This isn’t your typical love story. Climbing The Walls is the first book in the Hart & Cole Series by Sacha T. Y. Fortune. You typically read stories where the main characters are single looking for love. This story is quite the opposite. Kris and Nicole are married with two great kids. Nicole often wonders how she can deserve Kris. Nicole works…a lot! She’s a journalist and writer who has a boss that is constantly on her. All she wants is to be a better wife and mother. But when her boss confides in her that he is having marital problems, that when things get a bit shaky. This book really shows the ups and downs of marriage and the things we need to do to keep it together. I really enjoyed this book and all of the characters in it. This was a really easy story to read and ended up to be very intriguing. This is the first time I have read this author and was thoroughly impressed. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! This is for all you married people out there!

“Climbing the Walls” is about a family that has grown into its dysfunction. Therefore, they don’t see it until it is too late. Most of us who read romance novels are used to reading about our characters meeting someone new, or realizing it was their best friend all along. This story is different because it takes place after all of the romance, exploration, and realizations. It shows how easily things can fall apart when, all along, it all looked perfect. The characters are exciting, the plot is riveting, and the story line always thickens. This is a story about a family whose whole lifestyle is on the line. I could see this book becoming a movie, and really good one at that!

If you’re looking for a romance read that will rattle you and characters that will change you then this is the book for you. It is told by two different point of views so it does interchange between characters. This novel, in my opinion, reflects real life events. The emotion that is shown in the writing is so raw that it makes your heart hurt for the main characters. In this novel, happy isn’t something that comes easy in the end. It tells that love is worth fighting for.

I give Climbing the Walls (Hart and Cole Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortuné 5 out of 5 stars. This is the best novel I have read in a long time! I love the characters and the way it switches back and forth between them, as it gives perspective to each side of the story. The storyline is very relatable and even pointed out a few lines to my husband! This story centers around a married couple, Nicole and Kris, and their two kids. It shows the highs and lows of married life and the struggle to keep a modern, working family afloat. The writing is clever and fresh and is a page-turner, for sure. I highly recommend this book and will definitely be checking out more by this author.

This was my first book by Sacha T.Y. Fortuné. This story revolves around a married couple, Nicole and Kris. The book has both sides told so you can be in each person’s shoes when something happens. It’s actually quite brilliant. Normally in a book, you are on one person’s “side” because that’s the only side you read. During this rollercoaster of emotions you get to understand the character more deeply, because you hear their side and see how they react through the other person’s perspective as well.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T.Y. Fortuné

Climbing The Walls ( Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. This book was very good. It was told by the husband and wife’s perspectives which I loved. Its the story of Kris a loving husband and father who wants nothing more than a happily ever after with Nicole. Nicole is a power hungry business woman and loves to love. Throw in her crazy boss Darren and his marriage that’s falling apart and you get a big fat mess. Nicole loves her kids and Kris and she wants nothing more than to be a great mom and even better wife but she’s so driven by her work she can’t seem to control herself. Darren uses that to his advantage. Nicole needs to decide if she can help Darren and keep her job all without getting a divorce of her own. This is a fast paced read, once you start you won’t put it down. I really enjoyed it.

Hart and Cole book 1
By
Sacha T.Y. Fortune

Nicole and Kris are a married couple with two kids, this is not your typical love story, in the way that these two start out married and stay married. It is a story about a journey the two take and how they change. Finding themselves and improving their marriage. This is my first book by this author and my first love story of this kind. All in all I was sucked in right away and it held my attention throughout the book. Mostly because it was a different kind of love story. I highly recommend this book. It is a refreshing change.

This book is so raw and so mind gripping, it feels real, there is so much emotion in this story it makes you feel part of it. I was in two minds about nicole i wanted to like her but there was just something making me hate her, the way she is a wife with two kids and just seems like an absolute bitch, and Kris deserves so much better, but they just seem to fit somehow with so much sexual chemistry you almost want to be her.

Climb The Walls by Sacha T.Y. Fortune is the first book in the Hart and Cole Series. It is a contemporary romance book with a twist. I loved it! It is a very intriguing story about the ups and downs of married life. No marriage is perfect nor easy and this story emphasizes that. The story does jump between characters, and i love that too! I like to stories that show both sides of the characters point of view as well. If you like steamy, romance that shows all the real life ups and downs of a marriage I highly recommend. Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T.Y. Fortuné

Kris and Nicole are two people in love, they are a husband and wife team with two kids, a team which normally work well together, they have the week worked out around work, play and family life, but they also work in high power and long hour jobs, two in Nicole’s case and as much as they try, but when they try and communicate, it doesn’t always work out as planned and fights do happen, even though the makeup sex is most definitely worth it when all is forgiven.

Tuesday morning rises up bright and early with Kris and Nicole’s daughter bouncing up and down on his stomach as Nicole gets ready for work, he is hoping that after their fight the night before that she will forgive him and that there will be a white rose on her pillow to confirm it, but he is also dreading if it isn’t there at the same time, but when it is, he is giddy with happiness and he wants to tell her how he feels, but doesn’t get the chance, she is still acting a little cool towards him, but it is because her boss has sprung another last minute dinner on her, so he is in charge of the kids again.

While he is sat having breakfast, he thinks about the rose tradition and when it started on their honeymoon, the discussion which led to it and the actions it led to, not to mention thinking about the crazy hot sex they had been having multiple times a day while on it, after Nicole had complained about the fake roses and demanded fresh ones, they had an unplanned discussion about their parents and what they thought of their kids spouses, but this led to an argument and Nicole leaving their suite, however when she returned to find that Kris had fallen out of the bed and onto his front, she tells him that she realised while out walking why she love him and darn it had to practically bribe a hotem employee to find her one of the fake roses she hated so much and that leads to more love making and deciding on what their first kids names would be.

When she sets off and takes their son with her, he and his daughter spend some time together before he drops her off at kindergarten, but she straight up tells him that she heard them fighting the night before and that it upset her brother so she had to look after him, Kris is gutted to hear it and the fact that they were so wrapped up in their own argument, they didn’t hear them. Meanwhile, Nicole is driving to work, but has to stop on the side of the road when she starts to cry thinking about the conversation she overheard between Kris and their daughter, it upsets their son, so she bribes him with cookies and asks him not to tell the others she was crying, she is also thinking about how she knows that her daughter is a daddy’s girl and her son may end up the same way, even if he isn’t at the moment, that could change, she feels guilty that she doesn’t spend as much time with them as she would like, but when she forgets about an important meeting at her daughters school which she insisted on going to by herself, she is confronted by Kris when the school phoned him at work to find out why she didn’t turn up, this is something she knows she has done wrong, but when she tries to make it up to them with a tech free weekend, she breaks another promise, but this time one that Kris made to her daughter and she realises that she has really screwed up this time when she tries to sneak a call to her boss in and is caught in the act by her daughter.

As the tensions rise in the household and despite both parties trying to communicate and not quite managing, things keep happening to thwart their efforts, including Nicole’s boss opening up about his own marital problems, but hearing how easy marriages can fall apart, she starts to worry if hers is heading the same way, but can they work out their differences and remember what they love about each other before it is too late? This is a romance about enduring love and what keeping a marriage together can really take, it is a realistic take on the genre and one which takes you on an emotional rollercoaster too while you read to the end to find out what happens.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T.Y. Fortuné
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the way the author writes and how we get to see the marriage and the story from both sides. This books shows that marriage isn’t always perfect, that no matter how perfect things look that isn’t always the case. As a married woman myself I can relate to some of the issues in this book and the feelings that have been felt by both characters. It is a really raw true to life read.

Nicole is a hard working woman. She works full time and her job is important. Mostly her job takes priority for her children which is hard for them to accept.

Kris works hard too but he spends more time with his children. While he had a good relationship with his children, Nicole does not and it seems everytime she tried it fails.

Nicole knows her marriage isn’t perfect but when her boss Darren confides in her about his marriage problems it’s makes Nicole worry about her own marriage.

Are her and Kris as strong as she thinks? Can they really overcome everything or are they need their breaking point?

I found this book interesting to read because it deals with the harsh reality that marriage isn’t always perfect and happy…it takes a lot of work!
Kris and Nicole’s story is told from both sides….which took a couple chapters to get used to. However, once I did, I found it intriguing to see the story from both sides. Kris is in love with his wife…but wishes she would give as much effort to her family as she does to her job. Nicole is a workaholic who is trying to please her boss, at the expense of her family.
There were times that I found myself disliking both Kris and Nicole…only to come to the realization that this is real life. Relationships take constant work and failure to work at it, or let it sit idly on the sidelines, will cause to to begin to crumble.
This book is not a quick read…but it is worth it. I would set the book down and come back to it to see how their story would conclude. It just drew me in and I felt invested as the story continued. Overall, a good read!

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book One) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune was a great good read. It was very engrossing and entertaining, by being a very realistic novel. The characters weren’t exactly likeable, which I assume was the point with the whole theme of the novel. Both had their faults in matters at hand. While I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and found it engrossing when I could get into it, a lot of the novel was out of my grasp I felt because it was very drawn out. It felt like it was written in a stream of consciousness kind of way, and that kind of writing style makes my mind wander and makes it hard for me to focus on the story. But overall this was a very good novel and I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

Climbing the Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortune is book one of the Hart and Cole series.

Kris fell in love with Nicole and he still feels that way. He’s proud of how hard she works he just wishes she put that much effort into their family. Nicole wants to be worth of Kris. She’s not sure how she managed to get him to fall for her but she wants to make sure it stays that way but it’s hard not to go running when her boss needs her. She realizes she has room to improve as a mother and she wants to do what she can to be better. Can she keep her family together before it’s too late?

This book highlights very well that marriage isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. It’s a partnership but it’s not always equal. The story was good and I found myself wanting to know what was going to happen but it felt a bit dragged out. It was very detailed but I think at times a little too detailed. I can’t wait to see how the story continues in the next book.

This series MUST be read in order, all books pick up where the last left off.

Pandora’s Price follows the POV of Darren and Luisa again, and the continuation of the deal Darren made. The emotions packed into this book, made me feel like I was dealing with pregnancy hormones with the ups and downs and shocking moments.
I cannot express how much of a must read this series is, it’s something to experience for sure. And I can’t wait for the next book and getting to know those characters now.

Pandora’s Price by Sacha T.Y. Fortuné is the the third installment of the Hart & Cole Series. This book is the continuation of Darren and Luisa’s story, which starts off from where book 2 ended. This book is not a standalone and must read books 1 & 2 to get the back story on the characters in the story. This series is not your typical “love story”, there are everyday issues that go on in real marriages and relationships. This story touches on the subject of infidelity and how it affects more than one couple. You can’t get any closer to real life in this story, as Sacha T.Y. Fortuné has written a jaw dropping and raw storyline. I am completely hooked to this series and can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Pandora’s Price is book three in the Hart & Cole series by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné. A dynamic series that captivates and titillates. A cast of characters that take your breath away, astound you and leave you desperate for more.

Darren and Luisa’s saga continues and the drama just builds, achingly tantalising, creating a nail biting intensity that showcases the brilliance that is in every paragraph. The characters are complicated, difficult, but simple in their base wants and needs. They crave the most simplest things. Want, love, acceptance, forgiveness, kindness, tolerance, understanding. The feelings these characters brought out in each other was so mesmerising, so passionate. I could not have wished for a more explosive drama. It was everything. 5 stars

Please do not read this series out of order. You will be doing yourself and the author a disservice.

This is one of those unexplainable series that took me on such an emotional ride. There is so much realism in the writing that it was like watching relationships my friends are involved in. There are so many personalities and events that take place in this series. Like I’ve said in a previous review, this is not all unicorns and glittery rainbows, it’s raw and emotional and real. I know I’m repeating myself.

Told in dual POV, we are invited in to understand both sides of the story. As a result of that, opinions of events changed as the series continued.

A multi-dimensional story with complex characters, I definitely recommend reading this series.

Wow! I can’t believe this story. These characters are something else. So much emotion and pain written here. The author didn’t care how you felt. The author just wanted you to feel what the characters felt. To experience what they felt when their world was falling apart. Darren is an incredible man to give as much as he had. He was not perfect but he was close. Part of me wants him to leave Lou. She definitely doesn’t deserve him. He did wrong but her transgressions were worse. I have read the growth and character through every book. And I’m ready for something amazing to happen. These characters have changed so much and it’s amazing how the author achieved their success. I really enjoyed the writing style.

Pandora’s Price is the third book in the Hart & Cole series by Sacha T. Y. Fortune. As this is the third book, I would highly recommend reading the other two books first. Ms. Fortune has a knack for getting me hook on the first book and I could not wait to read the other two books. There is action, mystery, plus all the emotions that go into a marriage. Her characters are complex and really easy to like one minute and dislike the next minute. I have tried to read this story and be one with Luisa to see what she was seeing and feeling. I felt all the raw emotions of Luisa. I could not help but to bond with Luise, I felt like she was a friend and tried to talk to her (even though she could not hear me) about what I was seeing. There is so much more to this story I want to leave this up to you to go through all the emotions, thrills, and chills on your own.

Thank you Sacha T.Y. Fortune this was an awesome series.

This series has completely hooked me from the very beginning to the point I’m slightly obsessed with it. This is book 3 in the Hart & Cole dynamic series and it blew me away!

In this book we dive more into Darren and Luisa’s marriage. Their marriage has a lot of ups and downs but what marriage doesn’t but their story will captivate you. It’s not an easy story to read emotionally but I loved every single page of it.

Miss Fortune has a beautiful way with words. This series is such a griping read. I’ve been hooked since book one and I’m dying for more. DEFINITELY don’t read as a standalone. There is so much story in the other books that they need to be read in order. This author has made my top must read list!

A great read about marriage. After the events of the last book, Darren and Luisa try to salvage what is left of their marriage. But with a sea of lies and secrets and her lover Gianni still hanging around, perhaps nothing can go back to the way things were. With all this troubled past comes a wedge that drives between Luisa and Darren. Can they put it behind them or is all too late?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Luisa trying to do what makes her happy despite everything or Darren struggling with his feelings. Great cast of supporting characters like the fun loving and supportive Vicki or the kind sweet Kris.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the scenes in the gala later on full of life and people with vibrant coloured dresses against the walls. Or the colourful décor of Valentines day with reds and pinks against Luisa’s mood contrasting beautifully. I also loved the sense of the everyday with the coffee shop and the kitchen counters with the everyday feel of the dialogue between characters making the sory feel more realistic.
The switch of perspectives worked well to display both sides of the story and was easy to follow with names in chapter titles. I also liked the use of the swimming pool facts which help both Darren and the reader try to keep calm against the events of the narrative. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

This is the second part to Darren and Luisa’s story, this one has grit and heart in the story and will compel you, its not sweetness and cookies, but its real and filled with drama. The pair of them will make you want to knock some heads together, but also give them the biggest warmest hugs as you may love each of them, but as we all know you don’t always like the people you love.
