Surviving the Storm is book two in the Surviving Series by Virginia Wine. I just adored this story as it spoke to me in a totally beguiling voice. I was captivated, stunned and intrigued all at once, and it just got better from there.
Getting to know Alex and Madison was a plethora of various emotions and there are so many words to describe the essence and depths of this story. Arousal, bewilderment, chaos, danger, ecstasy, friction, gentleness, happiness, intensity, jealousy, karma, laughter, mystery, nervousness, opulence, passion, quirkiness, respect, serenity, trauma, ugliness, value, worthiness, yearning and zest for life. A whole alphabet of emotions and events. More than enough to keep a reader insatiably satisfied for hours. A story that is unpredictable and adventurous. 5 stars.

The Torzial Affair Book 1: Shattered by Via Mari. If you read the Prestian Series about Chase and Katarina then you will remember Jenny, Kat’s best friend and boss at Torzial. You read about some bad stuff happening to Jenny. Shattered is Jenny’s story, it tells you about the bad stuff that happened between Jenny and Ty, and there is a warning in the beginning of the book. However it’s a great story and I loved reading about how strong, independent and willing Jenny is. Brian is a great character also, you don’t read too much about him in the Prestian Series but he is there. He is also more present along with a few more characters making repeat appearances. I am eager to start book two, Bound.

Heart of a Hunk: A Limited-Edition Collection of Bad Boy, Billionaire and Hunky Romance Heroes Various Authors 4 out of 5 stars
For a while I would shy away from anthologies, there was something about a collection of shorter stories that didn’t sit right with me. Completely ridiculous thought process now that I stop to think about how anthologies have a little bit for everyone and it’s so easy to pick up and put down as you see fit.
Heart of Hunk is a great collection of stories that really vary enough to appeal to everyone. I was drawn to this particular collection because of Tamara Ferguson’s writing, it’s been something I’ve really enjoyed in the past.
Tamara Ferguson has a gift for crafting stories with characters that make you feel “at home”. They’re heartwarming and relatable with a Hallmark channel type feel to them. A Kiss Under a Blue Christmas Moon is a second chance romance that met every expectation I’ve come to have with Tamara Ferguson’s writing!
Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R. Abbott was my first read by this author but I will definitely be looking into more of her writing. The chemistry between the characters was fantastic and the storyline was fast paced but never rushed. I thoroughly enjoyed this story!
Heart of a Hunk was the perfect anthology to help me hold on to the Christmas season just a little bit longer! Definitely would recommend.

This story was amazing! This is the first story that i have read by this author and i honestly think i am going to become a little obsessed with her stories (they’re that good!!). I devoured this book and read it in one setting. I couldn’t put it down. The main character is called Evie and i just cant help but feel for her and her tragic start in the world. She is strong and beautiful and she had such a giving soul. I loved her. She meets Dylan through her work when she takes him on as a client. She has a special knack for helping men heal and that is exactly what Dylan is needing.. Will she end up helping him heal or will she end up destroying him in the process? I highly recommend reading this book! Go get it now! Happy Reading. Review by Anastasia D.

McKinley has another smash with this latest installment in the Gray Ghost series. This romantic suspense kept me glued to the pages from start to finish. Although part of a series, it does successfully stand on its own. Absolutely loved the characters. McKinley is quickly becoming a must read author. I cannot wait to see what is next.

Another great read by this author! It had me turning pages from beginning to end. I thought I knew the answers and had it all figured out, then another twist happens. I love the way this author weaves a story and keeps you guessing and on your toes. I cant wait to see what she may have next.
The Lies We Tell by Brittany Butler is about Natalie Conner. Natalie is a self-proclaimed liar and she is living a life where the lies are piling up on her. This was my first read by this author and the blurb drew me in. The story is interesting and brings up some current topics and thoughts. I overall enjoyed this read which I found intriguing. There are jumps back and forth in time to explain Natalie and her situation. These to me were good but choppy and at times confusing. I had to really pay attention to know where in Natalie’s life I was reading. If you like a book that is a fairly quick read with some interesting story this is a good read. I will be reading more from this author in the future.
PLAYER (21st Century Courtesan Book 1) by Pamela DuMond. This book had me in an unshakable grip from page one, although I’ll be honest I didn’t try shaking it too much. This story has so many amazing aspects that draw readers in and takes them on quite the journey. With amazing characters that you fall in love with. Evie is one of my favorite characters I’ve gotten to read about and her story is not one you want to miss. There’s some twists and turns that had me turning the pages as fast as I could so I could see what was going to happen. It’s well written and paced nicely, never feeling rushed or lacking anything. It’s a well balanced story with characters you connect with and root for. I can’t wait to read more from this author. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it.

The Memory of Us is a new adult romance by Lisa Sorbe. This is not the first story I have read by Ms. Sorbe, but it is my new favorite. This book had me on an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end. Elena is such a strong female, who holds herself apart for fear of being hurt. When she returns to her home town after the death of her mother, she thinks it is for a short trip, but the memories make her think differently. Weston is the boy, best friend, she left behind when she left town twelve years ago and the first man she sees when coming back. This story flowed well and kept me rooting for Elena and Weston. If you are looking for a second chance romance this is just the story for you. I highly recommend this book and author. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Sorbe has in store for us next.

5-stars
This was an excellent compilation of Romance novels. I loved how there were different variations from stories featuring paranormals, millionaires, cowboys, ranch hands, service members, and more. My favorite story of all was A Kiss Under a Blue Christmas Moon. It was fast paced and I fell in love with the characters I enjoyed many of the other stories in this set as well. This box set contains books that appeal to a wide audience and each one is fast paced and easy to read. I really enjoyed it!

Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R Abbott is just one story in this anthology that I loved! This story is about a woman named Foxxy. She could be your sister, aunt, or just someone you know. She’s down on her luck and has turned to the streets to pay her bills. She longs for a way out. Enters a tall dark stranger. When they make eye contact, the sparks ignite. These two characters plan quite the adventure of revenge. As always, Abbott has written a worthy story.
A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson is another story in this anthology that helped with the five-star rating. This story is about Mia and Noah and their young love. It’s about finding true love and growing with it. I loved this story as Ferguson can always create a warm and fuzzy feeling with her stories.

I enjoyed reading this story. I have read books by this author before and I really enjoyed her work and writing style so I had high hopes about this one. I’m glad that I wasn’t disappointed. This story was very entertaining and the characters were very passionate in their own way. Soumya is a very strong character and her emotions tend to get her into trouble at times. The banter between her and Vir was fun and frustrating all at the same time. This was a very quick read as I read it in one sitting. This author is very good at making you feel like your there with her attention to detail. I recommend this book.

This is a great collection of Christmas books. I read new authors and some authors I have read for years. This collection has all the different romance genres you need. I absolutely love small town romance and suspense romance. This bundle has them all. You will definitely have enough new authors to read in this anthology. This bundle will get you into the holiday spirit for sure. The two stories that stood out to me the most were A Kiss Under the Blue Moon by Tamera Ferguson and Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R. Abbott.
A Kiss Under the Blue Moon was a beautiful small town romance that made me laugh and cry. Mia and Noah fell for each other when they were just in high school. They were inseparable. Mia has a strict father that feels like no one is good for his daughter. When he meets Noah, the singer of the town band he can tell he is trouble. Noah is falling for Mia and he would do anything to make her happy. When Noah and Mia graduate that is when they have to separate. Noah leaves without a trace. Now Mia is back home and she is shocked when she finds out that Noah is back as well. Mia has a lot of questions that she wants answered. Will Noah and Mia be able to heal the past or was there too much hurt to heal?
Foxxy Christmas is a very hot and suspenseful romance. This story will keep you wanting more. Foxxy had a horrible childhood. She was put into foster care when she was just a young girl. Foxxy is working the streets which is very dangerous. She has always wanted a family to turn to. Foxxy goes to a party and she runs into a beautiful man. She feels a connection to him instantly. Foxxy doesn’t know but the hot stranger has his own secrets he is hiding. She is shocked when this stranger calls her on a job. Foxxy and Richard get to know each other and they are inseparable. The one thing that Foxxy needs to do before she can be free is revenge on her boss. He is a nasty man that deserves everything she brings to him. Will Foxxy get her revenge or will it be too dangerous to carry through. Will she finally find a place she can call her home or will she spend Christmas alone once again?
This bundle will keep you in good spirits. You will fall in love with every single character you read about in this holiday collection. I can’t wait to read some of these authors books that I have discovered in this anthology.

Building Storm by Gwyn McNamee is the fourth book in the Hawke Family series. If you haven’t read any of this amazing series you need to stop here and go get the first book and get hooked.
Storm reminded me of a phoenix rising from the ashes from the moment I started reading this book. Storm is having to learn how to live a new normal but thankfully she’s not alone. Her family is amazing through it all. I think I was crying or fighting tears through most of this book, made me think of a friend who is two months into this exact same journey.
There are so many raw emotional moments from the beginning to the end. I have loved this series from word one but there was something about this book that grabbed me.
I’m not ready to say bye to the Hawke’s and their life in New Orleans and will be waiting patiently for the next book to come out even if I have to wait a very long time which I hope I don’t.

The Shape of Trust by Brinda Berry is the fifth book in the Stand by Me series. This book does not need to be read in order. This is the first book I read of this series and I can see why people are raving about it. Everything about the book is so well done you just find yourself sinking deeper into the story. The characters were fantastic to read about. They are complex and interesting and match the story perfectly. The way the author brings them to life is brilliant to see and adds a different level to the book. I have read other books by this author and this one showed all the same characteristics of her flawless writing. Do yourself a favour and pick up this book today!
Perilous Confessions (The Possession Chronicles Book 1) is by Carrie Dalby. I’m not much of a fan when it comes to historical type stories but this one may have really changed my mind on that. Lucy and Alex immediately grabbed a hold of my attention and I simply couldn’t stop until the end. This story never felt stuffy to me, that I’ve felt in other historical romance reads I’ve done. The storyline flows nicely and I never felt it was dragging on. The chemistry between the main characters is a joy to watch unfold. Each character has their own story to tell and you’ll just have to read this book to hear it, trust me it’s worth it. I’m giving this book a well deserved five star review and highly recommend it to anyone.

Heart of a Hunk: A Limited-Edition Collection of Bad Boy, Billionaire and Hunky Romance Heroes by Various Authors.
5 Stars
This whole collection is one that I will reread every year around Christmas. Many of the authors in this anthology are ones that I already follow on a regular basis but there were quite a few that this was my first read by them and this is what I love about anthologies like this, You come because of authors you know, but you stay because the others also draw you in and won’t let go.
I believe Id give 4 or 5 stars to every story in this collection and can’t wait to check out more from all of these authors.
If I were to pull out just a couple stories it would be Allyson R Abbott and Tamara Ferguson and this is not easy because there were so many I loved, but these two are absolute go to’s for me when I need a comforting read. Miss Abbotts was a bit different than I’m used to from her and I was impressed at how she handled it, and Miss Ferguson gave me the sweetness I love reading during the holidays.
I can not recommend this whole collection enough, it has everything and there’s no way it won’t satisfy everyone who loves to read in one way or the other.

“Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!” (Sir Walter Scott, 1809).
The Lies We Tell by Brittany Butler is my first encounter with this author. I will say that I will read other books by her. She has an imagination that allows her to go between different time frames. Her characters are fully developed, and the story is told by the POV of Natalie. There will be some time jumps from Natalie’s past and her present. Sometimes it took me by surprise, and I had to reread to make sure I knew where I was in the story. One thing I thought was an interesting character trait of Natalie is that she is a self-proclaimed liar. I am not sure that I could believe in anything she ever said. This story takes you on a roller coaster ride and I never knew if it was for what was really going on or if it was made of lie from Natalie. This is a quick read novel and I recommend it for an interesting “get your mind off of things” read. I cannot wait to see other books from Brittany Butler.

Written in the Stars is book two in the Fallen Eagles MC Series Romantic Suspense, Military Romance by T. Birmingham. This story is about Eagle and Winter. T Birmingham just has this way with words that has you hanging off every word, while never quite anticipating the impact these words will have or which way the story will go. It is always a sweetly intense experience to read these stories, and they just get more irresistible.
Winter is the most intense character, and the most puzzling. While she seems easy to read, she is way more complex that what I first thought. Her attraction to Eagle is bone deep, and any relationship with these two will never be boring. Fraught with danger, madness and mayhem, this author carries on the burning inquisitiveness, the anticipation of unraveling the mystery, the lusty loving between two hot blooded, eccentric and honour driven characters and their families and friends. All of these elements come together to produce a high quality story that will have you desperate for more. 5 stars.

The Way You Are (Carolina Connections Book 5) by Sylvie Stewart. I love these books, there’s a little romance, a little comedy and sexual tension for days! This book is no different, it’s the 5th book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. This is the story of Liv, who is a lover of baseball and sex. Not in that order. She has a baseball player boyfriend and he checks those boxes off until she meets Brett, a super nice guy who loves baseball as much as she does. Brett has always been the guy next door and the one that finishes last but he’s determined Liv will break that mold. He is smitten with her, she’s loud, sexy and fun and he’s made up his mind he will have her. Liv looks at Brett as only a friend but as they become closer she begins to have doubts about her boyfriend. Will the nice guy finally finish first? This is a fun, sexy read and I love Sylvie Stewart’s books.

Shadow’s Keep by Megan O’Flynn. Let’s just begin with Megan O’Flynn has become one of my very favorite authors and I can’t wait to read the next book. Her books are amazing and I know when I start one I will not stop until I’m finished. This story was no different. It’s the story of Deputy Sheriff William Shannahan in Graybel, Mississippi, where the craziest thing that happens is a noise complaint. When a child is found murdered he has to come to the realization that there is a killer among them. Cassie Parker has a tortured past and she can’t help be have that creepy feeling that this killer is after her and William will do whatever he can to protect her and her child. This story shows how a safe, small, quiet little town can be full of secrets, lies and murder. This book will keep you thinking long after you’ve read it. I can’t wait for the next Megan O’Flynn book!
Paladin’s Hell: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #1 by Manda Mellett. This is the story of Paladin and Jayden. They have been friends for years with Jayden having a mad crush on Paladin since she was 14. As Paladin waits for her to become older, they get sent to Colorado away from her family of crazy brothers. Their love for one another continues to grow but will the problems of another couple who’ve been together forever spill over into their relationship. New beginnings and feeling like you don’t fit in add to the confusion that’s brought on by the situation. This is a complicated love story but proving love wins most of the time. I kept thinking about this book long after I read it which in my book is a great story!

Surviving the Storm by Virginia Wine is the phenomenal sequel in the Surviving Series! This is by far my favorite book by this author, I was intrigued by Alex’s character from his first appearance in book 1, so I was beyond thrilled when I started his story. I would highly suggest reading Surviving Eden, book 1, first as this book follows directly where it left off.
Alex and Madison’s story was captivating, thrilling, entertaining, funny, romantic and a true page-turner! I connected with both these characters early on and I felt really invested in their story and I’m so happy with how it turned out.
I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone looking for their next romance read!

A great read about trust. Hannah Miller put her past behind her for a new life working for the Secretary of Defense. While travelling to Cuba, their plane is shot down and a top secret prototype is taken and Hannah’s past returns to haunt her. Thrown into her old life of spies and mistrust, Hannah must do whatever it takes to survive and reclaim the prototype while special operative Jack is hot on her heels. Can she make things right? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Hannah tough on the outside but caring underneath or Jack as more than an agent with the helping the homeless. I loved the sense of nature throughout the novel with the jungle and trees and the heat and flies giving it an exotic flair as beautiful but deadly. Also the lightning and thunder later on as something powerful and destructive but also calming was brilliantly written. I also loved the idea of the sound wave weapon which grabs your attention as something new and thrilling and deadly to the spy genre. The switch between the past and present was a brilliant idea and showed how the past shapes you and what happened and was easy to follow with chapter titles of places and dates for extra clarity to the reader. I loved the character of Elsa as a bright and bubbly person and her contrast with Hannah was brilliantly written. The only issue I would raise is that there were some repetition in places and long sentences that were hard to read. If this was resolved with a variety of sentence lengths, it would be five stars. Fast paced action and high stakes made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) By Mark Nolan Rated 5 stars
This is the third in the series and it’s just as enthralling as the previous ones. The writing is so smooth, making it easy to fall into the story. Jake and Cody are two of my favorite characters. I love seeing how Jake works through ideas and how Cody works/helps Jake. When I think the case is at a dead end, Jake always seems to figure out a thread to start pulling until he unravels the whole thing. His relationship with Cody is out-side of amazing! They completely are able to understand each other whether it is by vocal, silent or an eyebrow raise. I love their connection. Jake is a genuinely good guy. He might be annoying and have a big mouth but he also has a big heart. It comes out from time to time and makes me smile every time.
I like the people connections Jake has made over the series. We always seem to see or have reference of those people again. Roxanne is the tech for the PD. She is as interesting as Jake and Cody. I love how whip smart she is! Sarah, Beth, Terrell/Alicia, Agent McKay and Paul all add so much to this story. They all have a love/hate relationship with Jake but a Love/love relationship with Cody. I think Jake’s snarky attitude is what ranks Cody higher.
This story is always full of surprises. That makes this enjoyable to read. I never know what is going to happen next or really anytime. I am just riding along and shocked at or smiling at whatever has just happened. The Dear Reader at the end of the book is so wonderful to read. It talks about the tech and gadgets that appear in the book. I love reading this! Thank You Mark Nolan for all the work you put into this and each story. As well as telling us about it at the end of your books.

The stories are stand alone novellas and each is different from the next. There is action and drama, suspense and tragedy, humor and love as well as the paranormal and fantasy to the normal. Foxxy’s Christmas by Allyson R. Abbott is a tale with a difference and this unique story is refreshing in its originality. Allyson creates characters that you easily fall in love with them and stories that easily draw you in. It is a quick read but one that kept me engaged from start to finish. I loved everything about this story and it is just another story that shows Allyson’s unique talent. The Diamond Star by Jane Blythe is just another example of why I love reading her stories and is one of my favourites from this edition. It is wonderfully intriguing as it is enthralling and is full of danger and suspense, secrets and lies, drama and heartache and lets not forget the romance. I won’t go into any detail, instead I will let you discover the secrets yourself as you read this delightful story! A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson is another wonderful second chances romance story that is as sweet as it is beautiful. I love Tamara’s stories and the famous Cove where I have fallen in love with all her characters and the wounded warriors who have made this their home after war. Wish Upon a Bollywood Star by Pamela Q. Fernandes Four Stars
Wish Upon a Bollywood Star is a short, fast paced romance by Pamela Q. Fernandes. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I have to say I really enjoy her writing technique. The way she describes Bollywood makes me feel like I’m really there. The story between Vir Seth and Soumya Ninan is intense and intriguing because even though they deny an attraction you can feel it bubbling beneath the surface. I love learning about different cultures and this book really delves in. I also liked the way the book flowed and smooth reading experience. I would recommend this romance to everyone and look forward to reading more books from Ms. Fernandes.

Shattered (The Torzial Affair Book 1) By: Via Mari 5 out of 5 stars
The story Shattered (The Torzial Affair Book 1) by Via Mari is a book that caught my interest from the beginning and kept me glued to the pages until the end. One of the reasons I enjoyed the story so much is the characters of Jenny Torzial and Brian Carrington. Jenny is a woman who owns a consulting firm. She is successful and dedicated to the business. However, behind the scenes, she is dealing with emotional scars. Then she meets Brian Carrington. Brian is a man that doesn’t do relationships. He has learned that woman only want him for what they can get from him. Then he meets Jenny. These two have an attraction to each other. She is always in his thoughts. He has become her protector. Will he become more? What does the future hold for Jenny and Brian? Read this book to find out. From the highs to the lows this story had my emotions going up and down with the characters. I felt heartbroken and sometimes angry with what Jenny has been through. She is a character that I grew to care about and wanted her to be happy. There are steamy scenes included in this book as well as bantering back and forth between Jenny and Brian. The book has a smooth flow to it and wonderful character development. This is a wonderful first story in a series and I look forward to reading the next one.

Heart of a Hunk: A Limited-Edition Collection of Bad Boy, Billionaire and Hunky Romance. The collection includes 24 stories, and the titles of the stories I am reviewing are Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R. Abbott and A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson
Foxxy Christmas is a quirky story about the darker, more sinister side of life, and no matter your beginning, the rest of your life can be better and more beautiful. The characters are deadly and mysterious, and kept me dangling and crazy intrigued. The authors writing was engaging, energetic, and attractive to the adrenaline junkie. Set during the festive season, Foxxy Christmas is a perfect way to disappear from reality for a while and escape into the story. 5 stars.
A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon is yet another intensely good story by Tamara Ferguson. This author is special to me, in the way I am taken to another realm when reading these stories. The storyline is so captivating, I escape into it, blissfully unaware of anything but the characters. This story is no different. I loved the characters. I loved the way their love sustained distance and others trying to keep them apart. Their love stayed stronger than ever, with distance no opponent. Their love was sweet and deep, and I could not help being enamoured by them. A beautiful Christmas tale that I would recommend to all lovers of a heartfelt romance. 5 stars.
