Shattered love by Nivia Borell is the first book in the Forever Series. This book was intriguing from the moment I read the blurb and I found the story to be so detailed and complex that I was utterly drawn in.
This was one of those books that I felt my emotions were fully invested in what was happening. I laughed, I cried, I hoped right along with the characters.
I wasn’t expecting this book to end on a cliff hanger however I kind of like that it did. I like that we are clearly going to get more of these characters to read about. A very good start to a series.

“An Italian Adventure” is the first book in The Italian Saga by Gaia B. Amman where we meet young Leda, or Lee as her friends call her. Leda is a precocious tomboy who loves hanging out with her best friends, all boys, and reading. This story isn’t driven by a single event, but more the small changes that happen in life. It is a beautiful story of a young girl trying so very hard not to be treated like a young girl. She desperately wants to be one of the boys and demands the respect she has from her friends. Leda is a freaking cool kid and it was a pleasure to read the beginning of her story. I loved reading about the Italian countryside and its beautiful beaches. As the author said, you really can’t help but love this story, since it’s based off of a true story, and I fully agree. Leda’s family and friends jump to life off the pages and made me relate to her in a real way. I can’t wait to continue reading about Leda and her adventures! I give “An Italian Adventure” five stars!

Not So Broken is the first book in the Love Grows series by Renee Regent. I had never previously read any work by this author but the synopsis of this book lead me to believe that it would be exactly the type of book that I would love reading. It was so right. I loved this book. The 2 main characters are so broken and totally convinced that relationships are the last thing that they want. That is until they met each other.
After suffering a great tragedy in his life Gibson Colebank moves to the sleepy town of Tilly to get away from it all and start afresh. Sasha Rowan has always wanted one thing in life – a family. Imagine her devastation when her husband announces that he’s leaving her, for his pregnant girlfriend. When work takes Sasha to the sleepy town of Tilly, her and Gibson’s one night of passion changes both of their lives forever.
I absolutely adored both Gibson and Sasha. Gibson is a sweetheart but most of the time he just antagonises Sasha. Sasha is one major feisty lady. Her heart has been broken and she just doesn’t trust men, so continually takes things that Gibson says the wrong way, leading to a very angst filled story that will keep you gripped from beginning to end. I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be reading more from Renee Regent.

This novel gives great backstory to Ed Petrosky who is actually one of my favorite character in the other Ash Park novels. Meghan O’Flynn portrays him in his younger days in the novel and reveals to the reader events that greatly make his character unique in her other novels. I can’t believe all the heart ache he had to endure in this novel. My heart broke with this whole reading. The ending of this novel definitely surprised and shocked me. I also loved getting to know Linda’s character in this novel. It is an excellent addition to the Ash Park Series.

Beneath the Surface by Amy McKinley is a five-star read that you will get deep into. This is the third novel in the Gray Ghost series, and I have read the series and I have read them all in order and would say that is the best way to read it as you get the whole drama and the world. Hannah Miller is a character that will stay with you, her story is sublime, she has a strength that will astound you, and a softer side that will chill you. This story is so much more than you imagine, there is romance and drama and also some crazy ideas that will throw you about, spies and stolen ideas and twists galore will keep you hooked, add in some back and forth in time and this could get confusing but some how the author manages to keep it all together. This was by my account the best novel of the series, it just had an extra something that I enjoyed.

CAUGHT IN THE SPIN is the second book in the “Caught Series” and it can be read as a stand-alone.

This is a story about healing from the past both physically and emotionally and learning how strong one really is. Tallie and Tom have a “meet-cute” and we get to see their relationship develop over events that take place.

This was a well written story that I read in one sitting. I was at the 50% point before I even realized that I had stopped “adulting” for a little while. It has a very solid beginning, middle, and end and I appreciate the author’s story telling style. It isn’t dragged out or superfluous to increase a word count.

It was also nice to see the characters from the first book and catch up with them.

This is a series I will continue to read.

Eight Steps is a sweet story. There were times that I wanted to strangle both Elliot and Fe, but then that is part of life; we all make colossal relationship blunders at some point. Maybe I loved this story a bit more than most of the contemporary romance novels I’ve read because Elliot reminds me a lot of my husband, especially the whole glasses-to-contacts thing. That literally was the first thing that made me notice the man I eventually married.

I loved the way the characters were written overall, and the ease of the friendship that paved the way for romantic relationship potential. This book illustrates the need for clear communication when it comes to emotional involvement. It also illuminates the futility of mind games in relationships and trying to alter who a person is at a fundamental level.

Easy read. Entertaining. Delightfully humorous moments. And if you relate to characters empathetically, you’ll need some tissues toward the end.

As mentioned in the title – EIGHT STEPS: A FRIEND TO LOVERS ROMANCE, this is the story of a two besties/roomies who enter into an agreement to make the H into an alpha male to “get the girl of his dreams”. Elliot and Fe follow EIGHT STEPS to get him to be a man to be desired. This is a cute story that moves rather quickly as they only have four weeks to do this make-over. The good news is that Elliot was already halfway there because he is a “hot nerd” and not an “awkward nerd”. If there is a moral to this story it is DON’T IGNORE THE NERDS!!!! The geeky nerd you are scoffing at today is the hot dude you want tomorrow.

This is a cute and classic rom-com. The story flowed well and I feel it was written in a realistic (almost too realistic at times) style that was easy to read.

While I loved the premise of this book, I couldnt help but feel something was missing from the whole story for me. I love friends to lovers books and that was a huge draw in for me, it just fell short, to me.
I loved the friendship between these two, they had a great relationship but it just, in some spots, felt forced to be together.
Overall it was a good story, and I did get some laughs in as well.
Would read another book by this author.

Shattered by Via Mari is an incredible romance suspense read that I completely devoured! I was hooked from the start and I read it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop reading. This book is intense, captivating, surprising, detailed and action-packed. All the twist and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next.

This was my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last, I look forward to continuing this series, as well as, reading the Prestian series as some of the characters from that series make appearances in this one and their story had me really intrigued.

I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance read!

After reading the first in this series I was hooked enough to read the second and here I am, I again as I said in my first review am not a fan of this genre but the first one grabbed me enough that I had to read this one and follow Dahlia on her continued journey. I might have liked this one even more than the first and although Im still not sold on this genre I have become a fan of this author and how she weaves her words and tells a story.

There was a lot of action in this book, but I found it very easy to follow and did like Dahlia a whole lot more than I did in the first. I like that these characters are flawed and don’t pretend to be these perfect characters in a fairy tale and this is definitely not a fairy tale and it was full of twists and surprising turns that had me on the edge of my seat the whole way.

I highly recommend this author to everyone and this book as well as the first especially if this is a chosen genre of yours.

An Italian Adventure is the first book in Gaia B. Amman Italian Saga. The story is a beautiful coming of age tale, that deals with all the troubles of leaving childhood behind, and entering adolescents. Set in Italy in the 1980’s it follows tomboy Leda, who wants nothing more than to hang with two friends Peo and Flavio, climb trees and ride their bikes through the fields. Until the newest kid in town, and school bully Nico shows them a porno mag, right before their first communion. Thus starts the biggest change in Lee’s life and friendship, as she makes it through the good times and the bad.
I thought An Italian Adventure was incredibly well written, with magnificent characters that came to life on every page. It was nostalgic to read about the troubles of teen years, and to remember when times were much simpler. When my biggest troubles were eating my vegetables and dealing with a bedtime. This story made me nostalgic for my childhood, and all the days spent playing on a playground, or swimming in a pool till I was blue. I adored this memoir of sorts, and look forward to seeing where the story goes in the future. I gave An Italian Adventure 4/5 stars!

This is my second read by this author and in this case, the second time is the charm, I just finished my reread of this book. The first time I read it I had so much going on I could not give it the attention it deserved so had to give it another try. I had planned to give this book 4 stars after my first read through but after reading it again, laughing out loud more than once and sincerely enjoying the journey to an ending I had kind of figured out early on I had to give this book and this author 5 stars. Predictable early on yes, but predicting how they would get there..No and I so loved this story.

Elliot and Fe were a lot of fun and I loved their interaction and their friendship..I also totally enjoyed all of the other characters and how they were written in this story.

All in all I really and truthfully enjoyed reading this and I love the writing style, it makes for a really easy flowing read and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

I highly recommend this book and this author. I will be going back and looking at what else she has available and watching for whatever she has in store for the future.

A new favorite! This is such an enjoyable story. Elliott and Fe have been roomies for five years. They are both nerdy in their own way. Fe is a book worm. Elliott is a classic gamer. They work well together but Elliott has found a woman he is interested in. The problem is she doesn’t notice he is alive. Fe decided to help him and make him a man women can’t help but notice. These characters made me laugh more than once. Their antics and characterization were a delight to read. Fe is only trying to help but can she help him too much? When feelings get involved how much will things change?

Taylor Sullivan hit this book out of the park. I couldn’t stop reading so be prepared for a late night. I laughed and smirked generally had a good time with these two. If you enjoy romantic comedy with a little twist give this one a shot. Thoroughly enjoyable! I look forward to the next in the series!!

Both of these characters pulled at my heart strings and I imagined myself going through what they had gone through. I highly recommend this must read book. The story The Perfect Duchess (The Macalisters Book 2) by Erica Taylor is a historical romance book. This is a story that takes you back to a time when whispers and gossip rule the day. Situations can evolve into scandal no matter how innocent or untrue the rumors are. I found myself getting lost in this book and the time period that it is set in. I loved reading about the characters of Andrew Macalister and Lady Clara Masson. Andrew, who is also known as the Stone Duke of Bradstone, is a man that seems to be hard and cold. He does the duties and responsibilities that are expected of him. This does come at a cost to him personally. Lady Clara is a woman who others in society avoid and dismiss. When her life is threatened by her brother Andrew steps up to save her by proposing marriage. He wants to keep her safe and protected. How deep do his feelings for Clara run? Will Clara trust Andrew with her heart? What does the future hold for both Andrew and Clara? Read this book to find out. This story has romantic dialogue and some steamy scenes. There are also times when I wondered what was going to happen next. My emotions went up and down when reading this story. As the book progressed, I grew to care about both Andrew and Clara and wanted them to find happiness. There are additional characters that I enjoyed reading about. This is the second story in the series and I loved it just as much as the first one. I look forward to reading the next book.

Pandora’s Poison Hart and Cole book two by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. I really recommend that you read book one Climbing the Walls before you read this book. I enjoy reading books that contain POV and that’s what you will get with this book. The storyline In Pandoras Poison is just as good as Climbing the Walls. When reading this book, you very may well ask yourself how the relationship between Darren and Luisa work when their lives are complicated with lies and trust issues. Pandoras Poison may have you on somewhat of an emotional roller coaster. There is nothing to dislike about this book and I am pretty sure you are going to enjoy book 2 in this series.

The story Deepest Midnight: Book One of the Immortal Kindred Series by Clara Winter is a paranormal romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let go until I had read the final page. I loved the attention to detail that the story has and it felt like I was right there with the characters experiencing what they did. I loved reading about the character of Millicent. She is an immortal/vampire who still feels grief because of the past. She finds herself caught unaware when she finds herself looking into the eyes of a man who looks just like her long dead love. She meets him and finds out the man’s name is Jack. I could feel the desire and attraction between them. While they label what they are doing as having fun, it is not long before Millicent feels strong emotions for Jack. One of the issues she must face is Alexandre, Millicent’s maker and companion who is firmly against the relationship. What will Millicent do? Will she give in to Alexandre as he is the one that has protected and saved her in the past or will she go forward on a path of her own choosing, one that could lead her to happiness again? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. Millicent is a character that I grew to love with each chapter that I read and found myself wanting her to be happy. I found that the story flowed smoothly and enjoyed the transitioning from the modern day setting to the 18th century. My emotions went up and down with the characters throughout the entire book. Don’t miss out on a wonderful romance story that includes immortals/vampires and kept me mesmerized until the end. It is a book I would highly recommend reading. It is the first story in a series and I look forward to reading the next one.

Caught in the Spin is book two in the Caught series by Sharleen Scott. This author just keeps getting better and is a suspense romance genius.

Tallie has secrets. Tallie has an adorable son. Tallie is hiding from her murderous ex-husband. Tallie is terrified. Tallie is very attracted to Tom. Tallie just wants a happy, peaceful life. Tallie needs Tom.

Tom has made a bit of a mess of his life in the past, but has himself back on the straight and narrow. Tom lives day to day, full of regret and reflection. Tom meets Tallie. Tom is reserved and feels undeserving. Tom plays hard to get. Tom is blindsided by his past. Tom allows himself happiness.

Tom and Tallie make quite the attractive couple. Both has scars, both have commitments. Both need the other. Tom vows to keep Tallie and her son safe. Their feelings grow slowly, but intensely. Their passion limitless. Their personalities complimented each other brilliantly. The author could not have penned their connection any better. The wording was spectacular, the direction the story followed was awash with tension and uncertainty. A definite 5 star read.

I simply adored this book. I found the nerdy hunk to be adorable, extremely likeable, and charming. His best friend was relatable, quirky, and fun. Even though I found some of the plot to be predictable, it made it relatable and felt sincere. The dialogue was witty and the plot development was steady and enjoyable. I thought the author did a great job engaging the reader on fun romp. Loved it and cannot wait to read it again.

Erica Taylor continues to captivate me with her regency novels. Although period pieces, the characters continue to be relatable and complex. We find ourselves provided with an opportunity to read more about two of the characters we met in book one. But with the way the story unfolds this book can easily stand on its own and the reader not be at a disadvantage if doing so. Taylor has a keen ear to the authenticity for this time period and lends itself toward an Austen-esque style. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait to continue my journey with the Macalisters.

Speechless and emotionally drained. This book left me heart broken and crying tears of joy several times throughout. The author does an absolutely beautiful job weaving this story together with characters the reader becomes invested in. This page turner grabbed hold of me in the first chapter and didn’t loose its grip until the final sentence. It is jam packed with every possible emotion. So buckle up for quite the journey – it’s worth every tear you find spilling across your cheeks.

A Suitable Affair was a entertaining read. It made me want to be in that time. To do things deemed scandalous. Susanna us the type of girl I would’ve been in these times. To bend the rules to fit your will. To make them work for you. I love big family as I have one myself. The joy and craziness is addicting. There was so much pain and sadness from both Susanna and Ian. I really liked the whole espionage but not espionage thing Ian had going on. I liked that Susanna knew what she wanted and didn’t stop herself from going for it saying forget the rules. I don’t like the times because women weren’t seen as people but property. The mother’s only looking to marry their young girls to rich titles. The author made the story light by adding the humor. Ian was perfect because he was serious but also knew how to laugh.

Less You Know: gripping suspense (Ashes to Ashes Book 2) by Rowena Holloway ​is the second book in the series and you really need to read Bad Things Happen, the first book in the series as it lays the groundwork for this book. Less You Know is a psychological thriller that is dangerous, full of secrets and suspense and is full of many twists and turns that you don’t know what is going to happen, even when you think you do. Rowena’s skillful writing takes you on a gripping journey where you don’t know who is who and what is what.

Charlotte Ashe once again finds herself in the thick of things when her friend is missing. Investigating is in her blood but at what cost. The closer she gets, the more she finds out and the more danger she is in, shows just how much she doesn’t know who her friend is and the many secrets she holds.

Eight Steps to Alpha (Nerdy by Nature #1) by​ Taylor Sullivan is an easy fun, sweet, sexy story that is entertaining from start to finish. It is a friends to lovers story that will have you laughing along the way at their banter and friendship. Taylor has written characters that are charming and funny, quirky and witty, lovable and sexy whilst a little nerdy on the side. It is a highly entertaining journey on the road to change, discovery and love.

Elliot is tired of being the average guy. A guy that a certain type of woman would not look twice at. And certainly not the woman he has his eye on. He wants to know what type of guys woman notice, so he enlists the help of his best friend and roomie to help him. But what if what he wants has been right in front of him all along?

Fe decides she knows just what her bestie and roommate needs to get his ideal woman but somewhere along the way the lines become blurred. Somewhere along the way a kiss means more than it should. But letting him go is the right thing, isn’t it?

It is heartwarming is a wonderfully written story that I highly recommend reading.

A Talent for Trouble by Landra Graf is the first book in the Bad Boys of Space series. This is set in a space science fiction setting but has a gangster feel to it with some romance and intrigue. The main character Emilio is a drug runner and a lady’s man. He is trying to work himself up to the big time. Antonia is trying to get back her bootlegging ship so that she can work for herself and not have to rely on a man.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this up but was intrigued by the title and cover. I was not disappointed. This was a fun read and I enjoyed the story. The characters were different and it took me time to decide how I felt about them. My opinions changed as I was reading. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction is the second book in the Nite Fire series by C.L. Schneider. This series should be read in order because there was so much background information that the story will be better understood. Plus the first book was wonderful and you wouldn’t want to miss out. The story continues with Dahlia Nite and Alex Creed investigating a mysterious illness plaguing the city. This story if full of action and suspense and will leave you on the edge of your seat as they try to solve the mystery. The characters are very well developed and the story flows well. I highly recommend this book series and author, especially if you love paranormal.
