This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed this alot. Was pretty fast paced, coming in at just under 200 pages so made for a quick read as well. Was a really great story but i felt I wanted more in some places but thats me being greedy. I liked these two alot but felt Theo was a little too much at times but again a quick read so I understood a little bit as to why.

Neither of them can deny that their is an attraction there, but danger lies around every corner for them. Will Sofia open her heart again despite everything pointing to the contrary opinion and will Theo be able to convince Sofia that he is not what she expects a Detective to be? This is a fast paced romance which is action packed and full of twists and turns which will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat throughout.

Don’t blink! This book moves fast and hauls you along for the ride. The couple is steamy. The action non-stop. The book is un-put-downable!! I hope the author can keep this pace with the rest of the series!!

This contemporary romantic suspense story had me gripped from start to finish. Tia is a women on the run from an abusive ex boyfriend, her real name is Sofia. Tia is in hiding and not looking forward to spending the holidays on her own, when she receives an anonymous text message. Having stayed away from men, and especially cops she is surprised when she is fascinated by Theo, a detective, who is determined to find out the truth surrounding her. Theo, is recovering from a serious wound but the more he learns about Tia/Sofia he wants to help her. He is surprised when he feels the need to protect her, not just because she’s in danger but because she is his, and he protects what is his. The storyline had plenty of romance, drama and suspense to keep me happily turning the pages, and the plot twists kept me guessing until the last page. I felt engaged with the characters, especially Sophia and Theo and enjoyed seeing their relationship develop. Their chemistry really came across in the writing, and the author brought both them and the setting to life with her descriptive narrative. This is a new author to me, and I look forward to reading more of her novels.

Once I started reading this book I was drawn to these characters Theo and Tia, who is actually Sofia. Theo just happens to be a cop on leave on his way to the gym to aid his recovery from an on the job injury when he literally runs smack into Tia. Tia is a woman on the run. She is running from her abusive, controlling, emotionally destroying ex Dane who happens to be a cop in another department. They have an immediate attraction to each other. Although Theo and Tia don’t realize how closely connected their cases really are. I’m usually not one to read books that are on the shorter side, the longer the better usually, but I think the author packed so much into the pages of this book that I did not feel like the story lacked at all. It moved along quickly but I didn’t feel let down and it didn’t detract from the story at all. Etched in this moment was a good romance that ended up being a wild ride to the finish!

I’m always on the lookout for a book that I can easily sink into and this one definitely provided that. The characters are relatable and easy to connect with. Sofia is a strong character taking back her life and I loved reading it. It’s got romance, drama, suspense and a dash of steam to heat up the pages. It’s a faster paced story that I couldn’t put down. Well written with characters you can’t help but love. This is a new to me author and I’m definitely excited to see what other stories I can find. Four huge stars and highly recommended!

The first book of a series really sets a tone for what is to come, and let me just say I am now super excited for the next book! Sophia (Tia) is hiding from her ex when she literally runs into Theo. The attraction is mutual and intense. Can she trust him? Can he help her live again? I loved this story. It was fast paced and awesome.

This was a good romance and a short read that was steamy, full of spice and fun. I had not read any of this author’s work before, so I really wasn’t sure what to expect when going in to the book. Trevor and Leslie had a steamy, spicy and fun chemistry about them. I loved how their two worlds collide a female firefighter and an NFL football player coming together after a one night steamy stand. I liked the many different perspectives through out the book. I loved how much Trevor cared and loved Leslie enough to go and help her when she didn’t want the help being an independent women. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work and seeing if we hear anymore of Trevor and Leslie than the future references at the beginning of the book.
I really enjoyed this story. I do wish that some of it was expanded a little because it felt like a rush throughout to me. I would have liked a slower burn for Theo and Tia. I feel that she gave up her trust too easily especially with all she sustained. I liked Theo’s character and how he handled the situation once he was given all the information. I would definitely read more by this author.

This is a fast paced story that really hits the ground running. It throws you straight into the storyline and the lives of the characters. I thought the characters worked well together. It was a little hard to believe how quick the relationship seemed to progress sometimes but they had a strong connection that fit with the story. This is a new author to me and I enjoyed the writing style. I enjoyed how fast paced the book was and therefore how quick I read it. This book is a great way to pass an afternoon.

Before reading this book I had not read any of this author’s work but I was intrigued by the blurb and thought it looked like just the type of book I’d like. Thankfully I had made a good choice as I really enjoyed this book and if this is a typical example of the author’s work then I’m sure this will be a fantastic series. Firefighter Leslie McClunis is a little ball of fire all on her own but despite this is the butt of cruel jokes and actions by her fellow colleagues at the fire station. Trevor Hampton is an NFL star who wants Leslie McClunis and isn’t used to women not falling at his feet and doing anything he wants. I really enjoyed reading Leslie and Trevor’s story. When Leslie isn’t fighting fires, she’s creating fires all of her own, in the bedroom with Trevor (or any other room for that matter). This book is HOT and not just from the fires. I loved how Trevor fought to get his woman and then fought to get her to allow him to fight for justice for her. He may be a big tough NFL player but he’s really a sweet guy who wants the world for his woman and isn’t scared to fight to get it. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of this series.

This book is a short, but amazing read. I absolutely love how Theo is what Tia (Sophia) needs and makes her feel safe. Romance books are my weakness, and this book just drew me in. This book was a great read, with plenty always happening, it is quite fast paced. Wonderful characters draw you into the sometimes very intense storyline making you feel a part of the story. I was definitely on the side of the two main characters Sofia and Theo while also hoping something really terrible would happen to the bad guy of the story! I decided very early in the story that he absolutely deserved something really bad while Sofia and Theo deserved a very HEA. To me it is the sign of a truly great author, when the characters become real to you as you read along.

Wildcat: A Steamy Firefighter Romance by Carina Alyce
4 out of 5 Stars
This fast moving, steamy romance is the story of Leslie McClunis, a retired ballerina turned firefighter. Leslie is not welcomed at her firehouse due to outdated thinking. Leslie is fighting for her place in the department as she is battling fires and, unfortunately, her own teammates.
Trevor Hampton was looking for a little stress-relief when he attended a painting class. Instead, Trevor met a fiery Leslie. Trevor couldn’t get over Leslie’s tenacity. It was something that he rarely saw, even on the field as a NFL defensive end. The attraction was so strong that he tracked Leslie down after what was supposed to be a one night stand. He couldn’t get her out of his mind. She was a distraction he didn’t need. What he didn’t know was that she was the best thing for him.
As Leslie and Trevor’s relationship heats up, so does Leslie’s fight at the firehouse. After an incident at a fire, there are shenanigans at the firehouse that leave injuries on all involved. Trevor tries to convince Leslie to let him use his fame to help her, but she says no. Trevor finds a way to help without putting a bigger target on Leslie’s back.
The story is fantastic. It moves fast and you better be ready to keep up.

This story drew me in from the beginning. It is a fast paced read with romance, danger, mystery, drama, and great characters. Tia is hiding from her abusive ex who happens to be a police officer. She runs into Theo who is also a cop and that makes her apprehensive because she doesn’t trust the police but she decides to give him a chance. This story progresses quickly but you still get all the feelings and twists and turns that you want in a good story. I don’t want to give anything away, so I will just say that this is a good read that you don’t want to miss.

I made the horrible mistake of starting this sucker before bed… and next thing I knew it was three am and I had finished the last page very sad that it was over. Now I am glad that I have a new author to discover more books of and a new series to delve into as they are released. That was my only saving grace lol. This book completely sucked me in. It had all the juicy bits that I want in a suspenseful and gripping romance with a detailed plot that made me just want more, more, more, and more! I fell in love with the characters fast and hard and had to know how the ending would play out. I loved that this wasn’t quite as predictable as I had it pegged to be either. It just was 5 star goodness all the way through that I can’t say enough good about. I can’t wait for more to come!

Etched in this Moment (Etched Series Book 1) by Calla Zae. This is a super fast paced Contemporary Romance. Its a great read. Its the story of Tia aka Sophia who is running from her past life. She has a secret that no one knows and she’s tried to get as far away from her past as she can. With that being said when she needs a friend or family member they aren’t there. She really doesn’t have anyone she can count on. When she runs into Theo ( literally) she is so attracted but she knows she doesn’t need that distraction. Theo is a detective who is on light duty and when he meets Tia he is smitten but he knows he doesn’t need that in his life right now. Especially since she has baggage and he can tell she’s hiding something. Theo is determined to do anything he can to keep her safe! This book is a page turner and I can’t wait for the next one!

The author balances romance and steamy, erotic passion perfectly. The storyline felt both realistic and unbelievable, though several of the unbelievable events were factually based. Problem is her HEA is wanting to help but can’t due to his father’s expectations. Answers start to come to the front in this story that have been building since book 1 and boy are they great! I really enjoyed this story. It is a fast paced romance filled with passion, love and danger. The author does an amazing job at describing the thoughts and feelings of our characters. You can actually feel the fear that Sofia goes through and feel her growth from a scared woman into a woman that has confidence and blossoms with the love of a good man.
Sofia is on the run from an abusive ex. She thinks by changing her name she would be free of him but how wrong she is. Now she is looking over her shoulder wondering who she can trust and who she can’t. When she literally bumps into Theo the connection is instant but can she trust him or he is a spy send by her ex?
As their relationship grows you can feel the strong possessiveness from Theo. He loves this woman and he will protected her no matter what. Throughout the story we see Sofia grow and she comes to understand the difference between an abusive possessiveness and a possessiveness created by love. Sofia and Theo bring out the best in each other and their love is so strong and pure that you can’t help but fall in love with them and their happiness.

Sofia is running from a crazy ex that used his job as a way to get away with abusing her. Now she’s wary of letting any man close, especially another cop. Fate has other plans though when she crosses paths with Theo. They can’t stop thinking about each other and as much as she resists she feels her heart starting to open back up and her walls start to crumble. This book is full of danger, romance and a second chance at getting love right this time around. I really enjoyed how the author tackled domestic violence and the way that it affects victims, especially after all the horror that Sofia went through. This is a must read and I’m so excited to read more from this author.

Tia (Sophia) has been left looking over her shoulder after fleeing from her past, leaving everything behind, including her real name, and never knowing if or when her troubles would finally track her down. She has no one to turn to, as the ones who were meant to protect her became part of the problem. Now she just hopes to stay off the radar, blend in and try to get on with her life. But how can she move on when she is weighed down by her past pain, and the fear of it finding her? She may have moved and started over, but she hasn’t really moved on from her past, keeping a low profile and being ever vigilant for danger takes up most of her energy, which means she isn’t truly ‘living’ her life to the fullest. Then fate sends her on a collision course with Theo, quite literally. Her fears take over and cause her to crash right into his arms. Will running into him be the best thing to happen to her in a long time. Or just cause more complications than she can handle? Their Chemistry sizzles and sparks fly. But can she trust her instincts to not lead her into even more trouble? Can she trust Theo, or will he turn out like the others who let her down? This fast paced and suspenseful story is definitely worth the read to find out. Etched in this Moment is the first book in the Etched series by Calla Zae which has certainly let me with a taste for more. I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the series, and the anything else Calla Zae has released. Happy Reading!

I really enjoyed this book. The way the author brought out the issue of women’s equality in the workforce was brilliant. She was able to show the good and bad of each side, leaving me as a woman angry at times and cheering at others. The relationship between two people who met accidentally at an art studio had fireworks bursting between the two. Both are very highly motivated in their field of work and show that if you fight hard enough and have the right support anything can happen.

Wildcat: A Steamy Firefighter Romance (MetroGen After Hours Book 1)
Had no expectations when I started this book, this is a new to me author but I decided to give it a go and glad I did.
Most of the story takes place in the 90’s and it was a trip down memory lane for me. Not a Browns fan but remember their move to Baltimore and how upset their fans were. But I was also reminded how far woman have come in the in the last thirty years.
Leslie was one of two female fire fighters and now it’s not uncommon to see a woman with a unit. Leslie was stronger than I ever could have been both physically and emotionally and I wish there was some way to Tha k woman who were in her shoes for all they did.
I loved the way she met Trevor and how she stuck her to guns about her life and career.
I’m looking forward to reading more by this author in the future.

Tia was stronger than she believed and Theo was quite the protector! Tia was running from an ex and felt she had very few safe places to turn, especially regarding the police. Theo was a recovering detective who saw the signs and saw her need and immediately was all in to help her. The attraction, chemistry, and feelings of being so right for each other brings them together…Now the biggest question is how to keep her safe and get her ex off the streets before its to late for her, and for them.

Tia is trying to put the past behind her, but can she trust a stranger to help her find love again and leave her past behind her.
Theo is a detective but he is an administrative leave due to taking a bullet, but he believes there is a traitor in the station but he needs to find out, but when he stumbles upon a women who he sees in her her eyes she is running from someone, he becomes interested in her as he feels something drawing him to this beautiful soul.
This story brings these two characters together one a victim and one a hero, Theo is a precious soul from the word go, although I found that Tia (Sofia) trusted him a little too soon but I felt that they were genuine with each other and the chemistry just jumped off the page. The weave of the story and the constant feeling you are walking through the details with them gives an edge to the story.
I loved this story and it flowed really well, the characters were well developed and complimented each other brilliantly, I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

This author has completely captivated me with this wonderful mafia series. Every book that I read by her, I think cannot be any better than the next and I am constantly wowed with what happens. Elena has been on the run for years to keep herself save and alive so that she does not meet the same fate that her mother did. Marco has thought that she has been dead all of these years, the only woman that he has ever loved, and is shocked to find out that she is still alive and very much in danger. He sees this as his chance to not only be with her but to make sure that she gets home safe. While they do not trust each other’s motives in the beginning, throughout the story they learn to trust each other again. This book has by far been the best one in the series so far and I cannot wait for the next one!

Suspenseful romance drama This is the first book I have read by this author and the first in a series. I enjoyed watching the characters develop and confronting their demons. It is a fast moving story and does not stall at all. The author handles some hard issues with sensitivity all the while still bringing the heat factor. A well written contemporary romance with a twist.
