Amazing attention to detail. It was like I was transported into the book. The story was quirky, sweet and heartwarming. The characters where so easy to fall in love with. Some of the tips Melodie gives to Isaac, I ended up using in my own life.

I enjoyed this book of second chance romance. It had a bit of everything, surprise run in, rekindled feelings, jealous outsider and even a helpless animal. I enjoyed these two and found myself rooting them on. This was a quick read for me and I will be reading more, i hope we see more of them or even the friend of our main character in this story.

Unabridged is a cute Romance story, about seconds chances. I really loved both of the main characters. The supporting characters are well developed too. I love the friendship between Angelina and her work BFF. The story was a good balance of sweet, funny and thrill. I was a little sad about the gap between the ending of the actual book and the epilogue. I felt like the ending was left hanging… the next book in the series doesn’t seem like it continues but I hope it does at least a little bit.

This was my first read by this author and it was delightfully entertaining. I really enjoyed the main characters, Angelina and Blade, and their story. The author writes with an engaging and easy-to-read style and easily keeps the reader entertained. I found myself turning the pages and getting lost in the story, because of this engaging style. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and the many laugh out loud moments. If you’re looking for a fun romantic comedy with some twists, pick this one up!

Unabridged is the second book in the Lovestruck series by Melinda De Ross. This may be the second book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone, in fact, the series can be read in any order without encountering any issues. Unabridged is a spicy and fun second chance romantic comedy- with a little angst, wit, humour, and even a touch of mystery and suspense. I really enjoyed my time between the pages of this book. It proved to be quite a fun and entertaining caper that I ended up reading in one easy sitting. It was a nice escape after having quite a stressful few weeks. Journalist, Angelina, gets the shock of her life when she barges into her editor’s office only to find that her ex is now her new boss. Awkward much? Especially since they have some unsettled business from the past- such as the fact that he had no idea why she left him three years ago. You guessed it, things are about to get real interesting. But seeing each other after so many years apart brings up feelings that were meant to be long-buried. What happens next makes for quite the entertaining read. Add a little mystery and suspense and things get quite intriguing. Looking forward to exploring the rest of this series. Happy reading!

This was such a fun read! I found Angelina to be relatable and enjoyed this romantic comedy from her point-of-view. I am jealous of her job getting to read books and review them for a living. I thought her chemistry with Blade was fantastic and their interactions were clever. This book was a perfect read to relax with after a busy day. If you enjoy second chance romances with a little bit of humor, you will enjoy this book!

A very sweet and quick romance that brings two lovers back together. The main character has a lot of sass and personality which brought her thoughts to life. The interactions between her and the love interest were genuine, powerful, and… maybe a bit cheesy, but I love that. The detailed romance is quite enthralling. I thought that there may be serious secrets to work through or around based on the synopsis, but it wasn’t anything too shocking. Overall a simple and easy read that I fully enjoyed.

This book made me think of a soap opera – it is entertaining, a touch ridiculous, and fairly dramatic. There is a rich ex-boyfriend who was abandoned and who shows up as the FMC’s new boss, a crazy ex-wife, and a crazy mother, as well as a protective best friend, a cat named Rat, and an absolutely hilarious pen pal. Angelina and Blade’s story is a light, easy, brain-candy read. There are things you can nit-pick if you wanted to (such as Angelina’s reason for leaving Blade without a word being pretty thin), but if you take it as a fun, light-hearted, easy to read story, you will enjoy it.

After a particularly stressful week, I was more than happy to get lost in a new book. Unabridged by Melinda de Ross did not disappoint. It was a light and fun read. I was immediately sucked into the world of Angelina and Blade.
At the beginning of the story you meet Angelina. A no-nonsense, strong willed woman who knows exactly what she wants and how to get it. When she walks into her bosses office and finds a blast from her past there, it pushes her back to another time and another place before she became the woman she is today. I was drawn into the story as I wondered what transpired to cause her to leave behind the man she loved. As I followed their journey down memory lane, and their present date mystery, it was easy to be captivated by both of them and invested in their past, their present, and their hopeful future.
I really enjoyed this book and the ease to which the story unfolds. Will definitely check out more of the author’s work for future reads.

I have really been into books that I can just relax and escape from the world for a bit. This was an awesome book just for that purpose! Angie left Blade as she felt that was the only way to protect him, imagine her surprise when he reappears in her life as her new boss! Can they communicate and have a second chance at love? I fell in love with the characters and the writing kept me giggling. Great book for reading on an afternoon at the beach.

This novel was just a great, simple and enjoyable read. As up and coming young journalist, Angelina Jameson, gets herself situated at her literary magazine, a blast from the past comes to her head-on. Her former love is now her new boss, Blade Spencer, which takes Angelina through a whirlwind of emotions and contemplations. Now she is left with the decision of whether she wants to confront her past or continue her focused mindset career instead.
Not only are many of the themes of this story related to many individuals nowadays but De Ross does a great job and revisiting how the past can still challenge you. Angelina encounters many of the scenarios she has dealt with in the past but her new, older self gives readers a maturing nature of the character as she contemplates these issues.

Enjoyable rom/com but with some seriousness as well in the story.
What can truly happen when your past love comes back into your life? This is what happens to Angelina when the new editor in chief takes over the magazine, “Unabridged”. The new editor in chief is none other than her ex, Blade. There were reasons why Angelina left Blade years ago, doubting that she was ever good enough for Blade. Quickly, things fall back into place and their love for each other picks up right where it left off. Will Blade and Angelina find their HEA?
This book is pretty fast paced, for me a bit to fast, I would have more of a slow burn on this. I love the story line overall with the romance and a little bit of drama that I did not see coming. Overall very good book!

This would be a great “vacation” book. I enjoy a good romantic comedy once in awhile, and this was pretty dead on in that category. No deep, meaningful moments or a lot of intrigue, but funny moments with a few sexy scenes sprinkled throughout as well as some laugh out loud moments. It is comforting, once in awhile, to have a super light read where nothing surprising happens and everyone gets their sweet happily ever after. The characters were fun to read about and what you get to see between them is complimentary – and vague enough to make you feel like you see your family and friends in them. Basic themes, nothing deep but a fun daydream kind of idea. Like I said, a perfect book to read on vacation and just relax!
Angelina is a journalist at literary magazine Unabridged. Her boss had given her free reign to choose topics and whether or not she came into the office to work. When she went to turn in her newest offering, a piece showing her lack of interest in the BDSM story genre, she finds a new boss in the office…who just so happens to be the man she left behind 3 years ago. Blade is still the hottest man Angie has ever seen, and her feelings haven’t faded since she ran away from him last time.
Things move pretty fast in this book, but it’s a fun, mostly lighthearted read. I could read an entire book about Zorro Kalashnikov!

A fun contemporary romance with twists and turns to keep you reading through the night
I really enjoyed this novel and the unexpected twists and turns it took me on. At first I thought this was simply a second chance romance novel with a bit of lovers-to enemies-to lovers trope, but it is so much more than that. The author takes you on a journey with Angie and Blade finding their way back to one another and fighting against the forces that wish to keep them apart.
I enjoyed the writers aspect, with Angie being a journalist (and doodler) who is pitching new ideas to her new boss. I also loved the fan-mail addition (those stories will keep you hooting in laughter). We get to see Blade acting as the new editor in chief for the magazine from the sidelines too. the journalism aspect of the book allowed some insight into an occupation I haven’t had much chance to read about in romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I absolutely adored the supportive cast of Angie’s mom, Belle, and Rat. Their addition tended to bring some levity and more realness to the story.
I highly recommend this book for those looking for a fairly quick, romantic buildup, twisty read.

Angelina and Blade were a couple deeply Inlove but they were from different areas. Blade had money and Angie was just the daughter of the towns cleaning lady and Blade’s mom hated Angie. After Angie had enough she just decided to leave town one night after Blade took her home without a single word to him. He was heartbroken when he had no idea where she went or why. She was heartbroken for everything she gave up.
Imagine Angie’s surprise one morning when she walked into work to pitch a story to her boss and none other then Blade was sitting in the chair and he was her new boss!
I thought this book was well written, the author did a great job keeping the reader interested in the book and it flowed perfectly. There’s a lot more to the book then what I mentioned. Grab your copy today.

This book is part of a series of stand-alones, books that are related but each can be read on their own or in any order. It was my second time reading this author’s work and, like the first time, I really enjoyed this book. When Angelina steps into her boss’ office, all excited by her new idea for an article, she’s totally unprepared to find her boss has retired and his replacement is non other than Blade, the only man she has ever loved. This can be described as a second chance romance but also an opposites attract as Angelina and Blade both come from very different backgrounds, with Blade coming from a wealthy family and Angelina from a very poor family, an issue which caused problems for them. I really enjoyed reading Angelina and Blade’s story. Their chemistry is hot and they are both really interesting characters who you can easily relate to and be swallowed up by their story and the journey that they take you on. The storyline flows well and is very well written, which kept me engaged from the beginning, right up to the end.

Unabridged (Lovestruck #2) Melinda De Ross 4 out of 5 Stars Unabridged is the second installment in the Lovestruck series, staring Blade and Angelina, as ex-lovers who are offered a second chance at love when they are forced to work together at a literary magazine. These two have amazing chemistry right from the get-go. Angelina is a badass woman with a big heart, who cares for her mother and her friends. Her voice is original and as the story’s narrator, you feel like you’re right beside her the whole time. Her pain and joy are experienced firsthand. Blade makes for a sexy boss who knows what he wants and is loyal to Angelina. He is powerful and intelligent. As far as book boyfriends go, Blade is an ideal man. The spice scenes in this book were hot! If you’re just finishing a dark romance this book is an excellent palate cleanser with true romance and a happy ending!
This was a fun romantic comedy that had me laughing out loud a few times. I’ve read books by this author before and found her writing light hearted and easy to read an again I found that with this book. The characters were relatable and I enjoyed reading about them. I think it was obvious that Angelina still had feelings for Blade and I could feel the connection that they had during their interactions. They did have chemistry and the author wrote the sex scenes well in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

This is fun romance story that was entertaining from start to finish. I thought it was lighthearted and easy to read and a great way to pass a few hours. The characters were interesting. They had strong chemistry and I loved that there was the tension between them from their history. The Book is well written. You could see the development the whole way through. Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. I will definitely be reading rhe rest of the series.

Quick romantic comedy A great afternoon escape romcom that had me chuckling. Told from Angelina’s POV we are led on a journey full of self-talk, witty banter and hope of a second chance. I love dual POV books – unfortunately we don’t get that here. I would have loved to know Blade’s thoughts. Though this is a quick read – there is some depth to the story and the characters are well developed. Recommend.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. At the very least I’d get some laughs as it was described as a romantic comedy. Not that I had any doubts, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Angelina had a secret. It was the reason she ended things with Blade. She made a sacrifice for him because of her love for him. The only problem is, she didn’t tell Blade the reason. Why is that a problem you ask? Well now Blade is her boss and he still thinks she’s cold hearted. Will these two rekindle their love now that they spend time together again or is all hope lost?
I enjoyed this book. I got a few good laughs! The characters were great and I loved their interactions. If you’re in the mood for a light romance with some laughs, this is definitely for you!

This is the first book I have read from this author and now she has a new fan. I love second chance romance but this story exceeded all my expectations. This is the second book in the lovestruck series and it was so good I could not stop reading until the end. It only took me a few hours to devour this addictive story. I can’t wait to see who she writes about next.
Angelina loves working for a really popular magazine company. She is so excited to pitch a new idea to her boss but when she goes into his office it’s not him. Angelina is shocked that it is her ex Blade now. Blade is her new boss and she doesn’t know what to do. They quickly get to know each other all over again. Angelina still has feelings for him but after all what she has done will he as well? Will Angelina finally find what she has been looking for or will she walk away once again?

This was a fun box set to read. I really enjoyed the characters and their stories. Finding Melodie: Melodie lives in London and she has a bad history of attracting the wrong guys. I would say she is a romantic. I enjoyed the names she would give people that she would see while busking. There was one in particular that she ended up crushing on, Office guy. Something happens that causes Melodie to help him. Their friendship starts to grow and things go from there. Don’t want to give too much away. I did have some LOL moments and I really enjoyed these two very much. The Wedding: We continue the couple’s story from book one. Melodie and Issac are getting ready to celebrate the holidays with his family. Lets just say that his mother hasn’t been really receptive to the relationship and she ends up doing something that pushes Melodie and has her questioning things. I had a monster in law vibe while reading, we get some MIL POV which I enjoyed even though she wasn’t my favorite person. Will Melodie and Issac get a HEA? Overall this author does a great job with her writing. I went through several emotions and we get some steamy moments as well. I enjoyed their story and I look forward to reading more from this author. If you’re looking for a great romantic comedy 1 click and get started today.

Laura Rossi is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! Finding Melodie and The Wedding were both so much fun to read – it introduces you to characters you would love to be friends with, an engaging series of relationships and the funny situations that can arise when meeting new people, and opposites attracting.
Melodie is a quirky, fun, music loving bartender as she is going to school to be a composer. She busks in addition to the bartending, and one day is requested to play “Office Guy” Isaac’s song with his girlfriend. Free spirit Melodie and basic banker Isaac hit it off and become friends. When she finds out Isaac’s girlfriend dumped him, she starts a campaign to get them back together.
Book 1 is such a fun read about their meeting, friendship and budding feelings. Book 2 brings them back and introduces their families, which are as opposite as Melodie and Isaac, themselves. Both of these books are quick, beautiful reads and I don’t have a single thing I can imagine being improved.

Laura Rossi is a new author who had me up late, later than I wanted to be but that urge to just read one more chapter was just too great!! Melody who is an artsy soul and Issac the banker are opposites that have found their way to each other. The first book of the set is all about their relationship and how opposites really do attract. In The Wedding, you get a glimpse into their parent’s world. You have to wond3er will the soon-to-be stuck-up mom-in-law ever accepts Melody in all her pink hair glory?? This is a quick read of a second chance romance. The story started off really good and promising, I just think the author rushed to get finished and we didn’t get a chance to actually enjoy the romance of the story. They meet one day and poof everything happens at once. It is a cute book if you are in the mood for a quick read.

This is a boxset containing both books, “Finding Melodie” and “The Wedding”
The first novel in this set is such a nice and honestly charming read. A romantic getaway from your other longer, more intense novels. If you are wanting to pick up a book with down to earth characters, and tasteful romance, this is definitely a quick page turner to clear your mind.
The second is such a perfect and easy to read follow up. It’s honestly really nice having both together like this because it was such a delightful read I couldn’t help but want to read more! It definitely turned out being a bit of a rom-com feeling, which isn’t my typical choice. I’m glad I picked this up and definitely want more of Melodie and Isaac!

Melodie is an extremely lovable character, who falls in love secretly with one of her street customers. He’s nothing like her, out of her league even, but she’s in love! The story builds with her helping her mysterious love on a quest! The author does a great job of keeping the story interesting, and I was on the edge of my seat waiting for Melodie to meet the parents! I’ve never been to London, but the author did a fantastic job of making me feel like I was a passerby right there on the streets. You’ll love and be truly inspired by their realistic and super romantic love story!
