Surviving Grace by Virginia Wine is the fifth book in the Surviving series. This book cannot be read as a stand-alone, it does need to be read in order. This novella is the last one in the series and what a way to end. I absolutely loved the poetry in the book and the emotional depth that it brought to the whole story. You were instantly immersed in the characters and their story. Grace is one of those characters you are just drawn to. I wanted to read more about her and I wanted her to find her way. This has been such a great series overall. I have enjoyed every moment, this book being no exception. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone.

Stepping It Up is book two in the Liberty Lawrence series by Bea Stevens. Even though this is the first book I have read by this author, and I have missed book one, I have read nothing but good feedback on this series, and knew I would enjoy it regardless of what order I read the books.
Libby is a reporter with a sassy, quirky outlook on life. She feels a bit isolated in her new job, and is having trouble connecting with colleagues and superiors. This story shines a light on so many dilemmas, starting a new job, trying to make a good impression on the bosses, finding love, and so much more. I had many moments of laughter, frustration on behalf of Libby, contentment, astonishment. I was constantly impressed, speechless and out of breath. Never did the author give me a moment without something dramatic to read. A never ending plethora of pleasure. 4 stars.

There be Demons Book 1 in the Andor Demon Wars Series is my first read from author M.K Theodoratus. This author has created a brilliantly fast paced, action packed read of the journey of four teens that discover and get out into a world where demons actually exist. These characters are individual, strong characters that are relatable and enjoyable and brings even more depth to this fantasy read.
This book was a mentally visual read that as I was reading along I could picture the whole story in my mind as if I was really there. I was left on the edge of my seat numerous times and kept turning the pages to find out more! It had a great mixture of magic, mystery, danger and so much more which made this a brilliant first read from this author.
After this read, I’m sure M.K Theodoratus will become a go to author. I can’t wait to see what else is to happen in this new series, and will look forward to more.

Surviving Grace is the 5th and final installment in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. This final installment is not a full length novel whereas the first 4 are. Also, whereas the first 4 books can be read as a stand-alone, you need to read the 4th book, Hard As Steel before reading this novella. As this is such a fantastic series, I would recommend reading all 5 books, preferably in order as characters reoccur in subsequent books. If you read them out of order there would be spoilers. We are first introduced to Grace in Hard As Steel (Steel and Nichole’s story), where she has been the victim of a sadistic abuser. Through therapy and her love of writing, Grace is slowly coming to terms with the years of abuse that she suffered. She is however still very mentally fragile. We are also introduced to Will in Hard as Steel. He is the vain, cocky, player, immature brother of Nichole. He is exactly the type of man who Grace should avoid, but as circumstances mean that she is living with Nichole and Will, she can hardly avoid him. However, as they spend more and more time together, Grace starts to see a different side of Will that no one has seen before. Deep down, he is a very caring, gentle man who will do anything to help Grace overcome the demons from her past. I also loved that we got to see a little insight into each of the couples from the previous books. What I didn’t like is that this series has come to an end. This series has had me gripped from the very beginning right through to the end. It is certainly a series that I will revisit and read again.

I just finished reading Caught in Make-Believe by Sharleen Scott (book 3 in the Caught series).
Samantha Dylan and Jace Colton have so much chemistry together, right from the start! It almost leaps out from the pages!
I previously read the first 2 books in this series and I loved both of them.
Here is something that I wrote in my review of the second book : “Although I was fully smitten and infatuated with Clay and Harlie – I have got to say that Tallie and Tom are now my new favorite couple (at least until the next book, haha).”
Well… Here I am, admitting that this third installment in this series has again, taken me to new heights!
Samantha and Jace have indeed become my new favorite – and this book had so many moments where I was trying to guess the end but I really didn’t see or anticipate where this book ended up taking me! What a wild ride!
Each book, was better than the last! How? I honestly don’t know as I thought the first 2 books were epic!

Seraphina’s Awakening is the first book in the Seraphina series by Sheena Hutchinson. I do not like to admit to this, but I read the second and third book in this series. Ms. Hutchinson did such amazing job in creating her characters. Seraphina stays true throughout the series. The story has mystery, fantasy, drama, and romance. Once I started to read the story, I fell in love with the scenery all over again. Seraphina is learning about herself. Seraphina has so much going on that she is trying to understand. Nathaniel is another character that will grab your attention. Overall, the story will grab you and take you away to Seraphina and Nathaniel’s world and you will not want to leave.

This is a sweet romance story about second chances and learning to start life over again. I enjoyed how the author made me feel part of the story. The characters are true to life and connectable. I could easily see them as friends. They took me on an emotional roller coaster that kept me turning pages and hoping they would find their HEA as well as healing. Natalie and John pulled at my heartstrings and made me smile at the same time. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book! This just might be my favorite yet in this series. We get to see Blade’s story and his past is heartbreaking but it also makes him the man he is today. He is a strong character and Tasha just makes him stronger. Tasha is running from her past and is in need of help when Blade finds her. Problem is Blade has trust issues, will he learn to trust her? Emotional ride and action filled story, you won’t regret picking it up. This is a must read, I couldn’t put it down.

The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery is a heartbreaking, heartwarming 4 star read. This novel hits home to how much family life changes when a tragic accident happens. This follows the lives of a family that lost a son, a brother and the difficulties the family encounter as time passes by. For Angelia losing her son was hard but what she gained, in the campaign for harder laws against gun control, can only be described as a miracle. Not going to spoil it by what that miracle is, turn those pages to find out. K.L. Montgomery has written a truly wonderful book here and it will bring a tear to your eyes, page turning and heart wrenching. Enjoy!

I love this series, actually I loved reading The Prestian Series then moving into this series, and I do recommend that, and I might have loved this one just a bit more if that is even possible.
I’m so sorry this is over, this could be my favorite book in all 6 and I think it is because the 4 people that star in all of them are right back in the spotlight and how this was done was simply amazing. This story was full of everything I love in my books, I went through every feeling and emotion while reading and can not wait to reread this whole 2 series collection.
Not going to go into any details because it could ruin something for someone that hasnt read any of them yet, just take my advice and read them all, you won’t be sorry and you will find yourself having another author that joins your list of favorites and an automatic one click.

Caught in Make Believe is the third book in the Caught series. It can be read as a standalone. If you want to get more background info on some of the characters mentioned, to bring things together for you a bit more, I recommend reading the first two books.
I really fell in love with this book. I think it actually might be my favorite out of the three that I’ve read. I loved the complexity of Jace’s character and the resilience of Sam’s character. The overall story line was well done. A little romance, a little suspense, a little mystery, a little adventure…makes for a great getaway from reality. I was so into it that I finished it in a day!

The one thing you dont do when you read any of this authors books is go in thinking you know how everything is going to go because she will show you the meaning of what a twist and a turn means and have you sitting there at the end going ..What just happened? She shows you that a twist doesn’t have to be explosive or a throw your kindle moment, she does it in a slow crawl where you have no idea it’s even happening.
I could not wait to get my hands on this story and that’s not surprising because this author has become an absolute one click for me, no thought goes in to my choosing its just see it, get excited, then it’s on my kindle.
I loved Flowers in December and at the end knew I needed more because something was happening and being implied and then it was done and my imagination took it from there. Many Thanks to Jane Suen for seeing this, and knowing that her readers needed more and then delivering.
So much was going on in this very short story but you never feel like anything was crammed in or get confused…She touched on many emotions and feelings and I’m just not going to give anything away so you will have to pick this story up, but please don’t start here, you must read Flowers in December first, this is where you will really get to know Connor Norton, and Tom.
Trust me…I’ve read every one of this authors books, she is a master with words and brilliant with putting them together to form what seems like simple stories that are so much more complex than they seem, I would love to sit and talk to her for a day I have a feeling I would come away rethinking many things.

The Devil’s Shadow is another fantastic 5 star read in the Wild Beasts series! I really am thoroughly enjoying this series and I absolutely loved this book! The author’s writing is so engaging that I find I am hooked from beginning to end. Again the story was deep and complex but such a fantastic read. I loved all of the characters but Ginny was just amazing! She has been through so much but had this amazing strength about her. I think Kieran stole my heart straight away; the way he was towards Ginny just melted my heart at times! The characters are really well thought out and I love their progression over the story. This book could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend all of the books in the series, they are great reads! I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series! I’m sure it is going to be a wonderful as this one!!
I’m so sad that this is the final book in this series; I have loved every single book that I have read. This final installment is so beautifully written and I was hanging on every word that I read. I was completely captivated by Grace’s story and after everything she has been through I was totally rooting for her. Grace and Will absolutely melted my heart and put it back together after everything that happened with Ethan! There really were some great twists in the story that I definitely didn’t see coming but made the story all the more exciting to read. If you have read any of the books in this series then I don’t think you will be disappointed with Surviving Grace – it was an emotional read that had me on one massive rollercoaster but in my opinion I think this is my favourite from the series! I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future!

Rebel Heart is the second book in The Immortal Kindred series and another great read! I really enjoyed the first book so was really looking forward to reading this one and I wasn’t disappointed! Again the author’s writing was exciting, entertaining and there were lots of twists and turns that kept my interest throughout. The first book concentrated on Millicent and in this book we get Annie’s story, who we did meet in book 1. I thought she was an intriguing character so I was really looking forward to finding out more about her. Through the author richly detailed writing and world building I felt like I really got to know and understand Annie’s character and I found that I was engrossed in her story. She was strong and independent and I loved the connection that she had with Captain Thayer! There was a definite attraction between them! A great read and I can’t wait to read more from this author again in the future!

Black Bullet is the second book in The Order of the Senary series by L.D. Rose. This is a wonderfully original (dark) paranormal romance with plenty of action, drama, violence, danger, and adventure. The world building in this story is first-rate! This was a really well written, multi-layered plot that kept me completely engrossed from start to finish. We met Jonathan Kerr, who is a vampire, in the first book- but get to know him really well in this book. He’s a unique, interesting, confused, and tortured soul. Lawan Knight is a hybrid who had been held and tortured by vampires and was traumatized by the experience. So, what happens when these two tortured and haunted souls’ cross paths? You really should read all the intriguing details for yourself! You don’t need to have read the first book in the series before starting this one, but I really recommend that you do because the first book gives so much back story and character introductions- with which would enhance your reading experience of this book. I really felt for Jon and Lawan, and what they’d been through- their burden of pain was palpable. A fantastic addition to the series, and my favourite, so far!

Sera is at a point we all wish to be at. We want to realize our greatness and use it to its full potential. We want to discover every unique aspect of ourselves. I felt a connection with Sera because she didn’t know her worth but has come to know and love herself. Nate has given up so much for Sera and has asked nothing of her. I love that he has kept his faith even though he has fallen. I think we are all meant for greatness but in different ways. The author has done a great job pulling these characters together. The story is unique and well written.

Eight Steps by Taylor Sullivan was a sweet romance where main characters Elliot and Fe form a plan to help Elliot become an Alpha Male and catch the eye of his gorgeous boss, Mary. They didn’t expect to fall for each other in the process and to discover so many different secrets in the process. I loved how nerdy the two were and how they also embraced learning new things to help Elliot become alpha. Elliot cleaned up well and the hot hunk underneath came out. At times I wanted to beat Fe with a stick for some of her decisions but it definitely made for a good story.

Right from the start I was pulled right in. Charlotte was in a living nightmare, she was sold by her mother’s boyfriend and was held captive by a local gang. What they would do to her was heartbreaking. Until one day she finds herself being taken to a home, where a woman has bought her, Mrs. Ames. There might be a girl of only fourteen standing before her, but that girl’s soul was dead.
At first she isn’t sure what to expect but she starts to let her guard down as she gets to know everyone. This is where she also meets Hawk, Mrs. Ames’s grandson.
Hawk sees it all the time, girls being saved by his grandmother. Using him to show them that not all men are bad. When he saw Charlotte the first time he was pulled in by her, she was different than the others. Hawk also has been deeply hurt, wondering why he was abandoned. Would my past strangle me and prove me damaged? – Hawk
Two souls desperate to trust, willing to fall, and hopelessly entwined by a string of fate.
These two end up developing a great connection. Hawk was so good to Charlotte. There is so much more to this great read. Your heart goes out to both of them and what they went through, these two were meant for each other in so many ways. Charlotte was a strong character. All of the secondary characters were great. I liked the ending but would love to see more from these two. I look forward to reading more from Kylie, she pulls you right in with her writing.

Little Do You Know is Book 5 of the Bayou Devils MC. I have read every book prior and was so excited to get this! This is Noah, aka Hennessey and Kady’s story. Noah was incarcerated for 7 years, and this is the first time in all the books that we really get to know him. Prior to his incarceration, Noah and Kady were engaged and trying to start a family. As soon as he was arrested, she disappeared without a trace. As soon as he is released, he starts looking for her. Refusing to believe she left him, and also refusing to believe she is dead, he enlists the help of his “brothers”. When he finally finds her living in a cabin and she refuses to see him, he feels like something is amiss. Noah refuses to give up on them even though she has a boyfriend. He also refuses to believe she moved on. He has an eerie feeling something is wrong and borderline stalks her to figure it out.
Noah is a persistent, passionate, sweet man that worships the ground she walks on and Kady is strong willed, independent, timid survivor, which means I love this story!! There’s a bit of naughty language, some laughs, some suspense, definite twists, a whole lot of heart ache, steamy sex scenes, action and more!! This book is one of those books you DO NOT put down, so make sure you’re in your comfy seat, with little distractions and your beverage of choice before you get started! 5 out of 5 stars!!

Often times the second book of a trilogy is the weakest. A book that connects the first and third and is mainly filler. That is NOT the case with BOUND!!!!
This installment of the series moves very quickly and intensely. It is a mystery/suspense with a game of cat and mouse thrown in for good measure. Oh and consensual BDSM and exploring sexual appetites.
Told in a dual point of view, this story takes us on a rollercoaster of emotion and energy. There is so much I would like to say about the story, but I don’t want to give anything away.

This book has a lot of drama, mystery, comedy and a dash of romance. It tells the story of Annabel, who returns to her small town home of Jupiter, Florida after getting her heart broken in NYC. While at her best friend’s wedding, she finds her boyfriend cheating on her, and gets drunk with her best friend’s brother, and her high school crush Ethan. Flash forward months later, and they are both back home in Jupiter and turns out Ethan’s fiance was cheating on him as well. Maybe the time is finally right for them to act on their feelings they have been hiding for years. With the help of Ethan’s sister, and Annabel’s best friend, they go on their first date. On top of all of that, there is a lot of strange things happening, most involving Annabel and weddings. She buys a storage unit full of wedding gowns, rings, invitations and presents. With the help of Trouble, a cat, who is more like a detective, Annabel and Ethan try to solve the crime. This book was unlike any I’ve read before, but I loved it. It was so cleaver and not at all cheesy as I thought it would be. I will be reading others in the series to see what fun they have in store.

Black Bullet (The Order of the Senary #2) by L.D. Rose was an addicting, heart pounding read that had me hooked from start to finish.
Not my first read by this author or in this series. Though this book takes place in the same world as the first, it reads as a standalone. But I do suggest reading the first book as it will give you a better understanding of the world that L.D. Rose has created.
Like the first book, this opens on a not so pleasant note. Richly detailed and emotional, you’re sucked in and captured by the outstanding writing and the dark gruesome world. I can honestly say that once I started reading this book, I didn’t stop until the last word was read. It’s just one of those books that you can’t put down, because your mind is so fully absorbed that you need to know what’s going on at all times. It’s like you are a part of the story, an active participant, and it’s your constant reading that saves the day.
This book is well worth your time and energy. It’s not only engaging, but stimulating and entertaining. The plot is solid and the characters are multi layered and complex. Even though this book is about vampires and hybrids, you still connect to the MCs and the pain, suffering, and trials they have to overcome. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will not only be hooked, but obsessed.

While I commend those who do this, I could never be a storm chaser! I myself live in tornado alley but have thankfully never been in a tornado. I found myself reading so fast as I needed to know what happened next. Very fast paced and definitely wasnt expecting some things that happened.
Surviving Grace is the closing chapter or Virginia Wine’s Surviving series! What a journey it has been! She has taken us through ups and downs and with this last book she has given us a present that will haunt us for some time. Surviving Grace is Grace’s story; it is all about what she has endured, where she is at and what her path forward will be. She has to learn to deal with her emotions, she needs to face and confront her parents, she needs to survive loosing Elijah … It is also the beginning of Grace and Will’s story, the journey that their relationship takes … Grace will not only need to learn to trust, she needs to learn to survive and she will crush it all! What an amazing series it is, do yourself a favour and start with book one! I promise you will enjoy every single one of them! Cannot wait to see what the writer will surprise us next with!

Eight Steps: A Friends to Lovers Romance by Taylor Sullivan. This is the first book I’ve read by Taylor Sullivan but it will not be my last. It was such a fun story about Elliot Prescott and Fe Porto. They have been best friends for 5 years but Fe is just like one of the boys, nerdy and goofy. Elliot wants to know why he can’t find a girl so Fe sets out to help him. She thinks he needs to be just like the guys in her romance novels. She wants him to become an alpha male with tattoos, abs and sexiness. Elliot is not so sure and all the while this is going on they share a couple of kisses along the way and can’t stop thinking about each other. Will Elliot finally realize that what he wants is right in front of his eyes and can he convince Fe that she really does want a relationship. Read Eight Steps to find out!

This book is everything and more! I thought I would enjoy this read as everything else I have read by Betty Shreffler has been brilliant, but this book was everything and more! Claimed Royalty is Book 1 in the new series Crowned & Claimed.
This book was epic from the get go, with incredible characters that are strong, powerful & independent. This book was filled with passion, romance, sexiness. It had action, adventure and an ending that I definitely did not see coming. It was filled with twists and turns and had me on the edge of my seat through out the whole read. It definitely had a futuristic type of vibe to it yet an old historic underlying setting but I throughly enjoyed everything I read in this book, I was totally captivated and entranced by this read, for me I found this book a bit emotional, especially with the raw, real emotions that our main character Fiora felt and deals with through out this book. I loved the setting of this read, Betty Shreffler has made this book a mentally visual read that I couldn’t put down, I loved learning about Anauka and their people, the various other characters and especially Matheas.
I totally recommend this book, you will never be disappointed. I will most definitely be eagerly awaiting Book 2 of this series, to see where this story goes after the twists at the end!

Black Bullet is the second installment in L.D. Rose’s Order of the Senary series. This book can be read as a standalone, as it follows different characters from the first book, but the world building isn’t as strong as the first one. I recommend reading the first one to get a better sense of the world, and how it all came to be with leeches ruling over New York City. This book definitely started with a loud bang, and did not slow down for a second. I found the second book to be better than the first, in terms of Rose’s writing style growing and getting better and better. I found Lawan and Jon to be very interesting and realistic characters, that were written better than Blaze and Valerie from the first book. It’s amazing to see how much Rose’s writing improved between the first and second book, and how complex her characters are now. I loved all the books gory details, that for once weren’t left to the imagination. Rose weaves such a masterful story, that you can practically taste the blood yourself. I really really enjoyed this as a second installment and look forward to seeing how the series grows and develops. 4/5 stars
