Saving Marvel (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Allison Davis

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by Manda Mellett and I will absolutely be putting her on my list of authors to go back and read more books from.

Even though I have not read other books in this series, I don’t feel like I missed anything by not reading them.

Marvel and Virginia meet during a bank robbery where they end up talking for hours hidden in a room waiting for the cops to diffuse the situation. They open up to each other about the event that changes their life. Virginia seems to be a b ad luck magnet and Marvel cant resist to be her knight and shining armor. The big question is if they can both overcome their past to trust one another and build a future together. 100% would recommend.

I love this series. I loved the first generation. I am adoring this second generation. This chapter in the series has us finding out about Marvel. Marvel is a great brother but kind of a jerk. He never told anyone what happened to him, what turned him into a cynic. A chance meeting with a woman, Virginia, in the bank Marvel finds himself stuck in during a robbery turns into a kinship of sorts. When Virginia’s safety is put at risk because of her ex, Marvel finds himself wanting to protect her.

One thing this author manages to do is include characters from both generations seamlessly. Everyone flows and works together. The strong female characters, their sisterhood, and the love for their men make me wish I was someone’s old lady in this club. I am along for the ride until the bitter end!!

I was so excited to jump back into this series. Having enjoyed the previous two books I couldn’t wait to see what to see what the author had in store next. I loved this book. I loved the relationships and the dynamic of the three involved. I loved how the author didn’t make it out to be this perfect scenario bur rather one with faults that they overcame. For me it made it more real.
This story was well thought through and developed. I was hooked from the moment I started reading. This is a great addition to the series as a whole.

This is a quick, fun and romantic read. Angela and Blade are reunited when he comes to work at her office. The chemistry is there. The story is there. The characters crack me up. They are quirky, silly and full of personality. I enjoyed the tone of the story. It felt modern and contemporary. I fell in love with the characters the first time I met them. I like this author’s writing. I hope to read more. I definitely recommend this.

I enjoyed this sweet romance story. This is a story that is part of a series that can be read as a stand alone and I look forward to seeing what is next in this series. This is a well written story about a second chance romance. I enjoyed these characters and what they brought to the story. They are connectable, strong and supportive of each other. I enjoyed how the author was able to bring them to life with their writing skills. Their attention to details made the story fun and easy to read. This is a story about two people who break up and leave one angry and at a loss of why. What will happen when you walk into work only to find the one person you loved but gave up. What will fate have in store for these two? You don’t want to miss it. I enjoyed their chemistry and growth throughout the story. Their story is fast paced and engaging. A story where the author did a great job of making me feel part of the story. This made a great afternoon read and I highly recommend it.

Until there was you by G. Colgrove – Review by Jennifer Ramos

Until there was youUntil there was you by G. Colgrove
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Colgrove’s novel was such a beautiful touch to a coming-of-age love story. Until There Was You depicts the story of Regan and Jeremy and their particular lives bring them together unexpectedly and even though their lives are significantly different, they decide to carry on in a way only love can move. Centered around the urban area of Boston, Regan was born and raised as a “Southie” with a barely existent mother figure and her older brother, Shane. Basically raising themselves, Regan builds on a tough exterior to handle whatever hurt and pain life has brought to her thus far. Things start to change the evening after her high school graduation.

Along comes Jeremy, an up and coming in the real estate industry and a fresh face from Harvard Grad, he starts lining up and preparing to hopefully one day take over his father’s company. Even though he calls Los Angeles home, he has temporarily been placed in Boston to settle some projects to help better build the community. Things start changing when he ends up having a work lunch at the diner Regan works at.

The love story between Regan and Jeremy has its challenges along the way but the one thing that remains strong but it is tested left and right. They must learn on their own terms if their love is strong enough to keep each other together.

The Fighter (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 3) by India Kells

The Fighter is the third book in the An Underground Bad Boys Romance Series. This is a fast paced Romance story that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I’m a huge fan of this author and I’ve read several books by her but this one is definitely going to the top of my favorites list. I love her style of writing and attention to detail blows me away. This one was a bit intense at times but the chemistry was off the charts along with it being hot and steamy this was the perfect afternoon read. This is a story about Juliet and Jonathan (Gage) along with her best friend Ten. She’s always felt alone and has had to fend for herself and Jonathan never thought he’d ever find love or even happiness. These three together are pretty Hot! I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for more from this Author.

The Fighter (An Underground Bad Boys Romance, #3)The Fighter by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jonathon Gage was not a nice person, so when he was floating on his back in water at the beach, he did not expect to have two hands grab his ankles. Immediately reacting, he started to retaliate when he noticed it was a woman. Juliet Auclair had thought Gage was drowning and tried to rescue him. After clearing up the misunderstanding, he thought he would never see her again. He was mistaken when he sees her with another man at the underground cage fighting event. Scheduled to fight that evening, he overhears Juliet arguing with Ten. Ten was not a seasoned fighter but was getting ready to be in a fight, in hopes to get money for their rent.

Ten was getting beaten badly when the bell rang, ending the first round. Gage immediately moved in and gave Ten some pointers to get through the fight. Seeing Mirkle as the opponent, Gage whispers to Ten how to win the fight. Ten breaks Mirkle’s knee, but it cost him the money he would have won from the fight. Gage drives them to their apartment, only to see their belongings in trash bags at the curb. Taking another unprecedented action, he loads the bags into his truck and brings Juliet and Ten to his home.

After learning Juliet and Ten are only roommates, Gage ends up having both wanting to have sex with him. Since Gage is confident in his sexuality, he ends up making an agreement with the two. He also answers the call from Mirkle, expecting retaliation. A major decision now falls on his shoulders, and Gage has no clue on how to keep everyone safe.

There are detailed sex scenes in this book, and I would caution the content is appropriate for only adult readers. While the entire story is unpredictable, I thought Gage was regretting his choice to be the white knight after Mirkle made his threat known. Then adding several twists and revelations to the story, the book changes directions which will enthrall readers that like steamy romances with a true story line.

A Tormented Man's Soul (Grimm Wolves MC Book #5)A Tormented Man’s Soul by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW! Intense is the word I would use to describe this story! I would also say it is a bit dark, devious and shows the heart of family and friends. There are very powerful emotions that are felt by the characters as well as the reader. I devoured this book in record time and now am eagerly awaiting the continuation.

The characters are deep and we get a look at their pasts and present. Chains had me in agony for him more than once and I did tear up. I enjoyed the viewpoints, thoughts and feelings from others either in the MC or people they come across. It really shows how endless the love is in this story.

I have mixed feelings about the female of the triad. I am hoping she redeems herself and grows a backbone in the second half. She just seemed very wimpy but maybe i am missing something. She doesn’t need to be hard, just not so much crying, maybe some strength. That is my only negative critique about the story.

As stated above I am looking forward to seeing what happens. I would recommend starting this series at the beginning as it has a continuous story run throughout all books. It is worth it…trust me!

From the first page, this book is steamy and fast moving. The heated scenes can melt the ink off the page. Gage has decided to take a break from almost everything. The only thing he isn’t breaking from helps him keep his sanity, fighting. When Gage meets a mysterious stranger on the beach, he is instantly attracted but decides to keep his distance. By chance, he sees her again when she is talking to a fighter right before his next match. Gage, knowing he shouldn’t, gets involved by giving the fighter advice and being his corner man. This leads to consequences for all three. The fighter, Ten, is now caught in the deadly web of underground cage fighting.

Gage opens his home to the pair, learning that Ten and the mysterious stranger, Juliet, are best friends, but fighting a mutual attraction. Gage guides Ten and Juliet through their attraction with some bonuses. The beautiful friendship between Ten and Juliet blossoms and matures through this experience. Gage and Juliet discover more than friendship. Amazing story about discovering more about yourself!

This author continues to find ways to suck me into a story, a series, where I can’t put it down! It is a great way to spend a rainy weekend.

This is Marvel and Virginia’s story. The way they meet is definitely unconventional. Most probably serendipity had a hand in this encounter. They meet during a bank heist. Wrong place, wrong time? In this case it is probably right place, right time. During their time together, they form a bond while revealing their deepest secrets. Was it because neither thought they would live to see another day? Who knows but a connection was formed. Because of Virginia’s infamous past, Marvel feels the need to step in and protect her from the media hounds not realizing that there is a very lethal threat against her. Can Marvel protect Virginia and his heart at the same time?

Every book that I have read in the Satan’s Devils series I have loved. Each story is unique and well thought out. I appreciate that the author doesn’t limit her love stories to the young and beautiful. Her books cover the older generation as well as in this book. This one is definitely worth reading.

What fun and entertaining books these both are. Although they are short they are well written and definitely know how to keep your interest. They are lighthearted and sweet romances with some great characters. They were relatable and easy to connect with right from the start.
I lived the fact that this boxed set had been created as I was certainly ready to move straight on to book 2 after finishing the first. These are the kind of stories you can get yourself lost in for an afternoon. I thoroughly enjoyed both if these books and would recommend them.

I have read a lot of books from this author and this one was just as enjoyable as the rest. I like how the characters are very complex and their past and baggage enhances their story. I like how the is a good balance of action, drama, and romance. The books are also not predictable so they really grab the reader and hook you till the end.

I really like how the characters personalities are complimentary and they are like opposites. As we all know opposites attract. I also like how the romances are not straight forward and have complexity and depth. I will definitely be reading more from this author in future.

This one tugged at me a bit more than the others and I really was devastated when I had to reach the end. But man was it a ride. Every single character in this story world is so easy to connect with and feel for and this one was no different I was immediately drawn into Virginia and Marvel’s world they each just brought the entire story to life. This author truly puts her heart and soul into each book and it shows. Never been disappointed by her stories and I’m anxiously waiting for whatever comes next five huge stars and highly recommended!

This is the third book in the series. It’s time for Gage to find love. Of course, he doesn’t feel he deserves it or that he will find it. My heart was breaking for him by the time I got to this book. Yes, Gage is an illegal cage fighter and has been through some intensely rough stuff but everyone deserves love. In comes Juliet and her best friend, Ten. They have gotten involved into some deep crap. Gage, a good guy at heart, feels the need to rescue them.. Their is adventure, romance and lots of chemistry. Toss in some spicy romance and you have a really great story. I really like this author. Again, she writes in such away that you are pulled right in from the start. She jumps in from the start with the action. The characters grow on you and you can’t help but all in lov e yourself with them. Gage is intimidating when I read his size but when I read what he does for love it makes me kind of want one too. Get out there and but this story. This is a trilogy you can’t miss.

This is a standalone novel that I read in a few hours as it captured my attention! I have not read any books by this author, and I LOVED this book!! Zenni and Colton first meet as Zenni is trying to save the plantation that her family used to work with as it is the only connection to her family that she has anymore. Colton is a rich man who has bought the plantation in hopes of turning it into a homing development to make the small town great again and make money. The lengths they go to throughout this book to sabotage each other made me laugh so much while reading this book. If you are looking for a great contemporary romance novel to read this is the book for you! I cannot wait to buy more books by this author!

Saving Marvel is the fourth book in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series by Manda Mellett. As I have mentioned before, I have read all the Satan’s Devils books from the original series, right through to this second generation- and have enjoyed them all. This is a contemporary MC romance story, and is full of sexy bikers, danger, comradery, brotherhood, action, drama, suspense, tension, two broken souls, banter, dramatic developments, gripping storyline, heartache, endearing characters, chemistry, emotion, and finding love unexpectedly.
This is Marvel and Virginia’s story. These two characters were so easy to like and invest in. They are thrust together unexpectedly- and have quite the story to tell. Ms. Mellett has delivered another story that has dug it’s way under my skin and left a permanent impression.

Thank you, Manda Mellett!

Knox is trying to redeem himself from a bad past. He chose to leave it and try to move on and make himself a new, cleaner life. He planned for this to mean no serious relationships. But then Josie came into his life and there went his plans out the door. This is a sweet romance, yet also a very erotic romance. They both come from hard pasts but once they chemistry starts, watch out…there’s going to be an explosion!! There’s lots of spice for the heavy romance lovers and also some really great story for those that love the story. An old friend makes an appearance in this story as he’s still looking for his happy ever after but not yet. The characters are just quirky enough that they will grow right into your life. I have grown to love these bad boys. Locke and Tessa, Knox and Jose. Will Gage find his happiness? It is really nice how the stories intertwine by way of Gage going within the stories. The plot of this story is fascinating. Josie is badass stubborn and Knox thinks he can just waltz in and be her rescuer. This author creates strong female characters which always makes for good reading. The story is engaging and endearing. I have been pulled in from the beginning. I recommend you run right over and one-click this one.

This book was full of action, intrigue and mystery. Dr. Tessa Freeman is an ER doctor just tyring to do her job and also help rescue girls from human trafficking. Yep, she sees her share. During one particular shift, this sexy sea-green eyed hunk (Locke) walks into her ER for some stitches. He’s a hottie that gets under her skin. Fake name, hot looks, troubled past, you know there’s trouble there. He takes off right after she’s done and disappears from her life. After helping the next girl that comes in who’s really torn up, the trouble hits…. you’re going to have to read the book for more). Well-written in the matter that the story is fast paced with action that pulls you in. The twist plots thrown in factored in just nice. The characters were so well described. Mabel reminded me of Maggie off Chicago Hope with her attitude. Tessa is a badass that shows she is pretty strong. She even helped Locke see that he could let her in to his heart. I would have lost it but she kept it together. This is an erotic romance so there is lots of steam. A little of everything for all the romance lovers. I recommend this.

I found this to be a very interesting story of a policewoman trying to hide who she is. Born with magic, Ezri doesn’t want to use or she just uses enough to help her get promotions. The book was original. The story was intriguing. Ezri really needed to come to terms with who she is . Trying to find her mom’s killer, she would need that magic. The characters were unique and quite interesting because you had a mix of the mundane and the magical. That made for a fascinating mix in the story. I could have used a little more excitement in the story but I am an adventure junkie (I admit it). This is a good story overall that I think fans of urban fantasy are going to love and want to read.

The Fighter (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 3) by India Kells – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

The Fighter (An Underground Bad Boys Romance, #3)The Fighter by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jonathan Gage is a MMA fighter who grew up on the streets with violence all around. He tried leaving his old life behind, but just could never stay away from the underground circuit. Along his journey towards a new beginning, he finds himself aiding newcomers, Ten and Juliet, to the circuit and they all find themselves messing with the wrong guy. Ten and Juliet have been friends for some time, but Ten is always making bad decisions while Julient is trying to get him out of them. The three of them, in trying to survive this ordeal, build a budding friendship and romantic exploration. Ten is trying to figure out who he is, Juliet is trying to portray who she was always afraid of, and Gage can’t seem to leave the life he used to have, but so badly wanting a life of love and happiness. They will have to work together and be open to their vulnerabilities if they want to have a future.

When I first started reading the book I was not sure how I was going to like it. The book premise and relationships in the story moved very quickly, which I wasn’t against. I did think the dynamics were a little odd and unrealistic, to me. However, as the characters started to change and develop, I started to really like Gage and Juliet. Ten is a fine character but I wasn’t finding anything too special about him. The three of them do have some smut going on around them that is quite raunchy at the beginning, but you can start to see the caring and/or love dynamic start to take place. I enjoyed how the book ended.

This book is the third book in this series and the perfect ending for these Underground Bad Boys. Gage, Ten and Juliet are under dogs in this story. But they are also the sexy team that pulls this story together. Ten and Juliet are the best of friends with the hint of wanting something more. When they are introduced to Gage in the most interesting of ways, the wanting increases and includes Gage.

Thanks to a bad choice, a target is place on Ten and in turn Juliet. Gage may be their only hope at success. However, Ten and Juliet in return, save Gage from himself. When a person, fictional or real, has a past that they feel has broken them, Juliet said it best:

“It’s not important who we were, but who we are now and in the future.”

This story was easy to read and follow. Even though it is the third in the series, it can be read as a standalone. There are appearances by Knox and Locke from the first two books in this series, which if you haven’t read, will just make you want to read them.

I definitely recommend this book, series and author. This series is erotic in nature and is not recommended for readers under 18 or those with delicate sensibilities.
