Siren’s Call: Cursed Seas By Amy McKinley. I’ll admit at first I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this story because it’s a bit outside my comfort zone but I was definitely pleasantly surprised by the fact I loved it! This author has a special gift with words. This story is so different from others I’ve read by this author and I mean that it all the right ways. The characters are complex and well written that bring the story to life. The story is well thought out and paced nicely. I was hooked from beginning to end. A few twists thrown in and I was one happy reader. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it and this author. Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next.
Here we are again with another wonderful set of stories in the Guilty Pleasure series – full of passion, chemistry and some very steamy moments! I love reading about Brad *swoon* and all the sexy things that he gets up to! The stories in this collection may be short but they are in no way any less steamy! Joyce McCartyh definitely has a talent for writing these short, steamy stories; they certainly knows how to raise the temperature quickly! The pace and flow of the whole book is fantastic and absolutely keeps your interest from beginning to end! I am really looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future!
Trouble in Mind is another excellent story in the Interstellar Rescue Series – I absolutely love getting lost in this authors writing! Her attention to detail is amazing and it makes for some great world building. I think that this may be my favourite from the series so far! I loved Alana and Gabriel! They were fantastic characters to read about and I was fully invested in their story and everything that was going on! I loved the twists and turns and guessing alongside the characters about just what was going on – things definitely weren’t as they first appeared! Multiple Points of View meant that I was fully immersed in the story from beginning to end. The authors’ writing was great with a fantastic pace and flow! I am definitely looking forward to reading more from the series and this author in the future!

The Season Finale by Heather Silvio fab four-star read. This is number six in the Paranormal Talent Agency series and ends the series nicely. I would recommend you read the series in order as characters do pop up in other people’s stories and you, get a great background and flow from all stories, also the stories aren’t overly long so they can all read quickly. This was a good one, as how far would you go to get to the truth? Would you risk the life of those you love, to find it? This will have you asking that question. This series has been great overall.

This is a cute story that any older child/young adult would enjoy. I found it to have a creative plot that kept us reading. The child I read it with loved the building of the monster in the basement. He was engaged from beginning to end. This is about Monty who has once again moved, which means a new school, new friends and of course new bullies. He builds himself a friend but what if he has to undo his friend when he is suspected of eating children? I highly recommend reading this book.

The story Monty and the Monster by Rhonda Smiley is an enjoyable book to read. It is a story that is well written and does a wonderful job in presenting a storyline and characters that are entertaining to read about. It is a book that young adults would enjoy. There is the main character of Monty Hyde. He is in the 7th grade and is once again moving to a new home and town. Monty is a character that doesn’t like starting over again as he has had to 4 times in the last 2 years. He feels like he never fits in. When he finds a mysterious replication serum in the basement, he decides that he is going to make a friend, literally. They spend time together and Monty’s creation soon becomes the best friend that he has. His creation, however, is stinky, hairy, and might be eating the neighborhood kids? Read this book to find out the full story of what happens in the life of Monty and his creation. Monty is a character that can easily be identified with. He feels that he is not understood and is an outcast. He is dealing with a new school, bullies, and feeling misunderstood. There are funny and humorous moments as well as ones that made me feel sad. There are additional characters that are introduced and interact with Monty that are enjoyable to read about as well. This is a story that teaches its readers about friendship, love, and acceptance.

So….this book..was difficult to like for the first half. I got frustrated at Toby. Always evading answers and he just seemed too happy. That frustrated and confused me. I struggled because the scenes flitted from one to the other and again…Toby is acting weird. I wonder if this could have been a little written differently to make it more palatable to the reader. But if surprise, wonder, confusion and suspense is what the author is going for…nailed it! So along comes the second half and i was pleasantly surprised and shocked a bit. This easily kept my interest and i wanted to know more about what was happening This half gave me what I was missing…answers.
This is a first time author for me. I struggled with the first half because i felt it was jumbled and that frustrated me. The second half outshined the first. I never suspected a thing even though I was racking my brain trying to figure it all out. The characters were done very well. I enjoyed them and their time together. Overall it’s a nice story.

A great read about a story. Elizabeth “Liz” Addison is a journalist who is never scared off a story. She is tasked with investigating into Catherine Rodham, an ordinary empath and head of the Paranormal Talent Agency. But there seems to be more to the story as events unravel and Liz finds her life threatened by a mysterious force. Can she and her friends find the truth before it’s too late? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Liz confident but scared underneath or Tony as funny but kind underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the sarcastic Mia or Catherine unsure of herself. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the cafe with its homely feel with the booths and soft chairs wonderfully written. Or the vivid colours with the scenes with Rowan and the mist and lightning with sounds and smells so strong its as if you’re actually there. Or the church chapel later on with its dark and empty interior for that sense of unease wonderfully written. A great example of world building with fantatsical beings living alongside humanity with their own rules and laws and societies. I also liked the use of Rowan as something new to the fantays genre, fresh and exciting and dangerous. I also liked the use of Liz as a main character, giving her a chance to shine instead of just being in the background with her own drive and fears. I also liked the feel of the series coming to a close, bringing all characters together and tying up loose ends wonderfully done. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Heather did not disappoint in the end, the level of thrills and mystery kept the pages turning. This is a quick read and feels even quicker as you race to the finish to see how it ends.
Liz has been given the task to find out just who the owner of the Paranormal Talent Agency is and as we know she is not one to back down from getting the story no matter that her life could be forfeit in 3 days. In the gangs usual fashion they learn and discover more about themselves as they venture on the task of finding the truth and maybe a little passion along the way.

This book was a great addition and finale to the Paranormal Talent Agency series. It was a quick read that I blasted through and enjoyed quite a bit. Liz is our main character and she is a TV reporter. She’s sent on the story of a lifetime but she isn’t quite sure what the story is even about. All she knows is that it involves the talent agencies owner Catherine Rodham. Things start spiraling out of control as the story unfolds and Liz has to make some hard decisions that her life and other lives might depend on! Will she end up making the right decisions or will she end up hurting those around her? I enjoyed this story and I am looking forward to reading more by this author. Happy reading!!

If you have any experience with Kells you anticipate that this will be another smoking hot, chemistry filled, intense page-turner. And you would be right. The characters jump off the page and the detail is fantastic. Although part of a series this book can stand on its own without the reader feeling behind in the narrative. Extremely well written and well paced between the drama and romance. Kells is a must read and only continues to reinforce this opinion with every book I read.

As the “Billionaire Bodyguards” series continues and I get further away from the “Torzial Affair” series I realize a re-read is in order.
UNDERCOVER is a fast paced suspense that had me all over the place trying to figure out the details as the author was throwing red herrings every which way.
It is a cleverly written story with characters jet setting all around the world. There were times that the action was so intense, I could visualize the words as if I was watching a movie orr an episode of NCIS.
I was able to devour this story in one setting and I absolutely recommend it.

I tend to read books that sound interesting based on the synopsis offered to entice the reader and Love Me, Dreamy by Laura Burton sounded intriguing. I must admit at the beginning of the book I was a little lost, for me it was not making a lot of sense. My initial thought was where is she going with this story of Toby and Amelia. The more I got into the story, although I was still confused, I was also intrigued. I wanted to complete the journey and find out where the author was taking me. I was not disappointed. Love Me, Dreamy kept my attention and the ending was a surprise. I will definitely look for more books by this author in the future

There is so much more to this book, your head will be spinning. Amy McKinley does a great job with her writing, the detail was wonderful and you felt like you were right there with the characters. On saying that this review will be on the writing style of the author. What we have here is reflections on the magic that can be found in life. This book has been written in such a way that in most cases you feel part of the story. I did find that in some parts of the book it did have me thinking that we need to take time for ourselves. While I was not totally into this book there will be those of you out there that will absolutely love this book.

The Season Finale by Heather Silvio is the sixth and final book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series. This could be read as a standalone but I do not recommend it. There is an underlying story in the series that resolves itself in this book. Catherine Rodham has been involved in all sorts of supernatural issues since arriving in Vegas. Why is she being drawn into all these happenings? Reporter Elizabeth Addison is on the case. I have really enjoyed this series and am sorry to see it end. The stories are quick reads but are fun and eventful. This is a great read when you have had a rough day and need to get away from it all. The characters are interesting and I like that they appear in the different books in different circumstances. I also like the mix of paranormal vs regular humans. I will be looking for more from this author in the future for more interesting reads.

This has to be one of my favorite series. Its so light and perfect for the weekend binge! I’ve always enjoyed Heather Silvio’s world that she has created! I promise you will get sucked into this world and you’ll never want to leave!
This book as well as the other’s can be read as standalone but you’ll miss out on the other characters and the full uniqueness of the world! I loved how we finally see Liz from a different perspective than what she was previously looked like!
This is the last book in the series and I will totally miss is but it was perfectly written to conclude this series. It’s one that I’ll come back to and read over and over again!

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love story by Jennifer L Allen is exactly what the title says – a totally sweet love story that will pick you up when you feel down and makes you feel good! I have read couple of other books by the writer which I liked very much so I knew when I picked up Simply Irresistible that I would spend couple of fun hours with Melanie and Tyler who are THE couple of the story. I loved how the writer threw together two nerdy professionals – a 80ies fan and a 90ies fan and who have big dreams while plugging away at the same publishing company! They have ambitions and they also have what backs these ambitions up! Add to this all the great New York City and their different backgrounds and you get a fun story where you laugh a lot and suddenly realize that you have fallen in love! So come along and join their journey!

This book intrigued me and had me wanting to know more just from the front cover. This is my first read from Laura Burton, and she has created a read that is full of suspense, romance and mystery. She has also written it in a way that makes it mentally visual while reading it. She has created two characters that you can’t help but want to follow their journey in this read as you continually get to know them and understand them more and more. I loved watching Amelia and Toby’s chemistry and connection grow, it really makes want them to get a HEA especially after the ups and downs that get thrown their way. Another thing with this read is that it will have you on the edge of your seat with anticipation and suspense and your never actually sure what might happen next.
If you want a book that will keep you guessing and have you hooked page after page then this is the book for you.

Trouble in Mind by Donna S. Frelick is the second book in the Interstellar Rescue series. This book can be read as a stand-alone however both are well worth the read. As with the first book this one takes you on an exciting intergalactic adventure. The main characters were strong and interesting. You felt engaged with them from the beginning. You easily get behind them. The story had a natural flow about it. Once I started reading I was completely lost in what was happening. I found the book was over before I knew it because I was so engrossed in what was happening. This has been a great series so far and I can’t wait to see what else is to come.

The Arrangement Duet Box Set by Madison Quinn is made up of “On His Terms” (Book #1) and “On Her Terms” (Book #2). I have read all of Ms. Quinn’s other books, so I knew that I would enjoy this one too. But I more than enjoyed it- I loved it!! This duet is definitely my favourite of hers, so far. The story really hooked me right from the beginning, and the characters were so easy to invest in- the times I had to put the book down to return to the ‘real’ world was spent thinking about what was happening in the story and how quickly I could wrap up what I was doing and dive back into the book. I loved not having to wait between books, being able to flow right from one and into the next was a real bonus, because the way things ended in book one, I really needed to know what happened next! Kenzie and Nicholas are two damaged individuals who are both carrying a heavy load of pain from their pasts. Both have major trust issues and both are quite guarded. He is a billionaire, and she works two jobs just to make ends meet. He desperately needs some help with a PR nightmare. And she really needs a way to make a better life for herself. So, when a unique opportunity presents itself which will address his PR problem and allow Kenzie to earn way more than she is presently- they both jump at the chance. And so the arrangement begins…. Kenzie and Nicholas are such complex characters- wounded souls who had endured so much. I really felt for them both- hearing what they’d been through was heartbreaking. I was so invested in them- rooting for them the whole way through. Yes, there were times they frustrated me and I wanted to shake some sense into them, but I understood why they were like that at times, because of their pasts. The story is told from a duel point of view, which I really loved because I knew exactly what each character was thinking, their motivations behind their thoughts and actions, and gave me a better understanding of them and of what was going on. The story is angsty, dramatic, intense and captivating. Ms. Quinn builds the tension brilliantly- keeping me hooked the entire way through. The flashbacks that were added to the story really helped to build the backstory, and gave us the insight into what our MC’s had been through. There were some harrowing and disturbing revelations- leaving me quite heartbroken for what they’d endured. There is violence, abuse, pain, and nightmares which may cause distress for some readers. I love the bit of mystery woven into the storyline- wondering if there is something more to the whole situation, some plotting and hidden agendas, or whether it’s all just coincidental. By the end of book one, the suspense was killing me- but only proceeded to ramp up a few notches in book two. I had a few minor issues as there were a few errors, especially in book two, where there were wrong words, or missing words- and a few other inconsistencies… but they didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the story. I really enjoyed this duet, it was a wonderful mixture of passion, romance, danger and suspense. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Quinn does next!

The Season Finale (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 6) by Heather Silvio. This is the final installment in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series. I have loved this series and hate to see it end. Its the story of Elizabeth “Liz” Addison who is investigating the supernatural story of a lifetime. Undercover is the second book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series, and romantic suspense that I could NOT put down. Via Mari again gave us another book for us readers to get lost in. Marenah is the granddaughter of the head of the Russian Mafia but keeps apart of herself hidden from her family. Matt, who is a guard for two of the world’s richest man, He must get in with the mob to protect someone, and he does not think he would meet someone like Marenah. She makes him feel things that he never has before. When Matt finally finds out just who she is, can he overcome this and learn to deal with the life she leads? The author gave us such a steamy read, that the attraction between the two main characters truly set the pages on fire and add in the drama and mafia, this is a perfect read. Suspense, love, and lust really make this book. I give this book five stars and highly recommend this!!!

I have really fallen in love with the Paranormal Talent Agency Book series. Heather Silvio has really made reading these stories a lot of fun. Her characters were fully developed and connectable. The stories are fast reads. There is something for everyone in the books. She also keeps you turning the pages because you just never know what is coming next. This story is no different. The last book is no different. The Agency is called into action one last time. The characters are a were-panther, ghost, and Liz to bring the supernatural world through one last adventure.
Thank you Heather Silvio I cannot wait to see what is next.

A quick and satirical read that that was full of humor. The story flows well from beginning to end and it kept me intrigued and humored.
OF WAR AND TATERS is one of those books that I want to write a flowing and detailed summary, but I don’t want to recap the entire story. Trust me when I say it is super funny and worth the read. As someone who works in the newspaper industry, this line tickled my funny bone… “There was a sickness that afflicted some newspaper readers that forced them to read it from cover to cover aloud to anyone who might be in the room.”
There is also an interesting point of view shared in the story. Ok, I’m stopping now because I don’t want to say more.

Anytime I see this author has a book, its an immediate one-click for me. This is book 2 but its not needed to read book 1, but you’re going to want to after you finish this one. She’s just that good! I’m loving this new series, and seeing previous characters from other series is always fun too. This follows Matt and Marenah, and the secrets in this book left me gripping my kindle for what was to come. I love the mix of action and steamy scenes. Must must read.

Legacy of Luck is another wonderful read and addition to the Druid’s Brooch series by Christy Nicholas. I am always completely captivated by this author’s books, her attention to detail when telling the stories means that I can always easily envisage what I am reading. Her world building is excellent. The story is a slow build which I really liked, I really liked and connected with the characters – I especially liked Eammon, I thought that he was a great character. I definitely found myself rooting for him and Katie; there was this real and genuine connection and attraction between them both. The author put a lot of emotion into the story and it worked well against the suspense of what was going to happen. Legacy of Luck was a really great read, although part of a series it could be read perfectly well as a standalone. I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

I’ve read a few of the Druid’s Brooch books and one or two others that had to do with Travelers. I was very excited to read this because I find their culture very interesting and it always adds a bit of dramatic and romantic flair to any story. This particular book was a pretty easy read with a few twists and I definitely think that while a lot of the Druid’s Brooch books are heavily fantasy based, this one has the most realism in terms of where the plot ends up and what happens to and between the different characters. I really enjoyed that. Katie is by far my favorite character and I got a bit of a shock near the end that I will not spoil.
