The story starts slow and can be hard to get into. The name changes did nothing to keep you following but I did love the characters, the plots, and the Morrigan. The story has a lot going on between the adventure, romance, and history; It’s a decent read. If you have some time and want to read a paranormal story this one is the one for you.

One truth about this book: I loved it!!
This book has a few twists and turns. It was a bit predictable for me as well, up to chapter 34 anyway. Then things changed but not as much as I thought they might.
I couldn’t put this book down until I read it all the way through though. Overall, a very well written story!

Maria and Oz were wonderful characters with loads of heart who drew me straight into the story and kept me turning page after page. Oz has been through a lot and has so many personal responsibilities that even though he knows his band has what it takes to be a big thing he is reluctant to move forward with it all because he needs his 3 paycheques to make ends meet. With Maria she is newly divorced with no where to go and nothing planned. They meet just before Marias sisters wedding and the attraction is instant but the big question is what would giving in mean for both their futures especially because they have more than just themselves to think about?. I truly loved this story and this very talented author definitely has a fan in me! In fact I went and pre ordered the next book in the series as soon as I finished reading this one LOL.

Laurent has not seen Phoebe in years. She was the girl who broke his heart and now she is back wanting his help. They made a pact years ago to marry at forty if both still single, Laurent though wants to marry for love and Phoebe did a runner before.
Phoebe has spent the years hopping from one place to another. She never thought she would reach out to Laurent but the chemistry is still there and they have an agreement that Laurent will pretend to be with her so she can get through a family event that is going to be difficult at best.
This was entertaining. It takes a bit to warm up to Phoebe but once you get to know why she did what she did you begin to understand her background. I liked Laurent from the very beginning and appreciated that he is honest with his feelings. The book definitely sets up for more books in the series.

House of Arsceneaux: A Vampire Paranormal Romance Novel is the first book in the Servants of Morrigan: Immortal Creatures series. I was not sure what to expect, but I was intrigued by the title. Set in Louisiana, we meet Vampire Evariste Gage Arsceneaux, who is drawn to Caitlin DeDanann, sent to Louisiana as an investigator. Evariste knows Caitlin or recognizes her soul as his lost love. Will he be able to convince Caitlin that they are connected? This has a great setting, interesting characters, and lots to enjoy. Though a bit convoluted at points, this is an overall entertaining read. Also, the author hits a lot of territory with this one book. There is paranormal, romance, vampires, historical fiction, suspense, and more. I enjoyed the characters though I had to jot notes of current versus past names for some of the characters to keep track of everyone. I look forward to seeing what the author does next with this series. I assume there is a lot of background here to help move the series forward. If you are interested in an interesting read with some twists and turns, I recommend checking out this book.

I absolutely adored this story. I thought the author did a wonderful job of creating an imaginative and well described world with complex and interesting characters. I absolutely adored Cressida and couldn’t wait to see how she would handle each situation that came up. She is definitely one of my favorite book characters! Seeing the progression of her relationship with Caravahl, despite all of the barriers was so sweet to follow. This book definitely had its share of twist and turns, but everything wrapped up well! I will be absolutely checking out the author’s other works and keeping an eye out for anything new!

I was absolutely blown away at how fantastic this book was. The author did an amazing job of creating unforgettable characters and descriptive backdrops for everything to play out in. I would absolutely love to visit Louisiana after reading this story. This was a fabulous book, it wasn’t a quick read, but definitely worth every page, I couldn’t put it down. Every time I thought that everything was resolved, the author threw in more plot twists that just kept making it better. Caitlin and Evariste or Gage, were just the perfect couple and the different obstacles they faced just made them even more incredible. Seeing the change and growth with both of them separately and together was wonderful. I loved all of the immortal creatures popping in and out of the story. This was an extremely well written vampire love story for the ages. I can’t wait to see what other stories the author will write.

5 Star’s A Way Out (Rock Star Book 2) by Tami Lund
A Way Out is the second book in the Rock Star Series and is a Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I read this entire book in one sitting because I had to know what was going to happen next. This story is packed with drama, chemistry, secrets and so much more. Oz and Maria come from two different backgrounds, she’s newly divorced and no plan or place to go so she heads to sister’s house in L.A. but when she arrives she finds a strange man there instead. Oz is house sitting for Holly and Sam as they are in Missouri preparing for their secret wedding. Maria and Oz have unbelievable chemistry. These are surely meant to be as they both deserve someone that makes them happy. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I will say this can be read as a standalone as I didn’t realize this was the second in this series till after I had already started. I’m definitely going to check out the other books in this series before reading the next one.

I’m a sucker for a paranormal romance so I was all in for this book. It had me hooked beginning to end, the idea of a love that transcends time appealed to me.
The author created incredible, well-structured characters who I adored. I especially loved Caitlin – she started so relatable with her work life balance and yet as things changed and we (and she) came to know the truth she kept that relatability. Of course, I also loved Evariste. His emotions really came through as he was determined to be reunited with his lost love. The two face many dangerous obstacles and I was emotionally invested, rooting for them every step of the way.
I loved this book, and although I’ve read others with a similar premise of a returned dead love, this book was still able to be unique and at times surprising. This was the first book I’ve read by this author, but I will definitely be looking out for more!

This is the sound book in the Ground Rule Series. I recommend reading the Walk Off first because there is a cross-over of characters and it will help you better understand these characters.
Zara is a highly independent woman that knows what she wants and goes for it. She is not afraid to admit that she loves sex and does not care much for relationships. As a woman in a male-dominated field, she has to work harder and have a backbone of steel.
Noah Ashe is an MLB player and friends with one of the men that Zara works for. Noah is a private person and avoids the spotlight and tabloids as much as possible. He is intrigued by Zara because they have a history. He walked in on her naked in this apartment one day when she was waiting for someone else. From that day on he has wanted her. The confidence of this woman was like a beacon to him.

An entertaining and enjoyable sports romance with plenty of drama and romance set at Tryst Falls. Single Mum of twin girls works as the pool manager, ensuring all the activities are safe and fun for the clubs children during the summer. Christy gets a shock when Ryan Harper joins the club, and she’s forced to come face to face with the man who broke her heart. Ryan can’t believe it when he turns up to his new club and sees Christy, the only women he’s ever loved, and he still feels guilty for leaving her. However, he gets more of a surprise when he meets her twin daughters and sees his own eyes staring back at him! This is a heartwarming second chance romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Both the setting and the characters are brought to life through the descriptive narrative and the storyline flowed well. Christy and Ryan’s chemistry came across in the story and I was hoping they would get their HEA. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Someone to watch over me was just amazing and beautifully written from the very beginning to the very end. I Absolutely loved reading Lucia and Angelo’s story. They grew up together as best friends. He was a toddler when she was born. His mother and Lucia’s mom were best friends. Both Angelo and Lucia have been Inlove with eachother for the last 20 years but neither of them knew how the other one felt. Angelo refused to tell Lucia because he didn’t want to be her first love, but he wanted to be her last love. Just when they think, they can have the happily ever after, of course something happens ripping them apart again. This book was really such a great read. It had a lot of emotional parts, some heat, lovable characters and a great storyline. Definitely highly recommend this book!

If you love a slow burn romance that has a push/pull effect between characters this is a definite read. This story of Nicco and Destiny gave me all the feels that I love with a romance story that starts with friendship and just beautifully blossoms.

Nicco being intrigued by Destiny from the beginning…knowing that his persona is being a full fledged “playboy”. This is the 3rd book in the Wounded Heart Series. It can be read as a standalone however once you read one you will definately want more. This author has an amazing way of writing which allows the reader to feel every emotion, from happiness to sadness, from frustration and anger to complete bliss as well as love, flirtatious behaviour and heartaches that follow along the journey.
This is a friends to lovers romance which isn’t straight forward. For a start Angelo has always grown up protecting Lucia. He has never allowed himself to act on his feelings even though he loves her. You can feel his conflicting emotions as he trys to remain the protector and friend, the guilt of wanting her so badly battling with his responsibilities to protect her. Lucia on the other hand wishes Angelo would stop seeing her as a little girl but see her as the woman she has become. After a drunken night where she offers Angelo her virginity leaves her feeling rejected she decides to move on. Fast forward and their paths cross again. Will now be the time when they are honest and confess their true feelings for each other? Or will there be too much water under the bridge to ever make this work. Can love conquer all or will some obstacles be to much to overcome and any attempt to try may destroy their friendship.
This is a slow burn romance that deals with some difficult situations such as loss and miscarriage. It is a beautiful emotional love story

An enjoyable and engaging second chance romance which had me happily turning the pages. Set in the small town of Vine Valley book one in this series introduces us to the Grasso family who own the local vineyard. This story focuses on eldest son Laurent, who twenty years ago made a pact with his best friend Phoebe that if neither of them were married by the age of forty then they should get married. She then disappeared and Laurent didn’t think anymore about it, until she suddenly reappears asking him to marry her. Phoebe never expected to be taking up her childhood friends offer but having reached forty, not married, and desperately wanting to survive another family event, she sees no other option. However, having had his heart broken by Phoebe when she left, Laurent has one condition, that she can’t fall in love with him. Phoebe agrees to a fake relationship but didn’t realise how hard it would be to not fall in love with Laurent. I love the characters in this story and the main characters Laurent and Phoebe have real chemistry. The descriptive narrative brings the small town of Vine Valley and its inhabitants vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Someone to Watch Over Me: A Forced Proximity, Childhood Friends to Lovers, Unexpected Pregnancy Romance (Wounded Hearts Series Book 3) (Wounded Hearts Romance)
I haven’t had the pleasure of reading the first two books in the series, but it wasn’t necessary to know the players and their background.
Angelo and Lucia have a very deep friendship sine they have known each other since her birth. He is her protector through her life and he is the first one she thought to run to when her world came crashing down.
I loved both of them so much and while I got frustrated with them, I also understood. They were willing to remain friends and nothing more out fear of not having one another. Jumping from friendship to a relationship isn’t always successful and ends up causing more pain than a normal break up would.
I laid in bed and read most of the book in one sitting which isn’t something I have done in quite a while. Unable to put it down and fall asleep. Worth every minute of lost sleep.

I’m on the fence with this book. While it was good, it wasn’t great. I was waiting for an attention grabbing moment but it never came. While I liked Angelo almost entirely, his way of thinking is very strange when it comes to his feelings for Lucia. Lucia’s over-reaction to almost every scenario was overplayed as well. The end of chapter 17, I had to walk away for a few days and then attempt to engage in the story. Overall, Lucia’s BFF, Prisha, was the most honest and relatable character. I would have loved more scenes with her realism. I was hoping to enjoy this more and find a reason to rate higher but it was just an average story that kept me entertained.

A Way Out is the second book in the Rock Star series by Tami Lund. It is a wonderful rockstar romance with plenty of chemistry, drama, angst, challenges, and emotion. I didn’t expect to like this story as much as I did, I thought it would be a good palate-cleanser between ‘meatier’ reads- but proved me wrong on that front and was ‘more’ than expected. Ms. Lund surprised me with an engrossing story that had more depth and development than I was anticipating- and has left me with a taste for more and made me want to explore more of Ms. Lund’s work. Lucky for me, she has quite an extensive catalogue of work for me to binge through. This is the second book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone without feeling lost, confused, or like you are ‘missing’ something. Having said that though- it has made me curious about what happened previously, so I will definitely be going back and reading the previous two books (prequel and Book #1), before continuing with the rest of the series. The series contains: -Before the Band (Prequel) – Sam and Holly’s story. -Why Can’t We Be (Book #1) – Lacey and Parker’s story. -A Way Out (Book #2) – Maria and Oz’s story. -A Little Too Soon (Book #3) – Travis and Ava’s story. -All Keyed Up (Book #4) – due for release in August. Will they get their second chance- or will the past ruin any chance of happiness? This was quite an entertaining read. This is the second book in this series which is just as great and maybe a little better. I enjoyed this author’s books as I know I am in for a great romance story. I enjoy her writing skills and attention to detail that make her stories pop. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. A story about two people a little reluctant to open themselves up to romance. What will happen with these two if they do? I enjoyed how they pulled me into their world of romance and their one night. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and had me wanting to know what happens between these two. I enjoyed watching their chemistry and growth throughout. Don’t miss what happens with these two characters. I highly recommend this book.
I enjoyed reading this book. This is a book about one woman’s journey of finding love and letting go. Tessa is learning to open herself up and letting love in. This is a story that will take you on an emotional roller coaster. Tessa is a great character that I felt for and wanted to see her get happiness. She is strong and a heartfelt character that is my favorite and I enjoyed what she brought to the story. I found this story to be fast paced and hard to put down. A story that is engaging and keeps you coming back for more. There is great growth of the plot which made it easy to read. You don’t want to miss this story. I highly recommend this book.

A MMF second chance romance with a whole lot of Steam! This is a good story with great heat and it will keep you turning the pages to see how it ends. A misunderstanding leads to the demise of a relationship and the subsequent breaking up of a band. But after Caro and Nash rekindle their romance, can they convince Grey that with them is where he belongs? Page turning excitement, just NEEDING to know what happens next. This is book 2 in this series but the first time I have read this author and I will be going back for book one. I did not miss anything in this 2nd book by having not read the first. There were no gaps in time or missing links.

Modern paranormal romance This book is a fast paced second chance paranormal romance. The fantasy world the author creates is well done. There’s vampires, supernatural elements, mysteries, secrets, adventure and fated soul mates. I’m a sucker for these storylines. It was an engaging and original take on vampires. This is the first book in a series so I’m looking forward to seeing where the author takes the story next. Recommend.

A Toast to Laurent is the first book in the Vine Valley series. It is a second chance romantic tale and a good start to this series. Set in a new small-town, where everyone knows everyone, and everyone is all up in your business. This small-town romance is an entertaining read even though it is a little predictable. A tried-and-true formula but it works. Theresa puts her own quirks and charm into the characters and the town and that keeps you coming back for more. Theresa has written a wonderful tale that will have you swooning one moment and giggling at another as you fall in love. The characters are realistic and the chemistry between our main characters is sweet, sparks fly, and I love the witty banter. She left and broke his heart now 20 years on, a fake romance and NOT falling in love has never been so hard. I can’t wait to enjoy more of this delightful small town and its inhabitants. I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves a small-town romance!

Ladies of the Links #2 is a second chance, New Adult sports romance story. I haven’t read anything by Haley before and was unsure where it was going to go with the golf references, but it did not disappoint. The story is well written and it’s easy to connect with the characters. The group of friends made me laugh with their antics. Just like my group of friends and their carrying on. It is a crazy, sweet and sexy tale with a little heartbreak and pain, hope and love, fun and laughter. Christy thought it was love but he left them. He loved her but he loved NFL more. Now he is back and hoping she will forgive him. But there is one thing he didn’t know. Ladies of the Links #2 follows friends who make no apologies for the way they live their lives. True friends that have each other’s back when the rumour blog hits the hood. A great read that will have you engaged from the beginning. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
