This book was a great read for me no words can define otherwise. I fell in love with the first few pages, and I could not get enough. I loved the characters and how things played out. I was left by the end wanting more. The writing was perfect, and held my interest all the way to the very last page and word.

This one was impossible not to love. Sophia and Theo were two characters that had pasts, but still knew deep down they were missing something. Their chemistry was undeniable. I related to Sophia a lot cause of her past, as I have been in a similar situation. Theo was a good guy from the start, he wanted to only protect her, but I got the impressing from their time together, Sophia really rescued him.

There was a lot of build up. You got so much at a time, and you were able to take it all on. I was under this book’s spell from the start. I fell in love with this book so much. I wish it could have lasted longer. I was not ready to let Sophia and Theo go. Amazing character developments between the two of them!

Loved this book truly. I will be looking forward to reading more by this gifted author. I rally loved the book, you get hooked right from the start. You then go down the tunnel and don’t want to look back or stop till you finish. it holds you and doesn’t let go. Amazing read!

I loved this book! This was a really good read! I give it 4.5 stars though for a few reasons. While the story was incredible and the female MC was a complete baddie, and this book was so positive and steamy and everything you could want, there were a few scenes I just didn’t understand. The end didn’t make a lot of sense to me, but the author ended it well for the next book. And since it is a sports and football related book, there was sport talk and I’m not the biggest person at understanding it, especially since I was barely alive when these major sports events took place. But overall this Adult sports romance was incredible. It was funny, it was sweet, it was steamy and very quick. I can’t wait to read the next installment to this series!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this steamy sports romance that gets you hooked from the first page. This is a new author to me and I will definitely be reading more of this series for sure!

When you meet Leslie, she is all about being a firefighter and lots of sass. She meets Trevor and everything changes. At first just one night leads to Trevor wanting more and I loved that Trevor was also very devoted and focused on being great in the NFL. At first, I was not sure about Leslie, because of how she came across to the point of being downright rude, but the more I read this book, I saw why she came across stubborn, rude but also passionate about being a firefighter. I loved Trevor’s character and just his love for Leslie and his love for his football team as well with his drive and focus on winning.

This is a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book!

I enjoyed this romance story that has suspense added to it. This is a still a newer author for me which I enjoy her writing style as well as her attention to details that give her stories a realistic feel. This is a well written story that has twists and turns that had me turning pages fast. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the first word. The characters are not only connectable but they brought the story to life. The chemistry between them is great and keeps the story engaging. This is a fast paced story that was hard to put down and kept me wanting to know more with each page. This is a story that is full of action, danger and protecting what is yours. I enjoyed the growth of both the characters and the plot. Sofia and Theo are great strong characters that truly made the story for me. This is worth the pick up and I highly recommend it.

This is a sexy read and worth every page! Leslie is a firefighter woman who is being bullied by the men in the firehouse. Trevor is a football player who usually only focuses on his game, but it was fate. They met at a Bob Ross paint event, and the love fell in the air with happy trees. There is a lot of love, sex, drama, and so much more combined. I could not stop reading this, but once again, worth it! 🙂

Opposites do more than attract in this steamy romance, they explode in heat! Despite her tiny size, it’s a good thing Leslie is a firefighter. Reading what she goes through makes me want to fight for women’s rights. Trevor is more than a football player, he’s a man among men. Supportive, sexy, and three times the size of Leslie. Whether he’s sacking a quarterback or dancing in ballet tights, he’s a man all women would like to spend time with. I don’t know football, but I had no problem following the plot in this sizzler.

Wildcat: A Steamy Firefighter Romance by Carina Alyce. This was a steamy, hot short read. Its the story of Leslie McClunis who has always had to work twice as hard as anyone else to get where she needs to be. She is a firefighter at Firehouse 15 and of course she is outnumbered by her male coworkers. Having to prove herself day in and day out is exhausting and she really doesn’t have time for a romance. When she meets Trevor Hampton who is a football defensive end she is shook. She is used to having one night stands and never wanting anything to tie her down but Trevor is different. She can’t get enough of him and he feels the same way. She can’t believe that she is even thinking about settling down but something about Trevor makes her want to. Will she be able to continue working day in and out at her job and have a relationship? Read Wildcat to find out!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author so I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I was really intrigued by the synopsis and couldn’t wait to read more about the characters, but once I started, I found myself feeling slightly disappointed.

The storyline itself didn’t really flow, the pace of the storyline is incredibly fast and a little bit choppy as there was also diary excerpts that didn’t really seem to fit into the storyline.

The relationship between the characters developed really fast, and I wasn’t able to catch up and really feel the connection and romance between them. I am all for a confident, strong and independent woman I just had a hard time connecting with Leslie.

Though this wasn’t my favourite book I am all for second chances and will definitely try something else by this author in the future.

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, book 2) by Amy McKinley – Review by Megan Conley

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, #2)Blood Oath by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am totally in love with this series and it’s only Book 2! I absolutely love how McKinley is incorporating characters from the previous book. I would definitely recommend reading these books in order. You will get more of an appreciation of the characters and their development. Much like the first book, McKinley hooks you in! I absolutely love the flashback at the beginning of Sofia and Enzo. I think it gives incredible insight into their feelings and ultimately, their relationship. I really enjoyed seeing Sofia and Enzo’s relationship grow. There are many times throughout the book where the reader isn’t sure if they will or if they won’t end up together. Normally this type of push and pull irritates me, but McKinley does it well and gives the characters valid reasons for making the decisions they do.

One of the aspects I love of this series is McKinley’s development of her female characters. They are strong, independent women who can handle business on their own, but they don’t mind asking for or accepting help. They aren’t wimpy, scared girls hiding in the corner; they are right up front with the men when it goes down. I really appreciate the way McKinley has developed her female characters.

This is an excellent continuation of The Mafia Elite series.

Face the FireFace the Fire by Michele Sims
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Face the Fire is the 5th book in the Moore Family Saga. This romantic suspense has brought us a long way. Starting with Cade and Lecia in the first two and moving onto Miles and Bella in the rest, this saga has had many ups and downs. This book can be read as a standalone, but I read it with the rest of the set and I recommend reading them all. Miles Moore won’t stop until his dreams of a music empire are a reality, but Bella is worried about their family. Their two twins mean the world to her. She wants nothing more to help her husband with his growing dreams, but when business collides with family she fears a feud. Competitors can make their life harder and she doesn’t want any bloodshed. Will secrets split this couple and their family up? Will Bella’s work become a problem? Will Miles’s competitive nature endanger their lives? Will their strong family bond support them during these hard times? Their large family has always been there for them, but how about now? Great Saga. Slow going at first, but picks up and keeps you on your toes!

Third book to this Moore Family Saga. Miles Moore (son of Cade and Lecia from book 1 & 2) is all grown up (26) and still obsessed with fire. Ari (aka Miles) is a famous international hip-hop performer who uses fire in his show. It’s in his genes after all. He loves all the things that come with fame like cars, travel, women, and of course all the money. But life on the road away from his large family and the death threats he could do without. When a woman (Bella) who is afraid of fire joins his marketing team he thinks she’s the last person he’d be attracted too and names her Ice Queen. The banter between the characters and their growth throughout the books is wonderful. Can Ari get past his own thoughts and follow his gut? Will fire burn his world to the ground? I really enjoyed this book. I am excited to finish the last two in the saga!

Luckily I read this saga backwards so I did enjoy it but I think I ruined the hype by not reading in order.
Miles is officially my go to man candy.
This is a book of desire and lust and steam and this author is the way to go.
She has a way with this couple that just built and built.
What would you do if you saw your crush naked?!
This was one of the best of the series worth the binge.
