Friend (What Happens on Campus Series Book 3) by M.L. Sparrow – Review by Michelle Mulvey

FriendFriend by M.L. Sparrow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Friend by M.L. Sparrow is Book 3 in the series. I’m not sure if maybe I should’ve read the others before reading this book but, I don’t think that is the case. The main characters I. This book are Jet and Terri. Terri was attacked one night when she was out alone. She was usually with her friend Jet but that night he was home. Luckily for her Ben and his dog Jester were there and scared off the attacker but unfortunately it wasn’t soon enough. However, Terri feels Jester and Ben saved her life.

Jet and Terri have been friends….best friends for years. All this time, Terri has had a big crush on Jet but he never knew and they were just friends. Finally during spring break, most of the crew goes home except, you guessed it…Terri and Jet stayed on campus. Jet spends a lot of time helping Terri overcome her fear and keep her busy. While they are out Jet finally realizes he has real feeling for her. Feelings that are more then friendship. Will Terri take Jet seriously or will she think he’s just doing this because of what happened?
I thought this book was well written but, it couldn’t keep my attention. I feel like the pages were drawn out and found myself putting my kindle down and taking a break after every chapter.

Elemental Fae Academy: Book Two (Elemental Fae Academy #2)Elemental Fae Academy: Book Two by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I wanna scream to everyone I know to read this series! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book!

I thought Book #1 in this series was amazing, that was until I picked up this one! Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn has done it again this book was filled with action, adventure, suspense, romance, high fantasy and magic! I loved everything about this read, it was full of twists and turns that had you on the edge of your seat. It leaves you guessing what could happen and has you believing you are there alongside the characters in their journey. Once again its a mentally visual read that I thoroughly enjoy getting captivated in. This is a world that you are transported into and don’t want to leave. I absolutely love following the main characters journey and the growth they make.

I can’t wait to be thrown back into this world and see where Book #3 takes us. I highly recommend this book to really find out more!

Draigon Weather (The Legacies of Arnan Book 1) by Paige L. Christie – Review by Angela Hayes

Draigon Weather (The Legacies of Arnan, #1)Draigon Weather by Paige L. Christie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Draigon Weather is the first book in The Legacies of Arnan Series by Paige L. Christie. This was her debut novel, although she has released several more since. Draigon Weather is my first read from Ms. Christie, so I really didn’t know what to expect when I dove in. I knew by having read the blurb, that it held a lot of promise and hoped that it would satisfy all of my expectations. I am pleasantly surprised by what I found inside the covers of this book and am happy that I stumbled on the book in my recommended book feed. I love finding a new series, and author, to follow- and am excited to see where the rest of the series leads us, and what else Ms. Christie can create.
This is an epic and very original fantasy- with action, adventure, sci-fi and western elements, danger, intrigue, draigons, oppression, shame, secrets, lies, drama, friendship, families, truth, tragedy, courage, determination, and sacrifice. The story has depth, heart, and soul. It is entirely believable, as Ms. Christie created a complex world, and characters, who were so realistic- they were fully realised places, and individuals- brought to life by some clever word-smithing. And they continued to develop and grow as the story progressed.
The story is told from a duel (alternating) POV- which really gave me a great perspective of what was happening- and I really appreciated ‘hearing from both MC’s and getting to know them better.
I am really looking forward to book two and reading what comes next!
If you love a really great Sci-fi/fantasy- with wonderful originality, interesting characters, and enough intrigue to hold your attention……. then this is definitely the book for you!

Thank you, Paige L. Christie!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Friend: A College Romance by M.L. Sparrow is the third book in the What Happens on Campus series. This is a book about friendship developing into more. Terri and Jet have been friends for three years. Terri has been through a traumatic attack which has changed her from being the steadfast and down-to-earth person everyone has relied on. During spring break Jet decides to spend the week with her to help her get back on her feet. This week is the turning point for the two of them. I have always enjoyed books by this author. Her characters are relatable and interesting. Also, her stories read quickly and often leaving me wanting more. This series is the same. The books can be read as standalone but I believe are most likely better enjoyed read in order. I am looking forward to reading more from M.L. Sparrow in the future.

5 out of 5 stars

The story Devil’s Dilemma: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #4) by Manda Mellett is a romantic suspense book. It pulled me in right from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the very last page. I loved reading about the characters of Melissa and Pyro. Melissa is a woman who loves to cook. Although she wouldn’t consider herself wild or adventurous, she soon finds herself in a world that is exciting and one she finds herself liking. Then that man that introduced her to that world disappears. Pyro is a man who steps up to help Melissa when she really needs it. He soon finds it hard to hold back the feelings that he has for her. She is already claimed. What does the future hold for Melissa and Pyro? What happened to the man who introduced Melissa to a world that she now finds herself in? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading. It also had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I grew to care about Melissa and Pyro with each chapter that I read. It is not hard to root for them to be happy. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are in the book. Some of them are brought forward from the other books in the series and I enjoyed reading about them again. This is a story that will have you glued to the pages and not wanting to put it down until you have finished. I highly recommend it.

Friend (What Happens on Campus Series Book 3) by M L Sparrow – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Friend: A College Romance is the 3rd book in the What Happens on Campus series by ML Sparrow. I didn’t read book 1, and think this could be enjoyed as a stand alone book. However, it’s going to make you want to read the rest! The characters overlap in the stories, and the timeline, however, there is enough detail to enjoy on it’s own. I love the characters in the book because they are realistic. The feelings and emotions and relationships they have are those you might have had as a college student. I highly recommend this book and series.
This is the story of Terri and Jet finally realizing they could be great together. They have been best friends for years, but the feelings were one sided. Terri has been crushing on Jet since day 1, but he was totally clueless until a friend pointed it out. Then it was all he could do to NOT think of them as a couple. It’s like it just clicked one day and great things happened. I don’t want to give it away, so just go read it.

Ailey of Skye by Wendy Hewlett – Review by Liz Vrchota

Ailey of SkyeAiley of Skye by Wendy Hewlett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I must start with the fact that this book’s main character bears a special name, and one that is my middle name. I love this! It is so rare to see Aileen spelled with an A. I suppose I was already invested in Aileen before I really even began the book. This is what attracted me to it when I read the blurb. I have never had the pleasure of ready Wendy Hewlett prior to this so I had no idea what to expect. I was extremely happy that I loved this book as much as I did.

Ailey of Skye will take you on an emotional and suspenseful roller-coaster literally from the very beginning straight up until the end. If its got a label the emotion was felt, and a few others I probably can’t name were felt too. Aileen is still new at sobriety and she is running from her past right from the get go when she discovers that she has family in Skye Scotland. Problem is she has no clue who these people are and what the trip will entail. I sincerely felt as if I was right with her as she tackled the dangerous and scary parts in Toronto. I also felt the impact of the gorgeous place that Scotland is. The world building is phenomenal. I will definitely be awaiting whatever may come next from Wendy Hewlett.

Friend (What Happens on Campus Series Book 3) by M L Sparrow – Review by Karyn Taylor

FriendFriend by M.L. Sparrow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Friend: A College Romance (What Happens On Campus Book 3) is a fantastic friends to lovers romance novel by M.L. Sparrow. I had read and loved the first two books in this series Player and Flirt and have been looking forward to Terri and Jet’s story for a long time. I’m so glad to say that it was so worth the wait as this is my favourite book in the series so far (although I have to say I can’t wait to read Payton and Dawson’s story).
Terri and Jet have been best friends for 3 years during which Terri has had a major crush on Jet but has accepted that they will be nothing more than best friends. When Terri is subjected to a vicious sexual assault she pushes everyone, including Jet away. A chance comment from a friend saying that Terri is in love with Jet has him totally re-evaluating their friendship. Deciding that he want to have a relationship with Terri he sets out to prove that he’s the perfect man for Terri. As much as this is what Terri has always wanted to hear, she’s in a very vulnerable state and tries to push Jet away.
This is a very powerful friends to lovers romance. The author does a fantastic job of dealing with the aftermath of a sexual assault. This book has all the feels and my heart broke for Terri (and Jet) on many occasions.
I loved the dynamic between these two characters, their total devotion to each other is heartwarming. If there was ever 2 friends who deserved a HEA then it’s these 2. But will they get their HEA? The path to true love never runs smooth and these 2 are no exception.
I have absolutely loved this series so far and Friend is my favourite…at the moment!

Evil SushiEvil Sushi by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you love C. A. King books, you do not want to miss Evil Sushi. One thing I love about C. A. King is the fact that she grabs my attention at the very beginning of the story and she holds it until the very end. Ms. King’s characters are engaging and realistic like they are apart of my circle of friends, Her attention to detail is amazing. I feel like I am right there with the characters throughout the book. Evil Sushi is no exception. As the author left this at the end of her synopsis, “Is Evil Sushi fiction, the ramblings of a lunatic, or a prophecy as to what may come to pass? Pick this one up and decide for yourself.”

Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy, #1)Elemental Fae Academy by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elemental Fae Academy is the first book in the Elemental Fae Academy series by Lex C. Foss & J. R. Thorn. This story has reverse harem paranormal. Romance, and fantasy. The characters pop of the page which make them that more real as they can be apart of the real world. The story is about Claire. Claire thinks that she is a normal human college student. This all changes when she turned twenty-one and kisses a handsome stranger. Claire finds out that she is apart of the Fae community. All of this is new to her and she has a lot to learn and as quickly as she can. There is so much more involved that meets the eye, that I cannot give out too much. You will have to read and see for yourself. I love this story so much that I cannot wait to read the other books in this series.

Friend (What Happens on Campus Series Book 3) by M L Sparrow – Review by Moriah Venable

FriendFriend by M.L. Sparrow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Friend is the third novel in the What Happens on Campus series by M. L. Sparrow. This is my fourth novel by this author.

Terri is the twin that is proud to be able to take care of herself but her life changes when she gets attacked on campus. She decides to stay home for Spring Break.

Her best friend Jet stays on campus with her to fill her days with fun and to help her heal. For three years, he has paid no interest to her feelings for him. While struggling to be a writer, he starts to see Terri in a new light. Can he convince her his feelings are real?

This is my favorites of the series so far. It was a little hard to read because of the topic and Terri’s attack but I am so grateful that the author including this as part of the plot because it is something that does happen a lot on college grounds and sometimes it feels like it gets swept under the rug with not much being done.

I hope we get more of the series because I love college romances.

Finally Terri and Jet get their story! She has been after him for soo long but has been friend zoned. He gets a wake up call and thing start looking up. The only problem is she is skittish after her attack. She isn’t sure she can handle more with him. Wish granted —but not.

This is a lovely story. I enjoyed catching up with these two as well as the rest of the crew. Seeing Terri figuring out how to move forward along with how Riley and Cam are doing is wonderful. My fav part of the whole story is Ben. I loved how she didn’t shy away from him even before he protected her. Then to help him and Jester out was so nice!

This is a tough story but it’s not my fav in the series. It seems a little drawn out and not drawn out enough. I would think she would be changed after the attack that would take time and not only a few months. Just me thinking and probably incorrectly since I have not been in those shoes.

This is my third in third in this series. I really love all these characters. Maybe Dawson and Payton could be the fourth? The stories are a little harder/edgier and easily keep my interest. Another solid story from this author.

OMG I love this series, I’ve read many books by this author and will read everything she ever writes and that obsession started with this series. Trust me when I say you need this series in your life and read them all in order just because they are that good and there is a continuing story throughout.

This is about 3 very different men that share the same blood and the same evil father and also the same mission. Each one is about one of the brothers and the women that capture their hearts but bring their own baggage. Mix all of this together and you have vintage India Kells…Twists, turns, unique storylines and emotionally filled pages.

The best part of all of this is there is more to come, more players to join the mix and I can not wait for every one of them. I have no idea how she plans to work the rest of this series but you can bet I’ll be one of the first in line to find out.

One click this box set and then make some time because I promise you will not want to put them down!

Amazingly Awesome!!

This book was such an amazing start to a new series and i absolutely loved it. The writing was great and the author had a way of grabbing my attention and keeping it throughout the entirety of the book. This book is about Jayden and Paladin. They are two fantastic characters that went so well together and you just couldn’t help but root for them from the very beginning. The two meet when the Satan’s Devil MC rescues Jayden and she couldn’t help but fall for Paladin rather quickly. They move to a different MC compound in Colorado and life is rocky. Pulled in every direction, its seems like everyone is against them but will their love thrive or parish in beautiful Colorado?
I cannot wait to read the rest of this authors work! This book was an awesome one and i have high hopes for the rest of the series! I would recommend to anyone that loves a good MC romance!
Happy Reading!

Friend: A College Romance is the third book in the What Happens on Campus Series by M.L. Sparrow. This friends to lovers college romance is a perfect addition to this series. This book can be read as a standalone but the whole series is great and I recommend you read it in order. This story does contain violence and the aftermath of an attack, which I think dealt with these issues in a responsible way. Terri Murphy is a strong woman overcoming a violent attack, and when her best friend Jet Chang stays with her on spring break. They finally start seeing each other in a new light. This book had me hooked on the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the last. The write was smooth and the characters were true to life. Flower Shields by C. A. King is an interesting introduction. Our heroine in this story, Tara, seems destined for anonymity. Such a plain mousey young lady doesn’t seem to make for an interesting tale. But in all good stories there is always more than meets the eye. Someone finds her very interesting. By the time our hero arrives on the scene I was quite caught up in the story. The introduction, Flower Shields, to The Four Horseman novels has been intriguing to say the least. This was a wonderful book, it pulled me right in. Terri, who we met in a previous book in this series, is a very independent, smart, reliable, and strong woman. She has went through a traumatic experience and it’s hard for her to navigate how to deal with it and how to ask for help when she needs it because it’s not something she is comfortable doing. Her best friend Jet has always been there for her but she has secretly had a crush on him for the last three years. He wants to be there for her and help her he just isn’t sure what’s the best way to go about doing that, but that doesn’t stop him from trying. These two are so adorable and I found myself wanting the best for them. There are characters from the previous books in this book and I love that. This is a must read if you want to know if these two find love together.

Secrets Never DieSecrets Never Die by Laurie L.C. Lewis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Secrets Never Die by Laurie Lewis is a very, very clever suspense story that keep you on your toes as you try to navigate the delightful twists and turns. It really shows off Laurie’s talent as an author as the plot whilst seemingly random, is one dance that is so intricately woven together, yet delivered to draw you in. The characters are well developed and believable to read. There is a lot of swearing and some violence, so beware if you don’t like that sort of thing, but that only enhanced the reading. There is also action and drama, violence and death, suspense and thrills that will keep you tied to your chair as you try to piece it all together. It is great to see Laurie branch out from the norm of historical romance and produce such a great read.

You need to read and discover the world that Laurie has created so you won’t be getting any spoilers from me.
