Wrecked (The Merciless Few MC)Wrecked by S. Courtney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This MC romance had me hooked throughout. Each book in the series tells the story of one of the members of ‘The Merciless Few’ MC. This storyline focuses on Reaper who is suffering after his relationship, his bike and his life were all wrecked. Having had his life turned upside down he focuses on his club and his MC brother’s. Until Avi and her daughter Raven, ‘tater tot’ comes into his life. When mother and daughter are in danger from a family member Reaper vows to protect them both. The world of the MC came vividly to life through the descriptive narrative, making me feel immersed in the story. The plot had a mix of drama, emotions, MC life and of course romance, along with twists and turns that all kept me happily turning the pages. I look forward to future books in this series.

Wrecked: The Merciless Few (The Merciless Few Series) by S Courtney – Review by Kirsten Berkebile

First book that I have read from this author. I absolutely loved every bit of it. I felt so sad for Avi and Raven throughout the story. Avi comes to America for a better life for her and her daughter, Raven. She has a brother named Frankie who came to America first and said he would send for her. Unfortunately, he didn’t send for her and then things that got bad for her and her daughter when a “boy” decided to put his hands on Raven. She fled to the US on a ship, she was brought to the area that her “brother” worked/ owned. Coming here she thought she would be safe from danger, it turns out she wasn’t. In fact, I feel like she was in more danger. I couldn’t wait to finish this book and I know you won’t either. I can’t wait to read the next one either. I am hoping that there is a series with this MC group so that I can learn more about the club and the band of brothers along with their ol’ ladies and club bunnies of course.

Wrecked: The Merciless Few is part of the The Merciless Few Series and is a MC Romance that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down till I finished. This is my first book by this author and I wasn’t real sure what to expect going in. I love MC Romance so I dove right in and man I’m glad I did. I was an emotional mess going in and this story had me crying at times. Parts of it crushed me . The twists and turns along with everything in between this was a remarkable story. The characters pulled me in they are developed, raw, real and relatable. Reaper oh what I can say about Reaper, his life was simply a mess and turned upside down till he met Avi and her Lil daughter. He’s a bit leary about opening up to her but what will happen if he does? These two pulled at my heart and really made the story fly off the pages. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author and this series.

Wrecked: The Merciless Few, The Merciless Few Series, S Courtney, Review, Itsy Bitsy Book Bits, MC, Romance by Joanne Ellis

“Crashed and Burned” is a gripping and raw tale that delves deep into the world of motorcycle clubs, following the journey of a man whose life has been upended. This novel offers readers a blend of intense emotions, the brotherhood of bikers, and the personal battles of the protagonist, all woven together in a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The narrative kicks off with a powerful opening line: “Crashed and burned.” These three words encapsulate the turmoil in the protagonist’s life, hinting at a catastrophic event that has left him grappling with the wreckage of his past. His relationship, his very existence, and even his beloved bike have all been turned upside down. The protagonist’s connection to his motorcycle is profound; it is more than just a machine to him—it represents his identity, his freedom, and his sense of control. This bike is the one constant in his life, the one thing that he believes can never fail him, unlike the people around him.

As the story unfolds, readers are drawn into the protagonist’s world of leather, chrome, and the roar of engines. The vivid descriptions of the motorcycle club lifestyle bring to life the camaraderie, the loyalty, and the unspoken code of honor that binds these men together. It is a world where trust is earned, respect is paramount, and every man knows the road can lead to glory or disaster in the blink of an eye.

Despite the rugged exterior, “Crashed and Burned” is not just about the thrill of the ride. It is a story of personal redemption and healing. The protagonist’s journey to get his bike “back in gear” mirrors his internal struggle to rebuild his life. The scars from his past relationships have left him wary and closed off. His vow that “no woman was going to ever change that” and “no woman was going to make me crash and burn again” speaks volumes about his pain and his fear of vulnerability.

The book’s strength lies in its authentic portrayal of the protagonist’s internal conflict. His resistance to emotional attachment, his fear of getting hurt again, and his reliance on his bike as a source of solace are relatable themes that resonate with anyone who has faced betrayal and loss. The narrative skillfully balances the adrenaline-fueled action scenes with quieter, introspective moments, offering a well-rounded view of the protagonist’s psyche.

“Crashed and Burned” is not just for fans of the motorcycle club genre; it is a compelling story for anyone who enjoys tales of personal growth and resilience. The author has done a commendable job of creating a flawed yet relatable character whose journey is as much about finding peace within himself as it is about riding into the sunset. The ending, while leaving some questions unanswered, hints at the possibility of new beginnings and the hope that perhaps, one day, the protagonist will find the courage to open his heart again.

In conclusion, “Crashed and Burned” is a captivating read that offers more than just the thrill of the open road. It is a story of heartache, healing, and the unwavering bond between a man and his bike. A must-read for those who appreciate a gritty, emotional journey of self-discovery set against the backdrop of a motorcycle club.

This was a great 5 star read. Wrecked is a great title for sure as I felt Wrecked after reading this. The author’s writing pulls you right in and you don’t want to put it down. My emotions were all over the place. Reaper is a member of the MC group The Merciless Few, his world is turned upside down and is deeply hurt. When he meets Avi he has an immediate connection with her. I really liked Avi, she is a strong female character due to her past. Will they be able to help each other get past their old wounds and get a HEA? Overall I really enjoyed this read. This is the first book I have read of The Merciless Few MC Series and actually the first I have read from this author. I can happily say it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this storyline with Reaper and Avi right from the very start. Reapers quick connection with Raven, his little Tater Tot, was so adorable. There is a lot going on and a definite Villain that you will absolutely 100% hate right from the first meeting. I will reading more of the Merciless Few for sure.

This is a MC romance from an author that I havent read before. I love MC romances and I enjoyed this one just as much. This story is a gritty read full of twists and turns that keep you guessing. As it is an MC romance it also shows the strong relationship between the brother in the MC. Their bond is unbreakable which I love. I also love how members of the group are very much alpha males. They love hard and will protect what they care about against all odds.

In this story we meet Reaper. After finding out the woman he loves is cheating on him, he ends up being involved in a accident which pretty much destroys the other lady in his life, his bike.
As he starts to recover he struggles to overcome his fear of getting back on the bike. As well as steeling his heart against anymore romance he also needs to figure out if he can rekindle the passion he once had for riding his bike.

Avi is a woman who needs to escape. Her life is filled with abuse and torture and she needs to escape with her little girl to live with her brother and start a new life.
Little does she realise that her brother isn’t the same person as the one that left her. He is now a major drug lord and a very powerful person. Now she needs to find a safe place away from her brother and the person she meets is Reaper.

This is a story of two people who are damaged in their own way. Both of them are scared to let anyone in for fear of being hurt again. But together to reignite something inside each other that neither of them can deny. This story was a captivating read and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Like any amazing story it all starts with a book. Andrea finds in it the library and it sparks her desire to find Atlantis. She never knew what she would find there but a trip through a doorway at the bottom of the ocean brings her to new friends, her mates, and a tournament she just has to win. This book is so unique and so fun with the perfect amount of steaminess. I knew right away that I would have to read the other books in this series. I love the relationships between the characters, they are so well written. Andrea is a great female lead as is written with so much strength. I really enjoyed this story.

This one is not what I expected out of an MC. Yes it has all the clubhouse raunchiness, attitude and they deal in pretty much anything. There are only four guys plus the prez so not a lot of different people to remember. They have the family attitude and it was a bit weird to see/watch Sam and Lucifer. I was surprised she would volunteer to be in the wet T-shirt contest (just seems out of character for the club mom).

As for the story I liked the idea of it. The female MC has struggles and shows she will do anything to survive. At times she has sass and while I get she was a bit miffed at her brother the way she blew up on him from the beginning made me wonder if his attitude towards her reflected that. I did like her story because she never quits.

Overall this is a good story with a lot of action and drama. On a personal level I really do not understand that Frankie. Good thing we did not see him being nice so we only know him as a monster.

Wrecked is the first book in a new MC series and the first book that I have read by this author. I was intrigued by the description of the story and couldn’t wait to discover the characters. This is a book that is full of angst and tension. The characters each come with their own type of baggage and need to figure out a way to try and make things work between them.
I thought the story was well written. Not only is it exciting to read but it sets the scene for the rest of the series really well. I already know this is a series I am going to enjoy the whole way through. I liked the authors writing style. It seems really suited to this type of book. I am looking forward to seeing what else she has to offer.

Wrecked: The Merciless Few by S. Courtney. I love a good Motorcycle club series and this book was a great fit. Its the first book in the Merciless Few series and I’m so ready to read the next. Its the story of Reaper a member of The Merciless Few and he is broken hearted. He has just recently learned the woman he thought was his soulmate was cheating on him. When he meets Avi and her little girl Raven he is determined to protect her with everything he has. Avi has a lot of drama going on in her life with her brother and he is a danger to her and Raven. The more time Reaper spends with Avi and Raven the harder time he has in not getting feelings for her. Will he be able to open up his heart again and risk getting hurt all over again? Avi against her better judgement has drawn Reaper into her family drama and she is embarrassed and scared. Reaper seems to help her feel safe and she hasn’t felt that way in a long time. Will they be able to just stay friends or will they try and make a relationship work either way Reaper is determined to keep Avi and Raven safe no matter what. This is a great start to this series and I can’t wait to read more!

This MC romance kept me hooked throughout. The series focuses on the members of The Merciless Few MC and this is Fiend’s story. Fiend has a difficult past including suffering with a major injury. He knows he’s made lots of mistakes and doesn’t think he deserves happiness or love. This is a fast paced, page turner with plenty of drama, suspense, angst and MC romance. The storyline took me on an emotional rollercoaster and the descriptive narrative brought the world of the MC vividly to life.

The Rebirth: Part One: Aliens and Royalty (Planet Amazon Book 1) by Crystal Dawn – Review by Roxsanne Lesieur.

The Rebirth: Part One (Planet Amazon #0)The Rebirth: Part One by Crystal Dawn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It all started with a book about the Amazon society and it’s advanced populace and technological domination, so when a chance to open a door to this almost magical place appeared, there was no other answer than yes, especially when the opportunity came up for actually going through it!

This was not the reality when opening her eyes for the first time after travelling through the doorway, however, a very friendly queen showed her their current society and what made it that way. As some things clicked into place and a new way of life was found, it also left more questions than answers, but at the same time, unconventionally comforting.

One surprise was the physical and emotional reaction to two men in particular, the desire and fate surrounding the inevitable was hard to resist, but will a way home be found and normality resumed, or will this way of life become something loved? This is a sci-fi romance with plenty of action and adventure throughout which will keep you rooted to your seat.

Soul Sacrifice by Courtney Davis is yet another example of why she is one of my favourite authors. I can’t believe more people haven’t heard about her books- because she really knows how to weave a fantastic tale. I have read most of her books now and just adore her work- she really is an amazing storyteller who produces fresh, original, and creative stories that fire my imagination and leave me wanting to stay in the ‘worlds’ and stories she creates. I have definitely developed an addiction to her work…
This a captivating urban fantasy with a dystopian setting/dystopian society, caste-like system, romance, very original premise, soul mates, agendas, danger, drama, high stakes, action, adventure, tension, intrigue, chemistry, suspense, a quest, gods, a soul curse, self-discovery, emotion, secrets/deception, betrayal, a race against time, politics/government conspiracy & control, the haves and have nots, and much more.
The world has been cursed by the gods. A society of Fullsouls, Halfsouls, and Nosouls- where Halfsouls not only need to find their soul fragment, but then battle it out for the chance of a Fullsoul life. Oh yeah- sign me up. I’m in. Ms. Davis had me completely captivated by the synopsis before I had even read one word.
Ebony is a Halfsoul who desperately needs to find the other part of her soul. But in the society she lives in, she practically has no rights, and will need some ‘expert’ help to track her soul-half down…. time is running out. The most successful searcher is Lark Duport and his team, and so Ebony seeks them out hoping they can help. But their initial ‘meeting’ doesn’t go so well, so it looks like she’s on her own in the search for her Halfsoul. But Lark has a change of heart and they are soon thrust into a dangerous adventure that neither could have really predicted. Things are not quite what they seem – and what they uncover has far reaching implications. What happens makes for a fascinating read. This is one adventure you won’t want to miss.
The story is told from multiple POVs, which gave me a deeper perspective of what was going on. I really would love to read more from this ‘world’, and characters, and find out what happens now that the ‘team’ have a better grasp of what happened/going on.
Highly recommended!!!
Can’t wait to see what Ms. Davis has in store for us next!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Courtney Davis!

I picked this up on a whim even though I was kind of on the fence about it. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not based on the cover and short synopsis. Once I decided to dive in, there was no going back. The author gripped my attention in the first few pages, and I couldn’t put it down! This was my first book by this author as well as the first book in the Planet Amazon series. I really loved this refreshing look on the world of Atlantis. This was a brilliantly written Sci-Fi Romance! Even if you think this book might not be for you, I highly recommend giving it a chance. The training and fighting that she endures is engaging. The writing was good and descriptive but sometimes I wanted more details. The Rebirth: Part One: Aliens and Royalty by Crystal Dawn, illustrated by Raven Blackburn, introduces readers to a captivating and unconventional science fiction setting. In this first installment of the Planet Amazon series, we follow the protagonist as she finds herself thrust into a world vastly different from what she anticipated.

The contrast between the expected advanced society and the medieval world creates an intriguing backdrop. This clash offers ample opportunity for creativity and exploration, making the setting feel fresh and engaging.

The presence of two attractive male characters and a benevolent queen introduces romantic and political elements that can add depth and tension to the plot. How these relationships develop will likely be a significant draw for readers.

The medieval society on Planet Amazon is detailed and immersive. The author’s ability to create a believable and detailed world helps ground the fantastical elements of the story.

An enjoyable and entertaining sci-fi romance which kept me hooked from start to finish. Army Colonel Andrea dedicated her life and career to finding a hidden doorway from Earth to the planet Amazon. But instead of the advanced society she expected she finds a primitive world. This medieval society was at war with the closest planet to them, Gallegos and they fought with sword and staff. Andrea discovers that she may be stuck on Amazon with no way home. When she meets two handsome men Jonne and Marcus she feels a chemistry with them both and learns they are her soulmates. The descriptive narrative brought the planet of Amazon vividly to life along with the characters and other planets. I found Andrea to be a likeable and relatable character, and the chemistry between her and her soulmates came across in the narrative. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
