Something About Aimee (Girls from the Street Book 1)Something About Aimee by S.E. Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I could not put this book down!!! The beginning started off strong and it ended even stronger. Kept me on the edge of my seat so to speak! It was sweet, action-packed, and sort of a fairytale. Aimee’s story surprised me every time I learned something new about her. Her character was idolizing though she was sweet and spunky but super smart! Qadir was a strong character as well envisioning him and Aimee together was toe-curling good! This book wasn’t at all what I expected even after reading the synopsis. I highly encourage the read! I already have the next one on my pre-order list!

A few of my favorite quotes:

she was a piece of sunshine that got trapped on Earth -Yolanda

This is what you do not pull a nerd into the field -Selima

Surely you could find someone to entertain you that doesn’t have a death wish. -Tarek

Something About Aimee (Girls from the Street Book 1)Something About Aimee by S.E. Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just wow! This book was such an amazing read, and really was impossible to be put down! This author created characters that were more than connectable, and yet the plot swept you into the world it resided in, and held you there with tense anticipation until you reached the very end of the book!

The book itself had its moments you were on edge due to the suspense, and times were you were held down with the sexual desire the book was able to give. What I loved most aside from the gripping plot, was the character Aimee. Such a great character, she grew as a character, but didn’t change who she was within her heart. I enjoyed Qadir as well. He was quite different than Aimee, but had that longing desire down path for sure. I loved the epicenes of danger and the adventure this book took me on. This book really had the wow factor, I knew it would be a good read, but I was truly blown away with the effect this book gave off! This was a book that was impossible to be put down! Seriously, loved this book!

Amazing read from start to finish! I was hooked and completely invested as I read through this book. The author was just as amazing. They created a story with sensational writing that kept you hooked as well as intrigued! This author and book are a must read for sure! Defiantly a high recommendation from myself!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story. It is a great mixture of romance and danger. The story is thrilling as we journey with Aimee and Qadir. I loved their characters. Aimee is such a strong independent woman. She’s had a tough life which has lead her to where she is and the person she is today. So pleased that she remains a strong character that isn’t afraid to speak her mind and be herself.
Qadir is a powerful guy and has such he isn’t used to people confronting him or going against his wishes, however when he meets Aimee he gets that and a whole lot more. Aimee will challenge him in ways he has never experienced before and he will allow her to do just that.
They meet when Aimee saves his life. And once the meet Qadir is certain he won’t let her go. But that’s when things change. Aimee escapes and leaves but what she doesn’t realise is that she now becomes a target.
Can this couple work through their life differences and find common ground? Can they save each other from the constant threats to their lives? With the distrust and danger do they stand any chance of being together or will the difference in their lifestyle and worlds but too much for them to overcome.

Well I’m ready to trade my family -mom- SUV in for a piece of wood with wheels 🙃

Aimee aka Wheels may not have a formal education but she is very clever , can speak I think it’s 7 languages , she has street smarts and she has a good heart and a kindness to animals ❤️🐾

She’s a courier and she doesn’t shy away from hard work and she’s well loved by those who know her … it’s on a delivery that her paths cross that of royalty and she not only gets the delivery done on time but she also saves the life of his royal hotness !

I think she’s a breath of fresh air for many but so much more for Quadir ❣️😉 she’s sees the man not for what he can do for her ……

When I started this I wasn’t sure what to expect but what I got was absolute brilliance ! There was steam , there was laughter , there was fear and suspense !

I tried to summarise it as Pretty woman meets GI Jane meets Cinderella .

All is not what it seems , r there’s so much more to these people than meets the eye .

Aimee will make a perfect queen . She’s compassionate, kind , fair , humble , beautiful and she lives her life by her strong moral compass !

A read I will shout out from the mountain dunes 😉

I love a romance with a strong female character. Aimee is touch, strong and very independent. Through a few misadventures, she meets Qadir, pushes back againtst a corrupt cop and jus tries to live her life. Qadir is determined to make her his wife. Oh, did I mention he is a Sheik? This is a story that will entertain you. It’s not your usual romance. Aimee tries to keep doing things for herself. Qadir is just trying to love her. The world is pushing back with problems. I found all the characters well-written. I love when she uses knowing Biggie as a threat. Or how her biggest treasure is her skateboard. The story is amazing. No glitches. I can’t wait to reat the second book in the series. Power women make this series rock.

This collection of stories was a perfect way to introduce me to new authors. I’m not much of a science fiction fan but these stories still held my attention and I enjoyed them a lot. Each story gives readers complex and believable characters and the authors do an amazing job with all the details in each one. The stories while short still pack a punch and have you turning those pages pretty fast. With drama, action and even romance what more do you need? These stories had me completely hooked on this anthology. Looking for something a bit different from your “normal “ reading give this collection a try and you’ll be pleasantly surprised I bet. Im giving this collection a four star review and highly recommend it.

Embrace the Passion: Pets in Space 3 Anthology Book written by the following authors; S.E. Smith, Anna Hackett, Ruby Lionsdrake, Veronica Scott, Pauline Baird Jones, Carol Van Natta, Tiffany Roberts, Alexis Glynn Latner, E. D. Walker, JC Hays, and Kyndra Hatch.

5-Star Compilation!

This novel is composed of multiple short stories that are action packed and contain many wonderful characters. Each story was easy to follow and get lost in. My favorite story out of the entire book was Heart of The Cat. I loved the main characters Trescina and Walkyr. Both were not of the human species but found themselves on earth. I enjoyed reading several of the other stories. My second favorite is probably Starway with Nikka, Danyel, Star, and Koi. It was short and full of excitement! I was amazed with all the amazing authors contributions to this book.

Embrace the Passion (Pets in Space Anthologies, #3)Embrace the Passion by S.E. Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give Embrace the Passion: Pets in Space 3 Anthology, 5 stars.

This is a science fiction romance anthology. The third in the series, it continues the tradition of the first two, giving you wonderful stories set in space or other planets involving animals of some kind. The diversity each book provides is outstanding. There are shifters, literal pets, animals that are in danger, you name it. There is a little bit of everything in here.

This is the second book I have read in this series and I love them. If you enjoy science fiction, animals, and romance, there is something in here for you. I am amazed at how good and how different each story is in this book. There is humor in some, tragedy in others, but always a good story. Oh, and have I mentioned there is a Caticorn? I was all over that one! Each story is so well written and I couldn’t believe how many I absolutely loved. I first picked up this collection because I love animals. In truth, science fiction stories are hit or miss for me, but this book was so good! It made me laugh and feel good at the same time.

For loves of animals, romance, and/or science fiction, I highly recommend this book.

Reading about all these different worlds was so fun. There are so many great characters and worlds to get to know. All of these authors do a great job of pulling you right in with their writing. You can read a quick story here and there or sit and read it all right away. I can’t wait to read more from them. And another thing that really tugs at my heartstrings about this anthology is that the authors support and donate to Hero-Dogs.org. Coming from a family of veterans I can relate to how important this program really is. Ok so I’ll start with I am not a sci fi fan, so much so that I am probably one of very few that have to this day never seen even 1 star wars movie…but in saying that I am a huge pet fan, I have many of my own which is what drew me to this collection.

I have read stories by a couple of the authors involved in this collection and they are among some of my favorites what I really loved was finding some new authors to look into as the writing styles throughout were all amazing

This was actually fun to read and definitely outside of my normal choices and if your into the scifi you will love it. I found that I would have given both 4 and 5 stars throughout and although this did not change my mind about the genre i am very glad I gave it a chance because as I said the writing styles alone made it worth it.

Many thanks to all of the authors for making me actually enjoy something I don’t normally read.

Embrace the Passion (Pets in Space Anthologies, #3) by Various Authors – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

Embrace the Passion (Pets in Space Anthologies, #3)Embrace the Passion by S.E. Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Embrace The Passion is the third Pets in Space book. It is an anthology of science fiction romances, all featuring animals of some description, sold in support of an animal charity. There are 11 stories, each by a different author, and the stories are all very different and enjoyable.
The first story I read was Quashi. I was drawn to it as the cute fluffy aliens sounded a bit like tribbles. It turns out they aren’t exactly tribbles, but are similarly cute and disastrous! I liked the main character, Chanda, who is quite funny and relatable as she struggles to make the best out of a situation where she is hopelessly out of her depth!
Operation Ark is another great one, particularly if you’re after an array of different space animals! The animals do all seem to resemble Earth animals – they’re mostly introduced as “like x only bigger/a different colour”. But they have a lot of character and it’s an entertaining story! Like Quashi, there’s a mysterious creature no one knows much about that is developed over the course of the story.
I liked the space port setting in Starway and the way that Star, the sniffer dog, is introduced to the story. With lots of space politics and covert operations, it’s a gripping story with complex characters!
The stories are varied, but have in common exciting extra-terrestrial settings, animals with strong and loveable personalities and three-dimensional protagonists. For me, this is a overall a four star book. I’d recommend it to sci-fi fans who love animals and want to try out lots of different authors!

Four Stars

This is what I enjoy about reading. So many different writers coming together to create something unique. It shows that no matter the genre we all can come together and make something lasting and beautiful. All the stories were well written some stood out more than others but that’s to be expected. I really enjoyed Star Cruise Mystery Dancer. The characters had fun yet serious personalities. Tassia has a bond with dancing that we all wish we had. I love music so of course this one hit closer to my emotions. There is something so beautiful about a person when they express with dance. I also enjoyed Hunter of the Tide. That story was something I would read if politics got to me. You have to learn to just accept people for who they are and not judge them based on a few. Overall every story had you wanting more.

Another fantastic collection of stories from this brilliant series of anthologies. All eleven stories were great to read and enjoyed all of them. Some of these authors I have read before but some were new to me and it was really great to find new authors to love! There isn’t one particular story that I enjoyed the most but there are a couple that have stuck in mind because of their uniqueness one being ‘Operation Ark by Pauline Baird Jones’. I really enjoyed everything about it, the authors writing was rich and detailed and I felt like I was there in the story with the characters.
I’m not usually a fan of alien stories but ‘Desert Hunter by Anna Hackett’ certainly changed my mind about that! From the very first page I was completely captivated by the storyline, the characters and the authors writing.
Overall a great anthology full of exciting stories of which I am sure there is something for everyone!

Embrace the Passion (Pets in Space ) Anthology – Review by Sarah Oakes

Embrace the Passion (Pets in Space Anthologies, #3)Embrace the Passion by S.E. Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A brilliant anthology of tales featuring pets in space. In The Heart of the Cat alien shapeshifters search for a mythical item to help their people but discover there is more to the tale. In Desert Hunter on a fantasy world desert travellers Mersi and Bren help a stray dog and face their fears. In Star Cruise Mystery Dancer a talented dancer is more than she seems and has a mysterious pet. Or Operation Ark a tale of returning animals home and facing troubles on the way and many more captivating tales to explore in this fantatsic collection.
A great read. Well developed plots with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down.
Fast paced action and high stakes in wonderful fantasy worlds made for a highly captivating read throughout the novel. In particular, I loved the visual detail throughout the stories, in the sci fi nature of the world’s with two suns or extreme places like the desert with its dunes and harsh climate. Or the sarafin world with the exotic and eerie beauty of the forest kingdom with a sacred sense of magic and mystery. Overall, a great anthology and I would give it five stars.

Embrace the Passion (Pets in Space Anthologies, #3)Embrace the Passion
By: Various Authors
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Embrace the Passion (Pets In Space Anthologies #3) by various authors had the same uniqueness, fun/danger and otherworldly characters as the last installment.

I always love a good anthology, and I’ve been waiting for this one. As I read the last one, and loved every bit of it. The only thing with anthologies is that there are so many authors and stories, it’s hard to writing a review as a whole. So I’m not going to break down every stories, cause we would be here forever. But I will tell of the one I loved the most, and that was actually the first story. HEART OF THE CAT (Sarafin Warriors Series) By S.E. Smith.

The opening to this story was gripping from the first words. It was heart pounding and it instantly puts you on edge. It started like a prolog, before jumping to the “present”. The fast pace stayed the same and we are greeted with new characters that I soon came quiet attached to. The love story is sweet, the writing was solid and compelling, and my only complaint is that it was too short. It was a fantastic opener for this wicket collection. The other stories that follow are just as, or more entertaining and engaging. I haven’t managed to get through them all yet, but this anthology is well worth your time and energy.

I love the worlds that these authors have created, and even though they are all different, I felt like they were somehow all connected in that vase thing called space.

This book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval

Happy Reading.

Embrace the Passion: Pets in Space Anthology – Review by Angela Hayes

Embrace the Passion (Pets in Space Anthologies, #3)Embrace the Passion by S.E. Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Embrace the Passion is the third book in the Pets in Space Series. This fantastic book is an anthology of eleven enthralling romantic science fiction stories. Eleven talented authors each weave their own story, but all having the same theme of romance and sci-fi. All the stories are individual, with their own unique take on the theme, all creating their own identity, mood and tone.
The stories and authors are:

– Heart of the Cat By: S.E Smith
– Desert Hunter By: Anna Hackett
– Quashi By: Ruby Lionsdrake
– Star Cruise By: Veronica Scott
– Operation Ark By: Pauline Baird Jones
– Cats of War By: Carol Van Natta
– Hunter of the Tide By: Tiffany Roberts
– Stairway By: Alexis Glynn Latner
– The Cats of Bajo Anteros XII By: E.D Walker
– Out of the Shadows By: J.C Hay
– After the Fall By: Kyndra Hatch

The book pulled me in right from the beginning and kept me entertained and turning the pages to discover what new world, situation, couple, or interesting ‘pet’ I would discover next. There were so many varied ‘pets’ in this anthology- I am in awe of the authors talents and the way they brought their stories to life. All the ‘worlds’, stories, characters, scenarios and creatures were totally realistic and believable, as each author brought their ‘world’/story to life. As each story progressed, I was drawn even further into the book and it was quite easy to lose myself in the book for a while, in a good way. I love that this anthology supports HeroDogs.org- who help place specially trained dogs with veterans. So, by purchasing this anthology not only are you getting a fantastic read, but also supporting a very worthy charity in the process!
Some of these authors I am familiar with, and have contributed to previous instalments, but a lot of these authors were new to me which is always exciting to find new works/writers to add to my author list and TBR.
If you enjoy really well written romantic science fiction, with wonderful worlds and entertaining characters- then this is definitely the book for you!

Thank you to all the contributing authors!

Embrace the Passion (Pets in Space 3) by Various Authors
5 Stars!!!!!

I ask you what more could one ask for but cute pets and space? This is the third collective and I
have to say I wasn’t disappointed. I like how a collective of authors can all bring such life
to space and add a touch or romance with the pets as an added bonus.

This collection is very vast and I really enjoyed them all but my absolute favorite was The Bajo Cats
of AnterosXII by E.D. Walker. I am a crazy cat lady at heart and the whole story was quite interesting
to me. I like how the author had the alien cats have a defense mechanism that when young they cant
control. I like how Zandro and Aliette work things out and how there is just enough drama in this
short story to really get the reader engrossed in it and not able to put the book down till then end.
The author has a real interesting take on how different pets in space can be and also tackles real
life issues with the conservation efforts of Zandro. I really would like to read more from this author
in future.

I have a close second to my favorite and that is Quashi: (A Mandrake Company Story) by Ruby
Lionsdrake. This story reminded me so much of the Star Trek episode The Trouble with Tribbles.
I like how the author’s unique writing style brings this different creature to life.

The whole sort of chemistry between Chanda and Kor is quite refreshing. This short story has a lot
of drama that works around the blossoming romance of the two. The mystery that evolves during the
story helps to bring them together and also helps Chanda really achieve her original purpose. This
author does a great job in such a short expanse and grips the reader from page one. I would like to
read more from his author in the future.

I finally have one more favorite and that is Starway by Alexis Glynn Latner. This was full of adventure
this one. I have to admit that I was quite impressed the amount the author was able to get in such a short
story. I really do like these anthologies of short stories as they highlight such talent.

I really found myself routing for Nikka through this book but I have to admit at first I didn’t expect
her and Danyel to end up. I find that the author has a very refreshing writing style that grabs you
and brings you into the book and gets straight to the point. There was quite a bit of drama that
played out in this short story and I look forward to reading more from this author.

When I read an anthology I am always drawn to at least one story. The rest are the added bonus and I find
that this collection is full of the stories that I like to read and I know I will find myself reading
this collection over and over.

There are a variety of plots and storylines. There is both action and adventure. There were times when I was turning pages to find out what happens next. Anthologies are wonderful to read as you introduced to new authors and their different writing styles. I liked the sci-fi angle of the stories that I read. Romance is also in the air as well. I loved the attention to detail that is given and I found myself feeling like I was right there with the characters seeing what they did. Recommended.
