this book! It is the third book in this series and I honestly think they just keep getting better and better! The author has a way of pulling you in and you don’t come back out until the very last word at the end of the book. It was a captivating and entertaining story that had amazing characters I couldn’t get enough of. I was excited to see how this story was going to go and I was happy with how everything turned out. Devil’s Due: Satan’s Devils MC is the third book in the Colorado Chapter series by Manda Mellet.
This was not the story I was expecting it to be at all. The synopsis didnt give anything away and neither will I, except for the fact I love Max.
This Colorado chapter is a great group of guys and still trying to find their way after the change in leadership and rebuilding after everything that happened with Violet. Then something so unexpected falls into their laps and they had no choice to stand up for what is right.
This series gets better with each book I read and I already have the fourth book in my Kindle waiting for me and I cannot wait!

Have you ever picked up a book by a favorite author only to realize that your dreams have come true? That happened to me today. I picked up DARK FEATHERS and something felt a little familiar about it. I recognized 2 characters in the first chapter so looked back over this author’s catalog. Yup, in July 2017 I read LAVENDER FIELDS and in my review hoped Joan’s story would be told one day. Well after fast clapping and and doing a happy dance, I went back to reading.
“Oh, be still, my naughty bits.” Joan thinks that of Nix and Phoenix thinks that of chocolate chip cookies. Haha. I honestly think she and I would be friends if she were my neighbor.
I cannot recommend this book enough. I would recommend reading Lavender Fields also. SUCH GOOD AND ORIGINAL STORIES. Humor and angst and burning looks and best friends.
5 stars for Lavender Fields and 5 stars for Dark Feathers equals 10 stars!!!!

Pieces of a Lie was a great 4 star suspenseful read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning. Mina starts to learn more about the father who left her and her mother when she was very young. They had to deal with the repercussions of her father’s actions. After her mother’s death, she decides to go into the antiquing business. When things don’t go in the direction that Mina expects she starts to get angry and frustrated.
Lincoln is a cop who comes to town to investigate burglaries that are occurring. When Mina is considered a suspect she gets very angry. As the investigation moves on secrets get revealed that causes Mina to rethink things.
There is so much more to this great read, I don’t want to give anything away. Mina was a great tough as nails character. Linc was a straightforward cop with some demons of his own, but I loved him. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We get suspense, romance and so much more. The twists and turns really added a great element to the story. Rowena Holloway continues to draw me in with her writing and I can’t wait to read more from her.

This was an interesting tale of suspense, mystery, and so many twists and turns, for once, I was unable to even come close to figuring out the ending! It started off a bit slowly and took a while to get into it, but once things started coming together, I couldn’t put it down!
Mina Everton is an outcast in her hometown. Her father disappeared years ago with millions from the towns coffers, or so it seems, and the entire town shunned Mina and her sick mother, holding them responsible for what he did to the town. Only her friend Forbes stuck by her side and is still there for her all these years later, trying to keep her life on track and save her from herself. While he is running for Mayor, he brings in a detective from Sydney to help with a major case that he hopes solving it will get him elected. When Mina and Linc meet, there is undeniable chemistry between the two, but they are from two different worlds and each knows they could never act on their attraction.
This author takes us on a journey through a web of secrets and lies, murder and mayhem, and maybe even a bit of the supernatural! You might think you have it all figured out, but you will be wrong! So don’t bother trying, just read and enjoy the journey! And if you think you see things or hear things in your house while you’re reading…maybe it’s just Spirit there to protect you!

Just off the top of my head I have to say this has been the best book I have read in quite a while. If I could give it ten stars I would. In Draigon Weather, Paige L. Christie has given us a marvelous cast of characters. The main characters, Leiel Sower and Cleod Woodcutter, were so carefully crafted that you know them. You know what motivates them and what they aspire to. They quickly grab your imagination. All the supporting characters in this excellent story are just as well crafted. The world that Christie has created for her characters is so well suited for them and has been so well described you feel like you are almost there. You can feel the heat drifting across the land. This is a book that will quickly grab your imagination and keep you reading long after the moon has crossed the sky. A new direction in Dragonlore. This is a book you will not regret reading.

Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) by James Talisman. This book is AWESOME! This is not my favorite Genre but I loved this story and can’t wait for the next book! This book includes time travel, multiverse theory and sci-fi/fantasy. The story starts with all the different worlds we will enter and you get to meet all the characters that you will encounter. I will say this is not a book you can just breeze through, you actually have to pay attention to get the full story. There are tons of characters and tons of worlds and they all intertwine. Its amazing when you realize how things all come together. I loved the handy dandy guide at the beginning because I kept going back to it! The descriptions of all the worlds and characters make you feel like you’ve been there and know all the characters. You go from Earth to alien worlds with the turn of a page and you feel as if you’ve actually traveled there. Do yourself a favor and grab a copy of this book and get lost in it. If you love Sci/Fi you won’t be disappointed. Just remember its not a light read so be prepared to delve deep. You will love it! Can’t wait for the next one!

My Life Series by Necie Navone is quite possibly one of the best series I have ever read. They are a prequel to the Brother of Camelot series, but I loved it more than those. It tells the story of Alessandra Canzano, daughter to a mob boss. She was almost murdered as a child, on the 6th birthday. Since then, she was trained to protect herself and her family, training to take over as the boss of the Family. Its hard enough being born into the Mafia, not being able to even choose your own friends or clothes. Add on to that being trained to be tougher than even your bodyguards, and its safe to say she didn’t have a normal childhood. She is practically raised by her uncle and body guard, and is closer to them than her own father. When she is a teenager she gets a taste of freedom, when she visits the US for her birthday. She has trained her whole life to be a strong leader, but she just wants to be a normal teenager. My Hidden Life is the first book of the trilogy. It is a coming of age story, about Alessandra, the Princess of the Canzano Family. Her family is part of the Italian mob, and her dad decided, when she was just 6 years old, she will be the one to take over as the boss of the Family. Her uncle Louie has dedicated his life to protect her, as well as train her. Due to the target on her back, her father decides she must be trained to protect herself in any situation, regardless of being a child. She thinks it is fun as a young girl, but soon tires of it and wishes for a normal teenage life. These feelings intensify after she meets a boy, who doesn’t know her past or story, and sparks fly. My Tragic Life is the second book in the series. The story is written mostly in the perspective of Aless, but with an occasional chapter from the supporting characters. It continues her story, as she gets older, following the responsibilities she carries as the Princess of her Family, essentially a Mafia Princess. With this position comes power, fear, respect, money, but Aless would give it all up to be a normal teenage, who could make her own destiny and choose her own partner. I love the balance the book has, with a little bit of longing and dreams, alongside drama and intense scenes, with a small dash of romance. My Free Life is the last book in the My Life Series by Necie Navone. It continues telling the story of Alessandra, in her path to freedom. It must be read following My Hidden Life and My Tragic Life, in order to get the full story. This book, like the previous 2, was amazing and full of twists and turns keeping me hooked from start to finish. However, I was left hanging, and now need to move onto the Brother of Camelot series, so I can know if Aless gets her happily ever after. While these books are listed as part of a prequel, I believe they are strong enough to be a series of its own. The characters are written so well, with emotions and relationships you can feel. I developed feelings for the characters and felt anger, love, loss, fear right along with them. The story and background are solid and realistic. I honestly enjoyed this series so much, and would love to see it turn into a movie! So highly recommend to everyone.

The Fisher Men on the X is the 3rd book in the Fisher Men series by Rebel Nicks O’Dey. It is advertised as a stand alone book, but I think it would be hard to read individually. There is a lot going on in these books, and even having read all 3, its hard for me to grasp it all and make the links. Over all, its a wonderful story, but an emotional one. The characters have a lot of dimension, and the relationships between them are enjoyable to read. This book focuses on Rebecca and Zack. They met when they were children, in the Seh, and it changed both their lives forever. They remain best friends and help each other heal and come to terms with who they have become. I love all the Fisher Men books, but this one was more serious and less lovey dovey. I can’t wait to read the next one.

‘Journeys Through SpaceTime’ is the debut novel, and first instalment in the ‘Journeys Through’ series by James Talisman. This sci-fi/fantasy story has so much going on in it and quite a lot of characters to keep track of. The storyline is multi-layered and complex, with multiple worlds and time-lines. The weaving of the story takes us on an action-packed adventure- where good vs evil, danger abounds, hidden agendas come to light, and a bit of ‘political’ manoeuvring takes place. As this story spans space, and time- and introduces various principles/concepts to do with consciousness, universal energy and wisdom- it begins to build and explain the dynamics of this MultiVerse. The story is told from multiple points of view- which gives the reader a fully immersive reading experience whilst helping us to better understand the dynamics of each ‘layer’ of the storyline. The story has a mysteriousness to it which definitely adds to the overall intrigue. It’s very interesting, if not a little wordy in places. All the ‘action’ in the various ‘worlds’, and with so many characters playing their part in this epic story; as well as all the switching back and forth between worlds and POV’s- made things a little confusing for me in the beginning. But as I got more of a handle on the story, characters, and flow- I really enjoyed the journey. There are factors of the story which had a ‘Roman Legion’ feel, while other parts felt more Egyptian- with space and technological components, some Japanese Samurai like elements; as well as delving into some spirituality and consciousness concepts, & then the space and time factors, and conspiracies/plots/hidden agendas thrown in for good measure- and this story really took off. It will both captivate you, while making you think. There is plenty of suspenseful moments which had me flipping the pages to discover how everything would play out. I loved that while a few of the threads were tied up at the end- we are left knowing that there is more to come- and plenty more to discover and unravel in the following instalment/s. I am looking forward to continuing this journey and watching the story evolve. Well done!

Pieces of a Lie by Rowena Holloway. This is a great mystery/crime story. Its set in a small town in Australia and its the story of Mina Everton who is known as the worst offspring in her hometown of Fallie because of her father and his past. Mina knows everyone in town and everyone knows her and her family so when her Father skips town and leaves her with a sick mom everyone thinks the worst. She’s also at a standstill with her boyfriend Forbes and wants to move on and open an antique store. When a series of high profile antiques end up being the subject of some robberies Detective Lincoln Drummond thinks he can arrest those responsible and gain back the respect and prestige he once had at his job. He meets Mina during this investigation and they butt heads immediately. Throw in a Crime Boss and a murder and you have a full blown thriller. This story is so well written and you will not want to put it down once you start. When sparks begin to finally fly between Mina and Lincoln you are sucked even more into the story! Do yourself a favor and read Pieces of a Lie to find out what happens.

Pieces of a Lie by Rowena Holloway is a suspenseful book that will have you guessing the whole way through. Having read previous books by this author I couldn’t wait to dive into this one. The book was full of twists and turns. Just when I thought I had things figured out the author would throw something new into the mix. I liked the two main characters together. He tension between them was palpable. The direction each of them took really made the book more interesting. As usual I have come away from this book having enjoyed the writing style and excited to read more by this author.

Wow! At first I was leery of this story but as I delved into it I can see I clearly underestimated this read. It really pulls the emotion right out of me. Laughter, heartbreak, love of family and relief are just a few. I always was interested in Zack and how he came to be like he is portrayed in the previous books. This book told me and it really floored me. I was impressed with the angle the author took on his story. I love how he works so hard to save others from their demons. It was interesting how he viewed himself.
Becca. We met her in the last book. I really thought she was just a one time character. I mean I wondered about her and Zack but I didn’t realize their shared history. The way she transformed was awe inspiring.
This is my second favorite In the series right now. It’s a very emotional story and it was told splendidly. One minute I am rooting for Becca then the next for Zack I just kept going back and forth. I did LOVE the Irish Car Bomb night! It was a great break that everyone needed. Those Fisher boys are so funny when talking about their wives! I can’t wait to read Morgan’s story!

Run From Love by Teddy Cat Hester is a sweet book with interesting characters. I have read a lot of books in which the guys set the time limit on any relationship. This was the first time I had read it the other way and it was refreshing to see. Scarlett and Nick were interesting characters and it was great to get to learn their story. The story was well paced and overall enjoyable. I quickly found myself hoping that Nick would find a way to win Scarlett round. It was easy to fall into the story each time I picked up the book. It was packed full of romance that helped to pull you into the lives of the characters. This was a great book.

WOW…Just WOW… Until reading this book I had never heard, read or even knew about a multiverse genre. I actually had to ask what a multiverse was. Let me start by saying I don’t read sci fi and although my mind has not been changed and I won’t be searching for more multiverse or sci fi books in general, I must be completely honest and say that I seriously got into this book and will be searching out more from this author. I did not understand a lot and got lost many times because I was like all over space and I’ll admit I got really confused as there was a lot of moving parts to this story. There were also many many characters involved and keeping them all straight was a bit hard at times.
In saying all of that, this book was written beautifully and when I was able to concentrate only on this book I was able to keep things straight and what told me it was an outstanding story was that I usually listen to alot of my books using text to speech, I could not do that with this book because it needed my complete focus and I wanted to give it my complete focus and I did. The writing was so precise and I could tell a lot of care went into forming every word and every sentence.
Now in saying all of that…I’m going to read it again, it’s the first of a series and I am invested enough that I really need the second one and do hope to see some of my favorites return but now that I have enough of the story planted in my mind I want to go back and try to grasp some of the details I was a bit confused on, so thats my plan before the second one comes out.
I can only imagine that a true scifi fan will absolutely put this book within their top favorites and even those that don’t read this genre will absolutely love it!

This is the Box set of the Dark Sparrow books 1-3 written by India Kells. The characters are well written and strong. The story line is unique and different that’s why I fell in love with this series. The twist and turns in these books are awesome…

This is a first read by this author and is definitely one I will read more of. This book is right up my alley, love the fae and demon world and how intricate the relationships are from start to finish.
This is a fast pace novel and intriguing written with hidden agenda and secrets along the road to discover the truths, hence your never be able to put 8t down until you’ve finished.

Protecting His Heart by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is the second book in the Lawson Family series.
I enjoyed catching up with Jamie and Kira as well as getting to know Ian and Rachel. This family gives me the warm fuzzies and makes me wish my family was more like them.
Ian has been Jamie’s best friend since they were kids and grew up more like brothers then friends, especially after that horrible night when Ian was twelve. Ian has a lot of anger with some guilt mixed in from his childhood and he needs to learn to let it go.
Rachel’s story is unfortunately not a rare one. Maybe one day it will be. She allowed her dreams to be put on hold for this guy and kept giving him chance after chance. I found myself questioning her and why she kept going back though I know he tore her down time and time again so she felt she deserved it.
Though the subject of domestic violence is a tough one, I think it was handled well in this book.
I’m really looking forward to the next chapter in this series.

Devil’s Due by Manda Mellett a five-star read that will serve you up. This is the third novel in the Satan’s Devils MC: Colorado chapter and in my eyes it was the best, Manda Mellett has fast become a go to author for me, they write an MC story that is so easy to read, it’s almost as easy as breathing. I have been eagerly awaiting this story, as I have read the other previously and loved them, but they pale compared to this story. Most authors would struggle to keep the action so fast paced and consistent that your heart won’t get chance to let up from the first page to the last. I love the writing so much, but not as much as the characters, they aren’t all buff or blonde and beautiful, they all have edges and issues, they just feel more right as characters, they don’t all live great lives, and what I love most she brings in other things, that I don’t want to show as sometimes just a hint of beauty is all you need. If you haven’t checked this author out already then go, get the novels you need them I your life.

Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
This book was so sweet and also very spicy at the same time. The story line was perfect and the characters are very well written.
Cy and Jolie’s relationship happens pretty quickly, but I do think that Cy falls in love pretty hard and realizes the way he had been living his life until this point needed to change. Jolie is a strong, independent, beautiful, hard working and devoted mother. The fact that she is doing everything she can to make sure her kids have a good life and her youngest son has the medical help he needs is admirable. Jolie being the amazing person she is, rubs off on Cy, which causes the turn around in his outlook.
Cy’s family is a real piece of work! His father, mother and two brothers are extremely greedy, and the way they view the world and what the world owes to them had my mouth hanging open! Their characters were a great added element to this story.
I would highly recommend this book to any romance lover, the story is touching, beautiful and sexy. I can’t wait to see what becomes of Cy and Jolie in the next book!

This third book in the Colorado Chapter by Manda Mellett is just as exciting as the first! My interest is captured on the first few pages and I found that I couldn’t put it down. There are so many events that happen in this story that you won’t want to stop reading until you reach the end. The emotions in this book are so raw for the male character that I couldn’t help but to tear up. So, grab a cozy blanket, a cup of coffee, and dive in!

Pieces of a Lie by Rowena Holloway. It’s not often that I feel completely in the dark reading a story. I’m a girl who takes great pride in figuring out things fast but this book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I wasn’t sure what to expect and I loved every minute of it. The main characters are complex and relatable, the author writes them in a way that readers get so completely drawn into their world. From page one I knew I was in for quite the adventure with them. Every twist and turn had my head spinning in all the right was. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. If you’re looking for a book that keeps you guessing then go get this one right now. Five stars all the way and highly recommended. Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next!

Devil’s Due: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #3) by Manda Mellett – Review by Randall Murphy This book stands on its own but has characters best understood by reading the series in order. An enforcer is chosen from the mother chapter to help find the Colorado Prez find his new VP. But fate has other plans and the enforcer witnesses a hit and run that draws him into something bigger, romantically and dramatically. The characters continue to be ripe and authentic while still showing the various sides of what is perceived as a rough and hard-core group. The females are strong in their own rights and able to hold their own in the story. “Stevie,” the female lead, is written especially well. She’s easy to fall in love with and inspires others in the story and reading the story.

Imprisoned Online is the first book in the Gaming the System series by P.A. Wikoff. It is a sci-fi, futuristic fantasy story- with adventure, video gaming, role-playing, action, drama, virtual reality, twists, group play- that also has a bit of a dystopian feel to it too. I have read and enjoyed some of Mr. Wikoff’s other books and enjoyed them- and this one seemed quite intriguing-with the whole online gaming and prison synopsis, so I really wanted to find out where the story would lead. It has a bit of a TRON vibe to it, but is definitely an original story with it’s own identity and unique flare. There is plenty of action, danger, and drama as the story unfolds. Seph’s world is interesting and certainly felt very ‘real’. He isn’t like other members of his society; he hasn’t lost himself in the gaming world- but then finds himself in an online jail- where he will need to learn and adapt very quickly- if he is to have any chance to survive. Player vs player to earn the experience points to ‘progress through the game’. So, will this non-gamer learn the ropes quickly enough? Does he have any chance of progressing through, and surviving this cyber experience? This intriguing story is well worth the read to find out. The story is wonderfully detailed and descriptive- bringing the story and characters to ‘life’. The characters were well developed, interesting, and somewhat quirky. Making this a really fun and engaging read.

Such an interesting book and a great Debut for this author! I enjoyed this book throughout its entirety and the author’s writing style was great. There was so much detail that I felt like I was experiencing the story with the main characters. Speaking of Charcters, they all were fantastic. I’m having a hard time picking a favorite because they’re all great and have their own awesomeness about them. This is a SciFi book that takes us to different worlds, and the author has a handy Dandy guide at the beginning of the book that helps with the who’s who. A book full of suspenseful awesomeness, I enjoyed traveling through space time and I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future. I would recommend this to anyone that likes Science Fiction books! Happy Reading!
