Broken Pieces by Judith B. Pinkard is a biographical story. This story tells a tale of love, broken pieces, and piecing the pieces back together. The story had me on a roller coaster of emotions. The story is raw at points and tender at others. I am glad that Judith Pinkard put her story out there for everyone. There are inspiration and faith she has put out there for the masses. The story had me thankful for my family and loved ones. I am so glad I had the opportunity to come across this book and read this story.

A Person Could Disappear Here By Terri George ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a novel loaded with suspense and mystery. This is not a romance, while some would think so.
Abbey has been chatting with someone she met online. After awhile she decides to take a leap and meet him. So she travels abroad to meet Jensen. Jensen is not who she thought him to be. But that is only a small part of what you will find in this story. No Spoilers Here.
Terri George has written one of the most suspenseful stories I have read in awhile. She starts this story right in the beginning. Fast paced and terrifying at the same time. Her female characters are strong and determined. All I can really say…. Is not all things are as they appear. Not all people are as they appear. This novel will not disappoint! Job well done Terri George! I look forward to reading more from this author.

Man with the Mafia by Debra J. Falasco is the second book in the Man With series. Deirdre is starting over in a new city. The last thing on her mind is looking for a romantic relationship when she meets Vincent. The two are amazing together but Vincent knows something that could break them apart. Will the two be able to fight through these issues? This is a good read that kept me wanting to read more. I enjoyed the characters and the story. The secondary characters are good also and make me want to read more from the series. I also liked that Deirdre is a strong character and wants to be an independent woman. Vincent means well but has a past of his own. I like that they have flaws and are not perfect people.

My jaw is unhinged. I’m stunned into silence. This story will move you in so many ways. Judy’s life is beautiful and tragic. I could not think of what I would have done in her shoes. She was a child with adult responsibilities. Helena must have been in so much pain. To know that she wasn’t there for her daughter. As a mother we pride ourselves on raising our children and being there for their needs. So it’s hard to believe Helen didn’t die in that accident. Or maybe she did and what was left couldn’t get it all worked out. I hurt for Helen and Judy. For the time they lost together and the times they were together. Mental health is something that we need to start taking more serious.

Secure Desire: A Chase Group Story by R. L. Dunn was an action packed, suspenseful read, that kept me reading.
Alright heres the tea, I did very much enjoy this read. I like these types of books, even if I am picky with being in the military and all. I could tell that the author did very good research, but my main concern was that there were a lot of on going sub-plots, that for me, took away from the main story and MC’s.
I like when there are sub-plots, and other things going on in a multi-layered story. But sometimes there is such a thing is too much, and this book was, for me, too much. So many characters to keep track of, to many different story lines to sift through, and at one point I had to reread a section because I thought I’d missed something important. I think the author tried to get too much down, and had a slew of good ideas that maybe, they didn’t want to leave out. As good as this book is, I believe another edit is needed to make the main plot more clear, and to cut down on the voices and sub-plots. In truth, some of them could be expanded on and used as say, a novella.
Overall as I have said, this read is intriguing, action packed and complex. It will hold your attention and keep you flipping the pages. So please take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will get hooked on this heart rushing read.

I am so stinking happy this book was everything I had wanted it to be and then some! I have not had the pleasure of reading anything written by Belinda Williams prior to Wild Heart, but I can for sure attest to the fact she will be on my radar from now on. I can’t wait to go back and see what I have been missing and find out if they are anything like Wild Heart.
Wild Heart is the fourth book in Ms. Williams Hollywood Hearts series, I know that it can be read as a standalone since I obviously did so however, I would have started with book one if I had the chance to do things over. In truth I will probably start with book one and read through and reread this one as well.
Faith and Cole were just too dang fun to read. I couldn’t ever have too much of these two. The realness with which Belinda Williams spins into her characters is astounding and truly makes reading her story an adventure. I’m not going to dive into all the details for those you will have to read this gem for yourself. You won’t be disappointed you did!

Well, I read this book from start to finish with no breaks, sorry kids lol. I loved that instead of hopping back in time for a whole chapter, we got flashbacks at a time. It helped show the demons Hawk was fighting currently. I was always intrigued by Hawk, and so glad we got his story! It was heartbreaking but he is who is because of his past. Stella, oh my heart broke for her with her loyalty to her family and the hurt she was going through. This story had me captivated and i had to know what was next. Hopefully we get Keegan’s story next? He’s a mystery to me.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up Man With the Mafia. I honestly was drawn in by the cover and the a few teasers that I had seen so I went in blind. I haven’t Read anything by Debra J. Falasco prior to this but I am now a new fan for sure! With all that said, I was also unaware that this was the second book in her Man With Series, although it didn’t affect my ability to enjoy the book I still will be going back to read the first before I move on with book three.
While we do get the goodies that come with any great Mafia centric story we also get much more with Man With the Mafia which really is what sets this one aside from the others. Deidre and Vincent were so much fun to read, and hot too! The pages kept me engrossed from the very beginning until the last page when I was so sad to have to put it down. You truly don’t want to miss this one! I can’t wait to see what else Debra J. Falasco has in store for her readers!

When she finds this little Italian part of the city she falls in love and finds a apartment and an Italian restaurant that is amazing. While she’s in that restaurant one day she see Vincent Mancetti a handsome, Italian American man with all the sexiness she can only imagine in her novels. Vincent is a very successful attorney who has it all together and tries to take care of his old neighborhood. He doesn’t have time for relationships but when he sees Deidre he has to have her. Some of Vincent’s family is in charge of the mafia and Vincent has tried very hard to steer clear of that path. When he and Deidre finally get together he realizes she’s not just a one night stand and when her past mixes with what he’s involved in now will they make it thru because Deidre is all about trust. I really love stumbling upon books that end up taking your breath away completely unexpectedly. Broken Pieces by Judith B. Pinkard was truly one of the most breathtaking reads I have had the pleasure of devouring this year. I was hesitant to pick it up because I have a super long TBR list and with biographical novels I tend to push them to the back of the slate for the more traditional love story or thriller. I am so happy that I didn’t wait, this is one I will have on my shelves at home and reread many times over. I think this will be one I will share with my daughter as well.
“Choices. Life is all about choices. Some are other people’s and some yours, but a choice is always involved. The wrong choice can change the course of your life forever Like tornadoes, the wrong choice may occur unexpectedly and be devastating.”
This quote truly rung true with me and struck a chord. We have all been there, maybe we haven’t all experienced the major life destroying ones yet, but at some point in time we will all be in a moment where either your choice or someone else’s is the catalyst of how the rest of your future will look from that choice on. Broken Pieces really tells the story of the author’s journey from the life altering choice to where she is today. I found myself experiencing the array of emotions while reading and one even being tears streaming down my face, so I would recommend a box of tissues too. I truly hope this is the beginning of many amazing novels to come from Judith B. Pinkard.

Broken Pieces by Judith B. Pinkard was based on true events.I found it to be very interesting and very sad. It really made me think about how any one decision could affect my whole life.This family went through a lot. The accident that her family survived not only caused physical damage but psychological damage as well. Her mother’s mental illness although stigmatized heavily during that time should not have been frowned upon and more help should have been made available. This really makes me feel lucky for living in a time where people are more aware and more help is offered. I can only think what a strong amazing woman Judith grew up to be. Luckily she ended up with a great support system with her Aunt and Uncle. This is a book about faith and hope.I enjoyed it a lot. And am grateful for Judith sharing her story. 4 star rating.

Wild Heart by Belinda Williams is the fourth book in the Hollywood Hearts series. This book can be read as a stand-alone and does not need to be read in order. I have to say that for me this is one book that I definitely “judged by it’s cover”. Or more accurately it’s genre. I tend to expect anything centred around Hollywood to be lighthearted, not much too then, easy to read. No depth essentially. However that could not be further from the truth with this book! The characters were so engaging. It isn’t often I find a book with older characters to be well written and believable and yet the author has captured these two effortlessly. It wasn’t made to feel overdone or like they were trying to hard, it just worked. The story was interesting as well. It wasn’t your typical celebrity style romance; this was full of action and was gripping. Overall this was a very good book and one I enjoyed much more than I expected. You should definitely give this book a try.

Wild Heart (Hollywood Hearts Book 4) by Belinda Williams is a second chance romance story that has a little mystery and a lot of heartache. It is an engaging read and the characters are wonderful and our MC is very complex. The story is an interesting and captivating read and the characters flow through from the previous books in this series. Faith is on strong and resilient woman who hides her true self and she had my heart aching for her and you can’t help but fall in love with her, even at the times I wanted to shake her. She is a Hollywood actress who has proven herself time and again but is worried age maybe her downfall. She never lets anyone get too close and loves and leaves them. Deciding she needs a break from it all leads her to the one place she felt at home but it also brings the past back into her life, one she will have to face in more than one way.

I did NOT see that coming! A Person Could Disappear Here is the first book I have read by Terri George, and it left me blown away. I will offer a trigger warning, as it is a story of a woman who is kidnapped, and kept locked up and sexually abused. The story alternates views between Abbey, who is the prisoner, and her best friend Cristina, who is on a mission to rescue her. Abbey and Cristina are like sisters, and live together in London. Abbey has an online relationship with a man, Jensen, and decides to fly to Denver to meet him in person. He seems amazing at first, until he takes her to his grandfather’s house in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska. He takes her phone, and her falling off the grid is what raises alarm in Cristina. She decides to travel to the US with her brother, in search of Abbey. The story has a lot of suspense and I didn’t want to put it down. The ending is not what I expected, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. However, I highly recommend it. It was well written and heartfelt. The characters and their relationships are wonderful. Cant wait to discover more by Terri George.

Rafferty (Default Distraction Book 2) by A.S. Roberts is book about lost love and second chances. Rafferty walked away from Lauren when he entered the music world to follow his dreams. Default Distraction has made it big and Rafferty still longs for Lauren and she will always be who he longs for. When fate brings Lauren and him together, he vows that this time he is not letting her go. Lauren lost a part of her heart the day Rafferty walked away from her. It took her a long time to rebuild her life again and now he’s back and wants her. And right now, she’s not sure she can open her life and heart again. These two characters quickly dragged me into their world and I could not put this book down. I wanted these two to find happiness in each other so badly, as every emotion that they felt I could feel, I felt the pain, the happiness, and felt the confusion of Lauren. This book is a MUST read!!

A Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George is a kidnapping thriller I could NOT put down. This book held me from page one and until the final page, I read this in two sittings because I HAD to know what happened. Abbey meets a guy online and after coming to meet him, she finds HE is NOT the fun loving and romantic man she thought he would be. She finds herself kidnapped and being held in a small town in Nebraska. She knows her changed of breaking out are slim, so he holds onto the hope someone will come looking for her. When Abbey doesn’t make her flight back home, her friend and roommate knows that something is wrong and goes to search for her. Terri George really gave us a raw and emotional read with amazing twists and turns. There were a few parts that I found hard to read but also make this book more powerful. I highly recommend this five star read!!!

This was a very good find. I really like reading new authors. This book was a very refreshing read. I don’t normally read this type of book but I really found that it drew me in and kept my full attention.
I really liked the fact that this book was biographical. The way that the author brings her own story to life really draws the reader in. The way that her life was shaped by all that happened to her as she grew up. I found myself feeling the same heart wrenching feelings she did as her childhood unfolded and her life played out. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would definitely like to read more from this author in the future.

Past Storm and Fire by Christy Nicholas 4 Stars!!!!
This is once again a great read. I have read other books by this author and I was not let down. I found that she has a unique way of bringing her characters to life and drawing the reader in. I really found this book to be refreshing.
I love the way that the main character Val is both a part of the present world and the past. I really got into how the past life she experienced comes to her as a book idea. I love how she is drawn to the past through her work in the future. The way that the book draws the reader in just had me glued to the pages. I really enjoyed how she gets to tie all the characters in her book to the past and gets a new beginning for her in the present. I really liked the chemistry between her and Havaldr. I definitely will be reading more from this author in the future.

One thing I like about the Dark Water Security Series by Madison Quinn is that you do not need to read the other books to be able to follow along. Garrett, the second book in the series holds true to that statement. Madison Quinn is a contemporary romance author who does not focus on the romance part of the story, do not get me wrong romance is there but there is a story around the romance. Garrett and Hope had one night together and he did not think he would see Hope again. Well the new job has Garrett sharing living space with Hope again. Garrett needs to do security for a guy which is getting intense. Garrett vows to protect his client and Hope but Hope is hiding something from Garrett. What will the outcome of Garrett and Hope’s relationship be? Will Hope tell Garrett what she is hiding from him?

This is a story based on true events. It shows how one decision can change the course of your life. Helen and Ernest were newlyweds that had recently become parents. On the way home from the hospital, during a storm, they had an accident. All the occupants of the car were severely injured, except baby Judy. Everyone called Judy, the miracle baby.
Accidents cause not only physical damage but emotional and psychological damage as well. Helen was the most severely injured and her psychological scars ran deep. Judy’s life started out perfect, growing up with two loving parents but Helen’s broken pieces never quite mended. This took a toll on her marriage and eventually it crumbled. Judy’s life spiralled down from that point on but luckily she never lacked love. She was forced to grow up fast because of her circumstances. My heart hurt for that little girl.

The story Secure Desire: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn is a thrilling book that I loved reading. It is a story that had me turning pages on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Ian and Cassie. Cassie is an art historian and FBI agent. She is independent, stubborn, and strong. If asked Cassie says that she is broken. Ian does not agree. Ian is a man that is at the top of a private security company. He job is security and his background as a Navy SEAL serves his well. There is one person who has him feeling a deep attraction, Cassie. There is a connection and chemistry between them. Tragedy strikes and Ian must use all his skills to both protect Cassie and learn the secret that she hides, one that could cost her life. Will Ian be able to keep Cassie safe? Will Cassie be able to trust Ian? What does the future hold for Ian and Cassie? Read this book to find out. This is a rollercoaster ride of a tale. The story is detailed and I felt like I was right there with the characters seeing and experiencing what they did. It has a large cast of additional characters which are introduced. Many of them are helpful and friendly to Cassie and Ian. Then there are those with their own agenda and will spare no resources to get it done. Will they succeed? I enjoyed the romance that goes on between Ian and Cassie. They are characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. I enjoyed reading about how they interact. I thought this book was pretty creepy. This should be used as a cautionary tale of the world we live in today. The scenes were so vivid that at times I smelled the alcohol wafting in the air and I felt my stomach turning in fear of what would happen next. Though at times the language was different than what I am used to, I had no problem being enthralled by this fast paced thriller that kept me up way into the night. If you want a good thrill, then this is definitely for you.

Past Storm and Fire By: Christy Nicholas 5 out of 5 stars
The story Past Storm and Fire by Christy Nicholas is a wonderful book to read. It drew me in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the character of Val. She is a woman who is responsible. Her life is not going the way that she had hoped and is inspired to writing a romance novel set in Iceland. The novel opens up a world which she can escape to. What will happen when the lines between her writing and her real life begin to cross? What does the future hold for Val? Read this book to find out. I also loved reading about the character of Vigdis that Val creates. She is a hard-worker, independent, and strong. I liked that so much detail is given to the story. I felt like I was right there with the characters. This is also a book that is emotional and mine went up and down. I grew to care about Val and Vigdis with each chapter that I read. Don’t miss out on a journey that had me thinking about it even after I had finished the book. Recommended reading.

When I first read the blurb for this book it sounded like a book I would really enjoy, I love a Navy SEAL story, there is just something about these characters and overall I enjoyed what I read. I will say that it is a book that is quite complex in its storyline so I wouldn’t say it was an easy read, I did have to re-read the beginning so I could fully understand what was going on but once I settled into the story it picked up in my opinion. There were quite a few things going on so I think you have to be prepared to be able to concentrate on what you are reading, it isn’t a book you can easily dip in and out of. The characters were good, they were well thought out and planned and the authors writing was pretty detailed, there was a good mystery running through the story which definitely had me keep turning the pages to find out what was going to happen. I don’t think there was as much romance in the story as I anticipated but it was definitely a good mystery! I would like to read more from this author again in the future.

I enjoyed this second chance romance. It pulled me in from the first word and kept me engaged until the end. Faith and Cole fell in love when they were teenagers but parted ways. What will happen when they reconnect at her grandmother’s ranch? Secrets have a way of changing things will it shape their future or will fate allow them to have a happy ever after? They are great characters that have chemistry when they weren’t fighting their attraction. I highly recommend this book.

It is a well written, enjoyable story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters are strong, they bring an emotional roller coaster ride as well as a story that comes alive. Chase returns home from a nasty tour to take over his brother’s security business. It has been six years since Cassie has seen him but a chance run in with him brings back memories. Will these two get a second chance or will secrets tear them apart one more time? I highly recommend this book.

Garrett by Madison Quinn was a phenomenal read from start to finish! It’s the 2nd book in the Dark Water Security Series, a series I would recommend reading in order for proper storyline introduction.
Garrett’s story was so well written with so many details the storyline flowed so well. There was just enough going on that I was highly entertained the whole way through. I loved being able to follow Hope as she discovers how to live a great life after trauma. The two of them together were perfection and I hope to read more about them in the future!
I would recommend this book and series to anyone looking for their next read!

I found this book enjoyable and hard to put down as it also made me feel as if I was part of the story. It is well written and the author’s attention to detail especially the historical parts are great. Val’s life seems to be falling apart between the damage from the hurricane to her husband’s deceit. Inspired, she finds herself writing a novel based in Iceland. What will happen when her present and past collide? Strong characters that are connectable. I highly recommend this book

A Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George is a one of a kind read. This gripping storyline had me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole way through. This storyline had me speechless from the journal entries with hard to read details and the dual POV which added an extra layer of depth and to the shocking ending. The ending completely took me by surprise which made me love this story even more.
This was my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
