Noah must get married to keep his land. Where would he find a wife? Mary had been caring for her father for years and was now about to be married off to a horrible man if she didn’t do something. For Mary anything was better than where she was. How would this marriage of convenience work? Would either of them develop feelings for each other? This was a quick read but so good. Heartwarming story filled with great characters. I can’t wait to read more!

Mary’s home life is dismal, her father has just informed her she is to marry a horrid man. She is resigned to her fate. Since there were no local choices his lawyer suggests a proxy marriage for a year to fulfill the requirements of his father’s will. Mary is approached after church with the proposition of accepting the marriage for the year. She jumps at the chance to avoid her father’s choice. When Mary arrives Noah is surprised by her reactions making him realize her life has been much harder than he originally believed. While there is attraction between the two Mary assumes Noah would never want her and decides to enjoy the improvements in her life until her year is up. Noah believe Mary is not interested behaves like a gentleman. Throughout this Novella the lack of serious communication between the two leaves each making assumptions. Will Mary and Noah realize that they could have a true marriage before its too late or only have a marriage of convenience?
I really enjoyed this story. It was an enjoyable quick read that still succeeded in the characters having a depth that makes it easy to imagine them as real people. I would suggest giving this book a read. I am looking forward to reading Noah’s brothers’ stories as well.

A Bride for Noah is the first book in the Brides of Broken Arrow Series. I’m a huge fan of Historical Romance and I pretty much devoured this in one sitting. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m looking forward to seeing what other books she has written. Noah and Mary meet after he learns the land he was gifted from his father had certain conditions that he had to meet before the land would be his. Mary found herself in a situation she didn’t like so she took off and found herself answering an ad for mail order bride. These two meet and there is definitely some chemistry between them. What will Mary do once the contract is up? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Wait WHAT!! Did I miss something, I waited for this I love this author the mafia trope is the best but, This was a wild ride but it wasn’t as fast as the first three books. These definitely cannot be read alone this author has literally created a world that lives in my heart rent free. Marco….he brings all the feels in such a short time. This book and series is quick but NOT light! So I need today that if you ever get a second chance at love …take it. I literally chose book one just because of the cover and still I want to post this everywhere it is appealing from the cover to the very last page. I love this series and this is my number one mafia romance recommendation this year.
This was a short novella, and my first read by this author. It was a sweet and wholesome story and the characters had a genuine connection. Mary was sweet and timid. She had less than the ideal life, and everything with Noah was completely new to her. Noah is hard working and independent, and in order to not lose everything he has worked so hard for must get a wife to get his inheritance and keep his farm land. Together its a journey based on faith and seeing if love is in the cards.

When she gets a crazy request of a proxy marriage to a stranger she doesn’t even think about it. To escape her father’s arrangement she agrees without a look back. Can Noah and Mary turn this marriage of convenience into a real marriage? Will her father fight the proxy marriage so she can marry his choice instead? Will Mary stay the full year of the contract or end it sooner? This book can make you feel many emotions. Anger at some characters, happy here and there throughout, sad throughout, and much more. Such a great book. I can’t wait to read the others in the series.

It is a great start as the first book in the series. This is a clean romance historical novella that is sweet and heart-warming. It is a short and a quick read that will pull at your heartstrings.
Noah needs a wife and Mary needs a chance for a better life so much so that she agrees to a marriage without seeing the man in question. What ensues is something they both never thought they would have. Mary’s life broke my heart.

This was such a great read! A beautifully well told story that provides a feel good feeling, and a happy ending. Dae and Cathy had immediate chemistry and it flowed throughout the book. The story itself captures good vs evil and leads you on a magical adventure full of romance, danger, and mystery. All the characters played a key part and truly shaped the story supporting our H and h. Its a thought provoking journey and one you do not want to miss.

This book is possibly one of the best romance novellas that I have read in a long time. This short historical romance was full of surprises including family, love, and lots of emotions. While this was a short read it was amazing, full of brilliant writing, fantastic character, and a terrific plot, I just simply couldn’t put it down. When Noah finds out that he has to marry to get his inheritance, he freaks out what on earth will he do? Mary has been living with her father trying to take care of him and survive on scraps, when he drops the bomb on her that she must marry a man that she can’t stand. What will she do when she hears of Noah’s situation? Will the two of them find a way to make it work for both of them? Or are they both stuck with their terrible fates? You’ll have to read this amazing novella for yourself to find out.

I very much enjoyed this story, and read it through until the wee hours! The Brightley sisters are a wonderful trio of young women who have entered “society” and have been tasked with looking for a husband. Despite reservations on Charmaine and Arabella’s part, the impending loss of their family estate motivates them to find someone with the means to care for them – especially the eldest, Charmaine. She feels a keen responsibility to her younger sisters to land a husband who can care for them all. She very grudgingly admits this necessity, but has no feelings for any man – until she meets a swarthy handsome stranger. But mystery cloaks him, and he is hiding some explosive secrets. Can the two of them find a way to be together?
This book gives off some major Jane Austen vibes, and definitely charmed me with its wit and plot twists. The characters of Charmaine, Arabella, and Rosalind are very unique and well-drawn, I was hooked into reading until the end. Masterfully written, lots of fun, and I definitely recommend it!
Noah is furious when he learns that his father has placed conditions on his inheritance, but reluctantly agrees to marry a woman known through mutual friends, Mary Stanton. They create a one-year contract for marriage, wherein Mary will be his wife and then leave with a stipend after 12 months. For Mary, it becomes a boon of huge importance. At her father’s home, she was nearly destitute, uncared for, and without any options for a happy life. Coming to Broken Arrow farm feels like opulence – running water, stocked pantries, and a kind man to care for. As they go about their lives and start to learn about each other, they each start to wonder if perhaps they could love each other as a true man and wife.
Mary and Noah are both sweet characters, realistic and likeable. I enjoyed reading about their romance, and felt engaged in the novel. A Bride for Noah is well written, easy to read, and a nice feel-good story for romance lovers.
Can a marriage of convenience turn into something more? I absolutely loved A Bride for Noah. Although was a short story it still had all the feels. Mary lived a very rough life but still didn’t let that get her down! I loved reading about her and Noah finding their ways in their new normal. Such a great historical romance novella.

A Bride for Noah (Brides of Broken Arrow) by Cheryl Wright. This is such a good novella. Its so pure and innocent. Its about Noah who has worked his whole life on his farm and has finally gotten it to where he wants it. So when his dad passes away he assumes it will all be his but little does he know it comes with a catch. His dad has set it up to where Noah has to marry within three weeks of his death and Noah has no women in sight. Enter Mary who has lived with her dad her whole life and he has never shown her any affection. Her dad finally gets tired of her and gives her away to be married to a brute. She ends up escaping barely and her neighbor tells her about marriages to strangers to help each other out. When Mary gets an offer she jumps at the chance to leave. As Mary and Noah get to know each other they may end up falling in love after all. Such a sweet read!

I swear! The books in this series just get better and better! McKinley does it again with a deeper look into two lesser known characters. I absolutely love the way she develops her characters and she doesn’t disappoint with Elena and Marco. These two have a complicated relationship to say the least. Elena was promised to another mafia boss through an arranged marriage, but her “death,” and a few other factors, lead to that be voided, and Marco couldn’t be happier. Elena, however, has mixed feelings about not only her own feelings towards Marco, but his feelings towards her. I absolutely love seeing these two characters develop over the course of this book.
This book is action-packed and filled with suspense. There are so many twists and turns that you’ll forget which way you are going. While I did see some of the twists coming, there are others that completely blindside you! McKinley does answer quite a few questions leftover from the previous books so a lot of loose ends are tied up. This one really grabs you from the beginning and doesn’t let go until the end. And we can’t forget the spicy parts! I love the way Marco and Elena are so cautious in their feelings toward each other because it just builds and builds!
As always, I recommend reading the books in order. As a reader, you just get so much more and can appreciate what McKinley does not only with her characters, but also with the plot. Wonderfully written! Honestly one of my favorite series!
This is the first book in a new series by an author that is new to me. In the last year I’ve become a fan of historical romance which I never really read before and I liked the look of this book when I read the blurb. I’m glad that I went with my instincts as I really enjoyed Noah’s story. Although this book is a novella at just over 100 pages, the author does a great job of packing plenty into this novella. I really could have read so much more about Noah and Mary. This is a sweet, wholesome, clean romance. At most you get some hand holding and kissing. As someone who also enjoys reading erotica, it’s a nice change to read something so sweet. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy, in a nice way. Noah and Mary are both really great characters. Noah is forced into marriage as a result of his father’s will and Mary is escaping a very poor life with her father who wants her to marry a man she really does not want to be married to. Mary jumps at the chance to spend a year with the lovely Noah and then can walk away from the lovely Noah. But does she want to leave after her year is over? Does Noah want her to leave? Read this great novella to find out. It’s well worth the read.

This was one cute little romantic novella if I’ve ever read one! The fact that it was wholesome was a very nice change up from the romance I have been reading as of late and didn’t make me feel like I was missing out on their connection, either! Noah was ultimately the farmer in shining… straw? Poor Mary never knew what love felt like and had had a rough go until their arrangement was brought to her attention, and that’s when her life became better than she ever thought possible. It was adorable, heart-warming, and truth be told, kept a smile on my face this morning as I read it with my morning coffee and outdoor shenanigans. I look forward to reading more about Noah’s brothers Seth, and Jacob, and thoroughly enjoyed the authors writing style and world and character building. Cheers for love when you least expect it!

I enjoyed this short story of Noah and Mary. By chance of circumstances, Noah and Mary find themselves in a marriage by proxy. Noah to maintain his land due to stipulations in his father’s will and Mary to avoid marriage to someone she fears and to remove herself from life of poverty. These two begin to discover their feelings for each other although they have a difficult time communicating their emotions. I appreciate the clean love story and the happy ending.

This book was as mesmerizing as the cover in which contained the words it spoke to me. I loved the story. There are always two paths, good and evil. How we choose to walk, defines and shapes our future. I could not get enough of this book or the characters, it was a really good read!
The story was whimsical from start to finish! I loved the story of the magical sense it brought forward. Cathy was a wonderful character, when she started to even in which she became. I was taken back by her in more than one way, also loved her tender heart and her personality. When it came to her and Dea, you did not just read their feelings or wants for one another, you felt them! It was amazing and powerful all on one. As the story pressed on, more came to light. I was hooked and was sad when I had concluded it I did not want to say good bye just yet. I will say hello though to the next installment!

How sweet is this book?! A Bride For Noah is a wonderful, quick read. You can’t help but smile while reading this heart-warming tale of two people that enter into a marriage of convenience and end up finding much more. I absolutely adore romance books set in this time period. I love the simpler times although they definitely worked harder then. If you love pure, wholesome romance then this is your book. Cheryl Wright proves that you can write an engaging romance without the sexual innuendo. I loved the interaction between Noah and Mary and found myself drawn in and experiencing their frustration at their miscommunications. It was wonderful watching these two find all that they deserved with each other. The clean, happy ending left me happy and satisfied.

WOAH! I got to say this book was a trip in the most amazing way. I could really feel the story and the characters that it contained. I loved the adventurous side of the story, and how I found morals came into play, would you risk everything for acceptance? I was hooked and really enjoyed this book! I had not read the prior books in the series, but I most definably am going to now!
Gem was very relatable. She stayed more less on the “legal” side of the tracks. She had secrets of her own, and when they slowly came to light I found her character development was undeniable. I loved her as a person even more! Throw in Shep, so shows her his side of the tracks. The chemistry was undeniable. Was it true though? Is this what Gem wanted? Would she risk the safe life she knew for a chance to be with Shep and the people he toured the road with?
I found that was where Gem’s character development comes into play. To fit in, she had to risk all she knew as being safe. And take a trip of something she always felt so against. The outcome and ending of this book came with a fistful and punch! I was amazed as I read. I could not put this book down, and was seriously left wanting more when the ending sneakily creeped up on me! Loved it truly! Amazing book!
Loved this book. And I must with no doubt, read the prior boos in this amazing series I just came across! I really recommend this author and their book. As well as their series. It was so freaking good. I could not put this one down literally. Very highly recommend! Defiantly a a rare treat to be enjoyed!

Oh my goodness, this book has just been added to my favorites of the year (and it’s only February). If this is any indicator, it’s going to be a fun year. Dea and Cathy’s story was a challenge from the start. He’s here hunting bad evil and gets a wee bit distracted by her. She’s getting over a bad romance and grieving her mom’s death. With moon vibrations and Tika, Dea’s best friend, they might get through this. Rask tries to throw a few twists but these two have chemistry and a pull two each other. The plot is fantastic. You feel it all in the writing. And the descriptions….if only Dea could have popped out my Kindle. I loved every minute of it. Not a dull part to the story. The characters are very bit as relatable as the person standing next to you. I can’t wait to read book 2. Get out there and read this one. Guarantee you’ll have a good time and smile. I’d give it more than a 5 if I could.

This the first book in this series for this author. It is a paranormal romance story that is a shorter story but packs a punch. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is a well written story that kept me turning pages to the end. The characters are connectable, unique and strong. They are supportive of each other and had great growth throughout the story. This is a story about Cathy Lu. She has not the best of relationships and she puts everything into her career. What happens when the August Full Moon comes out and changes her into a beautiful angel, magical. Will one kiss change her feelings on relationships? What will fate have in store for her? Safety or darkness. You will want to see what happens next with Cathy Lu. She is such a great character that truly made the story for me. This is a story that has great chemistry and is hard to put down. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this shorter historical romance story. It is a story that pulled me in from the first word. It is a well written story about a marriage of convenience. Noah was gifted some land that he thought was his until he learned about the condition. This is where he and Mary enter into a contract to marry to satisfy the condition. But what will happen at the end of their contract? Will Mary stay or walk away? I enjoyed what they brought to the story and how they kept me coming back for more. It is a fast paced story that is not only engaging but hard to put down. I enjoyed the chemistry between Mary and Noah as well as their growth throughout the story. This is an entertaining, easy story to read and just a great story overall. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this sweet historical romance. The author did an amazing job of transporting the reader back to a time of real romance. I loved the characters if Noah and Mary and how they both want the same thing but are too scared to tell each other.

Such as sweet book! Noah seems like a wonderful man, it sucked to see that his land was taken away by his father unless he got married. On the other hand it was a great idea to give him his land after he gets married, it was a way for his dad to ensure a happy future for his child. Mary, such a sweetheart, I was so sad to see how she was treated by her father, and how selfless she was. When her and Noah finally get to meet my heart broke along with his learning how Mary grew up. They are super sweet together and it was really nice to see a religious element in their relationship. I can’t wait to see which brother is up next!

This is a captivating shifter book. Aranha is such a great heroine. She’s strong and beautiful and she has such a big heart. I was pulled right into the colorful world that the author creates from the very first page. This is so different from the other shifter stories that I’ve read and I absolutely loved it! There’s so much action, and the electricity between Aranha and Dag is incredible! I was fascinated by the Garden of Eden theme, how so much was shielded from everyone and faded into the background until it was brought back in a very startling way! It was great seeing the interactions between the different species that happens in this book, it’s one book that you definitely won’t want to miss.

It’s books like this that make keep me coming back for more. I get so excited when I find a book that looks like it will be an interesting read, but turns out to be so much more- providing an escape that just blows me away…. A Spider In the Garden is a fantastic urban fantasy from Courtney Davis. This may be my first read by Ms. Davis, but after reading this book she has definitely gained a stalker, ummm I mean avid reader, for life!!!! #mustreadauthorlist This is such a wonderful, and refreshingly original paranormal romance that completely captivated me right from the beginning. As a major arachnophobe, like I can’t even stand to be in the same room as a spider (even a teeny-tiny one)- the chances of me falling in love with a spider-shifter story wasn’t a high probability. But as I love to read different things and push myself out of my comfort zones, I thought I would take a peek at this story. And I am soooooooooo happy I did, because I absolutely LOVED it!!! Yep, this may have cured me of my arachnophobia- well let’s not get too carried away, but at the very least this has cured me of my fear of spiders in the printed world lol. Aranha is a spider shifter, and the last of her kind. Her days are a constant struggle for survival. Humans don’t pose a threat to her, but the vampires and werewolves certainly do. It’s imperative that she stay hidden from other paranormal creatures who would kill her if they knew of her existence. Much better for them to think webmakers to be extinct. But then fate leads her into Dag’s bar, and things get….interesting. Add in some hidden agendas, an innocent girl captured by vampires with a diabolical plan, intrigue, mystery, emotion, paranormal politics, and palpable danger- and this story really takes off. I hope there are more books planned for this ‘world’ as Ms. Davis has left me with a bit of an addiction and I need another ‘fix’. I am so thrilled to have discovered Ms. Davis and her wonderful stories. I am off to read her other book ‘A Werewolf in Women’s Clothes’ and can’t wait for her to release more stories for me to devour….. Happy Reading!

This book was absolutely incredible. Urban fantasy is my favorite genre, so I am pickier with these books. I loved it from the beginning! A spider shifter — wait, what?!?!?! I have never read about one before and was instantly intrigued. The author did not disappoint. Not only is Aranha a unique and original creature, she is endearing also. She has a heart of gold, does what she thinks is right and will do anything to protect the innocent and those she cares about. But she’s not perfect, she has her own struggles too. The other characters in the book are also well done and make this world even more complete.
Then there is the story. This is also very unique and different. The author did not use a cookie cutter base and make changes . She went out of her way to create something new a different — and blew the others out of the water in the process. The tale she weaves is so magical and gripping. I could not put it down and urge the author to give us more set in this fantastic world.
If you are a fan of urban fantasy with string female lead characters, great supporting characters, and a story of action and heart, this book is for you.

This paranormal read was just simply amazing, the writing was out of this world and I just simply couldn’t put it down. The depths that the author goes to describe our characters were amazing, her plot was fantastic, and her word play was brilliant. Full of paranormal characters, excitement, suspense and more our author really knows how to draw her readers in and keep them on the edge of their seats. One thing that I really loved about this story is that it was told from a duel POV, which made it unique in its in oh way. But what happens when two paths cross to save one human girl? Well you’ll have to read this story to find out for yourself.
