Evil Sushi (Evil Sushi Series Book 1) by C.A. King was a thrilling read that had me hooked.
Not my first read by this author, so I was excited to see this little wonder appear. The cover captured my attention (as does all the covers for this author) and once I read the synopsis, I was hooked, line and sinker.
As I am a fan of horror, and fantasy, this was a pleasant mix that really kept me reading. The detail was to shelf as per-normal with this author, and the story telling alluring. This book takes you into a darkness that has a bit of realism to it, making this read all the more heart pounding. The tone and flow matched and helped with keeping you not only engaged but on the edge of your seat.
Original and fresh this book is a must read, so please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will not beadle to put this book down, or look at certain things we eat, the same way again.

King – Review by Emily Walsh
All That’s Left Unsaid by Rowena Holloway is a well written Psychological thriller that I could NOT put down! Secrets, drama, suspense, truth, lies, and a mother and daughter all rolled into one made this a book that will draw reader’s right into the story. Harriet Taylor travels to the Amalfi Coast in the hopes to see her mother in which she is estranged mother via her long time friend. But she doesn’t think she will find secrets or even a killer. As she gets closer to the truth about her mom and her past, she stubbles upon a secret, and one that someone would kill in order to keep it hidden.
This well written book will bring you right into this story. The author did an amazing job with the location and you can close your eyes and almost feel you are on the beautiful coast of Italy. You can feel the emotions the main character is faced with. All this truly shows the talent of the author. This is my first book by Rowena Holloway and it will not be my last. I highly recommend this five star read!
Flower Shields by C.A King was a fun and great read. I would give this book a five out of five stars. I loved Tara’s character, she is down on her luck and needed something to work out. I really was rooting for her from the first page. I was interested in the back story that was presented, I really liked C.A King’s twist. I enjoy God, Demigod, Angels, and Demons paranormal stories and those characters really came off of the page for this one.

The Men of Holmby Hills: Chase (The Holmby Hills Series Book 1) By: Allyson Simonian 5 out of 5 stars
The story The Men of Holmby Hills: Chase (The Holmby Hills Series Book 1) by Allyson Simonian is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that is fast-paced and pulls you in from the very beginning. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Chase and Carrie. Chase is an actor who you could say he is self-centered and selfish. He is finding that his wife, Carrie may be realizing that he doesn’t deserve her. Carrie is a young woman who is kind and caring. She is someone who loves to teach and has compassion for others. She is finding that she and Chase are not connecting. Will Chase be able to show Carrie just how amazing that he believes her to be? What does the future hold for Chase and Carrie? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has emotional moments. With a book being fast-paced, sometimes it is hard to get to know the characters. Not so with this story. I grew to care about Chase and Carrie with each chapter that I read and wanted them to be happy. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that has amazing characters. I highly recommend reading it.

This is the first book i’ve read from this author and it completely intrigued me. I loved that one character is famous in a book and I wanted to see how it played out.
Carrie is a school teacher and it seemed that her relationship to chase was on the fast track. She was completely enthralled but being married to someone famous was completely different from what we believe it would be. Chase is an awesome hero and wants to change stuff to make his life and image better but there are battles!
This is the first book in this series and I will say I’m intrigued on what else this series holds.

Darcy’s Caution is book three in the Pride and Prejudice and Racecars series by Zoe Burton. I loved this read truly and loved reading about Will and Liz. Married not long and they face so much together but all it has done is bring these two newlyweds closer. When Liz is taken by a stalker who wants his wife out of the picture, Will, won’t stop until he finds his wife, and stop the madness his stalker brings into their lives. I loved this book and it held me from page one and until the end. I felt the author gave us a great story line, made us feel apart if the action, and the perfect mix of romance and suspense. I cannot wait to read more! I would recommend reading all the books in this series, because it truly is an awesome series and any romance reader will love! I give this book 4 stars and highly recommend.

The story Hitting The High Note (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 3) by C.A. King is a paranormal/fantasy book. It is a story that will find you turning pages to find out what happens next. I enjoyed reading about the character of Uriel. He is one of the four horsemen. He wears a cowboy hat and doesn’t back down when conflict occurs. Bekka is a woman that loves music. She, however, doesn’t socialize very well. She wasn’t exactly nice when she met Uriel. She then meets a gentleman. Her meeting with both of them turns her world upside down. Will Uriel be able to help Bekka? Bekka has a choice to make. One that can change lives. Read this book to find out the full story of Uriel and Bekka. This book has action and danger. The story is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. I also enjoyed that reading about the additional characters in the story. Some of them have been brought forward from the first two stories so they are familiar. Don’t miss out on a book that will take you on a journey that is exciting and intriguing. Draigon Weather (The Legacies of Arnan Book 1) By: Paige L. Christie 5 out of 5 stars
The story Draigon Weather (The Legacies of Arnan Book 1) by Paige L. Christie is a coming of age/fantasy book. It is a story that takes you on a journey that you will not want to put down until the final page. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Leiel and Cleod. Leiel is a young woman who lost her mother when she was sacrificed to the Draigon to relieve a drought. This touched Leiel and her life was never the same after. Cleaod is Leiel’s friend. He has vowed that he will avenge her mother and will keep Leiel safe. Read this book and find out how both of their lives take different paths. This is a story that is exciting to read. The story is vivid and has such detail that at times I felt like I was right there with the characters. The story was also an emotional one. I grew to care about Leiel and Cleod with each chapter that I read, and you can’t help but want their lives to be happy ones. There are other additional characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about many of them. There is fantastic world-building and I found myself turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. This is a book I would highly recommend reading.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it and will be looking for more from her. This is a romance story that I read in one sitting. It is a well developed story that has characters that are connectable and made the story realistic. Chase is the opposite of his wife, Carrie. What will happen to their relationship when she finds out he has a secret? Are they strong enough to survive the aftermath? Emotional story in parts that will keep you reading. I highly recommend this book.

This is the first book by this author I have read, I enjoyed it from beginning. It is a fantasy book that is creative and engaging. The characters are well developed and connectable. The author’s details of the story made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. This story is told in the POV of two different characters at two different times, this was done nicely, easy flowing. As not to say too much but I will be looking for part two of this story. I highly recommend this book.

The four horsemen’s journey continues and in this installment we get to see more of Uriel. His task is to protect everyone from the gates of Hell opening. A Dark Sparrow Box Set – Books 1-3 contains the first three amazing books in the Dark Sparrow Series by India Kells. I have loved everything India Kells has written, and these books are no exception. They were riveting from beginning to end- and I though Ms. Kells wove a really gripping, well thought out, and intriguing stories. Each one focuses on one ‘brother’ and the woman who steals his heart. But you will see them make appearances throughout the series. Each book adds to the bigger picture that’s being built- adding more facets to the overall story. So this is a really great way to get all the story without- 3 for the price of one- now that’s a great deal! My review for each individual book can be found on each title separately, this is a general over view of the box set.
The Box Set contains:
–Lost Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book One) This is Aleksei and Diva’s story. So, if you are a MMA/ Russian Mafia romantic suspense lover, then this is one book you won’t want to miss.
–Cold Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book 2) E follow Archer and Zoe through all the intriguing developments in this fantastic second chance romance. Even though I have adored all the books and characters in this series- this one dug itself a little deeper into my heart and is my favourite of the bunch (so far).
–Wild Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book 3) I loved Isabelle and Kai’s story, and I am sure you will too. There is danger, suspense and second chances that will have you hooked right till the end.
These books are so well written with lots of multi-layered and complex texturing- which resulted in exciting and incredibly entertaining reads. There were a lot of funny quips and banter too, which help to lighten the emotional, or highly charged moments which occurred throughout the stories. I loved the way Ms. Kells developed her characters, they were all fantastic and very interesting (even the baddies)- because they pulled me further and further into the story, leaving me with a desperate need to know what was going to happen. Ms. Kells creates quite brilliant, intricate, and suspenseful storylines which included lots of action, danger, deadly games of cat and mouse, perilous situations, evil masterminds, lots of secrets, difficult choices, shocking revelations, electrifying chemistry… and so much more! I really recommend this Box Set, as I am sure you will love it just as much as I have. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Kells has in store for us next!

Paladin’s Hell: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #1 by author Manda Mellett tells the story of Paladin and Jayden and is the first book I have read by this author. I can honestly say that I was a little lost at the beginning of this book that is said to be a standalone novel. The backstory of Paladin and Jayden was told quickly to give some insight into what came before. Once that was done, I found the story to be enjoyable and now I feel like I need to go to the author’s back list and read what I missed. I will continue on with the series since now I am looking forward to seeing what comes next!

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. When I first opened this book the first thing that I see is a very pretty fae at the top of the chapter. For me this set the tone for the book and I was pulled in after that. The characters are connectable and brought the story to life. Sabrina is tasked with stealing an item but in order to break the barrier protecting it she may have to put herself in danger. I recommend reading this book to find out what happens next.

The Men of Holmby Hills: Chase, is the first book in The Holmby Hills series by Allyson Simonian. It is a short story- and made for a quick and easy read. It is a contemporary romance- with drama, a touch of mystery, secrets, and realizing what’s truly important. I though this was a good story, but it didn’t grab me the way some of Ms. Simonian’s other work has done. I don’t really know why exactly, perhaps I am just having an ‘off’ day. But this is what I came away feeling. The story did feel a little rushed in places, and some of the story/situations were skimmed over and I felt like I didn’t really get the chance to immerse myself in the story because everything happened so quickly, too quickly at times. I would have liked to have read a slightly longer version of this book, so the characters got more of a chance to develop and grow- I’m not saying that there wasn’t any depth to the story or characters, because there was some, but Not enough to have me invest in them and their story. I did prefer the second half of the book to the first halt- as there was some drama, a touch of danger, and a little more action- which gave the story an added interest. Chase is a well-known actor working on a popular series. His immature ways, playboy ways, and thoughtless actions have given him some bad press of late and his image is in serious need of an overhaul. When he meets Carrie, she’s like a breath of fresh air- and he’s immediately drawn to her. He asks her out- and one date soon leads to more. A whirlwind romance ensues, followed by a trip down the aisle. But when secrets are revealed it shatters her trust and everything starts crumbling around them. Carrie is a high school history teacher when she meets Chase on set. She is completely smitten by him and can’t believe this sexy celebrity is showing any interest in her. Everything happens so fast, one minute they’re dating and the next they’re married. But life with a celebrity isn’t everything she’d imagined it would be.- there are some serious drawbacks, especially when he’s so self-centred. She starts to feel a little lost, withdrawn and unsure of herself. She really doesn’t feel comfortable in his world- not that he’s doing anything to try to make things easier for her. Finding out a few ‘truths’ shocks her back into reality. But where do they go from here? Chase has some serious changes to make if he wants to fix things. Will he even be bothered? And if he is, will it be too little too late? I really didn’t like Chase for most of the book, and he only just redeemed himself a little by the end. He really is everything the blurb says- spoiled, arrogant, self centred, selfish, pompous, career driven, and very immature. I couldn’t believe the way he treated Carrie- she was so sweet, understanding, shy, and smart. So, she really didn’t deserve the way he treated her. But I felt a little better about everything with the way the story ended- with hope and love. If you want to know what happens with Chase and Carrie, you really should read all the details for yourself!

This story caught me at the first page. There is a chemistry that causes sparks between Will and Rusty that let me see their relationship like a vision. I am not a huge western setting reader, get enough of that on old tv, but Ms. Scott used her incredible talent to give this one FIRE! This book took me away from the reality of my life today and I had a terrible time trying to make myself put it down! Her writing style is brilliant and easy to read. I highly suggest grabbing a copy today, you will not regret it! A review by Rhonda K. Pulk.

OF WAR AND TATERS by Ashley Chappell. I LOVED this book. Such a fun, gossipy read! This is the story of the small town of Merit and how things can get turned into much bigger things than they are! It all starts when the National News picks up the news story that Merit has a Gang War going on. What the paper failed to mention is that the gangs are 4th graders and actually best friends. Stanley Grace the Sheriff of the town who never has excitement like this is thrown in the spotlight. The gangs are called the Upper and Lower Jelly River gangs. There is also a circus in town and we get to meet all the weird characters. But when real danger shows up will the Sheriff be able to handle it before someone gets really hurt? Kids and adults will love this book.

I haven’t read the previous books by Manda Mellett but I loved learning the history between Paladin and Jayden as well as getting to know the other characters.
I loved how this story is completely original! I have never read anything like it and it was so beautifully done. I cannot wait to consume the next books in this series!

This is a wonderful second story in this series. While this deals with a heavy subject and it was done very nicely. Each of the two MC have dealt with abuse in one form or another. As they came to terms they realized they held an affection for each other. I liked seeing these two deals with their problems and figure out how to move forward. It takes friends and the love of family and these two have both.
It was great seeing The other Lawsons and finding out how Jamie and Kira are doing. Plus we get a look at Ben and how he is dealing with his life now. I look forward to Bens story.
This is the second book by this author for me. I like how she puts the story together and deals with major issues. It’s nice that they don’t dominate the story so we can feel for these characters and enjoy them moving forward.

All That’s Left Unsaid by Rowena Holloway is a book that will suck you in from page one and leave you wanting more even after the last page. The characters in this book are well developed and relatable. The book is a rollercoaster of emotions and twists and turns to keep you interested. I really enjoyed the mystery and guessing. This is the first book I have read by this author, but I Really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to read more by this author. I give this book a solid 5 stars.
I’m not quite sure I understand how she does it. But King continues to just absolutely blow my mind with the stories tat she puts to page. This book is yet another thrilling example of a suspenseful, thrilling tale filled with fantasy and detailed imagery. King is at the top of my must read list these days. Everything she writes truly is pure magic. This book lived up to her reputation. I simply couldn’t put it down nor read it fast enough. Amazing!

King – Review by Heather Lovelace
It’s difficult to say what I like best about this book. It resonated with me because our hero, Rafe, in this story is dealing with a real life situation as best he can. It’s a situation that I myself am experiencing at this time . It’s difficult emotionally to care for an aging parent and it was quite refreshing to see this addressed in a good science fiction story. I could identify with him and it made the story comforting and made my own burden seem somewhat lighter. In Not Fade Away, once again Donna S. Frelick gives us a strong hero and heroine. Charlie is very confident and sure of herself. She, like all good caregivers, knows there’s more than one patient. It was such a good story I’m pretty sure I will be reading it again.

I have read a few novels by this author and once again she did not disappoint me. For me, Evil Sushi was almost a commentary on what life on earth could be like if we continue on our current path, minus the murderous sea monster of course. Evil Sushi has everything every good fantasy novel needs. It has suspense, a villain, a hero, and love. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series. If you are wanting a fun read, I gladly recommend Evil Sushi.

Evil Sushi by C.A. King is the first book in the new Evil Sushi series. I was excited to read a new series by this author because I have enjoyed everything I have read from her in the past. What happens when two fishermen make an amazing discovery which can change the world as we know it? This is a crazy ride which combines tales of old and reality. I was wondering where I was going to be taken next. There are some crazy moments and some which had me a bit spooked. Overall this is a fun ride and I look forward to more in this series to see where C.A. King goes next.

Darcy’s Caution (Pride and Prejudice and Racecars Book 3) by Zoe Burton 4 out of 5 stars The third installment of this romance sportsman book will get your heart racing. Will is a stock car driver who loves when the rubber meets the road, but he loves Liz even more. Liz is smart, independent and super stubborn. She is also absolutely head over heels in love with Will. These two together are absolutely beautiful and their love for each other is incredible. Outside forces threaten Will and Darcy and a jealous stalker threatens the safety of Liz. Will cannot stand that Liz could be in trouble. When Liz disappears, Will won’t stop at nothing to get her back. Burton does an incredible job of creating both a romantic and suspenseful story that will have you turning the page faster and faster to find out what happens to Will and Liz Darcy.

All That’s Left Unsaid by Rowena Holloway was a great suspenseful read. I would give this book a five out of five stars. Harriett is such a relatable character, with everything upside she is on a mission to prove herself. I love these types of lead characters because the book grabs me more. The development was great, I loved the mystery, and the family drama is always a kicker for me. I enjoyed the pace and plot was great too. I really felt stuck in on this journey with Harriet.
