Playing with Fire, the next book in the Moore family saga picks up with a 7 year old Miles. It was good and definitely a series that all books should be read in. Traveling with Cade on his Jazz album tour, Lecia and Miles are with him in France, but planning to leave for home. Which leaves Cade in a not so happy place when he finds out. Why, because he doesn’t want to be away from his family, but primarily because Mario is still out there. Lecia’s character is so head-strung there’s times I actually can’t stand her. Cade is doing everything to protect and support his family, while tiptoeing around his head-strung wife. It drives me crazy. Then there’s Miles. I’m curious to see his character develop through this series now that a supernatural element has been introduced. Book 3 here we come!

Well it was different, I wasn’t sure how I was feeling at first, but I definitely wasn’t expecting what happened. It brought me right back into the story! The Seed on Fire was good! Cade & Lecia’s love story is beautiful and they have definite obstacles to overcome. Lecia coming up on her delivery date, she was drugged and her baby stolen. Leading Cade to reign it in and be everything Lecia needs. While his brother Vincent does everything he can to get their child back. Unfortunately this leads to a bigger issue involving a childhood family friend of Mario. I could never imagine a child being stolen from one’s body, but I feel for Cade and his need to want to do everything he can for the love of his life! What does Mario have to do with everything? Does this bring Cade and Lecia closer? Check out this story and I personally look forward to checking out book 2!

6 weeks later. lol That’s where Face of Fire begins. I love that it’s still Miles’ story. Infant babies who have the same supernatural talents cases. Unfortunately that has put a number on the backs of their babies as well as Bella and Miles directly. That being danger and drama has been a storyline through every book in this genre. I don’t care for part of the Pharoah storyline, but you will have to read and find out his storyline, no spoilers here. I liked book 5 but I was hoping for more, so I guess it would say it fell short for me. Yes, it’s book 5 in the Saga! You can go back and read all 4 leading to this one. You don’t have to though, you could start at book 3 and be satisfied. Don’t let how I feel deter you, because you could love it!

Great sports/firefighter romance. Leslie is such a strong and independent woman, I really loved her from beginning to end. Trevor is the one man that came into her life and was able to smooth our her rough edges. I hate that she had to endure so much to do a job she loved, a “man’s job” but she excelled, because women can be firefighters! I really enjoyed watching Leslie and Trevor’s relationship grow, Trevor’s love and dedication to their relationship is so sweet and watching him do anything and everything to keep them together makes me swoon. It is always nice when there is an epilogue and the hint at the next book looks like more drama and fun on the way.
Leslie McClunis didn’t give up ballet for firefighting to be told she’d get ahead if she acted more ‘feminine.’ As far as she’s concerned, she’s allowed to cuss like a guy and kick her one-night stands to the curb in the morning like a guy.

Playing With Fire is Book Two in the Moore Family Saga Series of books. This book seamlessly picks up where book one left off. In Book Two we are introduced to more of the family and their roles that play a vital part in the Moore Family Saga. We learn a lot about both Kaiden and Alicia and their respective upbringings when we are introduced to their families. Things become intense with Kaiden, and Alicia’s relationship and it threatens to disintegrate when they are hit with some bumps in the road. They are forced to decide if they should weather the storm together or call it quits.

Face the Fire was the first book I’ve read by this author and I jumped right into the series in book five. The synopsis describes this as a standalone and I really never felt lost while reading without any prior knowledge of the series. I thought that the characters were truly strong and well written. I liked Bella and felt as though she was as relatable woman. She was emotionally strong and outspoken and I admired that. This book was not as fast paced as I had hoped it would read for me but the attention to detail was really there. The scenarios and conversations between characters played out in my mind like scenes from a movie. To me, that’s always the proof of strong writing. Overall, the genre itself was out of my norm, but I would definitely be open to reading more in the future.

Who knew that books centered on Mafia families and their lives could be so well written that you can’t help but be drawn in from the very beginning and don’t want to leave at the end? No Way Out is an amazing start to what I am sure will be a series full of intrigue, romance, and situations I am sure only the Mafia could land the characters in. The characters are easy to get attached to, especially Liliana and her friends who have all grown up in the mafia families of Chicago, but also struggle at times to maintain their own humanity and in the background are trying to solve a mystery from their collective past. Max and Liliana come together in a less than ideal way, but the unexpected twists and the suspense, along with action and just enough romance to keep it interesting and believable without being over the top, make this book one that I was unable to put down. The story is told from both Max and Liliana’s perspectives, giving you a deeper understanding of the story as a whole, and more completely drawing you into their world and their individual stories as well as their shared story together. Liliana is Mafia princess who is also a strong, determined woman who is used to looking out for herself. Max is a bodyguard with a mysterious background and a reason to want to protect Liliana. With so many loose ends in the background of this story, I can’t wait to see where this series is heading from here.

The latest in the Moore Family Saga starts with a bang, and hits the ground running. AriMusic’s most controversial artist, Lil Pharaoh, is causing all kinds of problems for Media Director Bella Moore. Despite warnings from her and Miles, he keeps making questionable choices and spending time with unsavory folks. People who don’t mind using force to get what they want. Will they come for Miles and his family if they don’t get what they want? There is a ton of action in this book, which might be the most suspenseful yet of the series. I enjoyed the tension and nuance in Bella’s relationships with Miles and Lil Pharaoh in particular. She doesn’t act according to script, and I appreciated the honesty and struggle she exhibits. Powerplays and rebellions between Lil Pharaoh and Miles cause lots of disturbance and friction. This is a powerful book 5 that you shouldn’t miss.

He spends much of his time perfecting his persona of Ari Moore, and many of the times they spend together are simply him playing for he cameras. She loves him deeply, but she will she ever just get to be with the real Miles, or will she be forever standing alongside camera-ready Ari?
The wedding and infatuation scenes were beautiful and sweeping, but I did find them a bit corny and overdone. Miles and Bella’s need to “claim” each other was more possessive than I like my love stories. However, that’s my personal preference… if you like grand love stories with some steamy scenes, you’ll likely find this one to your liking.

The action continues in Book 3, with lots of fast cars, gorgeous women, and lots of money. Miles Moore is a musical sensation, with a growing staff of people all catering to his every need. Even his social calendar is filled by his agent with beautiful women dying to share his bed. That is, until he meets ice queen Bella. He’s oddly drawn to her, even though she is neither fiery or easy. He’ll have to decide if he wants to keep playing the field or stick with the woman that has captured his heart.
I enjoyed seeing a bit more from the Network, the shadowy league of powerful folks who look out for special folks like Miles. I found the character of Miles to be a bit personally insufferable and shallow. Going through women like water, never connecting with any of them besides what pleasure they can offer his body. He is a great performer however, and the story had lots of suspense to keep readers intrigued.

Amy McKinley was a new author for me and she did not disappoint! She hooks you from the beginning and never lets go. This is an incredible mafia romance filled with intrigue, spice, and twists and turns you won’t want to miss. She had me invested in Max and Liliana from the beginning. I love her character development of them individually and together. I’d have to say that Liliana is by far one of my favorite female characters. She is a strong, beautifully independent badass who can definitely handle herself!
I also love how McKinley alternates between Max and Liliana so that the readers are able to see both characters inner thoughts and workings. You aren’t left guessing how either character feels about any situation. She does a great job of moving the plot forward without adding a bunch of extra floof! I cannot wait to read book 2!

Miles and Bella are back and stronger than ever. They are bonded in family and enjoying parenting their beautiful twins. True to her writing bent the author takes them on a rollercoaster ride of drama, suspense, romance, fantasy, magic and love. I enjoyed the fifth installment in this series. If you haven’t read the first four I recommend you do so as you really need all the details and plot developments to fully enjoy this tale. While the story at times is a little too fast paced and has some plot holes it is a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Bringing together Ari and Bella in the bonds of matrimony is so beautiful and makes you wants an HEA for them both. But true to her writing style the author begins the story heavily bonded in family but full of twists, turns, suspense and secrets. The rollercoaster made this novel a page turner. Oof!!! My mind is absolutely blown!!! From the start I thought the author under played the suspenseful plot and the paranormal bent but with book two came back with a bang. Now book three is absolutely mind blowing!! The paranormal is kinda more in the undertones of this part of the tale, but once again family plays a heavy part of the plot. Ari (Miles) is a superstar and has met his match but Bella finds his fascination with Fire a little frightening. She is both intrigued and repulsed. Will we get an HEA? I am not gonna tell you, you will have to read it to find out! You won’t be disappointed!!

After reading book one I was apprehensive about reading the second one but was intrigued enough to see if the author filled in the plot holes from the first story and I am so glad I did. This book is well written and includes a little bit of everything. It is all at once suspenseful, romantic and paranormal. Family is the overall theme and plays heavily in this tale. Overall I enjoyed this story immensely and can’t wait for book three.

This was my first read by this author. I found that this story had several plot and character details that were either missing or ambiguous. That said it was a pretty good read. I think some of the tale is engaging and well developed. I enjoyed the suspenseful moments and found the family dynamics believable. I am hopeful that the next in this series will fill in some of the plot gaps.

This book is part of a series; however, I did not read the series and did not have any trouble following the story. Miles “Ari” Moore is the main character in the story along with his wife Bella. Together, they own the production company, AriMusic. Miles is also a well known singer with a genetic condition to produce fireballs. One of his proteges is Pharaoh. Miles has taken him under his wing and on as a musician on his label. This book is about the tragic story of Pharaoh. It was heart wrenching to watch him spiral out of control and eventually lose his life. The love that Miles and Bella share is the standout ingredient in this story and how they deal with Pharaoh together.

Face the Fire is book 5 of the Moore Family Saga. In a way it feels like everything has come full circle. Miles is at the same place his dad was in the first book. He has love and is on the verge of all his career dreams coming true. He must figure out how to balance his dreams and his family. I love Miles so much. I have enjoyed this entire series.

Seed on Fire is Book One in the Moore Family Saga series of books. We are introduced to Kaiden, a musician, and Alicia Moore, a young couple that fall head over heels in love and soon become married after a whirlwind romance. Alicia unexpectedly becomes pregnant on their honeymoon, something which threatens to tear Cade and Alicia apart. Kaiden, or Cade as his friends call him, and Alicia, or Lecia as her close friends call her, find their relationship put to the test with this revelation.
Cade never expected to settle down but that all changed when he met Lecia. He is now struggling with the sudden life changes and his impending fatherhood. Lecia finds herself overjoyed and cannot wait to become a mother but is struggling with the loss of her career because of her impending motherhood. These life changes cause a rift between Cade and Lecia but soon a series of horrific events not only threatens to break them apart but also puts the life of their unborn child in danger. Will their love be strong enough to endure the threats and hardships put before them?
This book was full of action, adventure, romance, danger and ultimately the family ties that bind. The author does a great job of tackling the difficult topics of the sacrifices and the often-difficult concept of forgiveness that most couples are faced with throughout their relationship. The characters of Kaiden and Alicia were described so well so you could not help but feel that you knew them. I loved the relationship that they had and the lengths that they would go to remain together. No matter what they went through and who tried to tear them apart their love for each other was undeniable and unbreakable. From the very first few pages I was hooked, and I needed to learn more about this couple and what was going to become of them and their relationship and ultimately what would become of their unborn child. I was hooked and not only quickly devoured Book One but immediately moved onto Book Two in the series, Playing With Fire, followed up by the next few books in the series. I highly recommend the Moore Family Saga series of books.

This book has just the right amount of romance, suspense, and magic. It is refreshing to see a book with real problems and feelings but it also has a HEA. You will fall in love with Bella. This is a page turner, once you start you won’t be able to stop until you are done.

I was really looking forward to reading the fifth book in this series and I wasn’t disappointed. It was great to catch up with Miles and Bella again and see their story progress and their story definitely isn’t plain sailing. There was so much going on in this book and it definitely captured my interest from beginning to end. There really is so much more to this story than meets the eye and I really enjoyed reading it. The author has a wonderful imagination and creative writing style and she certainly managed to engage me throughout this book and the previous ones. I would recommend reading the books in order to understand the characters and their relationships. Overall, really great book and one that I would highly recommend.

This is the 5th book in this series and while you can read this on its own, you can appreciate it more if you read the other 4 books before this.
I really enjoyed this book, it kept me reading and attached to the characters I was reading about. Its not often you read a story about an already married couple who have a pretty strong relationship and how they work through the problems that come along and that i think is what really kept me enjoying this more and more. Highly recommend

I spent my teens and twenties living in the Nashville area, so being able to revisit some of my old haunts was a treat! I loved this book from the very beginning, yet it surprised me. There are amazing characters as well as facts and tidbits about country music. The author throws in some family dynamics that show readers how to honor the family they were born into, as well as choose the family they make. A page turner to the very end!

When you are almost late to work you know its a great read! I didn’t realize this book was part of a series but you definitely don’t have to read the others first. I will be going back and reading them after enjoying this one so much! I loved reading about Bella and Miles. Their trials and conversations made the story seem more real and then throw in some secrets to make a great page turner. Not to mention the different plot twist that I was totally not expecting!

I was happy to see another book in the More Family Saga. Face the Fire was not my favorite in the series, but it was still a good continuation. The story picks up shortly after the previous book left off- with Miles and Bella still newly weds and managing life after the birth of their twins. They are listed as stand alone books, but I think you should read them all to get a full story. Miles has a unique gift, better explained in early books, and their relationship and overall family dynamic is built upon. I felt like this story had too much focus on external characters, mainly Pharroh. Pharroh is an artist within Ari Music, and Bella is his handler, so to speak. He develops a crush on her, and drama ensues. The book had a good ending, wrapping everything up nicely. I hope to have the next book focus on the twins.
