Not my first read from this author, so I knew going in I was in for something interesting, unique and well written. I was not disappointed. This book wasn’t like anything I have read before, and frankly I’m a little wordless in regards of what to write, to structured this review.
My head is all messy, and my heart a little crushed, yet full. This book was written in gray. There was no clear good or evil, making this sci-fi fantasy have an alarming realistic quality, it reflected how the world actually works, making is otherworldly read, relatable and connecting. The attention to detail was outstanding, and you can feel the passion that Gaia brings in mixing her bio background with her fresh original writing abilities. All of this is brought to life by well crafted multi layered characters, and an equally complex and engrossing plot.
This book is high quality and worth your time, energy, and money. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will get lost and absorbed in this gem of a read.

Captivated by the Millionaire by Nina Singh. This story is a slow build of the relationship between Jess and Jordan. The first two meetings they have are rude, brutally honest and funny. But living in a small town has it’s bad moments when it comes to trying to avoid someone, it’s almost impossible not to run into them. Especially when his sister goes to the center where Jess volunteers. As their relationship grows from strangers to where they can tolerate each other you get a nice mix of he needs slapped with laughing and thinking I can’t believe he/she said that. Overall I enjoyed the story and characters.

Captivated By The Millionaire by Nina Singh is a contemporary romance with an engaging storyline and amazing chemistry. It is a tale that will warm your heart and is as beautiful as it is compelling. Nina writes characters that makes them feel so real and you will fall in love with them. The plot is simplistic yet the complexity of the emotions involved show the real and true multiple layers our characters. It is a quick and easy read that is both heartwarming and heartfelt.and these adorable characters drew me into their wonderful journey, which is both believable and realistic. I enjoyed the story so much that before I knew it I was turning the last page. The story is told in dual POV’s which I love and especially with these characters that I fell in love with. This wonderful story that should be on your to read list.

5 star Dig Two Graves ( The Detective Solomon Gray Series By Keith Nixon is a story that grabs your attention from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough I had to know what happens next. Detective Solomon Gray is a haunted man he lost his son when he was six years old.He feels guilt because he was there and couldn’t stop it. The uncertainty of not knowing if his child is dead or just missing wears on hi,so he doesn’t always make the best choices.The twists and turns had me gripping my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Who is responsible for the Homicides? I highly recommend reading this book especially if you want to know what happens next I look forward to reading more from this Author and this series.

Captivated by the Millionaire: Mills and Boon True Love by Nina Singh is a very sweet romance, with angst, push/pull, and a sprinkle of drama. The story is clean (with closed door intimate scenes, and has a theme around loss, rejection, major changes, obstacles, forgiveness, redemption, and finding love when and where you least expect it. Jessalyn Raffi has felt the sting of rejection and isn’t too keen on experiencing it again. She’s a gifted artist who lives and works on Martha’s Vineyard. She loves her job at the Vineyard Vines Children’s Centre where she teaches painting and helps co-ordinate other programs. She’s free-spirited, genuine, kind and compassionate. Jordan Paydan lives an organised and structured life. He’s a multi-millionaire Venture Capitalist who had a great life in New York City. But his life turned upside down when he unexpectedly became guardian for his six year old sister, Sonya. His world was turned upside down in an instant- life would never be the same. He wasn’t cut out to raise a child, something he was only too aware of. He would never let himself forget. Sonya and work were his only priorities. Relationships were definitely not for him. First of all, he didn’t have time, and secondly, he didn’t put a lot of faith in women and relationships- he’d seen first hand how hurtful they can be. So, imagine his surprise when he walks into his new home after a long drive, to find a stranger painting a mural he never asked for, on a wall in one of the bedrooms. She quickly leaves after an awkward and rude encounter with him. But he can’t stop thinking about her. After another disastrous encounter, they just can’t seem to stay away. Not the best first impressions that’s for sure, but because of Sonya, and their intense attraction, they decide to play nice. She feels he’s out of her league anyway and doesn’t want to get hurt again. And he has his issues with relationships, and really doesn’t want any more complications. Will they finally see what’s right in front of them? Will he finally ‘let her in’? Will they take a chance on love, or will they both let their fear of being hurt drive a wedge between them? There is quite a bit of push/pull happening in the story that drove me crazy at times. There were a lot of misunderstandings, miscommunications, and misinterpretations which added to the angst and drama. The author has a free-flowing and descriptive style- and writes beautifully. I just wish the story wasn’t quite so sweet and predictable. A minor point that really doesn’t detract from the story but made me take notice- was the cover of the book. Although attractive, I felt that the cover model didn’t fit the description of Jordan in the story- as the model very definitely has chocolate/dark brown hair- but, in the story Jordan is described as having sandy blonde hair that’s just dark enough to not be a true blonde. It confused me, I guess? This is my first read by Ms. Singh and I would definitely like to explore more of her work.

Seraphina’s Vengeance is the third book in the Seraphina series by Sheena Hutchinson. The author has really upped the ante with this instalment. It is full of action and excitement. The story is a fast paced and enthralling. I do recommend reading the first two books before starting this one, as this isn’t a standalone, there is a bridging story that continues with each new instalment. You will need all the information from those books in order to follow and enjoy this story to the fullest extent. As we discovered so far, Seraphina (Sera) has been thrust into a world of Angels and Demons, where good vs evil- she has made some startling discoveries, not only about herself and all that she is capable of- but also of the ‘world’. We learn all this along with her- how she has come to this point, why she is the way she is- and learning all about her powers, and trying to come to terms with everything in the process. A year has passed since Sera’s transformation, and a year since the clash with the demons. It may seem quiet, all too quiet, but Sera has a feeling that is all about to change. She is proven right, when her best friend goes missing. Amanda’s Disappearance wreaks havoc with Sera’s feelings. All she can think about is vengeance. Hate and anger consume her- and darkness begins to take hold. This puts a strain on her relationship with Nick, as she pushes him away. But along the way she loses herself, decisions are made, and leads to a major error in judgement. What will happen? Will she come to her senses? Can she ‘undo’ the damage caused? I really loved how much Sera (and Nate) developed as characters, not just in this book, but through the series. The world building and paranormal/fantasy elements in the story were masterful. This is definitely my favourite of the series, so far. I am looking forward to the next story, where I think Sera is set to face the ultimate test- “Seraphina’s Revolution” (Book #4) coming soon! Can’t wait!

If the Shoe Fits is the third book in the Liberty Lawrence series by Bea Stevens. I have been really enjoying this his charming, light-hearted and fun series- the stories are always interesting and engaging. There is always a little mystery, suspense, a splash of drama, and some adventure to be had within the pages. I love Liberty, She’s a fashionista, with a passion for shoes. adores shoes!! Liberty is definitely a little clumsy- but also fun, and a little off-beat. This makes her very endearing and entirely relatable. Each book in the series follows her ‘latest’ his series escapade- with entertaining results. Libby lands a new job in the fashion section of the “Woman Matters” supplement in the Chronicle. It comes as a step up, but she soon finds that it’s not everything she’d anticipated, especially when her new boss is quite horrible. Libby starts looking into a new clothing line, and its ‘designer’- and that’s when things start to get interesting. Things are not what they seem, add in an attempted kidnapping, police investigation, sinister agendas, and a big dose of danger- and we have the recipe for a captivating read! I hope we get more of Liberty real soon!

This is a good story! I loved that Jess was an artist so that makes her a more open person and colorful. In contrast Jordan is all dark, bland and closed off. That’s why there are fireworks on the first couple meetings. So so different. But sometimes those two contrasts can compliment each other.
This is my first book by this author. To be honest i don’t usually read about millionaires /billionaires (they always want to buy everything) but i picked this up and I really enjoyed the story. It was different having a small child involved that was not a son/daughter. She is so sweet! The characters were interesting and I can not even imagine either of there childhoods. I really enjoyed the interaction between the two main characters. There was so much push and pull. As I get further in the book I can see why each of them feel that way. I loved that Jess was so talented. Again I can’t even imagine that talent. Jordan is actually a nice guy and I love what he does in the Epilogue. Did i laugh or cry while reading this? No but i did LOVE that first HUG between them! This is a story of strength, love, that pesky guilt..Oh and yummy ice cream!!

This is a sci-fi romance with a twist of politics story that was enjoyable. This book is a little different then my normal read. I found it to be creative and engaging. The characters are well thought out, interactive and real. They bring the story to life along with their superhero roles and their twists and turns kept me turning pages. They bring emotions of hate, love and even some understanding to a world of fantasy. What happens when you fall for the enemy? I recommend this book.

It will show you how strong fate is and getting its own way. This story is creative, engaging and I had a hard time putting it down. Jess loves her life in the Vineyard and Jordan is a CEO, opposite of Jess. Neither one feel they are ready for a relationship but will one little girl bring more to their lives then what they realize? They are great characters with strong chemistry. Its like opposite attract but they are able to find one common ground, I loved them. I highly recommend this book.

This story is full of action and emotional. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions that just kept going. It is a creative, engaging, page turner. Conall made a promise to his father that he will always take care of his sister. But when everything he does seems wrong and all of his decisions don’t seem right. Now he needs to save his sister but it could cost him his life. They are great characters that I loved and felt compassion for. You won’t regret picking this book, highly recommend.

When I started reading this story, I found both the title and the description a bit mysterious. What I found is a science fiction book that is interesting and intriguing. I found myself not able to put it down once I began. I also started asking myself if I would make the same choices as the characters. It includes issues that are thought-provoking. It was enjoyable to read and I found myself glued to the pages until I had read the final one. I enjoyed reading about Naira. She is a character that is passionate about what she believes. I found that she is a complex character who has inner conflict. She is also stubborn. There are many other characters that you read about and interact with Naira. There is sarcasm as well as bantering back and forth between them. There were actions taken by some that made me angry and others that had me mystified. Many of the additional characters also have an inner conflict just as Naira does. The story also has times when there is romance. There is intense dialogue included. Don’t miss out on a wonderfully written story that I found entertaining. I would recommend reading it.

The story Captivated by the Millionaire by Nina Singh is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It had me hooked from the very beginning and not wanting to put it down until I read the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Jess and Jordan. Jess is an artist. She is talented, independent, and beautiful. She is caring and compassionate. She is taken by surprise at the attraction that she feels when she meets Jordan. Jordan is a successful businessman. He is a man that believes that right now he has priorities other than being in a relationship. He is trying to understand why he is so attracted to Jess. The attraction that these two have for each other has them distracted. She feels that she is getting mixed signals from him. He can’t stay away from her. Will these two admit their feelings for each other? What part will fate and an adorable little girl play in this story? What does the future hold for Jess and Jordan? Read this book to find out. Both Jess and Jordan are characters that I grew to care about and found myself wanting them to be happy. The story has moments that had me feeling sad and others that warmed my heart. There is inner conflict felt. My emotions went up and down the entire time that I was reading this book. There were also a few other additional characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about them and their interactions with Jess and Jordan. This is a story that will pull at your heartstrings. It is a book that I highly recommend reading.

Omg wow what an ending to an incredible series i have loved every second of their journey! She done it again and knocked it out of the park with an emotional storyline filled with many twists and turns to keep you on your toes and of cause steamy hot under the collar sex scenes that keeps you captivated from start to finish. I have highly enjoyed this series it’s became one of my favourites and will absolutely have to re-read all over again!

WTF, God? Was written by Michelle N. Onuorah. When there is a book with a spiritual feel to it, I generally do not want to read it. I will admit that this book was interesting. It is Onuorah’s journey with her spiritual life and how she responds to it. There are ten lessons that Onuorah has learned about God and his role in her life. If you need a spiritual uplifting this story is for you.

The Devil’s Shadow is an interesting story by T. Birmingham. Even though this book is the fourth book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone book. It has mystery, darkness, paranormal and some romance. This story is about Ginny and Kieran who are destined to be fated mates. They have some obstacles thrown in their path, as well as adventure. I found myself falling in love with Ginny and Kieran. I went on the roller coaster ride of emotions with them. I feel connected to Ginney like we were best friends. I feel bad like I have let her down because I wasn’t there when she needed me to be. These are the stories I love. It is easy to read a book and just read it, but it is the stories that I feel like I am in the story with the character that keeps me reading. I cannot wait to see whose story will be coming next.

A great read about dancing. Fiona Madsen has always loved to dance, but has been held back by everyone opinions since she was seven. When her boss tries to get her and co-worker Stu on a dieting course, they both think it is a waste of time. When they are forced to do quilting as a hobby, Stu finds an alternative they might love; a dance competition in town. What follows is a wonderful adventure about doing what you love and following your dream. Can Fiona dance without worrying about what others think? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Fiona standing up for herself but still struggling with insecurities or Stu as a funny friend who is supportive and kind underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the optimistic Diane or the bright and bubbly Lizzie. Fiona’s love of dancing was beautifully written as something that makes your heart fly forever and always. Her struggles with her weight and comfort eating were emotive and relatable and perfectly written. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like in the vivid colours like with Stu’s colourful scarves and umbrellas bight and bold against the plain walls of the office and coffee shop contrasting beautifully to put a smile on your face. Or the dance rooms later on filled with life and people and music with piles of colourful costumes everywhere for that true feel to a dance stage performance. Overall, a wonderful read and I would give it five stars.

I have enjoyed every book from the Satan’s Devil’s Mc series but this has to be one of my favourites! Once again i was pulled into this captivating story which also felt like while i was reading it i was right there along side the character’s. I didn’t think i would like Blade at first but once you start learning more about him and he opens up well it changed my mind automatically. This was once again a phenomenal novel with a in depth storyline my eye’s wouldn’t wander from the pages!!

How does this series just keep getting better and better? Every book is unique in its own way and this one was no different. We meet a couple new characters in this one, and I for one, hope to be seeing more of Tommy in books to come. I have a special needs son and I was so happy with the way they treated him, despite a few description words but hey they’re rough bikers who don’t mince words so I got why they were put there and didn’t take away from the story. We finally get to be in Blade’s head, which from what i’ve read of him before I wanted to know more. From a life of loss and a view of women that makes sense to him, make it hard for him to trust Tash. Tash was great, she didn’t back down and despite her circumstances, had a great head on her shoulders and was a great partner for Blade.
I can’t wait for what’s next and with the way this ended, im torn between guessing who is next, but i know it’ll be another amazing story with these guys!

Burning Britely is the first part in a wonderful young adult coming-of-age series by Deidre Huesmann. It’s different from most other YA coming-of-age stories in that the main character Jeff Young is bisexual and the object of his desires in this book is male. I absolutely adored Jeff. He’s the exact opposite of most leading males in a book. He’s short, skinny, grumpy and very nerdy. He’s very much a loner, with only Maya as a friend, and has been the subject of much bullying in his past. The object of Jeff’s desires is Braeden Britely, a character who could not be any different from Jeff. Braeden is the tall, muscular, sporty star of the school track team…and very straight. The growing friendship between Jeff and Braeden is a fantastic read. Jeff’s struggle with his feelings towards Braeden is a compelling read. This book has so much angst, heartbreak and emotion, you won’t want to put it down. It’s a fantastic read and I can’t wait to read the 2nd book Yearning Young.

Coming Home: The Sequel to Flowers in December By Jane Suen
Coming home is the heart-warming sequel to Flowers in December, Now I wouldn’t read Coming Home until you have read Flowers in December or you probably won’t be able to follow the sequel and you will miss out on loads of information. Some of the characters from Flower in December are also in Coming Home. Just like the first book this one is also a short read, but you will not want for anything story wise. This book has multiple points of views which to me makes the storyline even better. If you are looking for a new author, I really do recommend you pick up Jane’s books you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Jane, for yet another heart wrenching story I LOVED Flowers in December and Coming Home equally.

Happily Ever After?: An Italian Relationship is book six in the Italian Saga series by Gaia B. Amman. I read the first book in this series, but have skipped to the sixth one. Oh well, it states that it is a self standing book, so here goes. Slowly paced, this story was a great read, and ticked all the boxes for a quality, easy to read story.
Leda and Sergio like each other. Leda and sergio kissed. Leda and Sergio gives readers an entertaining, honest and full of ups and downs. A very realistic look at young love and all the problems young couples face and how they deal with the drama. These characters were easy to like, easy to relate to, easy to enjoy. Laughter, attraction, love is all set out, pretty and sweet, in the beautiful Italy, where romance is plentiful, and drama is endless. 4 stars.

Yearning Young is the second book in the Burning Britely series by Deidre Huesmann. As with the first book, this is a great YA/coming of age story, full of self-discovery and realization, some angst, drama, friendship, expectations, emotions, dysfunctional family dynamics, and self-acceptance. The book is an emotive, quick and easy read. It has a great pace and a smooth flow. The story and characters were interesting and quite relatable. And, like the first story, I loved the strong character development and growth that occurred over the course of the story/series. The characters were fully realised, and the story had a depth that packed quite a bit of intensity at times. We have met these characters in the first book, and while book one was from Jeff’s perspective, this one gives us Braeden’s POV. I do recommend reading this book, especially to those who love a great YA novel that has depth, emotion, and wonderful characters grappling with ‘life’, right on the cusp of adulthood.

This relatable tale about relationships and life and love held my interest from page one. Overall I found this installment in the series to be well developed, relatable, witty, and emotional. Amman builds a beautiful world with characters I related to and became deeply invested in. It stands on its own easily and remains a valuable addition to the series. Really enjoyed it.

Dig Two Graves (a Solomon Gray Novel, Book 1) Keith Nixon 4 out of 5 stars
I’m a sucker for a good thriller so I was really excited to find a new to me author that not only promises to deliver a thrilling story, but introduces me to a new series as well. The synopsis of Dig Two Graves had my curiosity immediately, the story itself took a bit for me to warm up to. When all is said and done, I feel like Keith Nixon did a fantastic job with crafting an exciting storyline with really strong, complex characters. Keith Nixon was able to present a plot with several dark issues without overdoing it in a fast paced, entertaining manner. This is an author I really am looking forward to reading more of, I will continue on with this series!

The Chosen in the first book in The Orb Quest Series by Cari Schaeffer. It is a great YA fantasy full of adventure, magic, action, danger, secrets, discoveries, and fun. It has a (teenage) “Relic Hunters” x “The Librarians” x “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” feel to the story. As I have come to expect from Ms. Schaeffer, she created a vivid, detailed and descriptive story, with wonderful scenes and backdrops to her captivating story. The characters were somewhat quirky and interesting and really drew me into the story. This is a very quick and easy read- but, personally, I would have love to have read a longer, more in-depth version of the story- so I could really explore and get ‘lost’ in it. If you love YA fantasy and adventure, grab yourself a copy and join Gemma and her friends in a race against time- as there is a lot at stake in this quest for the Orbs. Can’t wait for more!

This paranormal mystery – what an unexpected triumph! Broadwell does a beautiful job weaving this tale and sharing it with the reader. It is a worthwhile read, detailed and realistic. I was immediately pulled into pages and submerged myself in every scene. I loved this book and am finding myself becoming quite a big fan of Broadwell. Definitely recommended!

I feel like all of my reviews on Jane Suen’s writing are always the same. Jane Suen is a captivating storyteller with a voice that is soft and almost poetic to me. There has never been a piece of writing that I’ve read by this author and didn’t love, despite them all being so different. Until reading Coming Home, I thought Flowers in December was my favorite. This book exceeded all of my expectations! I loved being reunited with characters from the first book and seeing where life has taken Connor and Tom! 5 Star Rebel Heart : Book 2 of the Immortal Kindred Series by Clara Winters is the second Book in the Immortal Kindred Series.Although this could be read as a standalone I do however recommend reading the first book in this series. I found myself sucked intthis book from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down till I finished. Annie is a smart independent woman who is a spy.She meets Captain Thayer Emmerich and finds herself unable to forget about him.Annie is drawn to him .He is a German soldier,.Thayer can tell she’s different than the others. Can these two get their HEA? I recommend reading this book if you want to find out what happens next.

If The Shoe Fits, book three in the Liberty Lawrence Series by Bea Stevens. Another great story with Libby getting pulled into another mystery. But will this be the one time they can’t figure it out…. With help from her best friend and boyfriend can Libby figure out what’s going on before its too late.. Libby is her normal funny, fashionista self with a new dream job, too bad she’s not sure what to make of her boss who, at first, seems to be horrible. This story like the others in the series will pull you in right away with the well written characters and story line.
