This was a good 4 star read. I enjoyed this because it involves an older couple who find love when they least expect it. Juliet is a teacher and when Jim joins her class there is instant attraction. The class assignment is to read Romeo and Juliet, which gives Jim inspiration. I love Romeo and Juliet so I loved the quotes. There is so much that goes on in this read. We get a glimpse of the past so that we can understand the history. Both characters were great each in their own ways. There is a twist and Juliet is put in danger. Will Jim be able to help Juliet? Petty’s Crime: Satan-s Devils MC Las Vegas #3 (Satan’s Devils MC Las Vegas Chapter)
I have been a fan of this author and series for quite some time now. She has no problems writing about some uncomfortable subjects and doing it well and bringing some much needed attention which she did here. I won’t lie there were times it was difficult for me to read but it was worth it.
Petty hasn’t been likable in any of the previous books he has made an appearance in and we find out why. He probably went too far with it but as we get to know him better it all makes sense.
RoseLyn has enough to deal with her stalker but to have to deal with Petty and his grumpy self is additional stress she really doesn’t need or want no matter how easy on the eyes he is. We are still getting to know the Vegas guys and so far so good. This is a great book and one if my favorite series. As always I’m waiting impatiently to see which Devil falls next.

This was a quick and adorable story about second chances, full of action, and romance. Quinnlan has been chosen for a second chance at life, but with just 3 days, in a small town, his options are limited, and the opportunity for happily ever after is slim. Despite the shortness of the tale, the pacing was well set and the action well written. The heat between Quinnlan and Garrett is smoldering right from the start and just continues to get hotter. If you love paranormal stories with fast action and romance, this is a great story for you!

Petty’s Crime is the third book in the Satan’s Devils MC Las Vegas series. I really have enjoyed this series. This book does however touch on themes of domestic violence which may trigger some readers. The story follows Petty, who so far has been known for his brash nature in the MC. This book delves into his past as his (ex) wife Britney makes an unexpected return to his life. It also tells the story of RoseLyn, a Vegas singer who is being stalked by her abusive ex and needs the help of the MC. I loved how this story explores the theme of female against male DV, which is something that is rarely found especially in the masculine world of an MC. Highly recommend.

Every 10 years, the gods choose a being in purgatory to have a second chance, with stipulations of course. You have 3 days to find your mate. Quinnlan is the chosen one this time. He is dropped off in an abandoned motel in a small town with very little hopes to succeed his mission.
Quinnlan scopes out the town at night to find some potential mates when he spots a guy leaving town with wolf shifters trailing him. He decides to follow further to investigate and finds the guy beaten on the ground. He has a choice, continue his mission or save this random guy.
I absolutely love this author. Everything they write is so unique and different making it right up my alley. The author also has a lot of LGBTQ friendly stories, including this one which is an added bonus. This story was a little bit different from their others as they broke the 4th wall a few times which was amusing on its own. I give this book 5/5! Can’t wait for the next story!

Finding Bryce was not your normal military romance. I enjoyed it despite feeling it was a little rushed. The author still put a good story on the page. With a slightly dark theme of an abusive spouse, this book has a little of everything. Dark, fun, playful, and serious. Pippa ran away from an abusive ex-husband to start her life over. Navigating life in fear is not what she envisioned for herself. However her ex could find her at any time. Diesel is a Navy Seal who is currently stateside waiting to be called for his next mission. Him and his team decide to go to a Halloween masquerade, which is perfect anonymity being he just broke up with someone. He never imagined that this party would lead to the girl of his dreams. Convinced by her new friend/co-worker Pippa decides this party would be the best way to have fun. No one could see her face so it’s the perfect disguise. It’s been a while so she just lays low and scans the room, till a Gladiator walks in she’s drawn too. Does she go after him? Of course, but she never gives him her name nor takes his. Will they ever come in contact again? Does Pippa’ s ex-husband find her? How well does Pippa deal with the unexpected? I don’t feel Pippa had much character growth from beginning till end, maybe if it went longer who knows. Diesel did have some character development, that was nice to see. Who’s Bryce you may ask? I was wondering the same thing at the beginning. You are just going to have to read to find out.

In this book we get Petty’s story. We have met Petty a few times before and he’s not the must pleasant of characters. On fact he’s a huge **** which is purely down to the amazing character writing of this author. I just knew that there would be so much more to Petty than previously met the eye. Can I just say that Petty’s story tied me up in knots. I cried so much for him. My heart truly broke for him. I love that the author is so brave and handles so many difficult and contentious subjects that other authors would never go near. Not giving any spoiler but I’ll say that it will totally tug at the heartstrings. I adored RoseLyn and she is just the perfect woman to give Petty his redemption and let us see the true Petty he’d managed to keep hidden for so long. She’s sassy but has a heart of gold and it’s filled with so much compassion. You don’t get as much of the hot biker sex in this book but I didn’t miss it in the slightest as there was so much else going on that had me totally gripped. Worth more than the 5 stars I’m allowed to give it.

Overall, this was a pretty good book. The story is short, which can lead to gaps that make you wonder, but the pacing is very quick. When Pippa meets a man at a Halloween party, she decides to act out of character for herself, and has a one night stand with him. When she discovers she’s pregnant, she has no way to find him as they chose to not exchange any information. She has the baby and raises him by herself for the first two years of his life until her one time lovers father happens across the pair in a local park and realizes that the little boy looks like his son. Tanner’s father tells him of his suspicions, and the pair try to find out more information about Pippa and her son, Bryce. Just as they think they have enough information to possibly consider Tanner approaching Pippa about the little boy, Pippa’s ex-husband kidnaps her and her son. Tanner, along with his other navy SEAL teammates, works to get Pippa and Bryce back.

I was invested in Pippa, Diesel and the rest of the SEAL team from the start of the first page. This novella was well written, gave you all the information you could want, had good descriptions as well as a good storyline! My literal only complaint is that it was a novella and not a novel – it was so good I’d love to see this fleshed out more!
Pippa is a finally single woman who escaped from her violent ex husband and moved several states away. He ended up using his violent tendencies on a man in a bar and was put away for a few years and Pippa was finally feeling free. To celebrate, she dressed as a sexy fairy to attend a Halloween costume party with her friend Cheryl and honestly, she is hoping for a fling.
And boy, did she get a fling in the form of Diesel, one of the VERY hot SEAL team members home on a break from missions for a short period. Once she spies him in his gladiator costume, she couldn’t peel her eyes away. Feeling her drink-induced courage, she approaches Diesel and asks for his company – they find that they have incredible chemistry, are both instensely attracted to one another, and decide to go for a one night stand. Pippa was very careful not to let any identifying characteristics slip, even though Diesel tried.
Next thing you know, Pippa has a 2 year old named Bryce that is the spitting image of Diesel – but they never gave each other any contact information, so she is raising him alone. Once her ex is released from prison, his obsession with her grows stronger – but now she has a child to protect. Will fate bring Pippa and Diesel back together? Will she get away from Stan and keep her baby boy safe?
This is an incredibly quick read that will keep you invested from the first page to the last, and cheering for the hero and the little family involved. Highly recommend. Looking forward to checking out the rest of the SEAL teams stories!

Hot for Teacher was good, but it caught me off guard. Student/teacher romances are a guilty pleasure for me. So when I decided to read this book I went strictly from the title and didn’t read the summary. It was different then other student/teacher romances I’ve read in the past. The author did a wonderful job pulling it together. The main female character frustrated me some and I wasn’t a fan of how the main male character’s intelligence was projected but besides that I enjoyed it. Juliet is a literature teacher at the local college and one of those classes she teaches is a night class. (Anyone who has taken a night class knows the age range of the students is all over the place.) Little did she suspect a man would catch her eye. One who wasn’t a typical student, but a man who is seasoned. James went back to school at the urging of his adult sons. Taking a night literature class, since he has his business to run during the day. Never did he expect to be attracted to his teacher. His first assignment is to read the first so many pages of Romeo & Juliet. He promises her he intends to read the whole thing. This story is their roller coaster of interaction. Juliet’s stubbornness, especially while James tries to court her. Using Romeo and Juliet for inspiration, they quote different passages to each other. Does James win the lady? What happens when Juliet’s life is in danger, does James come to her rescue? There’s also a conclusion that almost made me sad/mad. All was right in the end. It’s a Student/Teacher romance though different is worth picking up.

Hands down one of my favorite authors that brings me another 5 star fabulous story. I loved every bit of this MM Paranormal Romance that had vampires, werewolves, magic and sizzle.
What does truly happen when you only have 3 days to find a mate or head straight back to purgatory? Quinnlan finds out as he is chosen by the Gods to find a mate….and Quinnlan find that mate in Garrett. The hardest part is Garrett accepting the mating fate….as Quinnlan protects what is his and to keep Garrett safe as his mate, will Garrett be in the reciprocating end? Definitely read and find out?
This book is phenomenal…the writing, storytelling and the creativity that Naomi has in each of her books including this one, is fantastic. This story flowed so easily and it was so enjoyable. I love every bit of this book and I highly recommend this read.

Be prepared for this funny romantic suspense story. Jenna has left her boyfriend and has decided to try out a different bar. Back story is Jenna has money and all of her previous boyfriends just want her money. Including Steve, her last one. Although he kept bugging her to add his name to her bank account. He hit the red flag and she was over him.Andy is minding his own business when a girl walks in and puts an envelope in his lap. Shocked, he tried to catch up with her, but she was gone. In that envelope he found a few thousand dollars and a note. That’s it, no spoilers. This is one you will need to read to believe it. This author has done it once again. Kept me up all night reading her book. But so worth the adventure, intrigue and suspense. The story is well written and fast paced. She got me on page two and I was off. Her main characters are just plain everyday people caught up in the kidnapping. I have read books from this author and never second guess buying her books. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. The Perfect Mrs. Claus is a great Christmas time read. It does show that the second Halloween is over with Christmas starts coming into the stores.
Matthew is the director of the holiday sections at a local hardware store. He sees a woman who could be the perfect fit for Mrs. Claus. When he goes to introduce himself he falls on her. The quote I chose for Matthew is: “Oh, it’s not a pickup line or anything like that. It’s a proposal, a job proposal I have for you, if you are interested, and I hope you are.”
Savannah has been to the hardware store several times. From her childhood to that of her son’s childhood. With her son living somewhere else and her husband dead she finds that she’s in a rut. The quote I chose for Savannah is: “Mr. Buck, I’m a woman in my early fifties, and I have no problem letting the world know that’s what I am. Age is a gift not given to many, or something like that. I don’t look back and wish I was younger. I look forward to everything that’s yet to come—my son getting married, giving me a grandchild or two, and retiring to my namesake city. Juliet is a woman very passionate about her job as a teacher who while teaching a class about Romeo and Juliet meets an older student James (Jim) who is as good looking as he is infuriating! He is extremely attracted to her and is determined to break down the walls surrounding her heart to prove he can be the man for her. I will be completely honest with you and say that when I first starting reading this book I wasn’t sure 100% sure about these characters especially Jim and it took me a little while to connect with them but I am very happy that I kept reading! As I read more and more, the characters and storyline developed and so did my enjoyment of this book!

This is an incredible story with wonderful writing. Our FMC is a professional piano player and finds herself thrown back into Nazi occupied France during WW II. There she meets her HEA and is pulled into helping the resistance. The action and romance that ensues keeps you reading all through the night! Great book!
November 4, 2022 I loved Devlin and Eve’s banter and most of their relationship, but I just cannot stand the miscommunication trope anymore. It makes it SO frustrating when the characters just REFUSE to talk to each other. I mean I get it, it’s hard to be vulnerable and honest, but I just felt like it was overly repetitive and then it somehow also felt really rushed. The writing itself was….there was just more to be desired. But it was an entertaining book so that’s why I gave it the stars. I loved the overall plot and the twists, it just felt like it took forever to get there. And I absolutely LOVED the spicy scenes!

Soliloquy by Janet Fogg. I loved this book so much that I read it all in one sitting. I stayed up way to late flipping pages but it was that good. The book revolved around time travel, historical fiction and romance. Its about Erin who is swept back to war torn France where she protects members of the Resistance by ghost writing music for a German Officer. When Erin helps rescue a British pilot named Arick and falls in love with him it makes things super complicated. She also recognizes him from the original time period she came from. On top of all this the German Officer is wanting a lot more from Erin than she is willing to give. Will she be able to go thru with it if necessary? Will she be able to continue ghost writing for the resistance or will she be caught. This is a romance full of mystery and danger. Risking her own life to save Arick you know their love transcends time but will they survive to enjoy their time together? This read is so full of all kinds of elements and the writing was so amazing I felt as if I was in war torn France with the Nazis. Do yourself a favor and read this amazing book!
This one click wonder that I found on Kindle Unlimited is a new to me author and not usually a preferred genre but oh my am I glad that I picked this one. Erin and Arick’s story will find you traveling to the past and the story is just so so good. You will be drawn in and just find yourself turning pages until all hours of the night with the thoughts of “just one more chapter”. The characters are so memorable.

This book was eloquently written. The definition of soliloquy is “speaking one’s thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers,” and Erin speaks through song. She is given a treasure for her 30th birthday that leads her on a time traveling adventure. Beautiful from the first note.
I must say this has to be one of my favorite books I have read this year! Soliloquy mixes in time-travel, romance, and drama to create a masterpiece. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. Janet Fogg is an amazing author!
Erin Meyer is a wonderful pianist who is suddenly thrown back to the time of World War II. After understandable confusion, she realizes what is happening and begins helping the Resistance. She also runs into someone who felt familiar from her future, and the author ties this in magically.
I meant to read just a few chapters a day, but once I started reading, I was immediately engrossed in the story and finished it quickly. I highly recommend this book!
Another enjoyable novel in this series about a group of Freemasons, and this story focuses on Declan Burkhard and Renee Cadmon, in this brother’s best friend romance. Renee was kidnapped and her innocence was stolen when she was sold to the highest bidder. Having been rescued from that horror, she has been trying to reclaim her life but it’s harder than she imagined. Her brother’s best friend Declan has been her rock, but strictly as a friend, although before she was taken she had hoped they could become more. Renee doesn’t think that Declan would be interested in her “broken and tainted soul”. However, Declan has always had feelings for Renee, he just didn’t act on them because she’s his best friends sister, and then she was taken.
Declan knows that she doesn’t think she’s “worthy of being loved”, but he wants to show her that’s not true. Declan is just happy to be apart of her life as she gets used to her freedom and will do anything to protect her, even if it means burying his desires. Renee is put in danger yet again when the person who orchestrated her abduction returns, but Declan is determined to eliminate the threat for good. I felt completely immersed in this story and engaged with the characters, as the descriptive narrative brings both the setting and characters vividly to life. The storyline does deal with some unsettling themes, but does so sensitively and in context with the story. I was hooked from start to finish and was kept happily turning the pages late into the night!

This book was a quick read. I did like the character Juliet but I had a really hard time with Jim. I struggled with him calling her “Miss Teacher Lady” and the strong emphasis of him needing more culture by way of his speaking. I appreciated that she was a teacher and he was an ex-Marine in construction as that is something I can connect with. I just had a difficult time connecting with their particular love story. Overall, it was a cute book.

This book is easily my favourite one in the series so far. I loved everything about it – the story, the characters. It has some deep topics that are addressed, which could be triggers for some people. It’s makes the book that much more complex and really pulled me into the story. I thought the author handled the story well. She has a great way of tackling rough topics while creating an enjoyable story. I loved this book and cannot wait to read more from this author.

This novel was the perfect combination of romance, historical fiction, and time-travel. I was pleasantly surprised at how well Fogg was able to meld these three genres together without any of them overpowering the others. We follow Erin, our main character, as she navigates through the twists and turns of World War II France and her attraction to Arick. Fogg’s ability to maneuver her audience through the ins and outs of the past and present all while maintaining the intricacies of a historical fiction is absolutely amazing. Her character and plot development is astounding and her descriptions are stunningly vivid and eloquent. This was definitely a read I didn’t know I was looking for. I highly recommend this novel! I’m looking forward to reading another one of Janet Fogg’s books.
The narrative of this book was engaging and felt different than others I’ve read in this genre. I enjoyed the characters in the book. The piano and music aspect was a highlight for me. The time transport of the main character was creative as well. I would read more by this author.

This is the 4th, and final (sob sob) book ina fantastic series that I will definitely read over again. One thing I’d like to add is that, in my humble opinion, the author saved the best till last. This is definitely my favourite book in the series. This one totally tugged at my heartstrings and dragged me through so many emotions. Declan and Renee’s story is heart-breaking yet joyous at the same time. Just knowing what Renee has gone through in the past and how it must be so hard for her to adjust to her new life makes her one of the strongest female characters that I’ve read. And what can I say about Declan? Well, he’s just perfect for her. His, love and compassion shine through and totally melt your heart. I loved reading Declan and Renee’s story, It was difficult to read in parts but all worth the angst in the end. I also loved getting glimpses into the other 3 couples lives and seeing how their relationships are progressing. This is a great book and I’d definitely recommend it, (and the three books that come before it).

Hot for Teacher: Shakespeare made us fall in love By: Felicia Carparelli
I want to start out that this book was not at all what I thought it was going to be. This is so much more than two adults engaged in a consensual relationship story. And it doesn’t need a trigger warning, which definitely is something I am so glad for. This book was absolutely amazing. I could not put it down! It is a take on a modern day version of Romeo and Juliet. Juliet is a divorced, grandmother who has a self-imposed vow of celibacy. Jim is a widow and is headed back to college to start to soften some rough edges. Juliet is his teacher. I loved this story. Juliet is very reserved and quiet, afraid of this romance. While Jim is so involved and passionate right from the start. I loved that this is was a second chance romance book. Both of them deserved love and they found it. I also love that the story was told from both characters. Finally, there was an added twist of Juliet being in danger from another former student. I truly loved this story.

An enjoyable and engaging historical romance with a time travelling twist, which makes this an unforgettable and original story. The blurb says that it is a tale of heroes, passion, hope and the “consequences of creating extraordinary music amidst the dark nights of war”, and the story does not disappoint! Concert pianist and composer Erin Meyer is swept back in time to Nazi-held France, where she protects the members of the Resistance by ghost-writing music for a very influential German officer. Erin rescues a British pilot, Arick and helps him evade capture, but impossibly she recognises him from her own life and time. Not only is Erin and Arick’s attraction dangerous for them both, but the German officer holding the key to Erin’s return demands more than she is willing to give. She soon finds herself caught up in betrayal and death, performing for her life, as time runs out.
The unique storyline had me hooked from start to finish, and the twists and turns in the plot kept me gripped. I literally could not put this book down, and I felt completely immersed in the story and engaged with the characters. The detailed and descriptive narrative brought both the setting and characters vividly to life. The added historical details made it feel as though I had been transported back in time, and the author has obviously done her research. The characters are so well defined and the chemistry between Erin and Arick really comes across in the story. A definite five star novel, and I am thrilled to have discovered a new author, for me.
