Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2)
By Sacha T. Y. Fortuné

I absolutely loved reading the first book in this series and couldn’t wait to start this one and I’m so glad I wasn’t disappointed. If you haven’t read the first it is my suggestion that you do so before diving into this one so you have more of a back story. This book delved deeper into the complicated marriage of Darren and Luisa. The emotions run high throughout the entire story. This book took me further into both sides of their story, where I felt like the first one was more one sided, but don’t get me wrong they are both amazing stories! This story kept me intrigued and I couldn’t put it down till I got to the end and then I was left wanting more. I was taken on a rollercoaster of emotion as I read this wonderfully detailed well written story. I can’t say enough great things about this book except that it is a must read!! I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one.

I remember when I read the first book in this series I thought this author is going to be brilliant and I was right! I loved the first book, which was the author’s debut novel, but this one was just outstanding. I was hypnotised by the authors words, so much so that once I started reading life around me couldn’t continue until I had finished! This is a continuation of the first book so it should be read after book 1. The story flowed so well and was effortless to read.
Darren and Luisa had a story that was so detailed and complex that I was completely absorbed by it. I loved that it was told from both sides as well as I felt like I was able to understand them both so much better.
I am so, so excited for book 3, I literally cannot wait to get my hands on it – I have this feeling that it is going to be an amazing read!!!

Pandora's Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2)Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great read about moving on. Darren and his wife Luisa try to move on from the events of the last book. But it isn’t easy with threats of divorce over their heads. It gets harder when Luisa’s ex lover Gianni returns into the picture. He seems harmless enough at first, simply wanting to get to know Kady But when events escalate and past feelings rear their heads. Can their marriage survive any more troubles?
A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Luisa trying to do whats best and look after her children or Gianni standing up for himself whilst struggling with his feelings.
However I found Darren too brash to be likeable and struggled to sympathise with his situationso perhaps if this harsh exterior was reduced a little, this would help the reader engage with his character.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel in the sense of the everyday life with the offices and schools and busy streets with a town full of life and people. Or the colourful nature of the orange umbrella against the rain written beautifully.
The switch between perspectives worked well to display both sides of events and was wel written and easy to follow with their names as headings. I also liked the use of dates and times for subtitles in chapters to show how time had passed and things had changed. Also the inclusion of texts and phone call conversations into the narrative was a brilliant addition, adding to the feel of everyday life within the novel. The only issue I would raise is that the flashbacks to meeting Nicole felt out of place and distracted from the narrative of the present situation and tere was some repetition in places. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

The story Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2) by Sacha T. Y. Fortune’ is a contemporary romance book. This is a story that drew me in from the very beginning and had me hooked. I found myself getting lost in the pages reading about Darren and Luisa. I enjoyed reading their story. It is moving and makes you wonder what you would do if in their situation. Their lives and marriage are at the very least what you could call complicated. Issues of trust, jealousy, and consequences make up their world. There is emotional and confrontational dialogue/interactions between Darren and Luisa as well as some of the other characters. There are times when I would be puzzled by the actions taken by the characters and wondered what would happen because of them. The story is told from both of this couple’s POV. As you read each of their perspectives you get to know their characters and the challenges that they face. How do Darren and Luisa deal with their emotions and life together? Read this story to find out. This is a book that had my emotions going on an up and down as well as wondering what was going to happen next. It is also a story that I continued to ponder over in my mind long after I had finished reading. This is a series that I would recommend. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Pandora’s Poison is an amazing continuation to Hart & Cole series. Sacha T. Y. Fortune does a wonderful job jumping right into the next phase of Darren and Luisa’s story. I would HIGHLY recommend reading book one so you can enjoy this story even more. There is a roller coaster ride of emotions. That is the appeal of this book to me as well. Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T.Y Fortune is the second book in the Hart & Cole Series. I recommend that the first book is read first. This is a continuation of the first book. The characters are well written. The story has a bit of everything and felt like a roller coaster of emotion. The story is compelling and had me wondering where the story would go. I liked that the story was told from a dual point of view. I felt that this added to the story because it allows the reader to see the story from both sides. I look forward to reading the third book to see how everything works out in the end.

Climbing The Walls (Hart and Cole Series #1) By Sacha T.Y Fortune – Review by Stephanie Dulac

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Climbing the walls by Sacha T.Y Fortune is my first book I’ve read by this author. Climbing the wall is a Absolutely stunning read and is Book 1 in the Hart and Cole Series. Let me start off by saying I love the way this book is written. You get to know what Kris and Nicole are feeling it’s written from both sides so you get to know them both really well and get to understand who was thinking what. Nicole is a workaholic wife and mother who has a high demand job and Kris is more hands on with the kids and being home. Kris and Nicole are trying to balance Work, Love, Kids and everything life throws at them. Climbing the walls is a long book to read it is not one you can read in a short time but the way its written keeps you absorbed and wanting more you will not be disappointed. I can not wait to read book two and see what’s next.

Pandora's Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2)Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné, 4 stars.
*Spoilers from book one are contained in this review*

Darren Hart is a self-made rich and powerful man. He loves his job. And he loves his wife, even if he doesn’t show it anymore. Even after her affair and the child by another man, he has stayed by her. Their relationship has not been good in a long time, but he doesn’t want her to go. He is a man who gets what he wants, and he wants his wife and children.

Luisa has had enough. That horrible night was the last straw. She cannot do it anymore. But she is told that her chance of custody in a divorce is very slim. She has been a stay-at-home mother to a rich and powerful man for too long. So she has to bite the bullet and go back home. She can go back to work and make her chances better. But he says he wants to make it work. Does he really? His snide comments tell her otherwise, but this is the almighty Darren Hart. And what does she really want? What about the child’s father? Now that he knows, he wants to see his child. But is that all he wants?

This was a very complex book. I will be honest, I liked this one better than the first book. The complexity of these people were so intriguing. We met Darren in book one, but did not see too much of Luisa. In that book, she was just the wife who cheated and became pregnant with her lover’s child. Darren was the “victim”. In this book you learn just what brought her to it, and the guilt she has lived with ever since.

This is a book about the darker side of relationships. Everything is not always sunshine and roses. In my opinion, it can be read as a stand alone, but you would probably see things better reading book one first. If you don’t mind your stories a bitter darker, this book is for you.

This second book in this series is an amazing continuation of this series. I loved the first book with all of my heart (pun intended) and soul. This book is a dual point of view book. I am not usually a fan of dual POV books, but I feel that this added to this story. You are given the unique opportunity to learn about each character. Their thoughts, passions and hopes, while learning about what they fear, love and dream for.
Darren and Luisa are two characters that you just fall into. They are so easy to love that it this book is effortless. The author has crafted a beautiful story and I have such high hopes for the continuation for book 3.

I’m not quite sure how she does it but this second installment in the series is even more captivating than the first! Fortuné continues to surprise and delight, excelling at her writing craft. One hundred percent echo other reviewers – do not even think about reading this book before reading the first. Spellbinding, heartbreaking, masterful – this story and its alternating POV weave a story so dense and deep you will find yourself getting tired from treading water. I simply cannot wait for book three – although I’m not sure my heart is ready for it.

Pandora’s Poison: Hart and Cole book two by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. If you haven’t read book one Climbing The Walls do it, it’s the beginning of this great series centered on Darren and Luisa. Pandora’s Poison is a great follow up to Climbing the Walls, as everything gets more complicated and all the lies and omissions come out will anyone survive it unscathed. Louisa is lying so much it hard to keep up, Darren doesn’t know what to believe but he knows what he has to do to get the answers. Gianni is more involved in this story along with Kris. There is a lot going on with Pandora’s Poison but it makes the story so good. I can’t wait to read Pandora’s Price.

Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T.Y. Fortune is the second book in the Hart and Cole series. This is a series that really does need to be read in order as the story is a continuation throughout and you would miss far too much detail to start part way through.
This book is as thrilling and complex as the first book. The author takes us further into her characters lives and explores the different facets of marriage. She highlights well the troubles that many people themselves face which is partly why the characters are so relatable. Even if not all of their experience matches yours there is enough that will resonate anyway.
I am definitely looking forward to seeing what book three has to offer!

**Sigh**

Climbing the Walls was absolutely one of my favorite books of 2018 and this…Part 2 I can promise when 2019 ends Pandora’s Poison will be still one of my favorites for the year and I haven’t even gotten to part 3 yet….

This author has a way with her writing and the word that comes to mind first is hypnotizing, mesmerizing…I don’t know how she does it but every word draws me in and I just can not put it down. My first warning to you is…Do not even try picking this book up without first reading Climbing The Walls…It wont work, you don’t have the whole story and won’t be able to form a complete picture of what Darren and Luisa’s story is all about.

I loved this…I loved getting inside Darren and Luisa’s minds, and I’m so thankful this author gave us that opportunity instead of just getting one of them. Everything felt so so real, it isn’t a storybook it is a real life book where no matter what you have experienced in your life you can actually feel the emotions seeping in, and that is what I’ve come to realize with this author, when I pick her books up I need to be prepared to face reality and feel the emotions because that’s what she gives me.

Im completely invested in these people, all of them and can not even predict what is going to happen in Book 3, I have a feeling there will be a couple more POV’s involved and Im praying that some things Im worried about do not happen…I finish these books a complete mess and having books touch me in that way make for some of my favorites to date…I said this after reading Climbing The Walls and my thoughts haven’t changed…I will have this series sitting on my bookshelf and know that I will be reading them over and over again….

I don’t have to say how much I’m looking forward to reading Pandora’s Price even if the title scares me a bit I will be the first in line to open this book.

Pandora's Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2)Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pandora’s Poison is the second book in the enthralling Hart & Cole Series by Sacha T.Y Fortune. After reading the first instalment of this wonderful series, and Ms. Fortune’s brilliant debut novel “Climbing the Walls”- I knew I was hooked and there was no way that I wouldn’t be diving into the other books as soon as I could lay my hands on them. I cannot begin to describe the story in a way that will do it the justice is deserves or without giving away spoilers. But, I really recommend going into the series ‘blind’ and letting the author and story blow you away.
From the beautiful covers, to the multidimensional characters, intricate storyline, and brilliant detailing- this book ticks all the boxes. It is such a realistic and relatable woman’s fiction story that takes us on a journey through the inner workings- love, obstacles, insecurities, trust, forgiveness, doubts, pressures, infidelity, passion, and pain- that go into making a relationship/marriage work.
This is the second instalment, so I really recommend reading the first book before beginning on this one, because the story continues from one book to the next, as well as character introductions, pertinent details, and backstory- which are laid out in the first book.
There are intense moments, dramatic details, touching scenes, passionate encounters, believable dialogue, with complex and interesting characters who easily draw you into their story and into the rollercoaster ride that is their relationship/s. It was intriguing, emotive and incredibly well written. Can’t wait for book #3 to find out what happens!

Thank you, Ms. Fortune!

Darren forgave his wife – or tried to – years ago, but surviving the affair… even raising her lover’s child as his own… is an entirely different concept than actually having to deal with the man pushing his way back into their lives to seek his rightful place with the daughter he never knew…

…If that really is all that Gianni wants…

Luisa felt it the moment she finally met the formidable Nicole – the woman who had always crawled under her skin, long before she herself developed a dangerous attraction for a less complicated man than the granite bastard she married.

But, as this beautiful man once told her: there is always a choice…

Told from both points of view, “Pandora’s Poison” explores the forces that tear a marriage apart – infidelity, insecurity, and doubt… and brings to the fore the question faced in one’s darkest hour: Can you trust yourself?

Book 2 ends at Darren’s & Luisa’s turning point, and the rest of their story will be revealed in Book 3 “Pandora’s Price” (coming March 31, 2019).

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné is the first book in the Hart & Cole series. The story is told in alternating point of views to tell the story of Kris and Nicole. Nicole is a hardworking married mother. She is stubborn and has a bit of a streak. She struggles with how to make all her parts of her life work together while keeping her head straight. This is an interesting read concerning the highs and lows of marriage. I like the struggles and the emotion that is used in the book. The realism is what helps make the story so good. I overall liked the characters but sometimes wondered about Nicole. She tended to get on my nerves at points. This was good at times because it made her more human.

Its been days since I read this book and everytime I thought I had what I wanted to say staright in my head, it just didnt seem to do this book justice.
I loved the premise of this book, and the way it was written was unlike anything ive read before.
We all know relationships are hard work, add kids in the mix and busy work lives and you somehow put important things on the back burner when before they’d take top priority. Well that’s our main character Nicole. A busy mom with two jobs, a demanding boss that doesn’t care about office hours and shes willing to do whatever necessary.
Kris her husband, hes made to be superdad and for all he does and picking up for Nicole’s forgetfulness, he kind of is.
The whole story, which is written in a diary type form, you can feel the stage being set for something big and let me tell you I did not expect what happened to who, at all.

This is a must read. While long, I didn’t skim or skip, it was that important to read it all. I’m chomping at the bit to read what’s next.

Climbing The Walls is the first book in Sacha T.Y. Fortune’s Hart & Cole series. It is my first encounter with the writer and if I am not mistaken, it is her debut book and if that is the case then be prepared for some greatness coming our way in future! She warns us that we should read the stories in the order they are published for the optimal enjoyment as they are linked and we meet the same characters in all of them, just that the focus is on different ones in each of them.
Climbing The Walls is the story of Nicole and Kristopher. Their story is of raw emotions and the baggage that both of them bring along into their marriage. As the story is told alternatingly from both of their point of view then at no point do one need to wonder how and what anyone is feeling! It also shows us how we interpret people and situations through the lenses of our past. The story is gripping and keeps you hooked until you come to the end! It is the story of a marriage and parenting and relationships and … The writer has filled the story with love and heartache, hope, fear, passion, regret, desperation … and even though there is no real cliffhanger, you find out whose the next book is about and you know that you need to pick up a copy when it gets published!

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné

Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortune is the first book in the Hart and Cole series. This book really delves into the complexities that is married life. It highlights that, no matter how much we might want to, sometimes we just can be perfect at everything. Sometimes we need to accept the way things actually are.
This book has introduced me to an entirely new author and what a way to be introduced it was. This book had everything. It had passion and romance as well as angst and nail biting moments. It is a detailed and interesting book. The author never lets the story rest for too long before she is moving it on and developing the characters.
I enjoyed how I didn’t always like one of the main characters as well. For me that is exactly how it can be in “real life” and it was great to see that reflected well in a book. It really helped me to connect with them.
This was a fantastic way to discover a new author and I am looking forward to the rest of this series.

What an emotional rollercoaster! This novel hooked me in and I could not stop reading the drama unfolding between Nicole and Kris. I really felt that their struggles allowed their relationship to grow and for their characters to personally grow as well. I definitely was not a fan of Nicole at first but as the story progressed she grew on me. She became my favorite character. I also loved Khai and Nikki. They were precious and I hated seeing them hurt with some of the drama that unfolds in this book. This book was definitely something different for me. I haven’t ever read something that focused so much on the aspects of a couples crazy marriage. Great read!

No one said motherhood or marriage would be easy. But the high-powered job didn’t quite factor into the equation, nor did the attractive boss in dire need of a friendly shoulder to cry on…

CLIMBING THE WALLS

Kris fell, head over heels over hormones, for the damaged b*tch who became his power-woman sex-goddess wife.

All Nicole wants is to be a better mother, and a wife more worthy of the husband she loves with every fibre of her body, but she is constantly yanked away by her job and her overbearing boss Darren Hart.

But Darren has marital problems of his own – and, when he confides in her, Nicole realises just how easily a happy marriage can crumble.

…Can she keep her own from doing the same?

Told from both points of view, “Climbing The Walls” explores the fibres that hold a marriage together – love, trust, forgiveness… and of course, the earth-shattering sex that will not be denied.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné – Review by Robin Rankin

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Climbing the Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné is the first book Hart & Cole Series. This book had a lot happen in it, and the author did not skimp on any of the details. It was a lot longer than I would have expected it to be since the time period in the story itself covered such a short time.

Where do I start? Kris is an amazing father, his daughter and son are his life, especially his little girl and it is obvious from the very beginning. He’s also a great husband, not perfect but a lot of women would love to have a partner who did even a quarter of what he does, this woman included. All of this after having a less than stable household as a kid.

The description of Nicole in the synopsis was dead on. I did not want to like her at all. But as we got deeper into the story and learned about her and her life, things clicked for me and I actually could relate to some of the things.

There are two paths you can take as a parent, be like your parents or not like your parents, sometimes you pick the path subconsciously.

The kids are amazing, and I think I fell a little in love with both of them. But as the mom of two daughters I think Nikita grabbed just a bit more of my heart.

Amazing read, but not one you can bang out in a few hours.

Climbing the Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune – Review by Erica Fish

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“‘Climbing The Wall’ explores the fibres that hold a marriage together – love, trust, forgiveness… and of course, the earth-shattering sex that will not be denied.” Sacha T.Y. Fortune

Climbing the Walls by Sacha T.Y. Fortune is her debut book. This story is a woman’s fiction story which deals with marriage and self-awareness, and everything in between. Sacha T.Y. Fortune did an amazing job with her characters in the story. The emotional roller coaster that you ride from Ms. Fortune with the character of Nicole keeps you turning the pages to see what else Nicole will have to overcome. This is what kept me reading. You will have to read to see how Nicole deals with her life. Make sure you have Kleenex and adequate time to read in one sitting. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next chapter.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné – Review by Sara Oxton

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Climbing the Walls by Sacha T.Y. Fortune a four-star read you will need to get over. This is the first novel in the Hart and Cole series and I ant wait for the rest. I think the best thing about this was showing us how hard married life can be, usually all you get to see in this type of book is the run up and then the wedding, all show and romance, not the day to day drudgery that we face in married life. Don’t get me wrong its not all doom and gloom, there is some good times as well and that’s what I liked about this, we see both sides of the relationship and how each decision affects people. That being said there is some love and passion that will burn your fingers, but there is a passion as well that you will love.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune – Review by Tausha Treadway

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Climbing The Walls ( Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. This book was very good. It was told by the husband and wife’s perspectives which I loved. Its the story of Kris a loving husband and father who wants nothing more than a happily ever after with Nicole. Nicole is a power hungry business woman and sex fiend. Throw in her crazy boss Darren and his marriage that’s falling apart and you get a big fat mess. Nicole loves her kids and Kris and she wants nothing more than to be a great mom and even better wife but she’s so driven by her work she can’t seem to control herself. Darren uses that to his advantage. Nicole needs to decide if she can help Darren and keep her job all without getting a divorce of her own. This is a fast paced read, once you start you won’t put it down. I really enjoyed it.

Climbing the Walls (Hart & Cole, #1) by Sacha T.Y. Fotuné – Review by Erin Wolf

)Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné, 4 stars.

Nicole is a sexy, self professed b*tch who who puts all her time into her job. This doesn’t leave much time for her kids or her husband, Kris. Sure Kris is high up the food chain at his own, but he finds time for his kids. He knows his wife is driven by her jobs, but it’s always been like that. Not to mention Nicole is drop-down gorgeous and amazing in bed. But can it last like this?

This book is about two damaged people in a marriage, who love each other but still have issues. It is quite a long book and quite detailed. I admit, this couple drove me quite crazy for a bit. But that is the point. I never read a book like this before. It is definitely not something I will forget any time soon. There is so much going on and it feels so real. These are not two people that have little issues, then all is magically well by then end of the book. They fight, they love, they struggle. They love each other immensely. Add in a very intelligent toddler. This is a book that will stay with you.

If you like a book that is real and not some glossy love story, this book is for you.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné – review by Maura Harper

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What an epic drama this story is. From the first page to the last, this story is full of emotion and life. CLIMBING THE WALLS at times was too realistic and I found myself with deep sadness that I had to explore when I was done reading.

The precocious daughter brought an unexpected later to the story that made me smile every time she opened her mouth.

While the time framework takes place in a short amount of time it is chock full of events that can change the course of a life.

The author is very detailed in the writing and at times I found may skipping though some of it to find out what happens next.

It was an enjoyable read that is a departure from my”normal” one sit reads.
