My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was absolutely phenomenal! While it had a rollercoaster ride of emotions it was truly exceptional! Karina Kantas is amazing and her hard work shows in this book! While it may not be for everyone it really was so well written and the plot kept me on the edge of my seat. I was completely engulfed by this book and read it from cover to cover. If you like dark romances and don’t mind some more controversial stuff in print this book is one you DO NOT want to miss!

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship (The Perfect Pairings Series Book 1) by Parker Fairfield is a fun christmas romance, reminded me of a Hallmark movie.

Olivia Chasen, a chemist, and a budding writer, is on a cruise to escape spending Christmas with her twin sister and her new fiancé—ex. Jace is a Navy SEAL. He’s on the cruise going to his friend’s wedding. But unknown to them, they are up for a treat of their lifetime, when Mr and Mrs Claus themselves step in to make a perfect Christmas match.

It is a lovely book to bring on the Christmas spirits. I enjoyed every bit of it.

This was a beautiful story! It gave you all the romantic Hallmark Christmas vibes, and kept you smiling. Still a bit early, but this book does help you get in the mood for Christmas!

Dr. Olivia was a wonderful character, and it was a delight to watch her fall in love. Jace was perfectly sweet and lovable. He and Olivia together was a lot of fun, and the chemistry was there from the start. We had wonderful older characters, and were even visited by the amazing Mr. and Mrs. Claus. This book was sweet and a feel good read all around.

First things first, I highly suggest reading the first book of this series, as there are some things mentioned in the second book from the first book. Now that, is out of the way holy cow!!!! She did it again. This author never ceases to amaze me with her writing skills. Not only do we get another awesome badass female lead, she is also has human flaws which makes her relatable. This book follows Sophia in the following events of the first book. There is just so much of this book that I absolutely loved. The storytelling, the writing itself, the characters, everything was amazing and I couldn’t finish it fast enough! I can’t wait see what’s next by this amazing author!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a great 5 star read. We have Breckin and Griff in a small town both trying to move forward from hurtful pasts. Unfortunately Breckin’s past works at the same school as she does. Needing a girls night out she and her two friends go to Griffs bar.

Griff has no intentions of moving forward, his wife was his one true love. But…something about Breckin pulls him in. The more time that these two spend together the closer they become. Can they heal their broken hearts and find true love again?

Overall I really enjoyed this read, my emotions were all over the place. We get LOL moments, drama, crying and so much more. I LOVED all of the characters. Griff’s Grandma and Breckins friends had me LOL so many times. I would love to have a feisty grandma like Griffs. If you’re looking for a great 2nd chance romance that gives you a little bit of everything then this is the one for you. 1-click and get started today.

I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down. This is Harper and Lincoln’s story of a chance encounter with Lincoln saving Harper from drowning to a hot, lustful weekend ending up with a positive pregnancy test. When Lincoln returns to Rhode Island to see Harper after he finishes his movie shoot, he finds out he is going to be a dad. I love how the story unfolds and you also get a feel on the past hurts that haunt both Lincoln and Harper everyday and how they come to overcome these obstacles. This story is wonderful and full some great moments and lots of love, passion and truly a HEA. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

What’s not to like? There’s unpredictability, suspense, action, chemistry, and intrigue. This author has the magic touch in weaving an engaging story. When the heart and body are at odds-true love will always prevail. Enzo, the ever-present protector- torn between being with the love of his life and family honour. Feisty, talented, and resilient Sofia is conflicted between following her heart and being a loyal friend. Toss a tenacious, vile, obsessive antagonist in the mix, and you’ve got a masterpiece. The 2nd book in the series exceeded my expectations. I’m excited to see what this author writes next!

I was not expecting to fall in love with this book and it’s characters! Brant is such a strong loving man with a soft heart. Aubrey is a strong independent woman who doesn’t realize how much her and Brant really need each other! The plot made me not want to put this book down. I wanted to know where the story was going and if Aubrey would see what a great man Brant is. The needing to know who the stalker was kept me guessing and wanting more. This is one of those books you want to finish but don’t really want the story to end. I will definitely be going back and reading the first 3!

A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella by Nicole Richards – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

A Sweet ChristmasA Sweet Christmas by Nicole Richard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Sweet Christmas is a Sweet Confections Novella. It’s a short, fun, festive story! Great for romance lovers looking for something to read around the holidays, when you can get an hour or so to yourself.

For me, the big draw of this story is the baked goods. Thea runs a bakery and there’s plenty of description of the delicious cakes she makes! I love reading about food (although I love eating it more… this book could come with a free cupcake?)

Ben is a great character! I like how much he looks after Thea, and his sister Becca. Becca is also a great character – so friendly and enthusiastic!

There’s a little bit of tension and drama, enough to keep it interesting but not so much that it isn’t a comforting, light read.

This book gets four stars from me! I’d recommend it to romance fans looking for something light but sexy to read over the holidays.

It was a cute book overall, not one of my favs. Without going into detail or give anything away … This book needs some more editing, there was a few issues that aggravated me when reading. I found the beginning a little wonky and a tad too much for me. I get why it was written that way but I guess it wasn’t for me … definitely a Christmas book for the season.

Here comes Nikki, a nanny. She might be a fan favorite. Or at least a fan of Luke’s band! Will things heat up between these two! Will her true fan girl come out!

Bakery owner Thea Sheldon has had some problems with relationships and is hesitant to jump anywhere near the world of dating when she meets Benjamin Sweet. Beyond his good looks and obvious charm, there’s something about him that dares her to hope. Despite this novella being short, I never once felt overwhelmed by the course of the story as I have with similarly sized books. Everything was well-written, steamy, and filled with enough sweets to give me cavities, I ate up the chapters in no time! By the end, I was left wondering where this book has been all my life. If you’re looking for a steamy Christmas romance, you’ve found the right book!

I don’t typically get into romances…much less Holiday themed ones. However, this one was just too cute to pass up and I’m glad I read it! Olivia and her SEAL are such a sweet story together, from the beginning, middle, to the end. I found myself dreaming along with her, and experiencing a full range of emotions.

This was a light, sweet holiday read. It would definitely make a cute Hallmark Christmas movie for sure. The interactions between the characters with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus was a unique touch. I really thought it was crafty that Jace actually exists and that Olivia was truly meant to meet him. That piece for the pairing was really sweet and different. There were some details that I felt kind of took away from the main story but overall I definitely enjoyed it.

When I first picked up this book I expected a sweet holiday romance that was easy to read and a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. What I got was all of that but much more too. I thought the characters were everything in this book. They have such a strong connection – the chemistry is evident right from the start. I really engaged with their story and I wanted to know more about them both.
This really is a brilliant holiday story. It is the kind of book that you can curl up on a sofa with and become immersed in what is going in. This is a great book that is well worth a read.

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer (Curvy Ever After Book 2) by Stephanie Harrell – Review by Karyn Taylor

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer (Curvy Ever After, #2)Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer by Stephanie Harrell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is a great contemporary romance that I gave 4 stars. I had never previously read any of this author’s work but I liked the look for the blurb and was intrigued enough to give this book a go. I’m glad that I chose to give it a go as I really enjoyed it.
Although this book is the 2nd book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I had not read the first book in the series before reading this one.
One thing I really liked about this book is that the female heroine is a larger, curvy lady. It makes such a welcome change from reading about female characters who are slim and ‘perfect’. As a larger, curvier woman myself it is empowering to read a female lead who does not comply with the norm.
I really enjoyed reading Lincoln and Harper’s story. It’s very much an opposites attract story. Harper is your everyday girl next door and Lincoln is an up and coming Hollywood movie star.
The author does a great job of pulling you into the story with an amusing first chapter and the story flows well from here and keeps the reader entertained and engaged in the story.
Would definitely recommend.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was such a sweet and fun little holiday romance read. I loved how it was a simple read. I mean that in a kind way too. Sometimes you just want to pick up a book and fall in love with it without all the drama and fuss, especially around the holidays. We often have enough of our own drama and fuss around them and need the magic and fun reminders when we look for escapes with things like books and art. This gem is just that. The love story of Thea and Ben is set in the perfect of seasons with lots of laughter and love to go around, plenty of sweet treats to be had, and cheer to be enjoyed. I devoured this read in a few short hours and drifted off to sleep to dream about my own holiday romances. The perfect Sunday if you ask me. Don’t wait, grab your copy today for your chance to have yours.

I was so in love with this book and everything that went along with it, it was touching and full of emotions with all those feelings. I loved the craftmanship and the way the author wrote this gripping story, it was not one I could put down at all! It was so good from start to finish, a must read for sure!

Brekin, I truly loved. She was such a sweet heart and she had underwent a loss of what she thought was suppose to real true love. She learned otherwise. I felt for her when her boyfriend left her for the girl on the cheer squad. Believing something is the perfect fit, then its gone, in an blink of an eye! From pain and anger, and well shock she meets Griffin through an unexpected counter Sparks flew, but were they meant to last? Were they to be only as long as a fire work show, or would they blast through the galaxy forever?

I loved their relationship so much! Brekin and Griffin were so good together in more ways than one. I loved how they connected, and needed each other more than they saw fit to realize, and they both came from broken hearts in different circumstances, that truly made them right for each other. There was a lot of emotions with these characters, the story was engaging and so very beautiful, and emotional!

I loved this book as I hope I have made clear. The writing was wonderful and the story along with the characters and character development, that was truly undeniable. I think this is a new favorite author of mine, and I need to read the previous in the series. Amazing read and high recommendation from me!

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship (The Perfect Pairings Series Book 1)Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship by Parker Fairchild
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a fun, enjoyable and engaging Christmas romance which really gave me the festive feeling. Olivia decides to go on a cruise to avoid spending Christmas with her twin sister and fiancé, who happens to be Olivia’s ex boyfriend. Olivia is a chemist and budding romance writer and whilst on the cruise she meets her fictional hero character in real life. Jace, a former Navy SEAL Commander is keen to meet Olivia when he discovers he’s her fantasy hero. Olivia is a bit skeptical, but with the help of the other passengers, especially Mrs. Claus and her Christmas cookies and a lot of Christmas magic, hopefully the couple will explore the connection between them. I loved Olivia and Jace and their chemistry really sizzled off the page. The mix of cruise passengers added to the over all feel of life on board and they all brought something to the story. The storyline had me hooked from start to finish and the setting was brought to life by the descriptive narrative. This was a lovely festive romance and it left me feeling in the Christmas spirit.

This is the second book in this series that I have read and personally, it was even better than the first one. If you are a fan of suspense, intrigue, and romance then you need to read this. I will say that to really understand the plotline and characters you need to read these books in order. They are not stand-alone books. But that’s just my opinion. I was hanging on the edge of my seat reading this book. Honestly, I’ve bitten most of my fingernails off while reading it because I was so engrossed in their story. I love this author’s writing as she has a way of giving small clues without you realizing it. In fact, there were some clues in the 1st book that were foreshadowing of this book and at the time I didn’t realize it but now it all makes sense. I am wondering how many of those are for the 3rd installment. I highly recommend this book to fans of “The Godfather” because this is just as good.

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship (The Perfect Pairings Series Book 1) by Parker Fairfield is a contemporary romance.

Olivia Chasen, a chemist, and aspiring romance writer, is on a cruise to escape spending Christmas with her lovely twin sister and her new fiancé—ex. Olivia’s Her other passengers now believe she’s in love with a fictional figure, owing to her lonely, inebriated ramblings on Santa’s knee. Jace Morse, a former Navy SEAL, has faced a lot of strange situations throughout his career, but he’s never had the honor, pleasure, or privilege of becoming a gorgeous and clever woman’s dream hero come to life. While he hasn’t met the sultry chemist, he is anxious to learn more about the chemistry that is brewing between them. It’ll take more than Christmas cookies and a little help from Mrs. Claus to bring the charming SEAL and the doubting Olivia together; it’ll need a whole lot of Christmas magic.

I loved this story and the concept of it as well. I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is my first book from this author and I can’t wait to read more.

This book is a witty, fun one of romance amidst Christmastime. Olivia is such an easy character to relate to, as is her desire for love. The story brings you into the Christmas spirit (even a self-proclaimed Grinch like me). A pleasant read, the story has sweet love scenes, which is a nice change from some of my favorite genres. There are great comedic moments mixed brilliantly with the not-so-funny moments. If you enjoy Christmas and sweet stories, this is the book for you.

This was a very quick easy read that had me captivated from the very beginning.
This was a new trope for me with Male and Male romance.
This story became a journey and acceptance of death to me and it played out beautifully.
The romance in this story is intoxicating and I wish it was longer.
What would you leave behind in death?
Story of love, and acceptance.
It was very refreshing to read of a shifter plot and romance.
The world that this author has created has you deep diving deeper and deeper you read.
I hope there are stories created for each character individually because this story has me attached and ready to explore their world.
You can’t go wrong with this read it’s quick and inviting.
Five stars with hopes of more to come.

This story was an unexpected surprise. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series but it was easy to connect the dots with the other characters. An afternoon quick read
This is a cute cruise ship romance. With Christmas cheer, Santa and Mrs Claus and hot Navy SEALs there was a lot of merriment (and drinking) going on. A couple of times I found the dialogue a little choppy and stilted especially between Olivia and Jace but this didn’t distract me from the story line. A light hearted romance with an abundance of Christmas cookies made this the perfect choice for an afternoon delight.
