Great read. This story is so creative and nothing like what I have read before. I really enjoyed the concept of Rene and Belladonna’s relationship, and how they came to be together. My heart hurt so much for the pain Rene goes through, not only with his sister, but with his own brother! Belladonna upset me, she didn’t give Rene a choice in anything and made decisions about Rene’s life on her own, but in the end, I think, he thinks it all worked out for the best. The ending was left open, a second book could be added on but if there isn’t one, the story was still wrapped up nicely.
The slow burning sizzle! This one was an exciting romantic, joyful, yet suspenseful ride. I felt it was kinda slow to start. However when that fire started to burn the flames grew! Cassandra’s determination and then later growing into more dedication to Chandler was definitely something that I felt like I was a part of. And the slow grow with Chandler. Well that made me want to strangle him at times. I would say this was a pretty light quick read.

I love the cover ! I love the dedication! I love what’s between the pages even more ❣️📚
So when we meet Lauren she’s literally hanging on by a thread and even my tired is tired for her , my flustered is flustered for her and my heart goes out to her ….she feels like she’s loosing Mitch , her marriage , the restaurant and their dreams ….
Mitch comes from a more humble background than Lauren and I get that he has insecurities but there were moments where I just wanted to shake him and remind him Lauren chose him over everyone and everything else but I get his heart and then he realises life and love is about giving and taking and both him and Lauren do that near the end and man they’re just awesome and deserve every moment of happiness after all they’ve been through ….
Lauren is so determined to show her parents she can make it on her own and not live in her brothers shadows that she almost looses the most precious thing in her life but thankfully through their toils they find their way back to each other …
Before papers can be drawn up and signed they head to Vegas to be there for their friends /family when they get engaged and they agree to see what happens there for them as it holds special memories and again my heart just melts ….
This was a reminder how quickly things can go south and we need to make time for each other in our marriage and relationships , sometimes we get so busy trying to prove ourselves that we actually loose sight . I loved every page and boy did I cry but I also laughed and being part of these people is such a treat 🫶🏼 they have such supportive friends and family , they’re so loved 🥰

4.5 stars Afflicted Love is the first book in the Rhythm & Heart Series. I have read a lot of books by Autumn and there is not one that I have not liked. This is an M/M romance story that is full of emotions. It is raw and steamy and sexy as hell. I fell in love with these gorgeous characters. They both have tumultuous pasts and each are broken in their own way. This book tells the story of betrayal, heartbreak and love. With passion and lust, desires and longing, betrayal and pain, and secrets that may just tear them apart it makes for a compelling read. It will captivate you from the start to finish. The man he loves is can’t look at him without remembering the horrific events that cause him so much pain. But leaving is not an option. To find out what happens read Afflicted today!
3 stars Fiddle and Fire is a historical MMF romance tale. Never having read anything by this author before I was interested to see what she brought to the table. Only to realise that this is the second book in the series. I wished I read the first book first. I will be going back to read it. I love a good ménage but alas it was a little lacking in that department. I felt a little detached from the story and skipped my way through a lot of it. The narrative kept on changing which slowed me down as I had to reread some of it to realise who was speaking. The historical information is interesting and there is some humour to be found. Suzette de Massey has caught the eye of two best friends. Together they make a happy threesome. Unfortunately her past comes back to haunt her but everyone she cares for is in danger. All in all it is not a bad read and if you like historical romance with MMF characters as the lead then give this one a go.

Riley and Tristan, instant interest and attraction, but Tristan had a complication. Riley, a private investigator, finds herself being rescued not once but twice by Tristan. This story is really good. It has all of the emotions and suspense it needs in all the right places. Quick read and it will keep you turning the pages.

Short story with a big punch. Mystery and romance thrown together, giving you a steamy and suspenseful romance. Riley is a detective, and Tristan is the fire fighter who saves her. That one encounter is unforgettable for them both but one of them it’s not willing to give in. Each with baggage of their own, and Secrets along the way… it’s a short story that takes you for quite the ride.

Prepare to fall in love with Rowan and Chris. I enjoy fake dating tropes mixed with drama and mystery. There was so much to their story together, as much as individually. They come together unexpectedly, and each can’t ignore the pull they feel to each other. This was a great read. Chris is doing a favor for a friend, and Rowan is trying to keep her family business alive. Together they build an entanglement meant to last.

So this is a short but sweet story, it’s about Riley a private detective and Tristan who save Riley from a fire. There’s mystery, a touch of danger and of course the sweet romance. I really enjoyed reading the book. I do wish it was longer but I am still going to read the next book in the series.

I’m old enough to remember what a trip to the circus was like. The thrill and excitement as you sat it utter amazement watching the incredible performers do death defying stunts. The aerialists were always my favorite with the clowns being my LEAST favorite! All these feelings or intrigue and suspense came at me in full bloom as I read the story of Cassandra and Chandler.
So much angst and suspense to keep you reeling for days. And right at the end,,,,your heart drops with a cliffhanger! I hate cliffhangers only because I’m impatient as hell. But this will definitely keep me guessing on what the lies in store in the next book!

He’s my new obsession and the key to avenging my people. René is the only one who cares about the dead, because he knows deep loss. We’re kindred spirits. I’ll give him relief from his pain, and he’ll give me everything – including his life.
René
Three years of being steeped in death, booze, and pills have finally caught up with me. I think I might be cracking apart. Who is the otherworldly woman that visits me in the darkness? She’s the new addiction I can’t give up; and she’s left her mark on me – literally.
When I first saw him, I loved him. He became my everything, my true north. But both of us are broken. The trauma from our past is bigger than our love. He pushed me away when I needed him most. Our love was an affliction that I may never find the cure for.
“Every time I look at you, I remember what happened that night,” Lyle
I’m the reason why he almost died that night. If it wasn’t for…no, I’m too afraid to say it. The memory is too fresh. I’m not worthy of him. Perhaps I’m like my father, after all. Why do we hurt those we love the most? This affliction called love is painful and I’m the one who brings him the most pain, but I can’t stay away because he is my drug of choice.
Afflicted Love is the first book in the Rhythm & Heart Series, a M/M romance by dark contemporary romance author, Autumn Sand. If you like raw emotions, steamy sex scenes and gorgeous men, then this is the series for you.
Autumn Sand was born and raised in New York City. She’s always had an interest in writing from an early age, penning her first book when she was in the 4th grade. In 2015, she made the leap into the self-publishing world. With over 13 books published, she is excited to write many more. She enjoys hanging out with friends, reading a good book or listening to an audiobook and, of course, writing. She’s known for her sarcastic humor and caring nature. Her favorite drink of choice is a Jack Daniels and coke with a twist of lime.
In early San Francisco, women are scarce, and attitudes are accepting of just about anything. Amidst this laissez-faire lifestyle, Suzette de Massey blows into the city like wildfire. Isaac Stark and Walter James are instantly drawn to the talented French beauty. Opposite in many ways, the two of them have been the best of friends for years. They owe their lives to one another, and their mutual affection runs deep. Suzette is torn between Walter, whom she thinks is a gentleman, and Isaac, whom she takes to be a roughneck. She has a lot to learn, but she knows what excites her. Men. Together. Suzette kindles the fire that has smoldered between Isaac and Walter for years, and each of them together makes a combustible, passionate threesome. She is a woman with secrets. Unfortunately, when Suzette’s dark past reappears to haunt her, no one is safe. This romance, intended for mature readers, sizzles with passion and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

A meeting of eyes, with a spark of interest, in the coffee shop – exactly what Riley Scott and Tristan Cain have – yet neither of them act on it, each for their own reasons. Yet, as fate would have it, they would see each other again. And so begins their story.
This story was well written with well developed characters and detailed words building. I would recommend this book to others. It was a quick, enjoyable read.

Where Fire Meets Flame is the first book in the Yours From the Ashes series by Elena Kincaid. This is an engrossing contemporary romance, with suspense, mystery, action, danger, drama, intrigue, tension, emotion, twists, chemistry, and sizzle. This is a short story, but it packs the punch of a much longer novel. It has a fast pace, and I finished the book in one easy sitting. Riley is a strong independent and sassy private investigator. Tristan is a hunky firefighter who has a bit of an agenda. What happens when he comes to Riley’s rescue, more than once? Well, get set because the sparks fly, and things get heated- in more ways than one. Looking forward to the rest of the series… Happy Reading…

Dawnbreaker The House Of Blood and Sun By: Hadley Thorne Review by : Susan Ratchford 5 Stars
Wow! I absolutely loved this book! Connor and Niamh’s Story filled me with so much joy and excitement, Fae meets vampire! I really need there to be more. I couldn’t stop reading it! I absolutely loved the Irish heritage and culture mixed with the vampire and Fae worlds! So unique and whimsical I couldn’t have asked for more! The music that Thorne picked to include was perfect for the tone of Dawnbreaker! I was so overjoyed that she decided to add a personal playlist for the book at the end. It really helped make her world even more real to me. If you are a lover of fantasy romance this book is a must read! You will not be disappointed!

WOW. So, this book had a very spicy start to say the least. This is the first book I have read by the talented Elena Kincaid, and I am already looking into her other work and ready for book two in the Yours From The Ashes series. Where Fire Meets Flame is a dual perspective, told from Riley and Tristan’s sides. The book starts with Riley on a case into yet another cheating husband when she is suddenly hit from behind and memories of her car accident 6 months earlier lead into a flashback. Nine months earlier a chance encounter at her favorite coffee shop brings the two main characters together. Instant sparks on both sides but he has a complicated situation and doesn’t want the beautiful redhead caught in the cross hairs. Shannon, the living embodiment of evil if you will. Tristan had attempted to date her for about two months but his work schedule and the fact that there was no spark for him with her. After several instances he has no choice but to get a restraining order against Shannon, but she has a few loose screws and won’t let that stop her from getting near him. Riley and Tristan finally share their first kiss at a night club one night only for Shannon, or as Riley knows her the “grumpy brunette”, to appear. Suddenly, Riley was involved in a seven car pile up days later, and then Tristan is told she is dead. Returning to the present-day, Tristan is holding Riley in his arms trapped in a burning building, she’s alive and every terrible reality comes crashing down, Shannon is behind it all. Will Riley and Tristan get there happily ever after? Can the police catch Shannon in time? The world the author creates is one based in reality; I have known people in similar situations with a crazy ex. More important is the amazing characters, breaking stereotypes, a petite female that loves kickboxing, and an over six-foot-tall man not afraid to show emotions when overwhelmed. This was the perfect short Sunday read to finish off the month of April and I anxiously await the next installment in this series.

I have loved every book I’ve picked up from Elena Kincaid, this one included! Where Fire Meets Flame is the first book in the Yours From The Ashes series and it’s a quick but wonderful start. There is plenty of romance and steamy scenes throughout as well. You’ll devour this in one sitting because you can’t get enough of Tristan and Riley! Their chemistry is amazing, and the characters are quite in-depth for a shorter story. I love the protective vibe I get from Tristan too. I can’t wait for the next book already!

The second book of the series and was pretty good! I can’t decide which one i liked better but book two packed a punch. The push and pull was good. I can see that maybe some wouldn’t enjoy however I happened to really like the characters and the dynamic between them. It was an easy read, hard to put down and had the best twists. Great read! I’ll Love You Tomorrow is the 3rd book in the Trading Heartbeats trilogy. It can prob be read as a stand alone, but it is better enjoyed as a series. There is a lot of overlapping info from previous stories, and the rocky marriage of Mitch and Lauren started in previous books. There is also the ground work for who is who and background and relationships. I really enjoyed this series so I was excited to read the final book on the Templeton kids. The story was kind of what I expected but not exactly how I expected it. There are a lot of ups and downs, but overall I really loved it. The characters are all wonderful. I enjoy the closeness Lauren has with her brothers, as well as their wives. I really felt for Lauren in this book. She is in a hard place, having to choose between her dream and her dream man, and is struggling. I look forward to more from the author, in other series, as I think this one is wrapped up.

Her employees are being recruited by said new restaurant. Things seem to be going right for everyone else, why not her? What else could happen in her life? Will she be able to fix her marriage with Mitch?

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. This urban fantasy has great world building and the characters are well written, so it’s no wonder you quickly get sucked into the storyline! Niamh and Connor are from different worlds but quickly find a connection to each other. They are each figuring out what these new feelings mean when Niamh loses her memories. There are many twists, intrigue, and so much more. I really enjoyed reading this book and I hope others will too.

While I enjoyed the overall story, it felt a bit rushed or underdeveloped. The main character, Riley, supposedly is closed off to relationships, but after only spending a short amount of time with Tristan, she seems to open right up. Terry, Riley’s best friend, seemed like a fun and interesting character that barely received a cameo part in the story. The writing style, characters, and overall plot were good; the book just didn’t seem to reach its full potential. This one does have a decent amount of steamy scenes.

The drama and suspense with Cole and Riley was intoxicating. This is a series I could not put down and kept wanting more. I cannot wait to start another series by this author.
