This is the perfect suspenseful romantic story. In front of your fireplace, doors locked tight and a glass of wine to help calm your nerves. This is one of the scariest stories I have read in a longtime. Don’t get me wrong, you will love it. Dolan and Daughter. Dolan Is a FBI agent who is trying to keep his mind together as he finds a gruesome killer. Daughter is a psychologist who is trying to help Dolan and stay alive herself. As there is nowhere to run and hide. They must face danger together to save both of them. Will they survive and capture this killer? No spoilers here.

Abbie Roads…..Thanks for this fast paced, edge of your seat story. I only checked the doors half a dozen times while reading. This story is well written and will give your emotions a run for their money. I love a book that can keep me intrigued and scared at the same time. You will fall in love with the characters in this story. Daughter is a strong independent woman and Dolan is a protective strong willed man. Together they make this story complete. I look forward to reading more from this author! Job well done Abbie Roads. Well Done!

Capturing Fate is the 2nd book in the Fatal Truth series by Abbie Roads. When I read this book I was not aware that there was a book that came before it and I certainly didn’t feel that I was lacking in any information when reading this one. This was my first time reading this author and I’m always wary when trying out a new author. I needn’t have worried as I loved this book.
I will say that it took me a little time to get into the book. When I read the first few chapters I just didn’t get the feel of it. So I put it down to try again later. When I picked it up later I was hooked into the story very quickly and did not want to put it down. I just put it down to me not being in the right frame of mind because this story had me totally gripped.
For me the best part of the book is the section that takes place on the island. Daughter’s interaction with the men on the island really grabbed me and was the ultimate page turner.
This book is filled with so much danger, drama, suspense and intrigue. The author does a fantastic job of weaving a compelling story. Add to that the romance between Daughter and Dolan and this book was just everything I enjoy in a book.

At All by Mindy McKinley a fabulous four-star read that will bring music to your ears. This is number three in the Adams Brothers series; they could be read individually but you do get the best out of all of the brothers reading them together. Enemies to lovers is always a good genre in my eyes, I always like the ups and downs, and this one has plenty. This one will keep you on your toes and have your heart pounding, it’s a well-done story overall and one you will enjoy.

Hell in a Handbasket by Naomi Valkyrie a fiery five-star read. This is number three in the Life is Hell series and it has been a great series, its so well written and there is an attention to detail that you just don’t normally see. I would say to read them all and read them in order, as they build on each other and the characters gel better the more you know them, you get deeper into the story. The characters have depth and feel like people/demons/demon hunters that you need to get to know. This is a great story and one you need in your life.

It’d turn into so much more than just a sale of a house a demon is after Trent soul and there a connect between these two souls. Bottom line is that’s what this book is, fun reading.

It’s definitely a different way. How they start to interact with each other is phenomenonal. The adding on of Demonology got me even more hooked into the story is amazing.

Is This Me? (Being Me #1) by Tricia Copeland was a great 5 star read.

Amanda is starting her first year of college. What’s great is her two friends are there as well and when she gets there they take her out to a party. This is where she meets Doug and Zack, two very hot seniors. She has a connection with Doug, they have a lot of things in common.

Doug just had a bad breakup and keeps giving Amanda mixed signals. Zack also shows some interest in Amanda. Who will capture her heart?

Overall this was a good read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. I really liked all of the characters, they added a great element to the story. Of course we get all the drama that comes with college. Amanda had me slightly frustrated at times with her choices but I got over it. Reading this book makes you feel like your back in school and part of the group. If you’re looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today.

Coyote Summer by Laura Koerber is a coming of age romance. Beware there may be triggers as the story delves into a lot of things but the main one is rape. I also thought that the story was a little all over the place and disconnected. Then there are the questionable morals and lack of conscience. The story is told in the POV of a young man. My emotions were all over the place with this one and unfortunately it didn’t tick the boxes for me.

At All by Mindy McKinley is book three of the Adams Brothers series. I couldn’t get enough of this series and this book! I read it in one sitting!

This book is Sebastian’s story. We saw a bit of Seb in Mason’s book and I wasn’t sure I was going to like him. Seb redeems himself throughout his story. Seb hit his rock bottom and now he has to work to prove he’s made a recovery. To keep himself busy while he’s grounded from touring, he teaches music lessons. He’s not psyched about it but he needs something and this keeps him close to music. This is where he meets Maelie. Maelie is happy with her life. Teaching is her dream even if her father thinks she should be performing. Maelie and Seb meet at the music store but they don’t exactly hit it off at first. Seb is convinced he can win her over though.

I really enjoyed reading Seb and Maelie’s story. I loved watching them develop. Seb redeemed himself in my eyes and I grew to love his character. I highly recommend this book and the series!

Here’s another one! Naomi Valkyrie has got the key to writing an interesting, attention grabbing book. You really get pulled into this story and live it. The attention to detail is so thought out you can really feel the moments. I have enjoyed all the books before this one. But this one is taking the lead. Characters and character development were great. There was action and mystery. The author really gives you a taste of everything in this story. I love paranormal stories and this one doesn’t disappoint. You laugh and want to throw your phone. We follow Oren a demon hunter and Teivel a demon. There is romance so don’t think she forgot to add that. This one will make you laugh a lot. Very excited for the next book.

I just can’t believe how much I loved this story. I really was looking forward to Seb’s and I was worried it might be too dark. I was bothered for no reason. I was concerned he would be self centered but nope…Seb is just the nicest, sweetest guy. I enjoyed getting to know a bit more about him. Maelie is exactly what he needs. I could see it coming about as they got to know each other. I really could feel the connection between these two.

I love love LOVED all the great scenes with his brothers and family. The fun and teasing makes me just smile fondly and I just soak it up. I have a few fun passages highlighted just as a reminder how thankful I was to get to know this family.

This author does a good job of making me enjoy the book as well as fall for these characters. The is a last book of a wonderful series. It you want a light hearted story and leaves you with the feel-good fuzzies….pick this or this series up.

Hell In A Handbasket by Naomi Valkyrie is the third book in the Life Is Hell series. This is another absolutely fantastic addition to such an incredible series. I was to excited to start reading this book after after enjoying the previous two so much. This book immediately became my favourite of the series – if not one of my favourites from the author. I love how connected I feel to all the characters, how that relationship has been built up from book 1 to now. It makes it so easy to slip straight back into their story, to feel like you are right there with them.
This book was just so well written. There was a level of detail in it that you don’t see from many books. I found myself so caught up in what was happening that I didn’t expect the twist when it came.
If you aren’t yet familiar with this author or this series I would suggest rectifying they today – you definitely won’t regret it.

Unfortunately, he does not seem interested. Later, she gets injured playing volleyball and the same hottie from the frat party offers to take care of her. Unfortunately for her, she does not have a choice. She hates having to depend on people, but she needs someone to help her after her injury. Amanda is starting to have feelings for him, but he seems withdrawn towards her. What is his problem?

Coyote Summer – Laura Koerber

Coyote Summer is truly the most unique book I’ve read in a very long time. It’s a coming-of-age story full of unexpected, intriguing and surprising moments. The story is written from the main characters POV, and I thought the author did a great job in portraying the young man’s thoughts and feelings. They seemed really true and honest for someone with his status and age.

Though I enjoyed this book I did at times feel lost and unsure of how everything was going to be connected as there are some magical realism aspects thrown into the storyline. They certainly weren’t my favorite part but they definitely kept me intrigued the whole way through.

I really enjoyed how this story kept me on my toes and had me feeling all kinds of emotions from start to finish. It’s a story I’ll never forget!

I enjoyed this story. It may be a trigger for some but if you are able to get past the subject, it truly is a great story. This is a story about a group of kids that society expected to be promident adults like their parents. What will happen when one tragic incident changes things for them? This story is written with a lot of emotion and I felt that through the characters as they bring the story to life. I had no problems connecting with them as they go through consequences of one person’s actions. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

This is my first read by this author, and what an epic story to get me started! This was a brilliant paranormal romance read, with a mentally visual storyline and epic characters that really pull you in and connect you with the story. This read was fast-paced, action packed and captivating from the get go! I absolutely loved these characters and watching them grow and develop throughout the read, they have incredible chemistry and a connection that is undeniable. I loved the weave of magic, history and romance and it left me wanting more! I highly recommend this read.

Well that was a little bit of a surprise. Vance to be honest I don’t like his character or attitude. This book had many twist and turns to be honest it took me a few chapters to get into it. It a very clean Romance and adds in dark elements relating to slavery which was unexpected. I wish there was more to this story as I felt the ending was abrupt.

Coyote Summer by Laura Koerber is another original story with plenty of thought provoking content. Again, Ms. Koerber brings a realism and complete believability to her story- making you feel as if this actually happened. I was completely engrossed right off the bat.
The story does centre around a sensitive topic, rape- but Ms. Koerber doesn’t use it gratuitously, but it is central to the story as a whole. This is ultimately a magical realism coming of age story- with drama, angst, and a first-person POV.
Ms. Koerber takes a different approach here, giving us the perspective of the male witness to a rape, Ben- as he struggles with what he saw, did, and didn’t do. His struggle with how to deal with it all is what really sets this book apart, and made for an intriguing read.
This story is an unusual blend of a character study, fantasy, coming of age, crime, a little mystery, and magical realism. I wasn’t sure of what I would make of it when I purchased it- but having read some of the author’s previous work I thought I would take a chance, and I am glad that I did.

Gunner is the sixth book in the Eidolon Black Ops series by Maddie Wade. This is a romantic suspense- with plenty of drama, action, adventure, danger, chemistry, surprising developments, thrills, intrigue, mystery, romance, redemption, and emotion. I have read quite a few of Ms. Wades stories now and have a pretty good idea of what to expect- but she always manages to keep things interesting and fresh. From the very first page, until the last word, I was hooked- I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting, loving every minute.
This story also pulls together threads from previous books, as well as dealing with the underlying storyline which has bridged the series. There is so much that comes to light- bringing plenty of emotion with it.
I really felt for Gunner and what he’d been through- he’s carried so much guilt, grief, and self-loathing for so long- and the secrets/truths that are revealed brought so much perspective- and made me see things in a new light.
Loved Gunner and Lacey so much!
Can’t wait to see what Ms. Wade has in store for us next!

Gunner (Eidolon Black Ops #6) by Maddie Wade was a great 5 star read.
I was excited to finally get Gunner’s story.

This was a heart wrenching story, especially when we learn more about why Gunner made the choices he did. Lacey originally met Gunner when the Eidolon team saved her from her ex. When they come face-to-face again you can feel the connection between them.

Can Lacey and Gunner move forward from their pasts and have a HEA? Will the Eidolon team forgive Gunner for his choices?

Overall this was a great read. My emotions were all over the place. We get suspense, drama, action and so much more. All of the characters added a great element to the story. We also get lots of twists and turns. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. This can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest reading from the beginning so you can meet all of the characters. If you’re looking for a great series, 1-click and get started on this one today.

Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland. I’ve recently been introduced to this awesome author and I’ve enjoyed most I’ve read so far, but I have to say this is probably my favorite so far. The characters are complex and relatable, they easily pulled me right into their world. I liked getting lost in this story, it’s a wonderful coming of age story that kept me engaged the entire book. Couldn’t put this one down. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Coming of age books can sometimes make me frustrated because the characters do things that make me want to smack them but I also think that’s a true feeling on how well the story is written because you feel strongly. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Four stars and highly recommended.

Ride with the Moonlight (Thunder on the Moor Book 2) by Andrea Matthews was amazing. This is the second book in this series and I definitely recommend reading the first book before this one. I was so excited for this book after reading the first. You find romance, time travel, fantasy, action and adventure along with so much more. This book continues the journey of Maggie and Will, but can they stay safe? How will things work during their journey together? I became so hooked on this book, the way the author brings it to life is amazing, and then the characters no matter who they are, are amazing!!! I love this and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Black Dog Rising by Kat Caulberg. This was a new author for me and I’m definitely looking forward to more from her. This book was packed with adventure, mystery and drama. When it comes to this genre of books I have to be really in the mood but I found myself easily drawn into this storyline and couldn’t put it down. The characters are complex and well developed, they captured my attention straight away and I couldn’t stop. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Even with so much happening it never feels bogged down and heavy. I loved going on this adventure with the characters and I’m excited to see more from this author. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.
