The Lie that Binds by Amy Argent was honestly so good. At first I won’t lie it took me a few chapters to be okay with a high school romance because of the age and things that happened but the characters were easily likable. It also totally made me think of my own high school love. Holly is the new girl in town and tries to fit in with the popular kids but it doesn’t go as planned. Nathan IS the popular kid, the jerk because he has to be, because he has secret to hide from basically everyone in his life. But Holly finds out by mistake… and Nathan is forced to make a huge decision. Let her tell the school or pretend to like her to keep her quiet. I loved the story line, it was different, quick and easy to read. It was a perfect story with the natural ebb and flow of young love. I’d love to read about Holly and Nathan’s friends, most especially the Gothlet – which I cracked up at every single time!!

This book is a standalone contemporary romance with a little bit of suspense. I couldn’t put this book down! It was a quick read but oh so good.
Mia and Dylan have quite the chemistry. I don’t want to say too much and give anything away but this book is definitely worth a read! It’s got everything. Hot chemistry, angst, and suspense. There’s quite a few twists you don’t expect. I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend!

This is the fourth book in the series. This book, as with the others in the series, can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed Skylar’s story.
Skylar recently had a baby. She’s been on her own taking care of Gabriella but feels bad about shutting her sisters out so she travels to spend the rest of her maternity leave with them. She’s kept Gabriella’s father a secret this whole time. Running the summer camp with her sisters sounds just like what Skylar needs as she tries to maneuver motherhood. Nick runs a bowling alley and couldn’t be more thrilled to see Skylar walk in. He hasn’t seen her since they hooked up about a year ago. Skylar and Nick reconnecting brings up secrets from the past. Can these two face the challenges that will come their way?
Skylar is so independent and strong. She knows what she wants and she’ll figure out how to get it. I also enjoyed that in this book, Skylar is the one in the military. Guys are always portrayed as military so it was a nice change. Nick has his flaws, but doesn’t everyone. I really enjoyed these characters. The story was well written and the characters were genuine.

Let It Be Love is a small-town contemporary romance story. ND is known to give us wonderful, sweet and captivating reads and this new book fits right in. Her easy-to-read stories feel real with their simplistic narrative. Wonderful and fun past and present characters and the fellowship of a supporting quaint little town endear this book to anyone.
Eric and Kiki’s love story has a lot going against them but the heart wants what the heart wants. He is a small-town man and she is a pop princess.
ND certainly puts them through the wringer as they try to wade through the mountainous pile of trying to have a relationship out of the spot light.
BUT will love win out or will fame, gossip, a crazy agent and paparazzi prove to be too much?
I really enjoy her work and I look forward to more from ND. Grab a copy and indulge in a few hours of self-time.

This story had everything my heart needed. I absolutely loved how rugged, tense, and hard Levi was and loved even more the other side you got to see of him. This author did a brilliant job of showing you just a hint of PTSD. She kept it light but it was also so powerful that it had tears streaming down my face.
Bella comes off as a rich, posh, snobby woman who you soon learn is good at living with a façade. Her interactions with Allie will melt your heart and give you a glimpse of who she really is.
Elijah and Amos add to the fun. I fully enjoyed watching the three brothers interaction and could see how it related to so many other sibling relationships. I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit which just made this book even more enjoyable.
This book had so much romance in all the right places as well as action and suspense. The author did a brilliant job of writing a clean romance book with a suspense twist. The story I would classify as both a cowboy/western clean romance and a clean romantic suspense story. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and I was not let down by my first Edith Mackenzie book that I’ve ever read. This author reminds me a lot of Bernadette Marie and Jill Sanders which is saying a lot. I highly recommend that you run out and pick up this book as you will not be disappointed at all.

I loved the level of detail in this book! Antipodes is a post-apocalyptic novel about a select group of people who have been isolated from the effects of a global pandemic that threatens to eliminate life on Earth. The main character, Cam, struggles with how he fits into society and all of the differences in living under the dome. You can tell that Simons put a lot of thought into making sure that all of the readers’ questions would be answered because this novel has a phenomenal amount of world building. This story set up the sequel in a way that made me want to pick it up right away!

Again, this book did not disappoint. Nurse Morgan is a lovable character as are her ghostly live in roommates. This 2nd book to the series began where the first book left off. Nurse Morgan continues to get more used to her new psychic abilities. She meets some new ghostly figures at the hospital and encounters a mean Esmeralda! Esmeralda proves to be a foe who wants Dr. Caleb – who Nurse Morgan is starting to enjoy time with. Even the Wilkersons do not like Esmeralda’s presence. I loved reading book two to find out how Nurse Morgan’s character grew and how her friendships with both the living and the otherworldly progressed. I enjoyed the historical spin on the nurses in the hospital and finding out about how there can be a time warp where the ghosts can just live in an endless loop.

I don’t read a lot of books with high school characters because I tend to get caught up in feeling they’re too immature, flat or even annoying. I decided to pick up the The Lie That Binds because I’ve read and enjoyed books by this author in the past and wanted to give it a fair try. It took me a while to get into the storyline because I was confused by all the characters and keeping them straight was hard. As the storyline picked up, I was definitely more invested. I didn’t connect to the main characters as much as I hoped I would, but that could have been my personal issue vs the characters themselves. My favorite thing about the book was how the chapters begin with a quote, just as unique to me as finding a book that still names the chapters! Overall, it was a good read with the emotional rollercoaster I have gone to expect from this author.
I absolutely loved Truth or Kill! I love that it was based on an urban legend. I also love that there’s a whole urban legend series that I’m now going to have to love into. Going into it I initially expected something different, than what it actually was. It was surprisingly refreshing actually. The author brings together two lost and broken souls that don’t really belong among the rest. Invited to a spring break retreat by her teammate, Sydney has no idea what she’s walking into. Expecting a calm week on a lake in a canoe, what else would she do going up to a cabin. Instead she’s presented with a palace in the woods, without a canoe in sight, oh and a bunch of rich heirs and heiresses. She knows she doesn’t belong and can’t even imagine the game that she’s going to be stuck playing. What or should I say who catches her off guard is Kage. He’s extremely unexpected, but a very welcome distraction. Kage, why does it have to be this angel? Hoping things go to plan this week, maybe he can spare her. She’s also exactly the person who could unravel their plans as well. Little does he know she’s as twisted and broken as he is. An unexpected kindred spirit. Will she be an issue? Can she be trusted? Kage thinks so, but his brothers are a different story. Does Sydney prove her worth? So many questions and so many answers, in this twisted dark romance. Again I will say I loved it!

I really enjoyed this story. It is a great mixture of romance and danger. The story is thrilling as we journey with Aimee and Qadir. I loved their characters. Aimee is such a strong independent woman. She’s had a tough life which has lead her to where she is and the person she is today. So pleased that she remains a strong character that isn’t afraid to speak her mind and be herself. Qadir is a powerful guy and has such he isn’t used to people confronting him or going against his wishes, however when he meets Aimee he gets that and a whole lot more. Aimee will challenge him in ways he has never experienced before and he will allow her to do just that. They meet when Aimee saves his life. And once the meet Qadir is certain he won’t let her go. But that’s when things change. Aimee escapes and leaves but what she doesn’t realise is that she now becomes a target. Can this couple work through their life differences and find common ground? Can they save each other from the constant threats to their lives? With the distrust and danger do they stand any chance of being together or will the difference in their lifestyle and worlds but too much for them to overcome.

Castor’s Kiss is a great science fiction romance about two people that find each other. Mia Grey has been tortured and watched someone close to her die. Castor has forced himself not to have a soulmate because his family didn’t believe in things like that. They meet and their attraction is instant the second they lock eyes. This book has action, drama and romance. Mia and Castor get into battle with other people that are enemies. The fight scenes are great and detailed, letting me picture what the conflicts are in my head. The author does a great job with world building by creating futuristic planets for the book and different characters that are unique for the story. I recommend anyone who loves sci-fi and enjoys romance to read Castor’s Kiss. This book is a great example of true love and how there is someone out there for everyone. Reviewed by @cw31

This was a fun and entertaining read. I had not read the first novel but the cover for both caught my attention.
I loved the characters and Morgan. My best friend is a nurse so reading this gave me a bit of an insight into what her days are like as well as others who work in a hospital.
So far, I saw there were only two novels in the series so far. I hope the author decides to write more.

This one is intriguing. It’s in the realm of The Scorch Trials, Fifth Wave, and the Divergent series. Those are the immediate stories that pop into my head as I read this book. Following the main character through the seeming normal morning to something that is beyond grasp, his feelings and emotions are relatable and easy to understand.
Post-Covid, reading something like this is fascinating. Going through something like this would be scary for anyone. Having to choose whether to work harder than you ever have before to save the species or to stay with your family? I’m not sure what my answer would be. But knowing my vulnerabilities, I can empathize with Campbell’s sister, Sorcha. She’s brilliant and intelligent, but he was the one chosen to go. Like having to see someone off to war, knowing you may, or won’t ever see someone again, it takes a deep emotional toll on a person. Especially someone who thinks of everyone else before themselves.
I absolutely love the description of Campbell’s mom. The fiery, five foot woman, who no one wants to trifle with. I couldn’t help but giggle in that moment because I’ve met women like that before and am one myself. Her strength is amazing.
Watching Freyja and Campbell’s relationship grow through the book is such a cool thing. It’s more than just about sex between these two, you can really tell that they truly care about each other. One is more emotional than the other, the other being more logical. It’s just amazing to see how the communities grow and thrive after such hardships and come out working hard as a group to make life worth living together.
The author does an amazing job when it comes to the scientific descriptions of everything and the fact that mental health is talked about too just made it more real for me. Like Campbell’s anxiety, and then, the grief along the way of all of those who were chosen, and those who left loved ones behind felt real and tangible like you were really there.
This story is so cool. There are things all over the book that help you learn so much. I didn’t even know what antipodes were, but man… I feel like I’m learning a lot from this.
Not only is this book an amazing read when it comes to the characters, but the scenery is gorgeous, and the amount of scientific and philosophical knowledge that the author incorporates is fantastic. I found myself in awe about the things I didn’t know that I learned from this book.

Desiree is hunting the remaining vampires with some help from Theron. Jacob is a vampire that wants to find a way to hunt without killing. I could not put this book down. The setting of New Orleans makes this all the more reason to read this. I’ve never been there but I am adding New Orleans on my places to visit list. I love reading books that make me want to travel. The author did not disappoint. I hope we get novels in this series. The covers are so beautiful and alluring that it entices one pick it up. I love supernatural elements and this novel has so much of it. Such an enticing novel.

If you are interested into diving into the 1480’s, this book is for you. Not only is there arranged marriages and tension woven throughout the novel, there’s real historical details you can find present throughout. The character development between Isabel and William is beautiful, as they come together as a couple. 100% worth the time to read and get to know this old world.

Toni Aleo is one of the reigning queens of hockey romance, and she lives up to all of the hype and wonderful reviews she gets from her readers. I’m so glad I discovered her several years ago.
Now, it’s Evan and Callie’s turn to share their story with us, and what a beautiful story it is. Evan has come home to Nashville after retiring from the NHL. He is taking the time to focus on his mental health. Now, he finds himself surrounded by women gymnasts instead of hockey players. He has just begun his job as the athletic trainer for the gymnastics team. Callie and Evan’s paths have crossed before, as Callie’s sister is married to a hockey player, but they have never really had the opportunity to get to know each other.
When Callie sees him jogging one day with the hockey team, she decides she is going to take her chance with him. Her lust soon turns to something deeper when she discovers that he is struggling with feelings of worthlessness and being a failure. Both of them are soon on the path to finding out what true love really is and how it can truly save you…hence the perfect title of this book, Saved by Love!
I admired both Callie and Evan. I could totally relate to both of them. Evan feels like a failure for leaving the NHL because of his family’s legacy in the sport. He feels as if he is letting them down, especially his father. Who hasn’t felt at times that we have disappointed those we love? I know I have felt that way myself, even though I may not have. It was the same for Evan. I admired his tenacity and his focus on his mental health and his commitment to ridding himself of those feelings of worthlessness and failure.
While Cassie wants to make everyone she is around to feel the love and support that she has from her sister and brother-in-law, she still struggles with trust because of her family’s past issues. She hasn’t been able to let someone in to share those deep feelings of uncertainty and fear. Somehow, Evan is able to do just that!
While I loved the characters, both the main characters and secondary ones, I loved the story even more. Aleo always dives deeply underneath the surface and tackles important issues which make both the characters and story more realistic and relatable. Aleo never disappoints and that is what puts her on top of my list of favorite writers.

Suspense at its finest! Arley is on the run and she has information the cartel is after. They will stop at nothing. Kill along the way if they have too. This author has really pulled out all the stops in this story. I was sucked in on page one and could not put the book down. There is Suspense, Danger and some pretty Steamy scenes. The story will keep you entertained and pull out all of your feelings. Want a story to settle your head on anything else going on. Just for a while that is. What an intriguing romance. Coming in with baggage, Marina and Dan have a challenge ahead. Having had a hard time finding a good man, is this the oe for here? Really good book that grabbed me from the start. I found the plot went smooth with a few twists. A little steam is always a treat. The characters are well developed . Marina is very easy to relate to. A contemporary romance for a weekend read.

I think she’s a breath of fresh air for many but so much more for Quadir ❣️😉 she’s sees the man not for what he can do for her ……
When I started this I wasn’t sure what to expect but what I got was absolute brilliance ! There was steam , there was laughter , there was fear and suspense !
I tried to summarise it as Pretty woman meets GI Jane meets Cinderella .
All is not what it seems , r there’s so much more to these people than meets the eye .

Nurse Morgan, as we learned in book 1, is an emergency nurse who had an accident. This accident brought on paranormal abilities and ghosts into her life. Her break from work to recover gave her time to adjust, but it was hard going back to the emergency unit with ghosts following her around. A handsome new doctor as a coworker helped make things a little easier.
While it was very disconcerting at first, Morgan has begun to adjust and appreciate her new talents, as long as they stick to the rules established. She also adjusted to and appreciates her new relationship. Once things settle in, life is pretty great for Morgan – until a new ghost decides she wants what Morgan has. How will this end up?
Book 1 set the bar pretty high for this fun, paranormal romance series. Morgan’s internal dialogue is fun and relatable, there’s both humor and romance as well as a touch of suspense. Great fun summer read!

This contemporary romance has to be one of the best romances I have read this year. While I have not read the other books in this series trust me when I say that I will be reading them and hoping that they are as good as Nick and Skylars story. Full of fantastic characters, a great story, romance and more you wont want to put this story down.

Kiss A Thief is another wonderful steamy standalone contemporary romance by Marina. I am always completely captivated by her stories. It is a quick read, but it has everything that makes your heart flutter. With her loveable characters, sizzling chemistry, a little sass and lots of angst, a few intense moments, a touch of suspense and you can’t put this book down. I also love her wicked sense of humour which she entwines effortlessly.
Liar – Con Artist – Swindler – but watch the sparks fly and the fun begins.
Marina knows just what to give her readers and sticks with what works and trust me it works.

This book kept me turning the pages! Evan Adler has recently medically retired from the NHL and recently became and athletic trainer for a women’s gymnastics team. His whole family has been involved in hockey on one form or another and he feels as though he let them all down. Callie Pearce knows a thing or two about hockey, but her heart lies in gymnastics. When she sees Evan running by with the hockey team one day she calls dibs and decides to take her shot. Will they find love and happiness together? I feel it was admirable of Eva though, even of he is a fictional character, to step away from what he loved for his mental health. It is a serious subject that doesn’t get as much attention as it should, but has been coming to light more often. The author did a great job and now I need to go find the rest of the books in the series.

Let It Be Love is the fifth book in the Mustang Prairie series by N.D Jackson. It is a wonderfully sweet and captivating small town contemporary romance. What can I say except that I love this series and it only seems to get better with each new release. I love that we get to know all the characters, I feel like we’re part of the community of Mustang Prairie. I love that even though each new book focuses on one particular couple, we still get to interact and catch up with the other recurring characters in the series. They each play a part in making this series so great. I also love how they develop and grow over the course of the story/series too. This is Eric and Kiki’s story…. And what a sweet story it is. That’s not to say that everything was smooth sailing, because it wasn’t. These two definitely had to work through some issues, some of which are not exactly ‘normal’. As Kiki is a well-known pop-star she brings her own pressures to the relationship. Things that a normal relationship may not have to overcome- like dealing with fame, agents, intrusive paparazzi, or the gossip mill… as well as anxiety and insecurities. These two will have to navigate their way through some serious issues if they have any chance of finding happiness and a future together. I look forward to seeing what this talented author produces next. Happy Reading!

I really enjoyed this book, my favorite person being Gabriella but I also really liked Nick and Skylar and two places near and dear to me were mentioned. Virginia is where I was born and raised and Austin which is home now.
Some of my favorite parts of the book involve spoilers I can’t go too much into it, but watching the relationship between Skylar and Nick grow and change as each challenge is thrown their way was very heartwarming to me.
I always get a little too invested when it’s a group of friends that I really like and that is what has happened. I love these girls and their friendship and love for one another. I’m lucky enough to have a similar relationship two friends, but we aren’t a trio.
I really hope these ladies pop up again in a different series mostly because I’m nosey and want to know what happens next.

Living in a military community and being a military ex-wife this book I could relate to and understand since I am now a single mother of 4. Sky is an incredibly independent woman and just wants to do what’s best for her baby. Nick is a generous man who still has a childish streak but don’t we all, it’s what keeps us young. I loved reading this book not only because I could relate to the characters but because Sky’s family wasn’t blood, they were her sisters and I admire that! I loved the communication and honesty no matter how hard it was between her and nick. All the passion as well and how they were instantly drawn to one another and I could just visualize them and no, they did not match the cover of the book. The ending took me for a turn though when he was surprised and with his condition, I thought the book was going to take a turn. I would love to read a sequel of this or the ones around it.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this clean, wholesome romance. I became very attached to all of the characters- Bella/Beccy, Levi, Amos, Elijiah and “Squirt”. This is the first of three books about the triplet brothers of Creekside Ranch and I can’t wait to read the other two as they are released.

Toni Aleo is one of the reigning queens of hockey romance, and she lives up to all of the hype and wonderful reviews she gets from her readers. I’m so glad I discovered her several years ago.
Now, it’s Evan and Callie’s turn to share their story with us, and what a beautiful story it is. Evan has come home to Nashville after retiring from the NHL. He is taking the time to focus on his mental health. Now, he finds himself surrounded by women gymnasts instead of hockey players. He has just begun his job as the athletic trainer for the gymnastics team. Callie and Evan’s paths have crossed before, as Callie’s sister is married to a hockey player, but they have never really had the opportunity to get to know each other.
When Callie sees him jogging one day with the hockey team, she decides she is going to take her chance with him. Her lust soon turns to something deeper when she discovers that he is struggling with feelings of worthlessness and being a failure. Both of them are soon on the path to finding out what true love really is and how it can truly save you…hence the perfect title of this book, Saved by Love!
I admired both Callie and Evan. I could totally relate to both of them. Evan feels like a failure for leaving the NHL because of his family’s legacy in the sport. He feels as if he is letting them down, especially his father. Who hasn’t felt at times that we have disappointed those we love? I know I have felt that way myself, even though I may not have. It was the same for Evan. I admired his tenacity and his focus on his mental health and his commitment to ridding himself of those feelings of worthlessness and failure.
While Cassie wants to make everyone she is around to feel the love and support that she has from her sister and brother-in-law, she still struggles with trust because of her family’s past issues. She hasn’t been able to let someone in to share those deep feelings of uncertainty and fear. Somehow, Evan is able to do just that!
While I loved the characters, both the main characters and secondary ones, I loved the story even more. Aleo always dives deeply underneath the surface and tackles important issues which make both the characters and story more realistic and relatable. Aleo never disappoints and that is what puts her on top of my list of favorite writers.

EXCELLENT!! When you lose confidence in yourself due to others, everyday will take on a life of its own. We struggle daily to achieve our best and succeed. The characters in this book are doing exactly that. Two different worlds, two different struggles. The way the author wrote this book, I felt like it was her telling her own story. There is so much passion and conviction in her words.
The story revolves around Nicco and Destiny. The attraction is sizzling hot from the very first day they meet. Their deal brings them closer and closer. With a jealous model thrown in for good measure. If I were to have a fantasy man, then Nicco would be it.
This is the first book by Debbie Cromack I have read and I just found myself an author I will enjoy reading for a long time. Enjoy this excellent read. Yo won’t be disappointed.

This is my first read by this author and it was a delightful read, it has everything. From danger, suspense, and love. The characters are well written and I loved the way they played of each other. The plot was good also.
Bella Orstwell English aristocrat and she thought helping get her abusive Russian mafia boyfriend arrested would be the end her troubles. But it isn’t. Because even though she’s been whisked off to parts unknown to hide out until the trial, she now has to pretend to be the housekeeper to the Delaney Brothers and nanny to their kid sister.
Levi doesn’t have time for spoiled rich girls with helping to raise his orphaned kid sister and running the ranch with his brothers keeps him busy. But an ex-Navy SEAL never turns down a call from an old friend—which is how he found himself in charge of keeping the annoyingly Bella safe.
