I already have book number two in my TBR pile. I highly recommend this book to anyone who thoroughly enjoys romance novels, especially when they include a love triangle with twin brothers. This isn’t a long book, but it held the elements needed to be intense in all the right places. Riley and Tristan were both attracted to each other, but Shannon was keeping them apart. Shannon had a crazy girlfriend stalker painted all over her. The desperation to hold on to a man that she had only been on dates with for less than two months is astounding. I could understand Riley and Tristan being shocked to find each other during the fire. Despite the darker side of the book, there are several times I couldn’t help laughing at some things Riley and her friend Terrance said and did. When Riley hired Terrance, he fired her other secretary by walking up to her desk and stating he was the new office assistant. He then told her she was being let go. He even interfered with her confronting Riley by claiming she was extremely busy. Riley had hired him less than five minutes earlier. I have read another book by Elena Kincaid, and she is a talented writer. I look forward to reading many more of her novels in the future.

Afflicted Love by Autumn Sand is the first book in the Rhythm & Heart series. This book was quite a ride. This was a very intense story of love and heartbreak. This story draws you in right away. This is an M/M romance that is steamy and romantic but also tumultuous. Kyle and Lyle met as young boys and found refuge in each other. When Kyle needs him the most, Lyle pushes him away and their love is severely tested. This story made my heart swoon and break. Some issues may be triggering but it is definitely worth the read.

This is a great start to this series. As soon as I started reading this book I was completely drawn into it and I couldn’t put it down. This story took me on a wonderful adventure. This was full of action, danger, fantasy, monsters, great characters and so much more. This author did an exceptional job at building a world the reader can get lost in. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. This is a must read, you will not be disappointed.

Where Fire Meets Flame (Yours From The Ashes Book 1) by Elena Kincaid. This is such a good slow burn romance. Its a short steamy read and if this 1st book is any indication of the next in the series I’m ready! Riley is a private investigator who finds other spouses or partners when they are cheating so she is in no hurry to find romance. When she meets Tristan the hot firefighter she is very attracted and he is as well but neither of them show it. Tristan has a crazy ex so he’s not ready for another relationship. When they finally do slow down and get to know one another they truly like each other and it gets very steamy very fast. I finished this book in one sitting and it was so good. I can’t wait til the next book in the series and hopefully I’ll be cooled down enough from this one to read it!

I enjoyed reading this story. Lillian is always looking over her shoulder and lives a life of solitude to protect those around her. But, it is at the expense of her own happiness. Tristan works hard to get past those walls…but, once again, Lillian is trying to protect him by sacrificing hers own wants (even through it is super frustrating as a reader!). When tragedy strikes, will they find their way back to each other? (You have to read to find out). Overall, a good paranormal romance story that I enjoyed reading.

I liked a lot about this but disliked the repeated unknown answers and slowness. I felt a lot of time was spent on secret agendas and us not getting a lot of information because it was being withheld from the main character. That frustrated me. I liked the world these characters live in as it is different. Also the magic and wildly creative creatures that come out as the story moves along kept me engaged.
The characters are plentiful and likable. Some more so than others but with all the duplicity you never know. Maren makes huge leaps and bounds in growth of herself. She starts at a town healer and meets a stranger who changes the course of her life.
Overall this is a good and action filled story. I feel it could have been a lot shorter with the same information. This foes end in a cliffhanger just as it we are getting a few answers to major questions so that bummed me out too. I have read other stories by this author but this is my first fantasy from her.

This book was amazing! This was the first book I have read by this author and I was BLOWN AWAY! I was initially drawn in by the cover art as well as the fact that it was a teacher student romance novel. The book was so good I could not put it down. The author has set up a story some of us have lived through. It was hard in the beginning, the emotions were raw, but the end brought forth a new message. I enjoy reading a strong willed woman, and a stronger male character who can fight their way out, and build back their independence. While this was a hard story for me to read, in the beginning. It soon became a must read book, sending out a whole new outlook. The emotions are raw and the events are real. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

This book is a refreshing take on the fae and how they interact with the mundane of the world. Such an original story. I love the characters and interactions as well as the plot line. I will definitely be reading more Sinister Styx!
This was a great 5 star read. It took me a bit to get pulled in but once I was I didn’t want to put it down. I really liked Natalie and Grayson, they were great characters and I enjoyed their story, even though they started out not so great. They were both very strong and had some things they were dealing with. As you read their story you get drama, action, steamy moments and so much more. We do also get some twists and turns that put Natalie in danger. Will Grayson be able to keep her safe? Overall this was a great story. The author did a great job with her writing. This is the first book that i have read by this author and I enjoyed it more than I expected too. The summary of the story sounded interesting and nothing like what I have read about before so i was quick to get it downloaded and read it on my free evening. There was a lot that happened in this story but it didn’t feel rushed. It had elements of romance with a little bit of the supernatural thrown in and that made the story even more interesting. I’ll Love You Tomorrow is the third book in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy. I absolutely loved this book and had a hard time putting it down until I finished. I read the previous two books and definitely recommend reading them as some of the characters we meet in previous books. This one is by far my favorite yet. Her characters are well developed and very relatable and real. You could feel the heartache through her words my emotions were all over the place. This is Lauren and Mitch’s story. These two have known each other since she was six years old and have been married for the last six years. She has a restaurant named Pier Ninety-Two that she has put her everything into. And Mitch is pulling away becoming distant. Neither one wants the divorce but he doesn’t seem to want to fix it either. When her restaurant burns down she’s heartbroken over it. Can these fix their marriage before its to late? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.

This is a based-on-a-true-story of the author’s quest to find love. He’s a divorced dad of boys who lives in Austrailia and he’s ready to move on with his life.
He first meets Zoya, who is a super ambitious business woman. She’s a bit crazy though and has bouts of anger and lashes out at the weirdest of times. Zoya and Leo have good chemistry, until everything blows up and Zoya admits a huge goal that does not interest Leo.
Next is Aysha. She’s a therapist and there is an ethical dilemma with them forming a relationship. However, after the pre-determined time passes, they are free to do whatever they wish.
Last is Jade. She’s still trying to recover from a failed marriage and treading a new pathway for herself. Her kids need to come first and then there’s the semi-ex-husband, who seems to keep popping up.
This book just wasn’t for me. I felt this was really superficial and almost like a bad high school play. I think Leo’s only redeeming grace in this story is his love for music and poetry. He seems like a real romantic but it had a feel to it that just didn’t attract me to this story at all.

Savage Truth (Hidden Valley Elite Book 2) by Isla Vaughn. This is the second book in the Hidden Valley Elite Series and its so good. Its the continuation of Riley & Cole’s story and its intense. Its the conclusion of their story and boy is it good. Riley has ever only known running and hiding and she’s always tried to stick to the rules. Cole just wants Riley and her mom out of his life but he’s blinded by the emotions he has for Riley. He doesn’t understand them and wants them gone. Cole has never felt anything more than physical but with Riley its totally different. When Riley finds out who Cole’s dad is and the fact that he has plans for Riley she immediately wants to run but her mom says no. They are finally going to stay and live their lives. Can Cole and Riley get over their hate for each other to work together and maybe even find out they like each other….a lot? Read this amazing book to find out what happens!

This is the newest book in the Popov Boys Series. Once again I have no complaints about this book other than I wasn’t ready for it to be over. I love this series and I truly love how well written these characters are and how detailed the plot lines get into the mafia life. Efrem’s goes out as Punk at night and hunts criminals to turn them over to the police. Miranda is definitely a strong female character. She has gone through so much. The last thing she expects is to fall for PUNK, but here she is. Can they get past their age differences to make things work? Once again this is a fantastic book in the series. I definitely have enjoyed each and every one and recommend reading them!

Andrik is such an amazing character. He has definitely been dealt a hard hand and he is very judged by his looks. He has lived a very hard life and has not had anything handed to him. He joined the Popov Bravata and works his way very hard to earn his way up the ranks. In the earns himself a very special assignment, guarding the boss’ daughter. Who also happens to be the girl he has had a crush on in nearly forever. Annika is not a normal Bravata princess, she loves her piano more than people and is confined to a wheelchair. The two develop feelings for each other, however, Andrik fails at his duty to protect her. This turns their lives on their heads again. Once again this mafia story is fantastic. I cannot recommend this series enough. It is filled with steam, suspense and twists and turns!

Another sweet story by this author. However, it does not start out sweet. In fact it reeks of divorce and sadness. This story is a little heartbreaking but so very true showing us the trials of married life and letting “life” just pass on by.
Mitch and Lauren have been together for YEARS. And their story shows how those closest to us can be the first ones to be neglected. Relationships take work, marriages take work. Mitch said “But I don’t think either of us can deny that we’ve been together for so long, we’ve lost ourselves along the way.”
This story tears Mitch and Lauren down and then builds them right back up. It’s not easy. But man is it so worth it. “People grow and people change. But in the end, our soulmates are the ones who help us find our own souls.”
This is the third story in this trilogy and should be read in order as each story refers to characters from the other books.

This series is amazing! This is book three and although it can be read as a stand-alone, I suggest reading them all. Not only will you get a better understanding of the back story but they are so good.
This book centres on Lorenzo and Isabella. She is a head strong, driven journalist who through her stories hopes to bring down the family. Yet she is a reporter with integrity, only wanting to reveal the truth. With some personal issues behind what she does, she walks courageously into dangerous situations.
Lorenzo, being the consigliere, is always watching to protect the family. Getting rid of this nosy reporter is top on his list. She already knows too much and is smart enough to uncover more. Although he knows he should bury her, he can’t fight the attraction.
This is another book filled with danger, secrets, action and passion. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts. I loved them both. This is a fantastic addition to the series that I highly recommend.

This was an easy to read, short romance which focused on Tristan the firefighter and Riley the private detective.
I thought the characters were well-written, especially as the story is told from both perspectives, and felt that the tougher subjects in the plot were approached respectfully; however, I felt that there were parts which appeared to be a little underdeveloped.
I enjoyed the plot, it was a unique idea and considering the length of the book and the events which take place, the author did a great job. I strongly believe that had the story been a little longer, the author would have been able to provide the depth necessary to take this from a good read, to an incredible one.
I absolutely loved the characters. Tristan’s strength and protectiveness whilst also being sensitive and unafraid to display emotions won me over. I also loved Riley’s strength and independence, but mostly I loved that her career was one that is usually reserved for the men in these types of books. The chemistry between the pair kept me rooting for the couple in the face of the dangers they faced. That paired with the steam, great!
Overall, I enjoyed reading this and would consider reading it again in future, but I feel that an increase in length would have allowed for further development which would have made all the difference.

I think it’s safe to say that this story definitely lives up to its title! This might have been a short read but it was jam packed full of action from the very first page. Riley and Tristan had so much chemistry and I loved Riley so much! She was a brilliant female lead. Tristan had the sexy firefighter vibe going on so I was swooning over him from the moment I met him! Both characters had their past issues – some a little crazier than others. I would definitely have loved this book to have been longer, the characters were great and the potential for their story to be longer and a bit more detailed was definitely there. I am really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future!

I love a Western Romance read and I’m so glad I stumbled across this one! It was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The emotions of the characters just poured off the pages and I could really feel what they were feeling at times. Elle was such an inspirational character to read about, I really feel like the author took her time when planning and writing about Elle, she took a very sensitive and triggering issue and really wrote about it well and with respect. Elle wasn’t the only character with past demons that she had to face we also had Blake as well with everything he was dealing with. Both characters had an inner strength and I loved seeing how they supported each other throughout the story. This really was a wonderful, yet hard to read at times, story however the author did an amazing job with handling everything sensitively and I would absolutely recommend this book to other readers.

I thought this was a good read. I was biased about the character Blake because that name is very special to me. I loved that his character was working hard to better himself and I thought Elle was a good counterpart for him. I love books that are about people finding there way back home. I look forward to book 2.

Elle returns to Sweet Valley a bruised, yet willful woman. Blake has been living his life in a bottle since Elle left town and broke his heart. Elle, deciding to take over her Grandmother’s property, offers Blake a chance of redemption and healing by hiring him on. While these two reconnect, they both realize their attraction to the other never disappeared.
This was a quick and enjoyable read. I appreciate the level of suspense the author was going for but it was a highly predictable ending. The characters were mostly great although my favorite character was a goat name Frankie. I like the simmering anger you felt Elle fighting throughout the story and her finding life after trauma. Although Blake was a tough character to enjoy early on, he does become more tolerable, although still not a likeable main character for me. Good read and looking forward to the next in this series.

This was a fun read. I enjoyed the characters’ interactions with each other. The worldbuilding was good. I liked the build up to the relationship between Huli and Xiao Ying. Ling Ling’s character was superb. The story starts right in the middle of the action and keeps you reading with suspense and bit of mystery as the characters discover who they truly are.

Last King is the first book in the Legacy of Riverfall series. Maren is the underpaid, underappreciated healer for her small village. She spends long days creating tonics and potions to heal the villagers and receives little in return for her hard work. Maren has dreamed of leaving her little village but is unable to because she looks after her younger sister who is sick with a mystical disease and is unable to travel. Maren and her sister Thea live in a cold, damp, and dark basement with little money and little food. Everyday is a fight to survive and figure out where the next meal is coming from. When Thea arrives home late one night and tells Maren that the deputy is after her because she stole a loaf of bread it starts a ripple effect of events for Maren.
Maren tells Thea that she will take the blame for her and when the deputy comes, she takes Thea’s place. When the deputy carts Maren off to jail she is not concerned that he will hurt her because she knows his secret and that she is the only one who can create the tonic he needs. She is thrown into jail with several other prisoners and must do what she can to get through the night. When Maren is confronted by an angry prisoner her survival mode kicks in, and she is prepared to fight. As another prisoner steps in and tries to protect her, and things intensify in the jail cell between prisoners, the village bell goes off warning them that the village is under attack.
The villagers immediately run to the caverns to hide out while the village is under attack, but Maren does not make it in time. Maren and another prisoner, Zane, find themselves left outside with no way to protect themselves from the attack. Kane asks Maren if she will help him find something and offers to take her to where he knows there is a magical plant that will help heal her sister. Maren is reluctant to go with this stranger but loves her sister and wants to heal her. She sets off on an adventure with Zane and they must work together to get what they both want. Although chaos is raging all around them an attraction begins to slowly form between Maren and Zane. As their adventure continues secrets are revealed about Maren and she learns things about herself that cannot possibly be true. Can she trust Zane? Is there really a magical plant that can heal her sister? Can these secrets that she finds out about herself really be true?
Last King started out with a bang and immediately grabbed my attention. The storyline was enthralling, the setting was vividly described, and the characters were amazing. Maren is someone who puts up with a lot of from the villagers who often take advantage of her kindness and generosity. They expect miracles from her but do not want to pay her. Maren says nothing although it hurts her deeply and takes its toll on her mentally. The lack of money she makes from tonics and potions for the villagers makes it hard to provide the basics for her ailing sister. Maren loves her sister and will do anything for her, including believing a stranger’s claim that there is a magical plant that can cure her illness.
When Zane tells Maren about the magical plant, she heads off on an adventure with him even though he is a complete stranger and even though she is unsure that she can trust him. What ensues is a slow burning romance, action, adventure, mystery, suspense, danger, and the revealing of secrets that could alter Maren’s entire world. This fantasy adventure has magic, monsters, kings, fae, and paranormal elements. This was a great read and I cannot wait for the next book.
