Two lives. Two stories. One fateful afternoon family secrets are uncovered from the hidden depths of the past.
Maggie ~ 1966: “I never thought my life would fall apart in the way that it did. Nineteen, alone, and with a baby on my hip, I fled from all I knew–the city I lived in, my friends, my parents, and him. It was the only thing I could do.
And that’s when I found Shadow Brook, a tiny town in Maine with a beautiful inn, and a place where I could forget about my past, locking the memories away along with the secrets that could shatter my daughters’ world. Secrets, I left in the attic where they belong, hidden far away from her.”
Rachel ~ 1996: “I never wanted my mother’s life or her run down inn in nowhere Maine. I wanted my life in New York. The one with my handsome husband, fantastic career, and the bustle of city life. Isn’t that when life likes to throw you to the wolves?
After finding my husband in bed with another woman and my mother passed away, I found myself not only the new owner of the inn, but also back in Shadow Brook, and face to face with old my high-school boyfriend, Luke. At least I can distract myself with the renovations, and I can finally clear out all of my mother’s things. Including an old box of journals and letters found in the corner of the attic.”

I’m a history-lovin’ author who writes in her fuzzy pants and loves her horses! My stories have a pinch of sweetness, a dash of spice, and a dollop of history.
Growing up in Nevada, reading was always a pastime that took second place to trail riding and showing horses. When I did find the time in my youth to curl up with a book, I found enjoyment in the Saddle Club Series, the Sweet Valley High series, and the classics of Anne of Green Gables, The Box Car Children, and Little House on the Prairie. Although writing always piqued my curiosity, it wasn’t until September 2009 that I worked up the courage to put my passion to paper and started my debut novel.
I live on a ranch with my husband, two daughters, and many farm animals. When I’m not writing, I spend my days from dawn to dusk as a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I also work in my garden and takes care of my many farm animals, as well as I love to bake and cook from scratch. While I don’t show horses anymore, I still love to trail ride my paint horse, Honky, as well as I, enjoy teaching my daughters how to ride their horses, Sunburst and Cowboy.

Another Yesterday by Angela Christina Archer is the second book in the Seashells and Second Chances Collection. It is a book of two tales that draws on all of your emotions. I loved reading about the 2 different generations and everything they both go through. I found it so easy to connect with the two characters and their respective stories. The author has really developed two well round and complex characters. The story itself had everything you could want as well. I found it to be highly emotional which helped me to connect with it even more. As the first book that I have read by this author I was impressed with the writing style and how the whole book progressed. I will definitely be reading more by this author in the future.

Clark is a known author to me but this genre was a new one from her for me. And I loved it! Sometimes when dystopian and romance are mixed they become diluted and predictable. But this story had all of the elements well established and the plot kept quick pace and kept me guessing. I loved this story and cannot wait to go back and read it again.

This is a beautiful story about a mother and daughter. About their lives and the secrets they keep and the secrets that are found. Its a heartwarming story about love and forgiveness and shows that you never really know someone’s story.
Maggie runs away from her home town. Leaving behind her parents, her friends and him. The Him being the father of her little girl Rachel. Being a young mum she flees to a small town of Shadow Brook where she rebuilds her life at the little Inn.
Fast forward 30 years and Rachel is a grown married woman. The last place she wants to be is working at the Inn her mother took on in the sleepy village of Shadow Brook, but when her mother passes away and she finds her husband has been unfaithful she runs back to the Inn.
When she starts to do the Inn up she find a box in the attic of her mothers letters and journal and she finally learns the truth of her mothers story. When she rekindles her romance with her old school sweetheart she thinks maybe she could build her life here just as her mum has before her.
I really enjoyed this book. There was laughter and sadness and twists that I didn’t see coming but it was a very touching story.

Dares & Dice : Spicetopia #5 by Phoebe Alexander. When you want hot, sexy and steamy……. this is most definitely the author to turn to!!!! Ms. Alexander pulls you in and keeps you wanting more and more. She is one of my favorite authors and I always look forward to her books. Sometimes, you never know what to expect but always know, you will thoroughly enjoy reading her books. When I read the blurb, I was a little skeptical about how the story might go but I loved it!!!!! I fell in love with Makenna and Ty’s characters. I can not wait too see what comes next from Ms. Alexander!!!
This author was born with a gift and I’m so happy I get to read her gifts to the world. Milo and Jill, ugh these two had me hooked to the pages from beginning to end. I love when an author can get a back and forth in time correct. It has to flow well and this did just that. You get everything in this story and I loved every minute. Great series. Great book, and amazing author!

Blind Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells
5-Stars
Blind Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells was a wonderful paranormal romance. I could not put thus book down. I was immediately hooked by Sera’s character and her loss of sight. I was fascinated and curious. Did Ian cause the change to happen quicker? I had to know. As I read I learned more about what was causing her issue and had a magnificent adventure. All the crazy magical beings and attacks were invigorating! Ian was amazing and do were many of the other characters. I loved this book and it is an easy 5-stars for me. It kept me interested, had an excellent plot, and a surprising climax. I highly recommend this book.

This book is top notch! The author writes with a vividness that makes this hard to put down! It is filled with action, suspense and characters you can stand behind. The characters are lively and full of zest. Ian and Sera are great and full of depth. It was nice to watch them change and become more then possibly lose it all again. They drew me in and I couldn’t get to that last page fast enough. Just to find out what happens. The secondary characters are fun! I really like Finn and Violet. They really have some great banter and I can’t wait for their story! All of the secondary characters are wonderful. They are full and give enough to make the reader wonder about them. The author just surprises me at every turn. I did not read book 1 and I was hesitant to read this because I don’t believe in crossing species and witches aren’t my favorite characters. But I am so HAPPY I gave this one a shot! I might even go back and read book 1. But I am really looking for Finn’s story.

Martimus (Feisty Lawyers Book 5) By Seelie Kay 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Martimus (Feisty Lawyers Book 5) by Seelie Kay. It is a story that has suspense, romance, action, and danger. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a fast-paced book that had me hooked. The Agency is looking for eight socialites that have gone missing. No one seems to care until the daughter of a former vice president becomes one of the missing. Where are they? Will they be found? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the different characters and how they all fit into the storyline. There are those who I would call “the good guys” who are looking for the missing and then there are those who have an agenda and plans. Will they succeed or will the Agency along with MISix agent Tilly Henderson be able to interrupt those plans? This book is very detailed and is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. If you love books that have you turning pages and in constant suspense, this is the book for you. I highly recommend reading it.

Two rebellious souls… An innocent deception… One scorching catastrophe…
Fenella Franklin is too tall, too intelligent, and has no title. Her talents lie in numbers and a keen business mind, not in the art of flirtation. When she becomes the object of a cruel wager during her come-out in London, she vows to put off the penniless noblemen vying for her sizeable dowry. But her season is cut short after her mother discovers the subterfuge, and Fenella retreats to Scotland.
Lachlan MacNaughton has neither the temperament nor the patience to be the next MacNaughton chief, preferring to knock heads together rather than placate bickering clansmen. He readily accepts a reprieve to help with the family’s textile mill in Glasgow. A sizzling chance encounter in the rain introduces him to the new female bookkeeper. His grandfather may want him back in the Highlands, but his heart has been lost in the Lowlands.
The attraction between Fenella and Lachlan sparks a passion not even two rebellious souls can deny. But an innocent deception tests their newfound love and threatens the freedom they both crave.

India Kells is a go-to author of mine so any book I get the chance to read I jump at.
Blind Magic is book 2 in The Sanctuary Chronicles Series, and by some chance, I missed book 1 and dove straight into Book 2 but boy this wasn’t an issue!
I absolutely loved this read, I couldn’t put it down, I was utterly captivated and entranced by this storyline and these brilliant characters. This is an epic mentally visual read that transported me into this world where I followed along with the characters’ journeys and didn’t want them it to end! This book had everything you could need from a supernatural/paranormal romance read, it has action, adventure, romance, twists and turns, mystery & magic, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single second of it!
I highly recommend this read and can’t wait to dive into Book 3!

I loved this book. This is an author that is becoming one of my favorites. I enjoy her attention to details as well as how well written her stories are. I have no problem connecting with the characters. They made me feel as if I was part of the story which made it engaging and easy to read. This is a mystery, suspenseful story that kept me turning pages to the end. There is alot going on in this book but I had no problems keeping up. Agent Cate has a new assignment of finding missing socialites but it could put a strain on her relationship with Warren. The Vice President is telling a tale of an underwater city named Matimus. Problem is how do they find it? Survival becomes a race against time to bring out the enemy and into their trap. What happens you will never see coming. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I loved this anthology. This is eight great stories by some awesome authors. Each one brings romance and heat to the story. The characters pop off the pages and into your heart. They are written with a lot of heart and soul which makes them easy to read. My favorite is by Tamara Ferguson- Two Heart’s Alliance. This story pulled me in right from the beginning. This is a story about a marriage of convenience and someone who wants to destroy that. Can it be more than an alliance for them or could there be more? My other favorite story is Natalie Ann’s – Eternal. I had no problem connecting with the characters and fell in love with them. This is a story about two people who say love is not for them but will they change their minds? What will fate have in store for them? I enjoyed all of the stories and I highly recommend it.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m going back to read book 1 immediately! I loved this book- from the way she wrote the story itself to the characters I met. You get such a range of emotions from this book- sappy, sexy, serious- it’s a win all the way around. The story follows Milo and Jill, two people who haven’t seen each other for the last 12 years. Both of these characters were written so perfectly- with flaws and all. If you’ve never read Sylvie Stewart- you NEED to!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I absolutely loved it! I was a really easy read and had wonderful characters. The authors writing style was really relaxed which made the book such a pleasure to read and that along with the pace and flow definitely made it a 5 star read in my opinion. I think I fell in love with Melinda and Adam from the very beginning, both of them with their own issues to overcome and I could feel the genuine connection that they seemed to have. This was a really lovely second-chance romance story and one that I would absolutely recommend to other readers! I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

This is where the story really begins, as Sera loses an important part of who she is and discovers feelings that threaten to overwhelm her. She will need to uncover her past, present and future, how they all link together and what the consequences of these may be. While she does this, she is surrounded by friends and allies who rally around her and will protect her at all costs, but what will the costs be and how will she know what the right choices are?
You will be taken on a whirlwind ride and be there with her step by step as you become engrossed in the story, the characters and the world in which they all live. A definite page turner that keeps you guessing right until the end.

The story Blind Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells is a paranormal romance book and my second book by this author. I loved reading about the characters of Sera Dover and Ian Macon. A unique and fascinating twist on paranormal romance, witches and shifters. Blind Magic is a suspenseful, thrilling story combined with a sexy forbidden romance. I was hooked from the first page. I’m on to the next!

This is the first book I have from this author and she blew my mind. I absolutely love sports romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the fourth book in the Moto X series. You can read this book as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited to read this story. I dropped everything and started it right away. I fell in love with these characters right away. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.
Jax Hunt was on the top of the world of Moto crossing. He was the best of the best and one race changed all that. Jax is in a serious accident that causes him to be bound in a wheelchair. He now has a totally different life. Jax works for a company that plans events for Motocross racing but he knows he will never get on a bike again. He is living his life and then the gorgeous Lennox comes into his life. She is unique, beautiful, and very bold. Jax is instantly attracted to her but her brother is standing in their way of true happiness. Will Jax be able to get a woman to love all of him or will he be alone for good?

This book was a good one! It wasn’t my first book by this author and it won’t be the last. I enjoyed the charcters and the i was pulled in by this authors writing style. Jax and Lennox are our main characters and they were amazing. They had so much to overcome and get through and it was a great story to watch unfold. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and i would recommend this anyone that likes a good heartfelt story.

I have a guilty pleasure in step romances and I don’t know where it started! This book was to be right up my alley and it was for the most part. Bailey and Cooper are who this is about and the story itself was good but the actions taking place didn’t sit well with me. I like my heroines to be strong and have some sort of a backbone and she just took whatever attention she got, good or bad. I know it’s played off of how her father wrote her off as a kid but I just wanted to shake them both and say you’re being idiots. This ends on a cliffhanger so I’ll be waiting for the next book. Just all seem immature and I hope with their age now at the end it changes in the next book.

New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy is the second book in Sylvie Stewart’s Carolina Kisses series. I have read her Carolina Connections series before so it was good to bump into some familiar faces as well. I have always loved spin-offs/series where we meet the old favorites! You can read the story as a standalone but if you love Carolinas and the small towns and feeling good, I suggest that you don’t only read the first of the Carolina Kisses series but also dip into Carolina Connections! We meet a grumpy Milo who is raising his teenage niece after returning to his home town … he is also trying to figure out what to do with his life and then, suddenly, a blast from the past, Jill, has also returned to the town … it blows one’s mind how their story is filled with misunderstandings and it is going to take quite a bit to sort them out as both of them are stubborn like hell and can argue until the cows come home and then leave again! There are so many other supporting characters that make the story a charm to read and I promise you will not want to put it down until you have come to the end AND you will want to go and check out the other books that are ‘related’ to Milo and Jill’s story so plan some binging time!

Stepbrother (Step Dilemma Series Book 1) by Stacy McWilliams
5-Stars
Stepbrother (Step Dilemma Series Book 1) by Stacy McWilliams had me hooked from the start. It was a complete emotional roller-coaster. Holy cow! I fought my tears so many times while reading and I could not put this book down. The storyline was addicting and I felt like I was stuck in Bailey’s world. The ending was wow! I can’t wait to find out what happens next. This book was an easy 5-Stars.

Bottomed Out by Brooke May is such a great read. I enjoyed this book from the first page. I loved how strong of a character Jax is. He definitely defied the odds. He may not have his dream career but he has a great job and is great at it. His friends cheered him on every step of the way. When every thought he couldn’t do it, he did it and did it well.
He was always a stud but now, his luck has changed. When he meets Lennox, his luck changes. Jax and Lennox have chemistry right away. The only issue is her brother!!! He tries everything. He’s a very overprotective brother but, is Jax willing to give up and let him win? I loved the characters in this book and I loved the storyline. This was a great feel good read to show the average person , no matter what happens, you can always overcome just about anything.
