I was so excited to read book six in this amazing series. Another fast paced, paranormal, Celtic, romance jam packed with action. The author again does an amazing job of showing multiple POV’s which really gives you insight into both the main characters. The author did a great job of summarizing the previous 5 books and characters histories, but without it feeling like a full blown recap. It’s done in a brief way, so that readers of the previous books don’t feel bored, but new readers don’t feel overwhelmed. We have Baz and Delaney, two very unlikely partners, but they have amazing chemistry together. Baz was such the bad boy with a heart of gold, he had been dealt a rough hand, not finding his talisman before he turned 28 and had to make a tough choice about his future. Delaney was such an awesome role model, a hardworking heroine who was a talisman, but had also trained as a warrior. This was story full of twists and turns and as always I love that it is set in my home state Montana. I absolutely recommend that if you love action, paranormal, Celtic mythology and steamy romance, this is the book and series for you.

This is the second book I have read by the talented Isla Vaughn. The first being the prequel to this duet, Savage Start. While not necessary to read it to understand this book it is helpful. Savage Lies picks up one year after the events of the prequel, and while the events of it are mentioned no background is given to give a full understanding of the heat and thus hatred that fuels Riley and Cole. Riley and Cole are both seniors at Hidden Valley Academy in Santa Monica, California. Riley and her mother never hit a place twice and yet for some reason they have returned here of all places. While she looks different this time Riley still remembers everything that happened the first time, including the amazing soul changing kiss with the stranger at the beach party. Cole still dreams of the little thief from the beach party, with the perfect little body that perfectly fit against his. Now a senior Cole has one goal make it through the year and escape his father, at least until he unknowingly meets his same little thief on the first day of school. While Riley recognizes him, he was drunk the first time and thus clueless now, though he feels something familiar about her tugging in the shadows of his memory. After a conversation with his dad its revealed that Riley’s mom is his dad’s new girlfriend. In his mind that means one thing only, she is trouble, and he needs to make sure they are gone quickly. Only they have invaded every part of each other’s minds. With a determination to both have her and destroy her Cole makes it known around their school that Riley is off limits. To Riley he makes if very clear that she already belongs to him so she might as well face it. Riley feels betrayed and abandoned for the first time in her life, her mom has always been her best friend and filled her in on everything but after nearly 18 years she is telling Riley to turn her back on everything she was raised to do and remember and be a normal teenager. To go out for the diving team, to go to parties, have friends, enjoy living her life like a normal girl. Can Riley survive being the target of Cole Savage? Is Riley’s mom really trying to be normal after all this time? What does normal mean to a girl raised like Riley was? I loved the prequel and impatiently waited for the main books to come out and I was not disappointed. Savage Lies continues to build the world of Cole and Riley, giving more insight to their desires, and hatred. The cliffhanger once again had me on the edge of my seat and I can’t wait for the final part of the duet Savage Truth, April 27th, 2023.

This was a great read! I loved being back in this series and thoroughly enjoyed this book. The book was very well written and emotional at times. I related a lot to Calliope, the female main character, as I have been through similar circumstances in the past and this book held a lot of meaning for me. I highly enjoyed this and can’t wait to see where this author goes next!

Wow! Fantastic Read. This is Book 2 in the Echo Series and I highly recommend reading this series in order as you meet Brandon Rossi in Book 1. At first, I was not sure how I felt about Brandon from Book 1 then continuing to his story in Book 2..but I can say now that after reading this story…. I love his character so much.
This story is of Brandon and Callie….they knew each other since childhood always together with Callie’s brother, Curtis. Growing up, things get complex…..Callie’s parents are hard on her always expecting the best, Brandon always there to support Callie when she needs him the most. Time separates Callie and Brandon…but many years later they reconnect in Morocco.
Brandon is in a successful band, but also loves being artist and drawing in his heart. Callie works for an Art Gallery strives to work hard to prove she is not weak. Callie has gone down from the ashes of being beaten down verbally, emotionally, mentally and physically by a powerful man to rise up and being a strong, independent woman. Callie shares her story to Brandon……all Brandon wants to do is be there for her. Will Callie’s powerful ex get between Callie and Brandon?
This story is fantastic…romance, danger, family, intrigue and some twists I did not see coming and second chances. I am so looking forward to Book 3 in this series (it cannot come soon enough!).

Calliope has a past that can break some people. She has endured physical and emotional abuse at the hands of a man who claimed to love her…and her family supported their relationship not knowing all that was going on. So, when she runs into the man that was a boy she loved when she was younger, their sparks are instantly present. But, with everything going on in her life and their past, can she see where their relationship could go as adults? Brandon is currently in an artistic slump…so he turns to traveling to get his creative juices flowing. When he runs into his friend’s sister, who he had a thing for almost 15 years ago, he wants to get to know the woman he sees before him. Together, they will have to overcome a jealous brother, a conniving ex out for custody of their daughter, and other b.s. from the past that threatens to keep them apart. This is the second book in the series, and it is well written like the first one. This one picks up a couple of years after the first…but can definitely be read as a standalone. Brandon is a protector at heart and it shows. Callie is strong and resilient…and she is an easy character to love. I enjoyed their story and look forward to the next book in the series.

Alam – Review by Rosanna Ingram
Lane has pretty much been a loner since he was turned. He’s been on the run for quite some time after ticking off the Vampire King Valentino. There are orders by the king to kill Lane on sight and many vampires believe him to be insane.
Lane is currently in Rome but is longing to go home to Ireland. However, many factors are preventing him from making the trip. One of those factors is a female vampire who does not shy away from him upon their first meeting. She and her group are unlike any other vampires that Lane has seen. This group pretty much violates every law that Valentino has set up. What a group of rebels!
Will Lane always be alone or has he found allies in Julia’s group?
This is book four of a series and this one could technically be read as a stand alone. However, this series is one that every book should be read!! Lane is a character that doesn’t come into play really until this book but other characters and their backgrounds are developed in previous books.
Some content may be too intense for younger readers so please bear this in mind when gifting or recommending for a younger reader.

His Forever Muse by C.R. Alam is available now in eBook and Physical Book ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review
“I see fire. Passion. Power. Do I make you feel weak now? Because I don’t see a weak woman at all.”
His Forever Muse is the second installment of The Echo Series. This friends to lovers, second chance at love, novel is full of suspense, spice, and strong family support. Brandon Rossi has just completed a long tour with his rock band. Reflecting on his current life, his friend Rae encourages him to travel and work on his art. While in Morocco visiting his friend Chris, he runs into an art gallerist, Callie Chen-Bisset. Callie and Brandon knew each other as small kids. This blast from the past has Brandon in a tizzy. He thinks Callie is the “one he let get away.” Will this visit reignite a spark from the past?
Despite being a part of a series, His Forever Muse can be read as a standalone. (Although you won’t want to miss out on installment one: Echoing Hearts) I love that Alam can write about such hard topics with such sensitivity. (TW: Domestic Violence) During the fifteen years that Callie and Brandon were apart, Callie endured some horrible events that no woman should ever have to live through. Her strength and courage to fight for what is right in her life is inspiring. Her family support is amazing. Popo was one of my favorite characters. And Ella’s relationship with Brandon stole my heart. Overall, this entire series has roped me in. I can’t wait to see what Alam has in store for her readers next.

I couldn’t wait to dive into this book after reading The first one in this series. This book is as great as I hoped it would be. This one can be read as a standalone but it’s my suggestion you read the first one in the series because it’s a great read. In this story we get to root for Brandon and Callie as they reconnect from being childhood friends. This story has romance, suspense, friendship, family and so much more. The author did an exceptional job writing about a tough subject and also pulling you into the story. This is a must read to find out more about Callie and Brandon and there are also some other great characters in this story. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This 2nd book in the Echoing Hearts series is even better than the 1st one ! I was truly hoping Brandon would get his own story & I’m over the moon that he did ! Beautifully written characters & complex layers to their relationships make their story heart wrenching & lovely. Callie is incredibly brave & strong. It is such a relief to read a DV situation & enjoy the survivor powering through without awful details . And of course I’m such a sucker for true love & happy endings . C.R. Alam is truly talented storyteller & gifted writer, & I can’t wait to read more of her work !

The premise of this book caught me off guard because I’ve heard of fake dating tropes or marrying your best friend but THIS? It was super interesting to me, and the author did NOT disappoint! I loved the angst and the drama, it felt like I was watching gossip girl and I loved it. Sometimes the characters were annoying though, and I was confused by the writing sometimes but the pros wayy outweighed any minute cons. Would definitely recommend giving this book a try

This is such a cute story for our little scientist. I read this book to my niece and she absolutely loved it and she also learned something new. This book makes science fun and you learn about gravity. My niece also loved the pictures as well. They went perfectly with the story.
This book was a delightful read, even for someone my age. The book starts a little slow, but once you get into it, you stay hooked. The characters were well written. The world building was great. I look forward to reading more by this author. Reviewed by @mimimadge

Fantastic first read by this author. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. Well written that you do not want to put the book down. I picked up the book not expecting to finish it in one setting. The hate between the main characters that keeps drawing them back to one another is well done. The enemies-to-lover is great in this dark bully romance. Riley and Cole hate one another, yet the attraction to one another remains. There is angst, tension, drama, bullying, lies, jealousy, and secrets. Once you pick it up you will not want to put it down.

His Forever Muse is the second book in The Echo Series. In the first book we met Rae and Dean, but we also met Rae’s best friend Brandon. Brandon Rossi is the front man in a famous band, Canis Major. However, Brandon is also an artist and at the beginning of the book seems to have lost his way. He is visiting Rae while waiting to give birth and she helps him realize that maybe he needs to recharge his batteries. He decides it is time to rediscover himself and get back to having motivation to keep creating, creating music and art. On his travels, he ends up in Morocco, which wasn’t on his original journey, however, this stop leads him to a long lost friend. Calliope Chen-Bisset (Callie), his bestfriend and bandmate’s sister showed up to consult on some art for a new project when they are reunited. Brandon and Callie grew up together and were very good friends until she went to college. When speaking about their past I think both were closer then they ever realized and depended on each other, but as in many situations life happens. Now that they have reunited, neither of them are wanting to let go. The problem is though, Brandon lives in New York and Callie in Paris. Callie is fighting a past that won’t seem to let her go, and Brandon is trying to keep the past from slipping through his fingers again. Each seem to be realizing that they have an energy together that they have never felt with anyone else. There lives are so far apart, but Brandon refuses to let her go again, but will her past keep her from moving forward and letting him in? Is he ready to really give up his entire life to make sure he stays in hers? I really enjoyed book 2. I was already loving Brandon in the first book. He is an honest, down to earth, smart, artistic, gentleman who is a romantic at heart. In every ounce of this book he was respectful, loving, patient, and just what every woman would dream of. Callie was a great character too. She is brave, strong, and finding herself once again as a force to be reckoned with. The chemistry the two had jumped off of the page. You could truly feel the love they had for each other. The author described the feelings in a great way where you could feel the strength at times it took to hold back, or how much hurt they were dealing with. I will say the first love scene, wow!!! Before they even get to the main course she is approaching him like a piece of art and the process of taking her time absorbing everything this man had to offer – okay sign me up – HOT!! Definitely excited for book 3!

This is the second book I’ve read by this author and it’s also the second book in this series, and I loved it. The writing is great, really pulls you in and makes you care about the characters you are reading about. I don’t usually like brothers best friend trope but this author knows how to write it and I was pleasantly surprised! I thought the rock star thing was going to be too cheesy but nope! I absolutely loved Echoing Hearts and was very much looking forward to reading this second book of the series! Although Rae and Dean are mentioned within this second novel, this can be considered more of a stand-alone. So not necessary to read first but it is still very much a well deserved read. In this second novel, the story is focused on Rae’s best friend, Brandon Rossi, a hopeless romantic, multi-artistry talent, a stargazer and part of his very successful band, Canis Major. As he searches for deeper meaning in his own life and seeking his own love, and while traveling in Morocco, he ends up stumbling into an old friend, his little brother’s best friend, Calliope. Their chemistry and connection is amazing and they are what they need for one another. Reminders me of images of Rae and Dean’s charismatic connection. Some hardships and heartbreak has brought them into where they are emotionally as they reconnect. Speaking from personal experience, the memories and emotions of the past stay with a person for many years and it is a long process to be able to find that special someone there after. Mentions of domestic violence but the author does such a great job in being respectful to the incidents as well as the characters. Amazing read and cannot wait for the next one!

Its the story of Brandon Rossi who is the famous star in a rock band called Canis Major. Brandon is her bothers best friend and Brandon always had a crush on him but never encouraged it because of her brother. When she accidentally meets up with him at her gallery she is taken back to all those memories growing up. Brandon is smitten as well and can’t believe his luck running into the girl off his dreams. This was such a cute fairy tale, we get to see how Zarina learned to become more than just a pretty face. The journey and the magical dress helped her to know whom to trust so that she could protect what was left of her family. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys new twists on familiar fairy tales. It is full of hope and sadness.

An enjoyable and engaging romantic suspense, which kept me entertained from start to finish. I loved the second chance at romance storyline, where childhood friends become adult lovers. Calliope is a hard-working Parisian art gallerist who has gone through dark times in her life and has felt broken, but who has put herself back together again, bit by bit. Meanwhile, Brandon Rossi is the boy-next-door in a rock star package, as the front man of rock band, Canis Major, and is also Callie’s little brother’s best friend. When the pair meet up again in the middle of the desert in Morocco, he realises that she was the one who got away, and she realises she’s been in love with him since they were children. Brandon has always expressed himself through his music, but has hit an invisible wall and he can’t seem to create anymore. Having headed off to find inspiration, once he finds Callie, she is his muse. Brandon is able to remind Callie of who she is and their connection has only intensified over the years. Their chemistry sizzles off the page, and Brandon is willing to give her everything, but she’s unsure of opening up to him, and then there’s the fact he’s her younger brothers best friend. However, ultimately it’s her past that may cause problems for the couple. A heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story, I felt fully immersed in the storyline and felt invested in the characters. The story does deal with some domestic violence themes, however these are dealt with sensitively and do give a backstory to the characters situation. It can be read as a standalone story, however, I have read and enjoyed the previous book in this series, and so would recommend them both.

Calliope, or Callie as her friends call her, has know Brandon since she was six years old. As her brother’s best friend Callie and Brandon used to spend a lot of time together. Growing up they enjoyed sneaking out at night to talk and gaze at the stars. As they grew older time and distance separated them and Callie and Brandon pursued their own lives. Brandon pursued his interest in art and formed a rock band. Callie has moved to Paris and pursued a career as an art gallerist.
Then one day in Morocco Callie runs into Brandon who has grown into a feast for the eyes. This is not the man she remembers and she is unable to deny the attraction she feels towards him. Brandon is in Morocco seeking inspiration for his art because he has hit a brick wall and has been struggling to come up with ideas. When the girl that got away re-enters his life Brandon feels inspired and will do anything to keep Callie from getting away again.
Callie has not had an easy life in Paris and has struggled to overcome a dark past. She has worked hard to get her life back together and overcome the trauma she suffered. Only those closest to Callie know her deep dark secrets and she is reluctant to let Brandon know. She is afraid of having that close connection with him but even more afraid that once she reveals her secrets that he will not want anything to do with her. When something sinister resurfaces from Callie’s past she has no choice but to reveal her past to Brandon. Rather than run away Brandon is determined to protect Callie at all costs. Can they truly have a future with Callie’s dark past coming into their present?
This book lured me into the storyline from the very beginning. The descriptions of buildings, characters, and landscapes were vivid and drew me into each scene as though I was standing there. The characters were wonderful, and I loved how the story came together between them. Brandon was not the typical good-looking, macho, full-of- himself Rockstar that one would expect. He had a soft side and his life focused on creativity and expression through his art, his music, and his tattoos. When he hit a brick wall he faltered and needed to find his inspiration again. That inspiration came in the form of a girl from his past that he had never forgotten. Callie was multi-faceted and had the weight of the world being carried on her shoulders with all the dark secrets that she was hiding. Suffering from the trauma of a painful past she has worked hard to overcome the demons and find the courage to move forward. Her strength is to be admired and it was easy to feel and experience the complex emotions she was struggling with. A beautiful read with romance, love, music, passion, mystery, intrigue, suspense, danger, friendship, trauma, and a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

The Traveler: Book 3 is the third book in The Traveler series by Deborah Dugan. We continue our adventures with Harry as he wakes up from stasis in a new configuration and must make his way back to Tristan. Harry must once again go through his journey as he finds himself in danger. This book is even better than the first two. All the thought-provoking events and the complex, emotional plot that you come to know from this series. I absolutely love this series and was so excited to once again see Harry and Tristan.

This book has it all. It has comedic banter, romance, spice, a big sexy strong male character with a heart of gold, and a witty independent fun female character that you wish was your BFF. I can’t think of anything critical to even say about this book. I’ve always enjoyed this authors writing and I’m sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to dive into the sequel to revisit some of the characters touched upon in this book. I can’t wait.

This book is totally keeping me on the edge of my seat. You know when you are getting close to the end of the book and you realize there is no way everything can be wrapped up in the amount of book left, yep that happened. The tension between Riley and Cole is so thick. They hate each other, but they can’t seem to get past the attraction. Who will be able to discover the truth first about what is really going on?

This is such an emotional friends to lovers romance. This is the second book in The Echo Series however it can be read as a standalone and still be enjoyed. I love this author’s writing. There are sensitive issues such as domestic violence in this story and the author handles it in a way that isn’t too graphic but gives the reader just enough information to get a feel of what it is like to be in a relationship like that. Brandon Rossi is a talented musician and artist but just recently he’s lost his mojo. There is something missing from his life but he doesn’t know what that is until he meets Calliope.
Calliope is a art gallerist. After the trauma from her past relationship which left her a broken person she had managed to rebuild herself and her life. She puts on a front of being a happy complete person but that isn’t the case. She is still broken inside and feels she will never be complete until her path crosses with Brandon again.
Their connection hasn’t go away even after all these years and this could be their chance to finally give their love a chance. But things aren’t that simple and when Calliope’s abusive ex returns it could mean the end of their budding romance. This is a heartbreaking and moving story about second chance love and overcoming all odds to find their happy ever after but would is Brandon strong enough to protect her and safe her from her past and the demons that still lurk?

This is the prequel to the Hidden Valley Elite Series. This was a super quick read that was full of so very much. Riley was used to change, so moving to a new town right before her junior year was just what she had come to expect from her life. Things didn’t seem normal though in this new place. Then she met Cole. She knew that she would not be here long enough to get to know him but a girl could dream. Would this time be different and she would actually be able to stay? Would her or Cole’s life ever be the same after this summer?
Ok so I thought that the first book in this series was great, but the 2nd book is amazing. Brandon and Callie’s story was so wonderful. This is the best kind of friends to lovers/2nd chance type romance. The twists and turns of the story kept the pages turning and the characters kept me completely engrossed in this story. I am definitely a fan at this point. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series!
