This book was a must read for sure, one that could not be put down for any reason! It gripped me, and held me at a stand still, I constantly wanted to know more to reach the truth! Outstanding writing!
Nothing can compare to a mother’s quest for the truth. Especially when she believes that what she has been told is wrong compared to what she thinks.. A mother will do anything for her daughter, even in death, that is certain. As a reader, I was at Catherine’s side trying to seek out the truth referring to Susie. The more answers we got, the more things built up and questions came to light. I was constantly trying to figure out the truth, only to hit a wall each and every time. Catherine wanted the truth, she was a very admirable character. Everything leads up to the shocking end, which I must say I was not prepared for, and it was jaw dropping! The character development was done with excellent writing. Great build up of suspense. And a story that is woven that makes you guess as the pages turn. An amazing read and impossible to put down! Loved it!

Love this author for all she does and creates! She truly has the power to grip her readers, and hold them there, and take on a ride, often of self discovery, emotions, and most importantly, love.
I loved the previous book, so I was happy to see the certain characters appear in this one that were in the previous. Candi and Enzo were a match made in heaven, if they could work through the pain of the past, that was with their future. Both had gone through something rather horrible when it comes to true love. I had a lot of ups and downs in true love myself, as my now husband, we had to work thru a lot of pain to be together, so hence why this book and the characters spoke to me so much. I cried, and I smiled throughout my reading. The book was beautiful. The book really makes clear sometimes life gives you that second chance, but it you, that has to take the leap of faith! I was star struck with this book and author!
Such a beautiful and empowering read. Not one to be passed up! Even if you had not read the previous books, you must read this one! Your heart will thank you! Highly recommend this book/series/author!

I missed the first 3 books in the series and I’m unsure if I missed vital info or if they act as standalone novels but dang! An excellent read for sure! Renee was just such a well rounded MC and she had to be my favourite. If I’m honest, how can you go wrong with a little forbidden love. The ending was the cherry on top! A really great read!

The Sacrifice is the first book in the Dragonpets series by R.L.S. Hoff. It is an original Young Adult fantasy with dragons, magic, mythical creatures, humour, banter, romance, and more. The story was a cute and fun read, with interesting and creative world-building- but I would have loved for it to have been longer, ‘meatier’, and more in-depth. I really feel that the story would have benefitted from a little more depth and development. There are times where the story felt a rushed or skimmed over- while other parts felt like a bit of an info dump or ramble. Overall, a fun read- but with a little tweaking this could become quite a stellar read. Will have to see how the rest of the series develops from here. Happy Reading…

Painter of the Damned is the second book in the Painted Souls Series by Rob Samborn. It follows up from The Prisoner of Paradise (Book #1)- so if you are yet to read the first book, I highly recommend that you do as there is a lot of important details, character information, interconnected elements/threads, and intriguing backstory that you need to know in order to get the ultimate reading experience from this book. This second addition to the series is everything I could have hoped for, and more. Mr. Samborn didn’t rest on his laurels, he upped the ante and bringing us another well-written, multi-layered, gripping and incredibly vivid story- which is brimming full of action, danger, suspense, twists, adventure, intriguing historical details, secrets, tension, corruption, agendas, complexity, layers, mysteriousness, and that famous painting that we discovered is so much more than it seems. After everything that happened in book one and only narrowly escaping Venice, Nick and Julia just want to get home and close the door on their nightmare experiences. But fate has a different plan, and instead they find themselves captured and returned to The Floating City. The sinister and ancient order are not done with them yet, believing that Nick can lead them to an ancient and powerful manuscript that they have designs to use to change world order. But does someone have their own agenda? Something so powerful mustn’t fall into the wrong hands. Kiss Away Your Pain is the second riveting instalment the Wounded Hearts series by Debbie Cromack. After reading Someone Exactly Like Me (Book #1), I wasn’t sure that Ms. Cromack would be able to match the captivating feel of that story, let alone better it. But let me tell you that I shouldn’t have doubted her, because not only did she capture the essence of that first book, she surpassed it- exceeding all my expectations along the way. If you haven’t read Book #1 yet, I highly recommend that you do. As even though this could be read as a standalone if you really wanted, I think knowing all the details of the first book will definitely enhance your reading experience of this second instalment. This is Candi and Enzo’s story- and wow, what a story they have to tell. They have been through so much- and are so perfect for each other. Holy hotness, Enzo just melted my heart and made me swoon so hard. We met Candi previously in Book #1, as she is Destiny’s bff. I was so happy that Candi got her own story and her chance at happiness. This story is such a sweet n spicy slow-burn contemporary romance with a ‘real’ and raw feel that definitely added to my overall reading experience. These beautiful, broken characters get a second chance to love again. And, as I am coming to expect from Ms. Cromack, there is plenty of emotion, angst, chemistry, heartache, and drama to keep us completely invested in the wonderful characters and all the absorbing developments. Now I really can’t wait to read ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ (Book #3)! Happy Reading!

National Parks by Laikyn Meng is a heartaching story that spans over a decade- a second chance contemporary romance which you really will need to read to see what happens and if there is a HEA in the end. Ms. Meng is a ‘new-to-me’ author, but her story sounded intriguing, and the interesting cover drew me in- so I one-clicked a copy and set off to explore alongside the characters. This new adult story proved to be quite and angsty and emotional multi-cultural romance. The author weaves a realistic story with cultural elements, family dynamics, family expectations, struggles, challenges, heartache, travel, and adventure through Phoebe and Enzo’s story- giving us a broader perspective of what was happening by providing an alternating point-of-view. This might have been my first read by Ms. Meng, but after this emotional tale, it certainly won’t be my last. Looking forward to seeing what she does next. Happy Reading!

Super Enemies by Lois Wickstrom is an illustrated children’s story aimed at children aged 4 to 8. Bear with me while I get my thoughts in order here as I have really wrestled with my thoughts and how to write my review of this book ever since I finished reading it. And looking at some of the other reviews, I also seem to be the only one here with any concerns. So, let me start by saying that I have read quite a few of Ms. Wickstrom’s storybooks now, and generally, love to share them with my grandchildren as well as giving them quite positive reviews. But this one has left me feeling quite conflicted, and isn’t one I am prepared to share with my grandchildren. Now, how do I voice my opinion in a way that will make sense? Well, I guess I will just wing it and hope my thoughts come across clearly. First of all, I kind of understand what Ms. Wickstrom was trying to achieve with this book- I’m sure she was aiming for a bit of a silly/fun story about sibling rivalry and bonding through play. But unfortunately, it really didn’t come across that way, for me. The story introduces us to Mira and Carl, siblings who seem to constantly bicker and fight. They never see eye to eye at all, and this story would have made more sense to me if there was some show of or example of conflict resolution- showing young ones how we can have differing opinions, choices, likes/dislikes (you get the picture)- without having to resort to fighting. It was quite draining and a little confronting following Mira and Carl and watching them squabble constantly. I kept thinking why aren’t their parents stepping in and ‘positively parenting’ them. Instead, these two get rewarded for their bad behaviour by being taken to the beach for an outing- where their squabbling just seems to escalate to a whole new destructive level. And again, the parent/s did nothing! I could have accepted the whole thing and understood if the parent HAD stepped in and explained bullying, or even mediated some conflict resolution, or the characters had come to an understanding on their own…. As this would have totally changed my opinion of the story and cast it in a way better light. But that was not the case. I know the author thought it was probably inferred, but with little kids, sometimes these complicated things need to be spelled out. There was no agreement between Mira and Carl through the story to say that they would ‘battle’ for the day. There was no coming to an understanding of it all between them. Yes, earlier they had said she was a villain, and he was a superhero, but I don’t think a young child would have necessarily picked up on that. I really felt for Carl, because Mira was quite nasty in her actions. He was being so creative and diligently building his sandcastles- and she was being violent and destructive. It just came across that Mira was intentionally bullying her brother by destroying everything he built- and bullying is not ok. And it is not ok to even hint to young, impressionable minds that bullying is ok. But, again, I must stress that knowing Ms. Wickstrom’s previous work, I am absolutely certain that this was not her intent- and again, I seem to be the only one with any issues what-so-ever, so you need to take that into perspective here too- and that’s probably part of the reason I am writing this review with a bit of a heavy heart. However, I strongly feel that this story could be interpreted the wrong way and send the wrong message. The fact that the parent/s sat back basically while the children fought and didn’t intervene at all, even when things took a violent turn, and with the bullying/fighting occurring over a lengthy period of time, does give the impression that fighting is ok. And it is not ok. I feel it is a toxic message to be sending our young ones. Yes, we all know that siblings fight, even the closest of siblings can have disagreements- and for me, I would want to use such instances as a teaching/learning moment, especially in (this) a children’s story, by explaining conflict resolution, compromise, the idea of agreeing to disagree, and giving anti-bullying/bullying prevention messages etc. This story could have been a great anti-bully/conflict resolution tool with just a little more thought/development, and I am disappointed for the author that it isn’t. Even one of the pictures shows Mira with a slingshot and rocks ready to take aim at one of Carl’s sandcastles- on a CROWDED beach- and the parents did nothing! Someone could have been severely injured. A slingshot isn’t a ‘toy’- let alone to take to a crowded beach. Let alone to condone firing rocks with it???? Or am I being a little too protective. These things should be used under adult supervision, in a controlled environment- not by a little girl on a crowded beach, firing rocks willy-nilly. Just my opinion though. I know that Mira and Carl seemed to be ok with it all in the end- but it has sat badly with me. This is not the review I would have wanted to give Ms. Wickstrom, as I said, she has some truly wonderful children’s stories to her name- but I really feel strongly about nurturing young minds in a more positive way and I feel the ‘messages’ in this book could be misconstrued. Yes, conflict is inevitable, but shouldn’t we be teaching our children the right way to handle conflict and disagreements? I am not writing this review with the intent of insulting the author, as I know she puts her heart and soul into her work. I just felt that this book could send the wrong message… that’s all. I hope this makes sense… I have rated this book 3 stars, even though I had issues with it, as I know how much heart and soul this author puts into her work… Sorry, Ms. Wickstrom, and please don’t hate me for this review- I really did want to love this book as much as your others 💕

I really loved this book. Just the mix of sassy protagonists who have their own agenda that they are working towards and fantasy made this hard to put down. I laughed quite often while reading. Elinor’s witty replies and narration reminded me of Anita Blake.
I read online that this is a six part series and I can’t wait to see the romantic relationship with Tristan Fontaine progress throughout the series.
I love mysteries and I love ghosts so this is something I may read again because I loved it so much.
Ancient Egyptian mystery This is a wonderfully detailed historical mystery that has many twists and turns. The author delivers a story steeped in imagery and archeological detail while staying true to history. Lord Hani and his assistant Maya have their hands full with an outbreak running rampant across the kingdom while tombs are being robbed. They will need to draw on every asset but who can they trust? If you like historical thrillers, this is a worthy read.

Hot For Teacher- Shakespeare Made Us Fall in Love by Felicia Carparelli is a contemporary age-gap romance with a student/teacher element, more mature characters, second chances, finding love unexpectedly, taking a chance on love, humour, banter, opposites attract, and comes with a duel POV. This was a ‘cute’ story, but I really wanted to love it much more than I did… and I’m not entirely sure why I didn’t invest in these characters and their story as much as I would have liked. As I said, it was cute n’ sweet- with an original take on the whole age gap/student-teacher trope, but I found it slow to get going and felt like it dragged in places, which resulted in ‘pulling’ me out of the story. And even though I quite ‘liked’ the characters, I didn’t connect with them like I hoped. I would have liked a little more drama, tension, and/or intensity to really put some ‘meat’ on the story’s bones to really grab my attention…. But it was not to be, so I have decided to revisit this book again in a few weeks and see if I still feel the same way, or if, perhaps, I was just having an ‘off’ reading day (confession- I had a bad dose of the flu at the time of reading, so perhaps that played a part in it all). I am interested in reading more of this author’s work in the future to see what else she can do. Happy Reading!

This book was very cute for kids to read. Lucas is a cat that wanders off every night, and wanders back every morning. One day, the children of his owners’ family decide to attach a camera to his collar to see where he goes at night. With much childlike speculation, the children go to sleep hoping to find out that their cat goes out and is a spy or does other interesting things. This book shows that sometimes imagination is better than reality. My girls, ages 8 and 9, found this book interesting to read, as well.

This book is a prequel to the Mafia Elite series, and is a phenomenal addition to the original series. For me, getting to see the female main characters, our mafia princesses, during their last year of college and see what life was like for them at that time, was a great new addition. The main thing that I found interesting was getting to know Marissa, a mafia princess who was not a part of the original series other than her death being a motivation for many of the mafia members. This book allows you to see how close Marissa was with the others, while also at times giving us her perspective at times. I do hope that this is still not the end of this series, because I never want to leave this world!

Super Enemies is a children’s book for ages four to eight. My son loves books and loves to read .This story made me think of my own childhood and having three older brothers who liked to torment me but don’t worry I tormented them just as much. Id say now as adults we have a pretty strong bond. Mira and Carl are not only “enemies” but siblings as well. These two fight and argue about everything like who’s going to sit where in the car , which activity they will do and so much more. What will happen when they spend some time at the beach? Can the sibling bond make them stronger or will they always be enemies? I highly recommend this book and my son and I look forward to reading more from this Author.

This is the second book in the Wounded Hearts series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone and still be really enjoyed. This is such a beautiful, moving and emotional love story. The author’s attention to detail when creating the characters or Enzo and Candi. Enzo is every woman’s fantasy come true and Candi is like most women (and men) she is dealing with some pain and heartbreak from the past.
The attraction between Candi and Enzo is instant but with Candi dealing with the grief and heartbreak of losing a love she is reluctant to contemplate romance again. Meanwhile Enzo also has issues from his past which makes committing to something and someone a scary prospect for him.
Can Candi and Enzo work through their issues to create a future where they can both be happy or will their fears stop them from experiencing true happiness.
This story is so moving to read that you can’t help but wish the best for the characters, but the journey won’t be straight forward. There are twists and turns and obstacles in their way.

Having read some of the books in the author’s Notebook Mystery series, I was very excited to read this. I loved the crime/mystery plot elements with the historical details of life in New York in 1912. Really though, the interesting part of the novel is how Emma lives two separate lives and the fallout that happens when they collide, as this makes up most of the character development in the novel. The novel kept me turning the pages the whole way through. Highly recommend this one!
And Then She Fell by Dreena Collins is an intriguing women’s fiction story with crime and investigation, grief, loss, heartache, mystery, danger, drama, emotion, and interesting developments. This is the first book that I have read from this author, so I was curious by what I might find. The blurb intrigued me enough to want to explore the book- so I grabbed a copy and jumped right in. The premise is intriguing right from the outset, and the author cleverly weaves a story that caught me in her snare and held my attention the whole way through. I read avidly, all the while trying to piece everything together and figure out what had actually happened before the ‘big’ reveal’- but Ms. Collins managed to keep me guessing the whole way through. I really felt for Catherine, as a mother I can only imagine the devastation I would feel at the loss of one of my children- let alone under such a suspicious note. If I felt there was questionable circumstances around the death of my child, like Catherine, I would definitely want to know more and get to the bottom of what actually happened. The ending was definitely unexpected… A cleverly crafted and engrossing read… Happy Reading!

I never thought I would understand Petty. This book brings a woman from Petty’s past that he ran from back into his life. I think Red’s story is my favorite yet! After reading the prequel to this book, I had to keep reading! I could not put these books down! Just like all of the Satan’s Devils MC books, there are plot twists left and right, but this book was so good at surprising me! Now that Red is the MC prez in Vegas, he’s got it all. But somehow he still feels like he’s missing something. Zeke and Cher are that something. Zeke has their own problems at school, and throughout their life. Cher has always felt like she had to do everything on her own for her and Zeke. Turns out, she can rely on Red. But how much can she rely on someone who is the president of an outlaw motorcycle club? Read the final book about the Vegas chapter’s MC prez and see how his life turns out. 100% worth it, trust me!

He settled into Tucson where he joins the Satan’s Devils MC and finds where he belongs. Before long, he’s moved around again, and eventually makes his way to prez of the Vegas chapter! Read this book, it’s not like any of the others in the series (that I’ve read so far), but it’s just as amazing! It’s suspenseful, addicting, and, of course, one of a kind. There is love, loss, respect, and deception. Red’s life is a fun one to follow.

She saved the best story for last. This is hands down my favorite of the series. Watching Renee recover from the unimaginable with so much determination even when the little voice would bring up the past was amazing and emotional for me.
Declan is exactly who Renee needed to help her recover. He was so aware of her any time they were together, his feelings for her were obvious.
So much happens in this book starting with Renee coming home, her discovering who she is now and so much more.
I enjoyed each of these amazing men and their stories as well as the women who won their hearts.

He’s happy sitting on the sidelines if that’s all she needs.
With the returning threat of the man who kidnapped Renee, Declan must do whatever it takes to keep her safe and show her she’s not alone.
Book four did not disappoint! Every book I read with the Fab Four has me wanting a man who can protect and serve like these four do. This fourth installment is a best friend’s little sister trope and I am so here for it.
Plenty of trigger warnings as there are mentions of Sexual Assault, violence, and kidnapping, but if you love a story about a man willing to wait for the woman he loves this is a good one.
I highly recommend reading all four in order as there are mentions in each book that build on each other to get you through to this one. However, it’s not entirely necessary to read them all to read this one.

Dominic Cacciari is determined to keep the secrets of the Freemasons at any cost. He won’t let Gemma tear them down and will keep her as close as he needs to in order to protect those who need protection.
When Dominic and Gemma find themselves attracted to one another they’re determined not to let it go anywhere. Neither trusts the other but fate keeps throwing them together until it’s too late to see the difference between what they’re fighting for.
The Hunter is book two in the Freemason’s series and it’s absolutely heartwarming. Dominic’s protectiveness and Gemma’s sass make for a fun story. You find yourself rooting for them and hoping they both find the truth and soon.
There were a few parts that the story I found confusing but it was minor and a re-read and focus was all it took to get past it. While I think this book in the series can definitely be a standalone, I feel that there’s a good bit of information to gain by reading book one as well.
This was a fun, spicy Enemies(ish) to Lovers trope. Excited for the next two in the series.

I loved this great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the start, I loved Enzo he was perfect for Candi. My emotions were all over the place. Candi had no plans to fall in love, that is until Enzo came along. Lets just say their journey wasn’t easy, expect several twists and turns. I love the Satan’s Devils books and the Vegas chapter is definitely growing on me. I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this read, Petty didn’t seem to interest me in the previous books. The author did a great job getting the reader to under stand the characters and loosing you to connect with them an draw you in with their life history. I can’t wait to read more of the Vegas Chaper of the Satan’s Devils.

This was a really good read! I enjoyed getting to go back, and kind of getting some insight into the events at the beginning that had such an impact on the main series, but didn’t get talked about often. So it was nice getting information on the tragedy itself. It also gives slightly more of an insight into the mafia girls which I really enjoyed as well. It was fast paced and well written too! I definitely can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!
Tink aka Maggie aka Goldilocks sister gets kidnapped as a teenager. It really impacts and effects Tink’s life even in her adulthood. She starts breaking sex trafficking rings hoping she will also find her sister. For being the first book of the series is very good and I really want to read whole series. Tink inspires me if helping all those people.

I was pulled into this book from the beginning. I was originally drawn to this book by the front cover, but once I read the synopsis I I knew I had to read it, and once I started I simply couldn’t put it down. The drama, the suspense, and all of the emotions in this amazing thriller will take you on an emotional Roller coaster ride. The story is original, the characters are perfectly developed and the book as a whole is the best thriller that I’ve read this year.
