This was a great ending to this trilogy! It was an edge-of-the-seat read to try and figure out the conclusion to who leaked important information for the Navy SEALS and to find out Tyler’s story in all of this! Malina Johansson is an analyst for the Navy Seals and just so happens to work on the team of her high school crush, Tyler. When a night in Vegas changes their relationship Malina must open herself up to the opportunity of a relationship with Tyler and put her past behind her, that is until it becomes part of her present. When Malina is accused of treason and flees, she runs to the only man who can keep her safe, Tyler and his family’s island. Together, along with Tyler’s brothers, they figure out who caused the trouble with the Navy SEALs missions and figure out how they can have a lasting relationship together. I really enjoyed the series and how each book was about one of the brothers and included information not only about their relationship with the woman of their dreams but also about secrets from the past and intertwined the Navy missions as well! I had a difficult time putting these books down and I highly recommend them to anyone who loves suspense novels with a mix of romance! You won’t be disappointed in this series! Amy McKinley is a new author to me, and I can’t wait to read her next series and get lost once again in her characters and storylines!

I never hesitate to pick up this author’s books. They are exciting, fun and entertaining to read. They are well written and have a realistic feel. This book is no different. This is a romance story where the characters pop off the pages. I enjoyed watching their growth and seeing their chemistry throughout the story. This is Setter and Casey’s story. Casey finds herself in the library one night when a prank puts Setter in the same place. Now he can’t seem to stop thinking about her and she can’t seem to shake him. Will these two learn they have so much to learn from each other? What will fate have in store for these two? They are such connectable characters and just made the story for me. A great story that I would highly recommend.

This sweet YA Romance by Krysten Lindsay Hager, Competing with the Star is the second book in the series. As I said before Krysten is known for her YA romances and it is what she does best. It is full of drama and angst, insecurity and anxiety, jealousy, and high emotions makes life hard enough as a teenager but without confidence and trust self-doubt is a bad thing. Mean girls and bullies, lies and deceit, love, and betrayal and so much more will delight YA readers.

I loved this book! Casey and Setter were brilliant characters. I loved Setter for his fun, carefree attitude and Casey for her more reserved, focussed way of thinking. Together they made a great team and I could tell from the beginning of the story there was going to be something between them – opposites definitely attracted in this story! I really felt for Casey at the beginning of the story – I could really feel her sadness coming across with everything that had happened to her in her past. I really wanted Setter to be the one to make her see that she definitely has a life worth living! This was definitely a feel-good romance story; I haven’t read the other books in this series but I absolutely will be now! A brilliant read and one I highly recommend!

This is my first book by this author and it did not disappoint. The writing is really easy to read and the story has a really good flow. The mix of time travel, witches and romance was very well executed. The characters were relatable and the world building good. The ending felt a bit rushed but came to a natural conclusion. No cliffhanger but the world has been developed to continue with side characters into book 2.

Setter is at college to party, play pranks, and play football…academics are somewhere near the bottom of the list of things he wants to do. Casey is a studious, hard-working, self-proclaimed nerd. She has dealt with some trauma in the past that has her spending more time at the library than out with friends. When she covers for Setter to keep him out of trouble one evening, their crazy friendship begins.
This story reads like a crazy tv show…and I loved every minute of it. Setter has a wild side that he shows the world…which is the opposite of Casey’s reserved side…and they definitely balance each other. Both characters grow throughout the story and made it wonderful to read. Can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

This series is a collaboration by 12 talented authors who, over the course of the year, have/will each release their story- one new release each month of the year #winning! Anyway, this is Danielle Jacks contribution, and as I have read most of her other books, I was curious to see what she had going on here. It is a contemporary college romance, with quirky endearing characters, and a fun storyline. It definitely surprised me, in a good way- I knew it would be well written, but the story was sweeter and had more depth than the title may have led me to believe. College football jock meets nerdy girl, and the sparks fly. Setter is out to have a good time, playing hard on and off the field- always up for a good prank. Casey is the serious student- locking herself away to study, trying hard to forget her past. When fate brings these two together, get ready for some fun and sizzle. I look forward to exploring the rest of the Frat House Confessions series, as well as more from Ms. Jacks!

Avenging Devil Part One is the third book in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series by Manda Mellett. As the title suggests, this story is set to continue in part two and ends on quite an intense cliffhanger- but no need to worry, the second part is set to release soon, so thankfully we don’t need to be on tenterhooks for long. But OMG, I am going to be counting down to get my hands on the second instalment and continue reading just so I can find out what happens. Manda Mellett certainly put her characters, and me, through the wringer with this story. I have read all of Ms. Mellett’s books now and can rely on her to bring something new each and every time. She always manages to toy with my emotions, weaving layers, tension, dramatic developments, and complexity into every storyline. And this story was a great example of that. As with the rest of the Satan’s Devils stories- this is an MC romance, with plenty to keep you flipping the pages and finding excuses to stay in the story just so you can keep reading. I won’t get into the story here, as I don’t want to spoil it for you- m=but if you are a MC romance lover, a fan of Manda Mellett- or just enjoy romantic suspense- then you definitely won’t want to miss this story. I just can’t get enough of this author!! In Forged by Secrets, Melina tries extremely hard to avoid and keep her walls up when encountering a Navy SEALs “frenemy”, Ty. However, she knows she is so drawn to him, so when she is accused of treason the first person she thinks she could trust to help her is Ty. This is a pretty quick read and from the start has action. Once again, Amy McKinley does an amazing job of blending romance and action together to create this great read. Make sure this makes your list if you love falling for characters in a book!

The Don is the first book of Hazel Storm’s Her Three Immortals series starring beautician Vanessa Maan and her sudden embroilment in the lives of three beautiful Gods— Grey, the Don of the Underworld, Aroz, a harbinger of love, and Raef, the sauve billionaire. Dark and sensual, Storm depicts a mortal world that Gods and Goddesses alike treat as their own personal playground while also intricately weaving details about the Upperworld and Underworld— the realms of the immortal and dead— into her story in a manner that isn’t hamfisted and jarring. By the end of the book, I had a clear understanding as to how these celestial worlds worked— from the operation of the afterlife down below all the way up to the complicated politics and tense relationships between the deities above the clouds. The way Storm brings these worlds to life through vivid descriptions and colourful characters- almost so much so that I believed they could be real— is an attestation to her expertise and talent.
Of course, a book revolving around three ‘sexy-as-sin’ Gods is only as good as the men themselves and The Don certainly delivers on all fronts, Grey, Aroz and Raef, despite being half-brothers, couldn’t be more wildly different from each other, thus making them unique and distinct. It’s undeniable that each of them are handsome, but their beauty isn’t just skin deep— they’re rich and interesting characters beyond a surface level and this is conveyed through Storm’s use of multiple perspectives throughout the book. Grey, Aroz and Raef all have chapters dedicated to telling the events of the story through their eyes, allowing readers to grasp how they specifically feel in the moment and to better discern their motives and circumstances. It’s a tool that Storm uses skillfully to drive the narrative forward and explore experiences and the world beyond Vanessa Maan.
This brings me to what is by far The Don’s greatest strength— Vanessa Maan herself. It’s no surprise why our heroine has captured the attention of some of the most attractive bachelors around- she is a truly kind and good soul whose goal in life is to bring a touch of joy and beauty into the lives of others and to assist her younger brother in any way she can. Storm crafts Vanessa in such a way that makes readers sympathise with her plight and root for her to find her happily ever after. That’s not to say that Vanessa is a meek wallflower— she is proactive and takes destiny into her own hands which makes her all the more compelling. Her tenacity, wittiness and heart is echoed and bolstered by the characters around her— from interactions with her adoring brother and mother to the banter with the old ladies that frequent her salon and her exquisite fashion sense, Vanessa’s vibrant personality shines. Picking up the second book is therefore a must if only to follow the next steps in Vanessa’s journey.
All-in-all, The Don is not a book to pass over. If you’re in the market for some steamy romance entangled in a web of feuding Gods and Goddesses, then this story will fill that quota.

Tangled Roots (Witches of Willow Creek: Tangled Magic Book 1) by Denise D. Young will delight the senses of paranormal lovers. The intrigue was so great that I had to go back and start at the beginning as I inadvertently started with Tangled Fates which is the second book in this series. So, from the beginning and the first book Tangled Roots is a great paranormal tale that is a fantastic start to this series. This story tells of one Witch who finds herself lost in another time knowing there is danger on its way. What is the old saying “be careful of what you weave?” Well apparently, this Witch wove her magic, and it went wrong. With witches and magic, drama, and romance. This short story kept me glued to the pages. I cannot wait to see what Denise gives us next. Reviewed by @jennadb

Manda Mellett does an amazing job in this new spin off series. This story is a little different take on the usual MC romance. I love that Manda shows us, even though you may have physical disabilities, a gal deserves her happily ever after, MC style. I can’t wait to read other books in this series, I know I won’t be disappointed

The Don (Her Three Immortals Book One) by Hazel Storm was an incredible read! This book felt really quick, and I read it in no time! I loved all the characters, and quickly lost in the pages of this novel. It was interesting because I’ve never read a book before where the author has mixed demons and angels with the Greek gods and kind of threw together different mythologies. It was a very interesting and intriguing read. I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series!

Let me just say that the models picked for the covers of these books are HOT and fantastic eye-candy. As an older reader, I love these older characters such as Grumbler and Lost, they definitely pull in the ladies. I never knew an MC could be so intriguing to pull me in. Lost is so conflicted due to troubles in the past. When the Pueblo MC chapter asks for help keeping Patsy and Connor safe, Lost gets intertwined and is attracted to Patsy. Patsy is trying to keep Connor safe but is troubled because she misses Beth, her daughter. The two are trying to work on their relationship, the danger, and balancing his work. Can they do it? Again, the author knocks my socks off. Fan for life here

In Danielle Jacks’ book Confessions of a Sophomore Prankster, Casey Nelson and Brandon Setter are complete opposites when it comes to studying. Casey is the beautiful, smart blonde who spends most of her free time in the campus library studying. Setter, on the other hand, is the running back for the Preston University football team, is a well-known prankster, and rarely shows up for a class on time.
On the night when Setter first lays eyes on Casey, he is running from the campus police trying to help his friends get away after a prank. And last, we have Raef. Meeting him turned her attitude toward men on its head. And as good as forced her to add a third category to the list. Gentlemen.

This is the 1st book in the Satan’s Devils MC series. This is an MC Romance novel and is 376 pages in length. This story follows Wraith and Sophie. Sophie is imprisoned in a wheelchair due to her best friends abusive boyfriend. Now she is in the protection of the Satan’s Devils MC. Wraith is the VP of Satan’s Devils and has taken a quick liking to Sophie. The one thing that made her feel somewhat safe at the club, was the fact that these bikers are very protective. With Sophie being in a wheelchair, her self-worth is at its lowest point. Wraith needs to change her mind and make her see what he sees. Just as he was about to do just that, everything fell apart. Definitely a good read!!

Competing With The Star is the follow-up book to Next Door To The Star by Krysten Lindsay Hager. It is a sweet young adult romance that I really enjoyed (although I’m far from a young adult these days, lol). I had enjoyed Next Door To The Star but I must say that I enjoyed this book more than the first one. Having moved next door to tv star Simone and becoming friends with her, Hadley is now struggling when she finds out that her boyfriend Nick used to be totally infatuated with Simone. She feels that she can’t compete with the beautiful former tv star. It’s her first ever boyfriend and she doesn’t know how to deal with it. Added to the is the group of girls she now hangs around with. I mentioned in my review of the first book that every teenage girl should read the book. Well they should then follow it with this one. It’s such an accurate representation of how cliquey, bitchy and nasty teenage girls are, even when they are your friend, never mind them being your enemy. I love Hadley’s character and see a lot of my teenage self in her. I never really felt that I fitted in with any group of girls and felt like an outsider at times. She’s a fantastic character that I’m sure a lot of teenage girls can relate to. Another must read for all teenage girls.

Holy Smokes! I have become a fan for life of this author’s work. Her books consist of strong characters that overcome severe challenges. This one does not fail to meet those requirements. The characters make you think. The plot is so realistic. it could apply to anyone. I personally love how they all intertwine and work together. Another winner with a POW cliffhanger.

Just when you think an Author is heading one way BAM she surprises you with an epic twist in a story that you thought you knew everything about. These characters had to work their asses of to reach their HEA Dakota Willink did a superb job with wrapping up this amazing trilogy. In the end I’ve grown to like the female narrator more.

Cassie is a witch and loves using her air magic. Her brother hates her and her parents want to lock her away. After graduation Cassie runs away to New York but ends up in Willow Creek. Cassie is welcomed by a coven and feels the love of family for the first time. She is still being hunted by her brother who wants to drag her home. She will do anything for that not to happen and she does. Watch what you wish for. This was a great story and a quick easy read. I want to read more of the continuing story of Cassie and Nick who are destined to be together.

I love YA books and this was no exception. I read it in one sitting I enjoyed it so much. Took me back to high school and first love that the world revolves around. Hadley is a down to earth teenager, that has a lot of doubt and insecurities that most of us experience as we mature and discover who we are and who we want to be. She has changed schools and went from having one good friend to finding a circle of friends she regularly hangs out with. But can she trust everyone in that circle? I enjoyed how Hadley struggles with finding who her true friends are and finding connections that were kind of a surprise. She is in love with Nick and I love how their story was sweet and innocent and didn’t just jump in to physical relations. I feel like a lot of high school stories now are all about drinking, drugs, and sex. It was a beautiful story that I would read again.

I love it when a sequel is just as good or even better than the first. After the exciting end of the first book I just had to jump into the second book and I’m really happy to say that I love it more than the first. the characters have definitely grown from the first book and their relationship is soooooo complicated but in a good way. Well done Dakota!!! The narrator has grown on me from the first.

Author Amy Mckinley is one of my favorite authors, she always takes us places we all want to be in such detail. Not all of us get the chance to visit other countries and reading is one of the easiest ways to do that. This is why I like authors that can transport us there without much effort. It is one of the reasons why I love to read, she gives us such a sense of being there and adding great characters along the way just add to our enjoyment.

This is Niran and Saffie’s story. Saffie has run from the man she calls husband. Living in hiding and never feeling safe. She is unbelievably strong. When she comes across Niran, she feels safe but keeps her distance in order to remain in hiding. She wants nothing to do with MCs or those who belong to them. Niran is in a MC, Satan’s Devils to be exact. He has a kind heart and is always willing to help others. When he finds Saffie scared and crying, he goes to her rescue. But will Saffie let him help? Will Niran be the help she needs? Will they be safe and will the Satan’s Devils come to help?
Manda Mellett has done it once again. This story will draw you in and keep you reading. The knowledge she holds about MCs is unbelievable. I love Niran and Saffie, as well as the other characters. The emotional Rollercoaster was incredible and Dark at the same time. Be prepared to put your emotions on your sleeve. Worst of all, this book ends in a cliffhanger. Now I need to wait for part two of Niran and Saffie’s incredible story. Well Done Manda Mellett! Well Done!
