Aimme wheels is true to herself and does not follow the masses. The dialogue between Aimee and Qadair is subpar at best. This book does create strong emotions. I wish there was a bit more hear in this book overall a decent read.

This was a spur of the moment read… and boy was I surprised!!! I feel that the cover doesn’t really do this book justice. The story is superb and the characters are great especially Wheels aka Aimee. She’s a strong independent woman who saves the handsome prince, nit onc, but twice.. who saw that coming?

Excellent character building. My only critique is I would have loved to hear more about Aimee’s back story

Something About Aimee has a bit of everything in it and I love it. The many twists and turns in this book will have your emotions all over the place, I couldn’t put it down!

Aimee is a street-smart, no holds barred kind of girl living the free life in New York City. She is a street courier on a skateboard that seems to banish any kind of preconceived notions anyone has of her. Using her street smarts, she saves royal Sheikh Qadir from assassination. Qadir is drawn to her for many reasons and saving his life is just one. Every time Aimee has something to say, Qadir finds himself astounded.

I enjoy how strong-willed Aimee is and also that Qadir is not at all intimidated by her. This book threw me for a loop a few times! I thought I knew where it was going, and it would change direction. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend picking it up. I’m headed to get the second book in the series now!

I feel like the romance wasn’t the focal point of this book. Or rather, falling in love wasn’t the point. It made the beginning seem rushed, like the author just wanted to get it over with until boom they’re in love, which was a little aggravating. Once I got over the fact that it took them 2 seconds to fall in love, I could enjoy the book a lot better. It was action-packed, there was a little heartbreak, a lot if plot twists, it was enjoyable. Would recommend to people who don’t like slowburn romance.

This book is full of action, suspense and romance. Aimee and Quadir come from different worlds and meet under a high tense situation. These two probably would have never met if Aimee wouldn’t have stepped in when she did. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I couldn’t stop reading even after it was time to go to sleep. I was rooting for these two throughout the entire story. Quadir is a wealthy man with a lot of responsibility, and Aimee is a street smart, independent, smart young lady. Even though these two couldn’t be more different I couldn’t help but want them to have everything they dreamed of. This was a very entertaining story. I highly recommend this book.

What I loved the most about this book is that the characters really are worlds apart from each other. Their situations couldn’t be any more different and yet somehow it worked – without either having to make great changes to their personality in the process. I enjoyed this because I connected with the characters right from the start and would have hated for them to have completely changed by the end of the story.
The storyline was pretty good too. I was caught up in what was happening, and the emotions that ran through the book. I thought the author did a great job of making you, as the reader, become invested in what was happening. Overall, I thought this was a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to exploring more of this authors work.

There’s something about Aimee was a story that had me on the edge of my seat. There was so many unexpected twists and turns. It was a little more heated than I prefer, but overall it was a great story. I love Aimee and her character. She is a total kick butt girl, who can hold her own and is brilliant. I kept wishing we knew more about her past, and then my wishes were granted. The author did a great job of building the characters slowly. It had kind of a 50 shades feel to it, as I look back. Rich powerful male, inexperienced young girl (altho homeless was a nice twist) but it makes for a good story.
Qadir was a character I didn’t like at first but he grew on me. I love his brother Tarek and his dad, and hope they make it into further stories. To be honest, the names was hard to pronounce, which I always hate, but I guess they are middle eastern so it’s to be expected… overall, it was a good book. The epilogue was a good wrap up and made me love Qadir.

Qadir and Aimee get to know each other, but circumstances will be set in motion that leaves Aimee in Witness Protection, and Qadir thinking that she is dead. Something About Aimee by S.E. Smith is book one in their Girls From the Streets series. Aimee and Qadir couldn’t be any more different. One grew up with what many would consider a rough childhood with a lot of street smarts. And one grew up in a palace, surrounded by luxury and security. When the pair unexpectedly meet, sparks immediately fly. I have to say, I had high hopes for the story but things seemed to happen almost too fast. The instant attraction was understandable but the quick love and almost overwhelming infatuation was a bit strange. Aimee seems to throw herself into danger and being wealthy and of status Qadir seems to bring it. The story could have used a little more heat and spice over danger. That said, overall the story was good. Just felt as though some things could have been a little better.

Something About Aimee is definitely the best book I’ve read this year. This story is about a homeless young woman named Aimee Wheels and a prince named Sheikh Qadir Saif-Ad-Din. Aimee is a strong free spirited woman with the most enchanting personality. Her character drew me to the story from the first moment i read about her. Qadir’s love and fascination with Aimee will definitely make your heart skip a beat. This story is full of action, fun, sexy seens and much more. My heart is so happy that I picked up this book to read and could not put it down!! The story totally consumed me from beginning to end. This story had it all…. action, deceit, love and a few steamy scenes!

Aimee Wheels is such a free spirit and hustling day to day as a courier in NYC. When a small bet is wagered if she can get a delivery on time..Aimee is up to the task…but little did she know that the delivery also changes her life. Sheik Qadir Saif Ad Din radiates power and is royalty tries to get some attention by Aimee, at first she dismisses him. When an assassination attempt against Qadir starts in full motion, Aimee saves his life. After that fateful attempt….Qadir and Aimee’s chemistry hits off the charts..but they both come from different worlds….will their differences keep them apart when chaos ensues?

There is so much more to this book but I dont want to give any spoilers away…I could talk about this story forever. The characters of Qadir and Aimee are fantastic, and even though they have different upbringings, they both share so much love not only for each other but to their families and friends as well. I did not want this story to end and I look forward to reading book #2!

Oh My! How can this be the first time I have read a book by this author?!?! Could I have chosen a better book to start off with!? Oh, how fun this story was to read! Aimee is the coolest chick ever! She certainly doesn’t need anyone. Living the way she chooses, even if it isn’t the safest of neighborhoods. She has her friends and her skateboard, which I am surprised she hasn’t named.

When Aimee runs into Qadir things take a different turn.

“How many others were like Aimee; vibrant and capable, but just one unlucky moment away from complete disaster?” – Hits a little personal. So many people are just one unlucky moment, one car break down, one sickness, one unlucky moment away from complete disaster. Is there something Qadir can do to help, to encourage, to teach…

Aimee and Qadir have an instant attraction but neither one wants to believe it. I really love this story and can’t wait to see what else happens to these characters and their friends/family!

Aimee is a street smart woman who is a courier for deliveries in New York City when she happens across an assassination attempt on the life of a Sheik Qadir Saif-Ad-Din from a Middle Eastern country. In her effort to thwart the assassination, she manages to put herself on the radar of some very unsavory characters. While saving Qadir, she also draws his attention and there is an instant connection between them. Aimee lives in an abandoned warehouse because her life hasn’t quite been what you’d hope for, and the Sheik has been raised in the lap of luxury, and is finally seeing the life that is lived by those with way less means. When Qadir’s life is put in danger, Aimee must put everything on the line to save him again, and hopefully find her happily ever after.

Wow! From the beginning the author gets you to visualize the workroom at Becker Courier Service. You can feel the excitement and chaotic atmosphere of those who work at there. Aimee wheels takes the bet and the bonus to get a last minute delivery out in less than a half hour. What she doesn’t realize is this delivery will change her life when she ends up saving “Mr. Moneybags” and gets shot while doing so.
The story is well written, I connected with the characters, felt the ups and downs of two different worlds colliding in a romance, and the action and danger that Aimee and Qadir face throughout the story. I would definitely recommend this book and I’m looking forward to the next book in the Girls from the Street series.

I enjoyed reading this romance story that has a touch of suspense to it. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. One of the things I enjoy about this author is their writing skills. They are able to bring the story to life with ease and made me feel as if I was part of the story. This is a well written story about Aimee and Qadir. They are complete opposites but they do have one thing in common, someone is out to kill them. Will they find a way to love despite what life is throwing at them? I enjoyed watching their growth as well as their chemistry. They are great characters that added to the story for me. They certainly had me coming back for more. They are strong and supportive characters that made the story easy and entertaining to read. I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book.

To be honest, I picked this novel up because I really love when the novels I read have a character with the same name as I do, even if it isn’t spelled correctly! I absolutely loved the plot of this adventure, and the way that the female lead, Aimee, is a strong, independent woman, that way because she had no other choice. She knows what she wants and goes for it, and puts her all into everything that she does. I love that about a person, and I really was able to connect with her throughout this fantastic read.

One of my other favorite things is that there aren’t any lulls. There seems to be something always going on, and not in a way that makes the reader feel overwhelmed or unsure as to what the real story is. The author has a wonderful way with words, the descriptive nature brings the reader in and doesn’t let them go, even after the story ends. I very much look forward to reading more about the Girls from the Street, and by this author. Well done!

OMG!!! If you haven’t read this book, my question is why. This book has everything, action, humor, drama, twists, romance, steam, turns and did I mention drama?? What a series opener!!!!

From the first chapter to the last, this book had me hooked. I almost threw my phone a couple of times when I couldn’t believe what was happening but I was calmed back down by a twist or something.

Aimee’s entire life has been on the street. She knows the ins, the outs, the highways, the byways, the no gos, and everything in between. She had to learn them to survive. Aimee has a small collection of the most interesting friends. She never knows when she will need one for something. One night when she is making a final delivery for the courier service she works for, she saves the life of a very important man, except she has no idea who he is.

He is Sheik Qadir Saif-Ad-Din, the heir to the throne of Jawahir. Qadir is instantly memorized by this tiny creature that shows more street smarts than his highly trained guards. Qadir knows that Aimee isn’t one that can be caged or is interested in the trappings of his title. Aimee is wild and free, like the desert wind. As the danger mounts around Qadir, Aimee must make some life shattering choices. But when Qadir is captured and being held hostage, will Aimee risk everything to help him?

This book was fantastic. I can’t wait for the next in the series. Idella is more than she appears to be?? Yep, I am hooked. I didn’t need another series but I am not letting this one go!!

Will the dangers in their lives keep them apart?

Aimee is lovable, strong, witty, and not afraid to be herself. Her lifestyle forces her to pay more attention than the average person. Her wit really pulled me in; she’s rough around the edges, but has the biggest heart.

Qadir only knows a life of ultimate luxury and power. When he’s powerless against Aimee it makes him want her even more.

After a chance encounter, when Aimee saves Qadir’s life, they will never be the same. Saving Qadir’s life could cost Aimee her own. Through twists and turns they find themselves trying to work together when danger rips them apart.

S.E. Smith did a great job keeping the story moving. Something About Aimee is a quick read that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Street-savvy Aimee, a woman content in the life of simplicity she has managed to survive with, finds herself in the precarious situation of saving someone on one of her courier jobs. Little does she know, Aimee has just saved Sheikh Qadir Saif-Ad-Din – a royal. Soon, the unlikely couple finds themselves falling for each other – but that doesn’t mean everything is about to fall into place… This was a wonderful read! I always love a good romance, but the action and overall flow of the story went beyond the typical sweetness of a solid romance and transformed the tale into an amazing story! Many romantic-suspense books fall short of the mark, with either too much romance or not enough, but this one had it all – as well as the added bonus of great world-building and intricate characters. If you’re looking for a burning romance with the added spice of adventure, this is the book for you!

I was pleasantly surprised with Something About Aimee. S. E. Smith did an amazing job of drawing the reader in from the first chapter and never letting go! I found myself on the edge of my seat, invested in the romance between Aimee and Qadir. The descriptions of the different settings makes the reader feel like you are on the streets with Aimee or in the desert with Qadir. S. E. Smith uses great character building and an opposites attract romance, which I absolutely loved. There are so many twists and turns in the story, but somehow, it all meshes well. Something About Aimee is like a modern-day Cinderella mixed with a crime drama, complete with quick love and sneaky international criminals! I cannot wait to read more books by S. E. Smith.

Something About Aimee (Girls from the Street Book 1)Something About Aimee by S.E. Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow, honestly I am reeling from reading this book. Managed to read it in a day, literally could not put it down for too long.
Aimee aka Wheels, found abandoned as a new born on Dai de los Muertos, taken on and raised by her finder Yolanda, Wheels an honestly open and free spirited look on life; and it is no surprise that she lives life to the full. Living in an empty building looking after a family of cats, she has such a wide and diverse group of friends. From gang leaders and their grandparents, to shop keepers and Jazz singers the group of people that surround her is as colourful as it is diverse. Not held back by the constraints of a normal life she works as a parcel courier using her skateboard to get around. Aimee is a true heroine, showing us how strong a female can be.
Sheikh Qadir, crown prince and business man cannot be further from the life Aimee lives. He is transfixed by the small in stature but larger than life girl that attempts to and does save his life when he is targeted by terrorists. The one his Chosen, his feisty saviour. Their relationship is destined to be left incomplete when Aimee is taken into witness protection as her life is threatened after she sees a dirty cop kill his partner whilst trying to get hold of photos of mercenaries and their crimes in Qadirs home country.
After years later due to witness protection, when Qadir finds Aimee is still alive, I found myself cheering for the couple as they try to find their way back together.
The story is fast paced and hooks you straightaway, the characters are constantly growing and evolving, showing human strength and emotion. The world that is built by the author is bright and intriguing. Definitely a book worth reading, I hope the rest of the series is as engaging.

Wheels, born on the streets and learned how to take care of herself and those she cares the most about. Qadir, born to rule, everything given to him, yet knows how to work hard, and works to get what he wants. What happens when Wheels saves his life, and stays a mystery to him.

This book was so good. I literally finished it within 24 hours of picking it up for the first time. The mystery behind Aimee, made me keep turning every single page. Then how much love she showed to everyone in her area. Need a new dress? She found a friend and they helped pull a drop dead gorgeous outfit together.

Reading the love story between Qadir and Aimee is so heartfelt. I loved every single detail and the eloquent style of writing S.E. Smith put into this book.

The ending seemed a bit abrupt for me. Without describing a spoiler, big news happened and then one chapter later the book was over. I would love to read more about Aimee and Qadir, how they go through life and their new life changes. But, I cannot wait to read the second book and hopefully the bad guys are caught and things come together a bit more. Maybe we will also see Aimee and Qadir more in the next book.

All in all, this book was written perfectly, and my only complaint is small, and I am a sucker to see characters live out their lives in books, versus just seeing part of their life.
