Love Song: A friends-to-lovers rock & roll romantic suspense by K.G. Fletcher

This book had the perfect mix of romance and suspense for me. I loved Sam and Casey from the very beginning and was so thankful that they didn’t play games or beat around the bush.

The character that stole my heart was GG. How stinking cute was she? I just wanted to wrap her in my arms so I could love and protect her. Oh, and Bleu also suckered me in. What is it with little ones and dogs? I’m so unable to resist them.

I really enjoyed every minute of this book and every other I have read by Ms. Fletcher. Looking forward to the next book.

As much as I liked Kelly and Tate’s story, I think Gianna and Tyler is now my favorite. I loved getting to see the side if Tyler we didn’t see in the first book and how he came to a lot of realizations about everything. His family, his feelings about his past and now his future.

Gianna was quite endearing for a New Yorker. She had that hard exterior, but inside she was a big softy and was doing what she could to protect herself and her livelihood.

There are so many things I want to mention but they’re so entrical to the story line that I’m afraid to spoil something.

I don’t think you will be disappointed in this book and how it ends. I can’t wait for the next one.

Drawn to Him by Tammy Mannersly

I truly think Erica is my soul mate. She tries to be as normal as possible, but really ends up failing in what I think is the best possible way. The incident in the storage room at the beginning is something I could have done in the same situation. It only endeared her to me at lot sooner than I would have expected.

Matt is a good friend for putting up with Nate and having to be his wingman, there is something to be said about having a friend who would do anything for you. I would know since I’m fortunate enough to have one.

Who could have expected the turn out for the singles art class? Who could have expected that that first class was the start of something totally unexpected?

I really enjoyed the twists and turns in this book. Started off with small things but then the incidents got bigger and bolder.

I hope I’m not the only one, but am I the only who heard the book in their head with the Australian accent? Oh, I really hope not.

The book flowed well and I throughly enjoyed it. I believe this the first book by Ms. Mannersly I have had the pleasure of reading, and I hope to see more by her in the future.

How have I managed to not find this author before now? I’m not sure how it happened but I’m glad I have found her. And I have already grabbed the first book in her last series to get started on them just as soon as possible.

This was not your typical second chance story and I think that is one of the things I liked about it.

Kent and Amanda had a special relationship starting back when they were kids in high school. There was a pull that neither one of them could deny. Watching them struggle through the years was tough but most relationships have their ups and downs. I just wish they talked to each other as much as they talked to their friends.

I love the fiesty Babette and the shy Matilda and hope to see more of both of them in the future.

Very enjoyable story and looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The Trouble With Paradise (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 4) by Cynthia Hamilton

I think this is my favorite of the series so far. I’m sure I felt that way about the last one too but I really enjoyed every minute I spent reading this book. Madeline is a bad a&^ lady and she proves it time and time again.

The two cases Madeline and Mike have this time are almost impossible to figure out. Two women widowed. One is jail, one isn’t but they both want answers. If anyone can figure out what happened it’s Madeline and Mike.

Can we talk about Samir for just a second? How awesome is he? I feel he is under appreciated and no matter what Madeline does for him it will never be enough.

Can’t wait for the next book to come out so I can find out what happens next.

I am drawn to anything that takes place here in Texas period. So of course I had to read this book and I’m glad I did. I throughly enjoyed this book and already looking forward to the second book in this series.

Tate is definitely the type of man a Mama (this one included) wants her daughter to bring home. Well mannered, respectful. loves his family and willing to do anything for them even when it messes things up for him.

Kelly has most of her life in order. Successfully business and happy for the most part. She wants to find love but not willing to put herself out there after getting her heart broken.

Kelly and Tate just work well together as friends and more. They had a sweet chemistry that I enjoyed watching (reading) it develop. Can’t wait to catch up with them in the next book and to read about the next brother falling.

Center of Gravity: A Standalone Friends-to-Lovers Sports Romance (An Ice Tigers Hockey Romance Book 2) by Isabella Cassazza

I’m not a hockey fan, but I seem to love hockey romance stories and this one did not disappoint me. There was something about Emilia and Matt’s story that drew me in and kept me engaged until the end.

Emilia was not fulfilled, she wasn’t happy in her job and felt like she could do nothing right. Matt had been burned before and was leary of women and relationships, especially relationships. Who knew one fateful night would change everything for both of them.

I really loved both of these characters for very different reasons. Emilia needed a push to discover her inner strength but once she found it she wasn’t going to relinquish it for anyone or anything. Matt had a vulnerable side that dug it’s claws into my heart. He had a lot more inner strength then he realized and once he found it and opened himself up there was no stopping him.

This book was my introduction to Ms.Cassazza, and I look forward to going back to read the first book in the series and keeping up with the Ice Tigers.

TWO HEARTS UNSPOKEN TARGETS (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 11) by Tamara Ferguson

Like all of the stories I have read by Ms. Ferguson this is a sweet, heartfelt love story. There is also a mystery about Zach’s past.

The love between Elizabeth and her son Kyle is just so tender as is the love between Elizabeth and Zach. Don’t even get me started with the relationship between Zach and Kyle.

I was a single Mom at one point and always made sure to put my daughter first and any guy I dated knew that. Elizabeth was the same way, her son came first no matter what, though her circumstances are very different from what mine were.

I loved Zach’s family and hope we see his cousin again soon. Think he would be a good addition to the group.

I devoured this book and was disappointed when I finished it. I love how we get a chance to see previous couples and see how their lives are going. Looking forward to read the next in this series.

I like mysteries but hadn’t been reading many recently, but there was something about this book that drew me in and it did not disappoint.

Cora follows her friend to England for a new life. She had no idea how different and difficult her new life was going to be.

She seemed to be the only one with any sort of common sense most of the time, but especially after the murder was discovered.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a nice break this weekend. Fairly quick read, kept you thinking all the way through. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Being Lost: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1 by Manda Mellet

Yes, we have another chapter of the Satan’s Devils to read about. I’m so excited about the San Diego branch because I love these guys.

Lost is the President of the San Diego branch. He has some issues from his past that seem to linger but he’s a great guy and just like the others in this series he will do what he has to to protect the club and family.

Patsy is not a stranger to the club environment, her daughter is with someone out of Colorado. She has someone from her past chasing her and the Devil’s are stepping up to help.

I’m looking forward to getting to know each of the guys in San Diego and watch them fall like their brothers in Arizona and Colorado.

There was the right amount of suspense and intrigue without being cheesy about it. Ms. Mellett has been good about that in all of the books of hers I have read.

Wonder which once of the big guys is going to follow next.

I had been waiting for this book since I had enjoyed the first so much and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I think I might have liked this book more than the first. Barbara definitely had a hand in that.

We finally get Nolan and Sally’s story. From how they met to how they came to be together. I knew there was a bit of a love hate between them but now all of my questions were answered about them.

I cannot recommend this book enough, there were just so many sweet moments throughout the book. Don’t know which is my favorite, but there are a few competing.

This book can be read as a standalone, but I’m one of those people who prefer to read books in a series in order. Hope you give this great couple a chance to tell you their story.

IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS (Irresistible Romance Book 4) Anthology

This was so refreshing to read right now. Things aren’t currently in the best place and it was so easy to lose myself in the stories of romance and weddings.

The one story I’m going to spotlight is the first book Two Hearts’ Alliance by Tamara Ferguson.

I think I have read all of the books in her Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series and I have loved each and every one and this was no different. I love how the spotlight is on soldiers who were injured while protecting us while they rehab and try to figure out their next step is.

Christine and Jeremy are no different. They connect the moment they’re introduced, but the timing was off. They meet up further down the road and the sparks are still there.

There wasn’t a lot of angst or back and forth with this couple and it was so nice to have something happy to take my mind away from life.

Love and happiness is something that is much needed right now and I got a lot of that with this anthology.

It was nice to see what was going on with this group and see how their lives are changing.

This is was the type of book to keep you at the edge of your seat waiting to find out what happens next. From the party at the beginning to the very end you are involved and unable and unwilling to extract yourself from the story.

This is a great series and cannot recommend it enough.

What a sweet story! I loved how Adam was the epitome of a Marine. He was well mannered, respectful, honorable and is still a Marine though he’s retired. As someone who works with a lot of military I was happy to see she got that part right.

Melinda is enjoying her new life as a Matchmaker. She had no idea when she went to the wedding of one of her couples that her life is going to change for the better.

This was an incredibly sweet story between Adam and Melinda. They both have scars and are learning to live their new lives. I really enjoyed this story and would love to see more of the Matchmaker’s successful couples.

This series gets better with each book and this is now my favorite of the series. I was sitting at the edge of my seat flipping pages as fast as I could just to find out what was going to happen.

Mike and Madeline are working separately for the first time since opening up their agency. Mike’s in LA helping his cousin while Madeline is in San Louis Obispo trying to track down a daughter who doesn’t want to be found. I liked Madeline from the beginning but I think I love her now. She is a bad chick and not afraid of anything at this point. And holy cow, what about Mike!? He moved up the ladder a lot after reading this.

Two very determined people will get things done and they certainly do here. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend you give it a read.

I’m sad to say bye to these characters, especially Clayton, he just appealed to me in a weird way. I hope they all pop up again in future books.

Wow, Nathan and Bryer can’t seem to catch a break. They move forward, only for the past to come back and remind them things aren’t as great as they thought, but they are also not as bad.

There are a few cities I love and two were in this book, and one is where I live. I’ve noticed that I pay closer attention to the details of the location when they’re here to make sure they get it right and Ms. Wine got it right.

The ending was perfect and I’m looking forward to see what she writes next.

Oh this series is one that I will be waiting impatiently for the next book to release. I have been a fan of Ms. Kells for a while now and now I’m a bigger fan because of this book. She nailed the darker suspense perfectly.

Orla has no fear and I love that about her. She has seen so much as an investigation journalist, including war so the streets of Chicago should be easy. Should be, but aren’t though the Vigilante is doing his part in making them safer.

We get to know the members of the this group and I’m so excited about this series.

I really wanted to savor this book and and tried to read it a bit slower than I normally do. There was something about Audrey and her life that called to me and I felt a connection. We really don’t have much in common and I haven’t been able to figure it out.

Silas made his mistakes but when he finds himself back home after almost twenty years he decides to meet up with someone from his past. He has no idea what to expect, but what he does find out is beyond even a wild thought.

I really liked the way Audrey and Silas were together, could have been their age or the fact that they have learned how precious everything is.

I hope to see more of this series. I have really enjoyed each of the books and hope to enjoy more.

We pick up with Madeleine and Mike three years after the last book. They are official Private Investigators and ready to go once Madeleine is done with this over the top birthday party.

I’m usually pretty good about figuring out things before it’s revealed but this one had me stumped with a lot of changing of my mind and I loved it.

This story picked up where the last ended and there was no letting up with what happens to Nathan and Bryer.

There is a lot that happens and of course there is still more to come in book three and I cannot wait to read it.

I really had a hard time putting this book down and even found myself reading at 3am because I couldn’t sleep. There is just something about Nathan and Bryer’s story that has drawn me in and I love them.

I’m curious to see how this all plays out with Nathan and Bryer as well as all the other forces around them and I NEED answers on Clayton and Gen.

This is just a great series. Lots of romance and suspense along with laughs and hard core flirting (Clayton and Gen).

Can’t wait to get started on the next one!

Be Brave with Me: Finding Love in Green Springs, Book One by C.A. Miconi

Everyone deals with their pain in different ways and this couldn’t have been more true with Meg and Drew. They were both angry but they dealt with it in very different ways.

Meg is in the earlier stage of grief and she just can’t seem to get her feet under her after two heartbreaking losses. She ends up in Green Springs and has no intention to stay.

Drew is a life in Green Springs but he too had dealt with grief. He has his life together, good job and his Nana is there for him as well.

This story about two people trying to figure out which path to follow is sweet and touching. I enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Spouse Trap: Madeline Dawkins Mysteries (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 1) by Cynthia Hamilton

This book was everything the synopsis said and more. So often I read about the book and it doesn’t quite deliver the way I expected, which is on me.

Madeleine did everything a woman in her situation would have done in the beginning, but as she started processing and thinking with her brain instead of emotions she wanted answers and dis she get them or what?

The emotions were flying all around during this book. Grief, anger, pain, humor are just a few and I could feel some of them with Madeleine.

There are a few things I felt like were left hanging, but since it’s a series and I have only just completed reading this book I’ll wait to see if some of my loose ends get tied up.

I highly recommend giving this book a try, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Nathan is nothing like you would expect him to be to a point. But Bryer is a game changer for him.

This book was hard for me to put down. I was having a tough night sleeping, I picked it up to read a few pages to try and fall back to sleep. I glanced up and I had read over a quarter of the book.

This story grabs you in a very unexpected way and I loved it. There was some drama and lots of suspense and amazing hot romance.

Hawk and Olivia have had so much happen to them over the last few months. Most of it good, but then they get blindsided by something nobody could have ever anticipated.

Olivia is a rock and she showed that time and time again throughout this story. She showed the depth of her love for Hawk as well as an inner strength that I wouldn’t have expected from her.

I really wanted to pop Hawk in the head a few times, but as the story went on and things started to make sense I decided get needed hugs instead.

I’m so hooked on this series. I love how we are able to keep up with the couples from the previous books and try to figure out which one of the Devil’s is going down next.

Holding Out for You by Anna Paige

I don’t know why Ms. Paige isn’t on top of my go to authors but I’m going to fix that. This is not the first book I have read by her where I got so sucked into the story I lost track of time. I was up way too late reading on a work night, but I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen between Blair and Ashton.

This story takes you through every possible emotion. I laughed several times, cried couple of times, was horrified, happy, relieved, worried and most of those feelings were just the first few chapters.

I loved the dynamic between Ashton, Becker, Blair and Charli. All of them grew up together. The guys have been best friends since they were six and Blair being Becker’s little sister and Charli being her best friend means the girls were always around the boys.

Loved the way it ended. I usually feel like there is something missing at the end of books and keep hoping there will be additional books in the series but I don’t feel that way this time. As much as I loved everyone I’m happy with the ending. She tied up the loose ends up perfectly for me, though I wouldn’t be too upset if this group showed up again in the future.

The saga continues, we get to know Giovanni and Serena better and watch their relationship develop, grow and change from beginning to end.

There are so many things that happen in the book, I’m not even sure where to start with my thoughts and feelings.

I found myself getting very frustrated with Serena and thinking she needed to be throttled. I couldn’t believe she pulled what she did without out thinking it through. It could have ended up so much worse then it did.

Giovanni is understandably a over cautious control freak. He is the future of the Larussio family and that reason alone puts a huge target on himself and the people he cares about, but there is no way he could have seen all of that coming his way.

I loved getting to see Katerina and Chase even though it was a fairly brief appearance. They still are my favorite of the couples, though Giovanni and Serena have a chance depending on what happens in the next book.

Southern Promises: The Complete Series: (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set)

Georgia Clay is the first book in the Southern Promises series. I managed to read this book in an afternoon because I couldn’t put it down.

Katie had no idea what would happen to her when she agreed to go to her ten year high school reunion. I think we all have that one person from our youth that we play the what if game with. I know I do, and even after all of these years I still think of John from time to time.

Clay is sigh worthy. I’m a sucker for the southern accent and I could just imagine his sexy drawl while reading.

Georgia on My Mind is the second book and I think I liked it a bit more than the first. There was just something about Gia and Hart that drew me in from the very start.

Hart was an immature playboy who to me acted like the world owed him. Thankfully he gets taught a very important lesson and finally decides to grow up and be the man his parents raised him to be.

Gia’s back story just made me sad. She has been through so much and she was busting her tail to hold on to the happy part of her childhood.

Georgia Pine is the third book. I loved this book. There was something amazingly sweet and special about Jessica and Tim’s story.

I got tired reading this book and how Jessica kept up with four little girls aged six and younger. I was a single Mom with just one daughter and she wore me out couldn’t imagine having four daughters.

Tim reminded me a little of my husband, he jumped in and was instantly part of the family. It takes a special man to get involved with a single Mom and Tim was just that.

I hope we see more books in this series. I’m not ready to let this group go.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by KL Montgomery

This set has books four through six in the series and I loved each of them. Each story has Romance but it’s heavy on the humor and the schemes the couples find themselves involved alone are worth reading.

Badge Bunny is the fourth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series. I have been loyal to this series since book one and will continue to read the series as long as she writes them.

Brynne is my soulmate. Her love on the old school metal bands made me love her that much more.  Chris is a big softy in a hot police officers body.

So much happened in this book, and I’m not sure which part was my favorite. I think it was one of their moments in the hospital after Chris had a rather interesting call.

Wedding Wars is the fifth book and it was great. I loved watching the little guy stand up to the giant and wish Mom and Pop shops could fight the evil empire big corporation stores.

Hannah and Jason have so much history with one another but it was adjacent not direct history which I think made their story that much sweeter and hilarious.

I still can’t decide my favorite scene, it’s either the carriage ride or the big wedding. Both of those had me flipping pages as fast as I could read them.

The final book in this set is Stage Mom and Hailey had me wrapped around her finger from the moment we met her. What an amazing little girl and her mom Larissa is responsible for that.

Mateo has great ideas on how to bring the pageant into the current century and making it his after his grandmother retired.

There are so many things I loved about this particular story, but they could be considered spoilers and I wouldn’t want to ruin anything for anyone.

You will need to read them for yourself to find out.

Matt is Super Doc and shows that to us several times. He is smart, confident, humble and vulnerable which made me fall for him. I loved that he isn’t the typical perfect, flawless book boyfriend.

My big question is how did I not know about this author before I stumbled on this book? I have no idea how that happened but now that I have found her I’m going to get caught up with everything she has released so far and I will be keeping up with this series.

Pastry chefs have a very special place in my heart, my older daughter is one and I know the work and dedication it takes to be successful. Kally has worked extremely hard to have a successful business and the pride she has in that comes through.

Max is starting over in his hometown. He got my respect early on when I found out a little more about him and as I learned more my respect for him grew. He is definitely the type of guy any parent would be happy to see their daughter bring home.

I believe it’s the little details that add so much to a book and Ms. Kammenou did a great job with the little details about each of the characters and their stories. I really loved learning a little more about the Greek culture and cuisine and I look forward to getting to know the Andarakis family more and watch each of them develop and grow.
