Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was book 4 in the series but, all the Titans books are amazing. Each one is steamier then the last.
This book has many repeat characters from previous books and a few new ones as well.

Mason and Rhyann met one night in a club. Met isn’t really the word I should use. They spotted eachother, danced and hooked up.

Rhyann is currently on a full scholarship with big dreams of being a dancer one day. Like most
College students, she needs to find a job and goes with her bad influence new bestie Allie to the Vault to interview for a job. When they get there, the owner….the man interviewing them is none other then Mason Steele….the man Rhyann hooked up with a few nights ago in the bathroom of this very same club.

Mason does not mix business with pleasure after something tragic happened years ago. There’s something about that one night stand a few days ago but he can’t seem to get Rhyann out of his head and she obviously feels the same way.

Working at the vault and staying out late has caused Rhyann’s grades to fall. She’s about to lose her scholarship so she tries to extra credit projects and stuff to bump up her grades. One professor knows what she does for a living and convinces her to come put on a show for him and he will change her grade.

That’s the #1 reason Mason doesn’t date his dancers. Dancers are only safe in his club. They should never go to do a private party.

This book was great. Mason is so torn throughout this book but I love it. Such a great read. Cannot wait for more!

The Hunted (Vampire Navy SEAL: Sam & Layla) by S.B. Alexander – Review by Shelly Kittell

The Hunted (Vampire Navy SEAL: Sam & Layla, #1)The Hunted by S.B. Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was certainly a book that grabs you right from the beginning. Bloodsuckers and humans, always an unfair fight. Layla gets herself tangled in web that raises red flags she just ignores. Sam Mason is the hot vampire target that she’s after. He’s a hot, Navy SEAL (yes, and a vamp) that’s got spice, romance and makes Layla and the reader fall in love with him. Can they work through the species difference? The books was engaging. It was a touch spicy with the romance and adventure. The characters were well-developed and well written. I even loved how sassy they were at times. My favorite part was when one of Layla’s sisters ends up compelled. It’s a chuckle moment. The plot seems a little much at times but it works overall. I recommend the read. I think romance readers will love it.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

D.M. Earl is a new to me author, and I will be trying a few more books to see if I really like the writing style. I didn’t read the synopsis for this book, so going into I thought this would just be another MC book, and then it turned out to be a paranormal MC book. I did not like the cliffhanger at the end, I like the books I read to give me all the answers, I don’t want to wait for the next book. So I will be getting book 2 to find out what happens next.

(Un)Loved (Mixed Emotions, #1)(Un)Loved by Katy Hunter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

(Un)Loved is the first book in the Mixed Emotions series is the start of a new series. This is my first book by this author, and I was unsure of what to expect. The story is a sweet, realistic read of love and timing. I enjoyed the characters and story. I felt the story was dragging or a bit slow at different points. This just might be me and my timing of reading this book. I want to read the next book in the series because I liked the storyline and characters. I also loved the llama. What a great character in the story.
I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The next Titans of Manhattan is about to fall and is about to fall hard! It’s that time, book 3 is here! Seductively Yours brings Mason Steele to his knees unexpectedly.
One of the Titan playboys Mason Steele owns high end clubs that has an area which include high end dancers. What happens when his most recent hire becomes a scratch he desperately wants to itch but can’t.
Rhyann just arrived in the big city to follow her dreams of becoming a professional dancer. School hasn’t been easy nor has her dance classes. Allie, her roommate, decides they need a night out. the Vault is an upscale nightclub that little does Rhyann know is about to change her life.
These two characters dance around their sexual tension for one another to remain professional. Just brings a wonderful dynamic to the story.
I love seeing Mason brought to his knees after how he acted as a supporting character in the previous books. I also feel like this is my favorite book in this series thus far. The author does a wonderful job with these two characters, tying them in knots. Forcing them to grow, especially Rhyann being she’s so young. Because of all of that I can’t wait for book 4! My spidey senses say JC has a rude awakening coming his way!
Read them, read them all! I dare you!

I always enjoy picking up a book by this author as I am never quite sure what I am going to get. Her books are all so varied and different it makes it really exciting. This book was a brilliant Fantasy story that draws you in slowly but surely. It builds up, I trouncing you to everything and creating a well imagined Book.
I looked how diverse the characters were, each with their own part to play. The book had death and a complexity to it that I thought made it even better. This was a brilliant book to read and I am already excited to see whatever book comes from this author next.

I read this book in an afternoon! It’s an incredible, but not basic, romance story! The author did a wonderful job of giving us realistic characters who face twists and turns throughout the story. Jeremy and Regan had such a good connection and I kept wanting to read more. If you like contemporary romance novels, I suggest this book!

This story follows Ian and Grace and is 329 pages in length. Holy cow!! When Grace needs to move, she responds to a room mate wanted ad. Rent free and all she had to do is cook for him on his dime. Too good to be true? Maybe – maybe not (insert shoulder shrug). He is hot, but she seriously does want to get involved right now. Yet the chemistry between them is too much to ignore. But what will come falling out of the closet when the door is opened?

Doctor D’s Orderly Affair (Doctors of Eastport General) by C.A. King – Review by Cami Hammond

Doctor D's Orderly AffairDoctor D’s Orderly Affair by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my first time reading a book from this author and it was a quick spicy read! Desmond and Emily both work at the hospital. Desmond is a doctor with a naughty reputation and Emily is an orderly that seems to play it safe. They work on different floors so they have never met until they both decide to go to the same bar on the same night. They don’t have the night of fun they want so they try again the next night with success! Something happens that changes things. I can’t give it all away but I will say I did enjoy this read. I know it is a Novella, but I wish it were longer and not so rushed at the end. I wanted/needed more. I can’t wait to read her next book. Maybe we will get an update on these two!

It Just Comes Natural (Powder River Pack Book 3) by Brooke May – Review by Shelly Kittell

It Just Comes NaturalIt Just Comes Natural by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book 3 of the series and I think it was my favorite. Brandon and Macy had a history and to see them meet up again and deal with that history and the challenges it brought (including a mighty active one), gave hope that everything could work out. I really enjoy the author’s writing as you feel like these are your neighbors. They are well-developed and the story is well-written. They are just going through the struggles we all do (with a little inner wolf thrown in). With every story, I have been pulled in and fully engaged. You find yourself wanting to know what’s next in the story. I loved it. This was a great story to read. I recommend you check it and the other two stories out.

A Second Chance (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May – Review by Shelly Kittell

A Second Chance (The Powder River Pack #1)A Second Chance by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First we got Mason’s story. Time for Derek, his best friend. Derek grew up hearing stories of how werewolf’s would find their mate, for life. It was a once in a lifetime thing. He always wanted his parents thing. Annabelle came into his life in childhood. Her momma liked him. Her daddy hated him from the get-go. Annabelle knew what he was and loved him anyway. Derek was heartbroken when Amos told her she had moved on. Fast Forward ten years later, she comes back for her daddy’s death, can they pick up where they left off? There is a lot of history to deal with? This is an excellent book. The story plays out terrific. It goes along so smooth. There is no choppiness. The characters feel just like a small town. Derek is relatable with his frustration over his feelings. Annabelle is just totally relatable for being in a relationship and trying to deal with daddy issues. They go through some heavy stuff, and with him being a werewolf on top? Boom, issues for sure. I loved this book too. Totally engaged me. On to book 3. I highly recommend you read this one too.

Rylie enters their life when she comes to town to work as a wildlife biologist studying wolves. The embers start to burn. Mason’s wolf knows she the one. Now, will Mason and Rylie accept it? They endure the adventures life throws in their way. This is such a good book. I was sucked in at the beginning by the tale of how Mason became of a father and I just couldn’t leave. I had to stay because I wanted to know what happened next. The story engages you. Well-written and well-developed characters make for a story that will keep you right there and devouring it. I can’t wait to read more. Here I come book 2. I highly recommend you push the button and buy this one.

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Whew! This story has so much to offer! All the feels, *spicy* time, angst, suspense, twists and turns…you name it, Anise Storm delivers! Absolutely loved the way the author not only develops the characters independent of each other, but also the way she develops and moves the plot along at such a natural pace. This book is very well written. She also gives little bread crumbs into the lives of the other Titans which leaves the reader wanting to know more about them.
Mason is a powerhouse in Manhattan and Rhyann is a small town girl from Kansas chasing her dreams of dance in NYC. The attraction between Rhyann and Mason is electric from the beginning. An anonymous one-night stand turns into more when Rhyann and Mason realize who the other is when she applies for a job dancing at one of Mason’s clubs. The sparks continue to fly even though both are trying to stay away from the other. Rhyann is looking toward the future while Mason is stuck in the past. Definitely a fast-paced read, but Storm doesn’t rush anything!
While this is book 3 in the series, it can be read as a stand alone. Anise Storm has definitely been added of my list of authors to read!

I loved this story so much! Whilst I do love a steamy romance read it’s also sometimes really nice to read a pure, simple, clean romance and this is exactly what I got from this book! I loved the setting for the story and because of the authors attention to detail and her wonderful writing I felt like I had been transported back to the early 1900’s. I could really feel how much the author had put in to the characters and their story, it really came across well. I loved Faith and Nico and their story was a joy to read. (Un)Loved (Mixed Emotions, #1)(Un)Loved by Katy Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What happens when you meet the love of your life but your life isn’t where it needs to be? That is what happens with the main characters of this book. They are amazing and their lives are going where they want them to but is that enough? Does what they’re doing now affect what they want in the future? Can they work things out to get what they are wanting? These are the questions that I was constantly asking myself during this book. The characters have growth that you won’t see coming. There are is many bumps and bruises that they get along the way. This book had me crying, cursing, ranting, and swooning. I feel like I went on an emotional roller coaster. I wanted it to end then didn’t want it to end. I feel like I got whiplash with how things were constantly changing in this story. It almost gave me a book hangover. Not a lot of books can do that but this one did and the makes it a 5 star read. It is a witty, fun, romantic, steamy, soul crushing adventurous book. It constantly makes you wonder, is love enough. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to be emotionally abused. Just kidding, kind of. It is a great read and you want be disappointed while reading it.

Kiss of the swan was a wonderful story with great nods to fairytales such as Sleepy Beauty and the Tale of Six Swans. Cathal spends his life protecting his brother at all cost because his made a promise to his mother on her death bed. His brother is a piece of work to say the least. Eala is a queen that is fully dedicated to her people. She will stop at nothing to protect them. Cathal and Eala story collides when he follows his brother to swan island. The story consists of MANY secrets that keep you reading and love that keep you rooting for them.

Sophie is a famous actress who has been in the industry since she was a child. She is extremely dedicated to her job which leaves her without many personal relationships. She has some major attraction for her now ex costar G. He offers to have her come to his family’s farm in France so she can take a break from her career.

There was so much potential for the story here but there was some things I didn’t care for. The drama was a bit much. Both Sophie and G had their own things to work through on the trip but everything was so quick. Realistically the problems they had to figure out wouldn’t be as quick to resolve so the timeline seemed to be much longer than it actually was. There was also a TON of back and forth in their relationship that was just too much for my taste.

The story was still enjoyable so I would definitely read something else from this author.

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins Book 1) by Cecily K. Wolfe – Review by Angela Hayes

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins, #1)Faithful in Love by Cecily K. Wolfe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Stars

Faithful in Love is the first book in the Cliff Walk Cousins trilogy by Cecily K. Wolfe. It is an historical Christian romance, with some drama, angst, obstacles, jealousy, belief, and family connections.
This is the first book that I have read from this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from her work- but I was intrigued enough to want to find out what she could do. I now understand that this trilogy is a spin-off from the Cliff Walk Courtship series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything by not having read that series first. So, this can be read as a standalone. Having said that, I will probably go back and read the original series, at some stage, just to find out what happens there.
We meet Faith Davenport as she develops feelings for her uncle’s apprentice. But things get complicated when Nico faces prison.
If you love Christian romance with a historical atmosphere, inspirational content, a sweet story with a little drama, and characters with substance- then this is definitely the story for you.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Cecily K. Wolfe!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh these Titans have me hooked! Strong powerful characters who have their hearts awakened by equally strong women. It is just so much fun to see these guys fall and fall hard.
This time it is Mason who will fall for the beautiful Rhyann. Their attraction is immediate and burns hot, a nameless one night stand follows and that is it… or so they thought. Next thing you know Rhyann is applying for a job and guess who the boss is…her super hot one night stand!! At first the last thing Mason wants to do is employ her but decides to give her a chance. Maybe that will help kill his attraction because he never gets involved with employees. Of course Mason fights it with all his might but eventually he gives in to the fact that the heart wants what the heart wants!!
This is such a creative, well written story where you are drawn into the world of the characters and feel their emotions just as much as they do. I can’t wait to read the next Titans downfall!
