Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand Series Book 1) by Nicole E. Kelleher – Review by Sharon Funkhouser

Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand, #1)Wild Lavender by Nicole E. Kelleher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am sometimes wary of a book that promises Medieval Historical Fiction with “strong female characters” because that narrative does not always come through as a believable story line. Wild Lavender absolutely delivers on strong female characters in a male driven time period, with Anna at the heart. I thoroughly enjoyed the dramatic twists and turns of Anna’s marriage to a sadistic traitor, her background both as a horse master as well as a member of a long-line of female warriors and as the Lady of the land that loves her people, despite her evil husband.
Ms. Kelleher did an amazing job of setting groundwork for future novels not only with this character but many others and I cant’ wait to read the next one.

Truck Stopped (Satan’s Devils MC) Audiobook by Manda Mellett – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is not my first audio book by this author but it is one of my favorites.  This is a series that I have enjoyed reading and listening to from the start.  I enjoyed the narrator’s voice and how engaging they kept the story with their voice.  The author did a great job of creating something so amazing and the characters are steamy.  Truck is badly scarred from his past but will Allie be his savior? Will she show him there is more to her than just a friend? Loved their chemistry. This is a must listen to audio!  I highly recommend this audiobook.

The Man In BlackThe Man In Black by L.R. Liverpool
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a very long book. Don’t let that throw you off of it though. There is a lot packed into this story. There is so much detail into each of the characters mentioned in the book. You really begin to feel like you know the characters and have actually met them. The story is very well written and it has both very intense moments and relaxed moments. It is quite the fantastic book and I am glad to have chose it despite the length! There is a lot more I could say about this book, but I will leave it to you to read to find out more.

The Earl, Her Reluctant Guardian by Wareeze Woodson – Review by Kerry Carr

The Earl, Her Reluctant GuardianThe Earl, Her Reluctant Guardian by Wareeze Woodson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a historical romance with a paranormal twist which I didn’t see coming but enjoyed. The author does an amazing job with the writing and really transports the reader back to that time period. What i like about this story is that the female character isn’t a shy girl who does as she is told as you would expect of this era, rather she is determined and knows her own mind and plays by her own rules.
Vanessa thought she knew what to expect when she returned home after the death of her uncle and even though she was saddened by his loss she was excited to start the new chapter in her life.
What she didn’t count on was all the complications that lingered. From a aunt and cousin still residing at the house, a guardian that sparks a fire inside her like never before, a ghost and a dangerous person committing murder there is more than enough to leave Vanessa’s head spinning.
This story has it all, family drama, Paranormal elements, a sizzling chemistry and murders that need to be solved.
The author’s writing was Great. I got completely lost in this story and i couldn’t put it down.

Truck Stopped (Satan’s Devils MC) Audiobook by Manda Mellett – Review by Amanda Glaspie

Once again, this book proved why this is one of my favorite series and I’m so incredibly sad to see it end for the Tucson chapter. This was wonderfully and beautifully written. I felt every single emotion between Trucker and Allie. I found myself unable to stop listening and when I had to “put the book down” I found myself thinking a out it. I loved how this followed the same normal format as all the other books but also gave closure to the Tucson club. As always the narrators were fantastic and were absolutely perfect.

This is the 3rd book in The Balefire Series. The story of Annabelle and Dakota is so good. This is a second chance romance as long as they both get out of their own heads and admit what they truly feel for each other. There is just so much to this story. Each book in this series just gets better.

This is a pretty good book. Jasmine, Blake and Luke are the primary trio. One’s a best friend and the other is the alpha. It was Jasmine’s job to follow the rules and between the three that was pretty hard to do. It’s a good paranormal romance that is pretty predictable. I liked the storyline.

Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand Series Book 1) by Nicole E. Kelleher

Wild Lavender is the first book in the Heart & Hand Series and is a Historical Romance/Fantasy / Paranormal Romance that I enjoyed ready. This is a fairly new author to me and I wasn’t really sure what to expect going in but man once I started reading there was no stopping. I was drawn in from the beginning and found myself lost in the pages. Wow not at all what I expecting but a thousand times better. This story is packed with action, danger, adventure, politics and so much more. Anna finds herself in an arranged marriage to Lord Roger who is not a nice man but a very cruel yet evil man. She’s a strong woman who somehow get the strength to overcome the fear of him. What will happen when Larkin appears in town? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next especially if you enjoy historical romance. I look forward to seeing what other books this author has.

This is book 2 in the series and I highly recommend you start at the beginning of the series , not only is it a brilliant read but you’ll not enjoy the full experience of this series as characters and incidents intertwine .

Nicolette Rivers , our marine sniper from Atonement , is now living a good and happy life but her sister Casey is the deputy in Elder but she bears the scars physically , mentally and emotionally from her run in with the serial killer from Atonement, she is a tough cookie though and faces her fears head on .

There’s a new “war” to fight now , random robberies , a dead officer , blackmail etc and the. To top it all there’s matters of the heart involved when she has to work side by side with her d flame FBI agent Boyce Hunt , these 2 have some unfinished business as it is and their flame is smouldering and despite all that’s going on their passion. Is rekindled …..

Expect the unexpected, you’ll be kept on your toes throughout this read of that I can assure you 🥰📚
We get to know more of Cassie and who she is and what makes her tick which was nice because we only met her in Atonement and she played a vital role .

There was a moment where I swear my heart stopped ! Cassie and Hunt are held up in her home and all I could of was her past trauma and how it would effect her and her reactions but fear not this Amazonian warrior took the bull by the horns , a real and true survivor! You left me in awe girl !

Another brilliant, hair raising and nail biting read ❣️📚can’t wait to read the next instalment .

The Man in Black by L.R. Liverpool is a great thriller romance.

Truck
Badly burned and injured I’ve lost everything. I can’t fight fires anymore, or even ride my bike.
I brood, alone. I even have thoughts of ending my life. What have I got to live for?
That was when I hit my lowest point and began to want to fight back.
I couldn’t do it alone, but never expected the person who’d be a friend to me would be Allie.
Was she like the rest of the sweet butts willing to do anything to become a biker’s old lady? Had she sunk her claws into me because she thought I was easy? Was she ignoring my scars just so I’d patch her?
Was she encouraging me back to the club for her interests or for mine?
Could I move past the fact all my brothers had known her intimately?
Allie
I enjoy sex. I’m not going to apologise for that. But Truck? He was different. It wasn’t just getting off with him, it had been something else. Something I wanted to explore.
Before I got my chance he’d gone, and hadn’t returned, or at least, not as the man he once was.
The club wants him back, so I volunteered to try to reach him.
My heart shattered when I found him scarred, broken and angry, but I wouldn’t let him push me away. He needed a friend and I could be that.
I can’t hope for anything more. Biker’s never fall for sweet butts, do they?

Sins of the Father (The McIntire County Series Book 3) by Winter Austin – Review by Betsy Melano

Sins of the Father (The McIntire County Series: #3)Sins of the Father by Winter Austin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really like reading a book series and this one hasn’t disappointed me yet. The author does a great job of world and character building. I especially like that we’re provided with a different character, Jolie’s point of view in this book. She is a new member of the force and gets immersed in a case of a missing girl.
The story kept my attention, between the characters from earlier books, the new characters, some drama, and even a romance mixed in. All of that means I couldn’t stop reading!

Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand Series Book 1) by Nicole E. Kelleher – Review by Kristan Anderson

Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand, #1)Wild Lavender by Nicole E. Kelleher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wild Lavender was the first book I’ve read from Nicole E. Kelleher. Honestly, wow. I was blown away by how good this story was. I’m not typically someone who enjoys a period piece but this was very well written and kept my attention until the very end. Anna is one incredibly strong and determined woman. After realizing her arranged marriage was going to be anything but loving and romantic, Anna needs to be bigger than her husband. Thankfully he tends to be away for long periods of time which allows her to become close with the people. This book does have quite a bit of everything. Steam, romance, treason, resilience. I greatly enjoyed the relationship between Anna and Larkin. I wasn’t sure about reading a medieval times book but I’m very glad that I did. I’ll definitely read the others in this series!

This book was definitely not a normal read for me. It was definitely more of a dark book and into alternate lifestyles. The storyline flips between different time frames often, and sometimes that was hard to keep up with. Tang is a writer who discovers a woman she had been involved with was in a car accident. The problem is that she has kept that from her girlfriend, Layla. Dee is the woman she was involved with, and Dee has a string of men and women. It was an interesting read, and it keeps you wanting to find out what happens.

Isla Vaughn keeps me tied to her stories of Aspen and Phoneix. Those two in the story suffer so much but how much will love and secrets can be handled? In this part of the story, Aspen loses the memory of Phoneix and their baby. But Phoneix loves the man that Aspen has become but when the memories come back to the top how much love does Aspen have to forgive the past and move forward? I can’t believe how much I love those two together but really who is in steak them or the baby? You just have to find out. I fall in love with her books and I know people will too.
Before reading this book I recommend you start from the beginning of the Hidden Valley Elite series.

The stories are so amazing that I have all of her collection in my wishlist as the physical books. I am hoping to have them all.

Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand, #1)Wild Lavender by Nicole E. Kelleher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just loving this coverart ! You can feel it’s going to be an epic !

Lady Aubrianne ( Anna) loves her people and she will do anything to protect them , she’s beautiful, brave and strong . Look , I think her marriage left her more than a little disillusioned, what she expected and what she got is worlds apart . Lord Roger , her husband is a cruel and nasty piece of work but his wife is no fading wallflower and is up for the challenge and on more than one occasion she stepped in for someone else and bore the brunt of his cruel sadistic nature .I admire her strength .

Then there’s Larkin and he has a history with our Anna and I so wish things could’ve been different from the start for them and one could feel the tension between them …..

Not an easy read because of the hardships and cruelty endured but getting lost in the secret passages and the steamy scenes relieved a little of that emotional scarring 🫣😉
