This book picks up where book three left off, highly recommend reading all books first. This this installment the killer has decided to claim his Queen, Amelia, or will he? I had a hard time putting this book done, it so full of twists and turns and edge sitting on the edge of your seat action. The characters are strong, creative and kept the story engaging. Amelia has been my favorite from the beginning and the emotional ride she took me on. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this second chance romance. Not only are the characters looking a second chance love but also finding strength to move on and heal. This book started out emotional and throughout the story. Bijou and Noah are great characters plus they both have painful pasts and are in need of healing. She is trying to keep a dream alive and he just wants to heal. Will they heal each other? Their story is easy flowing and engaging from cover to cover. I highly recommend this book.

Claimed Royalty by Betty Shreffler is the first book in the Crowned and Claimed series. This book is fast paced and intense and will have you hooked from start to finish. This is an author I normally enjoy and this book did not disappoint. You are drawn to the main characters and their journey, it feels like you go on it with them. Their was a depth and complexity to everything about this book. As the first book in the series this is a brilliant way to start it. I really cannot wait to see what else is to come.
The story Fortitude by Carrie Dalby is a coming of age book that I loved reading. It is a story that takes you to a time when the societal boundaries are strict and when friendship or love that break the rules can cause scandal. One of the reasons that I found myself loving this book is the character of Claire O’Farrell. She is a young woman who is smart, independent, and strong. She is not one to conform or be told who she should care about. This story tells of her going to serve as a nurse for the Buffalo Soldiers. Her journey has her helping soldiers in need to recover from their injuries. She is a kind and compassionate person. She soon finds herself in danger and caught up in the racial violence that is all around her. The consequences of her decisions follow her home. Read this book for her full story. This is a book that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. There are moments that are heartbreaking, sad, and others that made me angry with the treatment many of the characters received. There are also moments that warmed my heart. This is a story that is thought-provoking. There is intense and emotional dialogue. It is a book that I couldn’t get out of my mind even after I had finished it. There are many characters that are introduced and interact with Claire. They range from those who appreciate her hard work and those who strongly disagree with her and her actions. This is a book that pulls you in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the end. I would highly recommend reading it.

Tales of the Dragonfly Book III: Extended Flight is apart of Tales of the Dragonfly series by Tamara Ferguson. Being that this is the third book, it is a stand-alone book. Tamara Ferguson is an awesome story teller. When I read her books, I feel that she engages me as a reader. She wants you to love her characters and to take the journey as she has laid out for them. This story is about wounded warrior named Aaron and his sister who is missing. The story takes place in New York City. There is a bit of suspense with Kiley who has abilities she is hesitant to tell others about. There are two mysteries happening in the story and both are equally engaging. The Case of Missing Books is the sixth novel in the Summer McCloud series by Nikki Broadwell. This is my third novel by this author.
The title definitely caught my attention as I love reading. And I haven’t read any mysteries involving books. It made me wonder what the books were.
Summer McCloud is having hard time juggling so many things at once. Not only does her husband bring up the thought of a baby, a supernatural being in taking all of Summer’s clients. Also, she has a mystery to solve involving missing books. What do this books contain and why would someone steal them?
While this is the sixth novel in this series, this is my first novel in the series I have read. I didn’t feel very confused but I was interested in starting over from the beginning.
I recommend this to anyway looking for a paranormal mystery to read. I felt it was a great addition to the story.

“Happily. Ever After?” is the sixth book in the Italian Saga by GB Amman. Leda is an intelligent young woman with high academic aspirations. She tries so hard to juggle her interests in life, volleyball, friends, her band, schoolwork and Sergio. As with any driven student, school is her priority and Sergio just doesn’t understand. They love each other, but is it enough? Leda seems to question her relationship with Sergio every step of the way, and my heart ached for the poor girl. She goes through so much in this book, with so many changes and issues that pop up, it’s a wonder how she keeps it all together! I don’t want to give away details, but this book was beautiful in its description of the places Leda goes, but hard to read with what she goes through. However, Leda is resilient and tougher than she seems to some and she proves it in this book! Relationships are messy and “Happily. Ever After?” shows that. Age of Saints was an excellent read, full of action and with great characters. I was hooked from the very beginning. The author’s writing was engaging and full of wonderful descriptive language. The flow and pace of the story were great. I really enjoyed the storyline and it kept my interest throughout – I found myself to having to keep the pages turning so that I could find out what was going to happen with Conall. I did feel sorry for him, everything he seemed to do just went wrong. I really enjoyed reading about him. Age of Saints is a richly detailed fantasy story that I would absolutely recommend! I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

I really like this author and have read many books by her so I was really looking forward to reading this new one from her and again it was a really enjoyable read. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first read the title and blurb which was great, I love going into a book not knowing what is going to happen. There were some good twists in the story and my attention was definitely captured from the beginning. I really liked the main character, Vee. She had had a touch start in life but I admired her strength and her tenacity in going after what she wants. The Woman America Loves a Latte was a great read one that I really enjoyed! I look forward to reading more from Holly Tierney-Bedord again in the future.

Little Do You Know (Bayou Devils MC Book 5) by A.M. Myers is another fantastic addition to this already great series and is one of my favourite MC series. I absolutely loved the previous books, and was waiting with baited breath for this book. As usual A.M. gave me everything and more. I never have to second guess if I will like the story because I know I will be in safe hands. You really should read the books in order as the characters all crossover and they are all lovable and I adore them all. The family bond, the love they have for each other means they will stop at nothing to have each others back and then some. I love the alpha men and the women they love so fiercely. The camaraderie, the banter and wit make me laugh out loud but my heartaches with all that they go through during the bad and my heart melts when they go through the good. This story is soooo emotional that it had me sobbing and on the edge of my seat at all our main characters Noah and Kady had to go through. A.M once again shows her talent in being able to write something that evokes so much emotions. Trust me you will not be disappointed when you read one of her books. She is a must on any book listing.

This was a crazy story. I honestly wasn’t expecting it. The author surprised me with the direction this story went. Ginny is crazy but not. She has so many people doubting and finger pointing at her. Kieran had so much patience and love for Ginny. He took his time and didn’t force her. The author did really well developing the characters. The all had their flaws but showed their strengths as well. Liked the relationship dynamics. The bonds and looks without words. Ok, I was so confused reading the beginning of this story. I couldn’t tell who was who. The name Eleanor should never be used so many times. I did like Ella though. She was so young and grew up fast. She took on responsibilities that even adults don’t want. Being a parent is hard because you have someone’s life in your hands. You never know if your doing the right thing. Thomas was an idiot but a thoughtful one. Age definitely should be a factor in relationships but not when you’re already an adult. The author had a great sense of humor and gave you the perfect but not perfect family. She gave us a picture of what helping the people you love should be like. Overall it was confusing and entertaining to read this story.

This is an anthology that includes the paranormal and romance. I read stories that have adventure, danger, and action. There is plenty of steam that will make the temperature in the room rise. I love reading anthologies as I am introduced to different writing styles and new authors. The stories I read include magic and all sorts of paranormal creatures. There are also stories that are thrilling and had me turning pages to find out what happens next. I enjoyed reading about the characters and there were scenes that will make you swoon. One of the stories that I really enjoyed is Flirty Dancing. I found my emotions going up and down when reading. It had touching moments and also times when I was smiling and laughing. The story has characters that are likable and a storyline that is entertaining. This is an anthology that you don’t want to miss out on.

Hazed, book one in the Hazed series is written by Brittany Butler. It is a young adult romance that deal with a few issues which is more suited to a mature audience. I was taken in by this story from the beginning. Taylor’s character intrigued me, but Hayze captivated me. I wanted to solve the mystery that was him. The author was brilliant at spinning his story, keeping me on the knife’s edge. He was an enigma that had me very intrigued.
Taylor and Hayze were a puzzle desperately begging to solved. I loved everything about this story. The good, the bad, and the mystifying. There were ups downs and everything in between. Having not read this author’s work before, I went in not knowing what to expect. A joyful thrill was what it was. It was also emotional and gripping. Hazed is a 5 star story that will stun and dazzle. And leave you gasping for more.

Brilliantly written! Claimed Royalty is book 1 in the Crowned and Claimed Series by Betty Shreffler. This story follows Princess Fiora weeks before she is crowned Queen of the Anauka Territory. In these following weeks she is to perform her trials or her tasks to prove herself suitable as queen. During these trials she will spend time with different suitors and by the crowning she will choose one has her King. Although, there is one who she is not allowed to choose but he is the only one she wants. Will she be able to remain pure for crowning or will she give up her purity for this man? Fiora’s character is elegance at its best and what you would believe a princess to be. Strong, Fierce, Beautiful and mostly Graceful is how if feel that Fiora’s character is portrayed and it is amazing to see it unfold. I really did love the way that this author constructed this book and how her words sucked me right in. The whole story ebbed and flowed seamlessly. I cannot wait for the next book!

If the Shoe Fits… (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 3) By Bea Stevens. Just like the rest of the series I really enjoyed this book. I had times where I laughed out loud and times when I was enjoying the mystery in the story. Libby is a character that just keeps giving, I just love her character. While this could be read as a standalone I recommend this series in order just because you’ll love it all. It’s well written and paced nicely with characters you love. A few twists and turns that kept me on my toes. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone.

5 Star Blade’s Edge :Satan’s Devils MC #10 By Manda Mellett is the tenth book in the Satan’s Devil MC Series and my favorite one so far. Of course I love me a good MC Series and this series is on my list of favorites. I had a hard time putting this down once I started reading. I was sucked into there world and literally got lost in the pages I must say if you haven’t read the other books in this series I highly recommend you do. Blade is the enforcer for the Satan’s Devils, he has an issue with trusting women and authority. Tash is a strong, independent women, but she has trust issues the only person she can trust is herself. Then she meets Blade. There is no denying the attraction between these two. Blade finds himself being protective of her. Can these two have a future together? Find out what happens next I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Luke by Kimberly Lewis, narrarated by Tiffany Williams is book 3 in The McKades of Texas series. The characters were fun and light hearted and I really enjoyed the relationship build up. The story line was fun and sweet and just enough suspense of what was going to happen next kept me on the edge of my seat. I’m very particular about audible narrarators, but I really liked her. I will definitely read other books by this author. This is a newer author for me, and I’m really enjoying this series. I give this book a solid 5 stars.

The Devil’s Shadow (Wild Beasts #4) by T. Birmingham was a unique, dark, suspenseful read, that had me flipping the pages.
Not my first read by this author, but it is my first read for this series, and for this authors paranormal books. I didn’t know what to expect, but man oh man, I will tell you that, no one will know what to expect. This book is fresh, original and downright epic. Also from what I have gathered in this book, it reads like a standalone, but I did at times not get past references, so I suggest reading the first three books. Something that I will be definitely doing.
This story is more then multi layered, it’s hard core complex, engaging and has this dark mystery, that overlaps an endearing love story. This is all piled on top of just as complex, well rounded, 3D characters, that make you feel like you’ve known them all your life, but still can’t figure them out. They pull you in, mess with your heart, then just before crushing it, smile like a long lost friend. Like wow, I don’t think I have read such a book, that has cause such a intense reaction before.
To tell the truth I can go on and on, but I’m going to leave you here, with my spoiler free super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. I promise you will not be disappointed in this hidden gem of a book.

LITTLE DO YOU KNOW is the 5th book in the Bayou Devils MC Club Series. I’ve enjoyed each installment of this MC series and was looking to finding out more about Henn. As with all of the other books, we also get to revisit previous characters and get to catch up with them now.
There certainly have been some changes in the 7 years that Noah has been gone. That’s all I will say about the storyline.
As with the other books in this series, this is a complex tale that is not all as it seems. The twisty turns along the way keep the story moving at a really good pace. Characters are consistent with their personalities and everyone has a role to play.
At times, I did skim because I had to know what was going to happen and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I really enjoy the way the author writes.
If you asked which of the books in this series my favorite is, I’m not sure I could give you an answer. While I liked parts of each more than I liked parts of others – as a whole it’s a very satisfying read.
I would absolutely recommend this author, this book and this series.

BACK IN THE RING is the 4th book in The Predator Series. I have not read the previous stories in the series and had no problem understanding who was who.
This was an easy read that flowed well from beginning to end. Characters are quickly developed and you know the motivation of each as they are introduced. Having never been in the situation that the h is in, I found it frustrating that she was trying to keep a business that was constantly “fundraising” yet never getting ahead. I would hope that a confidant would have advised her well before year 8 to succeed or get out.
The story is well plotted and the kids in the story play an integral role and keep the lightness of the story moving. The daughter’s “tween” attacks had me cringing, but I was able to identify so much. hahaha There are lessons in this book that aren’t obvious or preachy, but show how growing and moving forward doesn’t mean you don’t have a past.
I have note in the beginning of the book the “everyone should have a friend like Mara” but at times I found her to be over the top annoying. I suppose that’s what most quirky best friends are like, right?

Age of Saints (Druid’s Brooch Series) By Christy Nicholas 4 Stars!!!!
I once again found myself in the world of the druids. This is the seventh book in the series but the second book I have read in this series. Even with that in hand I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The author has such a unique world that has been created that one finds themselves plunged straight in. The setting is just as Christianity is coming into the scene and is starting to take over from Paganism.
I really found that I was routing for Conall from the beginning. The author really has a refreshing style that brings the characters to life. I felt as though I really was in Ireland and that I was there with them. The author’s unique way of writing helped bring the magic to life as well as the characters. I could feel the anguish as Conall strives to keep his promise to keep his sister safe and the sacrifices he makes. I was on bated breath to see the decision he had to make. I cannot wait to read more from this author and catch up on the rest of this series.

This is a story that includes witchcraft, ghosts and hidden tunnels. The female main character is Summer. She has special “powers”. She is able to see ghosts and has visions of the past. Her new husband, Jerry, seems a little skeptical of her abilities. Which causes me to be skeptical of him.
This is not my first book by Broadwell and not the first book in this series. I had been told that it could be read as a stand-alone but I disagree. I felt like I was missing something. The connection to the characters felt forced and that may be due to their back story that I should have read about in the previous book(s). I mean really this IS book 6…With all that into consideration this story was still easy to read. There are a few eccentric characters in this story, which makes for a fun read as well.
I look forward to reading the other books in this series. I recommend you take a chance on this author but start with the first book in this series, Murder in Plain Sight.

Yearning Young by Deidre Huesmann is the second book in the Burning Britely series. This is a series that I would recommend reading in order as it follows the story of the same two characters throughout. Everything about this book is as raw and emotional as the first. I loved how this time we got to see things from Braeden’s point of view. I loved it when it was Jeff but there is something about Braeden that just really resonated with me. It was so easy to become so invested in him as a character. He was genuinely likeable. The story was fantastic as well. It was a brilliant continuation from where book 1 left off. The author pulls you straight back in their world and I couldn’t put this book down at all. I would highly recommend this whole series.

I have to say that this second book was really quite the follow up. I like the opportunity to see how Connor dealt with the grief of losing his mom. This book also gave us an oppertunity to see into the lives of a few others in the community. The author really did a fine job of tying in all the characters.
I can’t help but feel like this was a window in a way into my own grief that I still feel. I really can relate to Connor. The flash backs really helped to add to the book. I also was very intrigued to learn more about Dottie and her daughter Alana. I was so glad they were able to look past their differences. I like the cliff hanger as to Connor and Mary Ann. The author has a great way of grabbing the reader from the beginning and keeping you glued to the pages wanting more. I look forward to reading more from this author in future.

Brittney Butler is a new author for me, not knowing what to expect I went in expecting good things due to brilliant synopsis that was written, what I wasn’t expected was how brilliant and utterly captivating this story was.
This book did have some darkness due to some real raw parts of the storyline, but this author wrote them perfectly. They felt real, believable, raw and honest. This book brought a rollercoaster full of emotions for myself as the reader and also the characters Taylor and Hayze. This plot line really draws you in from the start, and I didn’t want to put it down till the end! Even with intense connection Taylor & Hayze have from the beginning you couldn’t help but hope they could sort out whatever could possibly be happening and keeping them from getting their HEA.
This is a brilliant read from start to finish that shouldn’t be missed! I can’t wait to see what else comes to this series, and what else Brittney Butler can do!

I am guilty of judging a book by its cover and I will freely admit I did just that with this book. I thought it was going to be light and breezy and it was, but I was also pleasantly surprised at the wonderfully deep story that unfolded before me. This is a tale of the supernatural unlike any I have read before with characters that swept me away and a story that kept me flipping the pages. I thought the beautiful mix of the fantastical and the reality of everyday struggles made this story seem so real to me. So much so that I could imagine this happening today in some small town. This is the sixth book in the Summer McCloud series, I have not read the others yet, but I plan to rectify that very soon.

The Case of Missing Books (Summer McCloud paranormal mystery book 6) by Nikki Broadwell is a four star read.
This is the first book I’ve read by Nikki Broadwell, and although this is book 6, it can be read as a standalone and to be honest I didn’t feel as though I’ve missed anything important, in fact it has made me want to read the other books in the series. Nikki has created such a wonderful creative story, and has some unexpected and twisted turns and I loved it.
