Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Climbing The Walls is one of those books I wouldn’t suggest starting if you have things that you need to do because it will LITERALLY consume you. There is no such thing as stopping at the end of a chapter and you’ll pick it up later. I promise you’ll keep on reading through! This book had everything in it from steamy scenes, humor and heart!

Nicole was an interesting character and I think one that we can really relate to. She is a perfectionist. She wants to do everything (job, motherhood, being a wife) with the utmost perfection but unfortunately she is awful at balancing it all. She made that really relatable as we all try to be everything to everyone and sometimes (maybe most) its difficult to obtain.

Kris is her husband and I loved him. He dotes on her and the kids but carries a lot of self doubt and has issues with communication but the love is there.

I won’t lie, a little bit of me is dying inside as I wait for the next book which I have no doubt will consume me just as much as this one has!

Climbing the Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)
By Sacha T.Y. Fortune

Climbing the Walls is book one in the Hart and Cole series. I have to admit since I enjoyed this book, I did do a search for any other books by this author and found nothing. So, I am assuming this is Sacha’s debut book. If this is the case, then I would say we are in for an awesome series. Also make sure you have plenty of time to read Climbing the Walls as you are not going to want to put it once you have started. If you are like me this book is likely to take you on an emotional roller coaster of a ride, but a ride you are going to love, trust me. Personally, I think you are going to absolutely love the main characters, they have their own strengths, but they also have their own flaws as well. So, all I can say is grab this book and have a read, I promise you will not be disappointed. Well done Sacha a brilliant start to the series.

Climbing the walls: Hart and Cole book one written by Sacha Fortune. This was a different read for me it starts out slow with stuff going on to get you wondering which direction the story will take and you make guesses. But your not prepared for the direction it actually takes. There is a lot of emotions going on in this story, from love to jealousy to sadness and everything in between. Nicole I’m not a big fan of as a character though she was the perfect character for the story. Kris I had mixed feeling with I feel like he was a bit of a pushover until he was pushed too far and even then he was pretty soft about his actions. Overall I enjoyed the story and the ride it took me on.

This book from Fortuné is an emotional rollercoaster in the best possible way. It treats its characters and relationships in a very realistic way. The author kept me engaged and kept me guessing as to how everything would resolve. The plot is solid, the pacing is steady, and the characters are realistic and relatable. Overall, a very good book and one I will gladly recommend to others.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great read about married life. Kris and Nicole are happily married with a kid. But Nicole works hard and is always kept busy by her boss Darren. Can they keep in married bliss or will work life drive them apart?
A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Nicole working hard to achieve her dreams or Kris trying to be a good father or Nikita as a sweet little kid curious about the world. I loved the novels exploration of the ups and downs of married life which was fun to read. I also loved the use of small space settings in the house and office which was brilliant for every day life and also to increase tensions between Kris and Nicole in a confined space. The flashbacks worked well with the plot but were often abrupt to the narrative of the present.
The only issue I would raise is that there were too many long sentences that made it difficult to read which could be resolved with a variety of sentence lengths. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Climbing the Walls is book one in the Hart and Cole series by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné. New author for me, so I was instantly intrigued. First impression of Nicole is that she is a master manipulator, and will go to great lengths to get her way. She wants her way and she wants it’s now!! She is a passive aggressive character, one who maneuvers Kris to do her bidding and uses any means necessary. I grew to adore her and wanting to be her. Despite feeling frustrated at times, this story is incredibly well written. It is blatantly evident in the artestry with words, the effort, the emotion and soul that went into each character, building the foundations for a mindblowing series.

Kris and Nicole struggled with the trials of marriage, family and careers. Things were said in the heat of the moment, things were left unsaid. I was an honest and insightful look into a modern marriage, where they try to have it all and the battle to maintain the normal. The author masterfully and tastefully painted a picture of reality, intensity, attraction, and so much more. Many elements made up this tale, coming together maybe not perfectly, but beautifully. Kris was endearing and made my heart sing. Every time I thought of him my heart would race, as he was charisma personified. He just appealed to me on a superior level. Climbing the Walls was brilliant and a book that leaves a memorable impression. 5 stars.

5 OMG, deserves so many more Stars
***********************
I finished this masterpiece yesterday evening, I read the whole book yesterday, I just couldn’t stop, I needed to stop to do normal everyday life things but ended up not doing the laundry that needed to be done and having to explain to the hubby that dinner was whatever he found in the fridge because I was a total and complete wreck during this book and for about an hour afterwards. So now here I sit trying to figure out a way to put down in words just what I thought of this story!

When I first decided to read it it was the cover that drew me in, then it was the reviews that were already coming in, then it was the words this author so brilliantly wove together…I can honestly and truthfully with no doubts say that I’ve got many favorites for this year so far but this one went right to the top of that list in record speed. I was scared when I saw how long the book was and normally I would end up doing some skimming but that did not happen, I savored every single word, every single emotion, every single thought and action that took place within the pages of this story. There were parts I didn’t like but those parts made up the whole of the book and without them it wouldn’t have felt as real.

There is no way to sum up this story because it would be like summing up everyday life and that’s just not possible…This author took me on a journey through real life and everything that comes with that. I am just in awe at how perfectly everything just worked and I truly felt every single word..My heart hurt, I smiled, I got so angry I wanted to hit something, I cried and I forgave things I never thought I would, I have become completely and totally emotionally invested in these people..All of them and I want more, I can not wait for the next part.

This is one of those stories that having it sit on your kindle is just not enough, I will wait for the series to end and have the entire collection on my bookshelf where my all time favorites live.

Phenomenal!! Brilliant!!

Climbing The Walls Book 1 Hart & Cole Series by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné

My jaw was on the floor while reading this story. It was like watching a reality tv show. Kris and Nicole have been together for what seems like forever. They have two beautiful kids. It seems that they have hit a block in their relationship and are trying to find a way to fix it. Marriage is a struggle and the only way to make it is to do it together. If no one is giving or trying to change than what’s the point? Nicole works a lot and it is taking it’s toll on he marriage and her kids. Most people don’t think kids notice or are affected by absent parents. But it definitely does and it shows in unexpected was. I really like this story and am ready for book two. These couples have so much going on and so much to work through. My heart went out to Darren and I hope a solution comes in book two. The author did a great job with the characters. It started off slow but picked up in the middle of the story. You really feel the shift in the book once things start to happen.

Climbing the Walls, Hart and Cole Book 1 by Sacha T.Y. Fortune
5 out 5 stars

Let me preface this by saying that I rarely give out 5 stars. Anyone who know me, and knows how many books I read can attest to this, however, this book was masterful. What starts off as a slow burn, quickly heats up and then sends you on one emotional roller coaster that has you holding on for dear life and when it is all said and done, you are begging for more. I am not typically a fan of first person viewpoint writing but for this book, it works very well. The author managed to created two individual people within the story and tell a first person view from each of them and they did not get lost in each other, nor did one overpower the other.

This book offers a unique view on what the outside world misses for most marriage, couples, unions, motherhood, and even everyday life. I loved this book. I was very surprised by this book but pleasantly so. I cannot wait for book 2.

This was a fantastic read and one that I couldn’t put down at all. The author wrote this book in such a way that I honestly felt I was a part of Kris and Nicole’s story. I could feel everything that they did, all the raw emotion that they felt towards each other. I think she depicted some aspects of some marriages really well and it felt like I was reading a real story at times. I really liked Kris, I thought that he was such a loving husband and there were times I really felt for him, Nicole was a character I did struggle to connect with at times. There were some good unpredictable twists in the story that I certainly didn’t see coming or expect at all!
Climbing The Walls is the author’s debut novel and I definitely think that she should be very proud of it. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series and reading more about the characters.

I am so thrilled that I picked up this gem over the weekend! I was in desperate need of something to shake off a bad book hangover I was having. I had just read and finished a great novel and I had a whole evening ahead of me and nothing was working out for me on my kindle. (Not that I don’t have a million TBR LOL) Then… ‘Climbing the Walls’ fell into my hands and I consumed it in one sitting! (Well past 3 AM) I adored it! Sacha TY Fortune was a new author to me as well, so even more outstanding for an introduction to a new author!

This one has it all. Some angst, hot steamy love, laughter, drama, a magnitude of emotions, and so much more. I loved how it was one of those novels you felt like you were right there and witnessing these lives of the main characters happening. They become real to you and you become invested in them.

Our MC’s in this one are Kris and Nicole Gellar. Niccole, Nicole, Nicole… I had a love hate relationship with her. I admired her ability to embrace her b#tc*y self. We all have our moments as women. I could connect with some of hers. Sometimes it got to be a bit much though. She wants to be the best at everything; her job, motherhood, being a wife. She just has a terrible way of balancing everything. She wants to be the best at everything; her job, motherhood, being a wife. She just has a terrible way of balancing everything. Her boss at work’s personal life is starting to crumble and that is giving her a new perspective on things. Can it help her marriage?

Kris is her adoring husband, I liked him pretty much throughout the book. He loves his family, and it shows in everything he does. He has a lot of self-doubt though. And lacks in the communication department. Their two children are adorable too, especially the daughter. She reminded me of my kiddo, too smart for her age. I can’t wait for the next book!

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Climbing The Walls was a page turning 5 star read and the first book in the Hart & Cole series.
Once I started I didn’t want to stop.

We get alternating POV between Kris and Nicole who have been married for about eight years. Nicole is a workaholic that doesn’t have much of a relationship with her children. Kris loves Nicole despite how certain people feel about her in his life. They make it work and have two beautiful children. I love their kids they pulled me right in and tugged at my heart strings.

When Nicole’s boss starts having marital problems, things start to shift for Nicole and Kris as well. Are they as happy as they portray to their friends and family? There is so much more to this emotional rollercoaster of a read. There is so much going on that it causes questions to come up and not so great assumptions at times. There was a huge unexpected and disappointing twist. I didn’t see it coming and it left me shattered. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story, some I liked some I didn’t.

Sacha T. Y. Fortuné does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. There isn’t a cliffhanger but I didn’t feel like it ended in a good place for me. I’m hoping to see more from these two and get some answers. I can’t wait to start book two in the series.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Climbing the Walls is the first book in the Hart and Cole Series by Sacha T.Y Fortune. This story also appears to be Ms. Fortunes debut novel and I look forward to following her work. This book is a realistic and relatable woman’s fiction story that looks at what it takes to make a marriage work, all the highs and lows that come with that; while balancing the responsibility, expectation, and pressures of motherhood. The story has intense moments, dramatic details, touching scenes, believable dialogue, and interesting characters who draw you into their story, giving a front row seat to the ‘show’ that is their rollercoaster relationship. It was intriguing, emotive and well written. Bring on Book #2!

Thank you, Ms. Fortune!

I enjoyed this story and found it to be easy flowing and engaging. This is my first book by this author and I can’t wait for the second book in this series. It took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that left me feeling compassion. This is a story about marriage and the struggles that go along with it. Will marriages survive or will they fall apart? The characters bring life to the story and made me feel as if I was right there with them. I highly recommend reading their story.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)
By: Sacha T.Y. Fortune’
5 out of 5 stars

The story Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune’ is a contemporary fiction book. It is one that I enjoyed reading. I found myself hooked on the story from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put the book down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Kris and Nicole. Kris is a man who works for an ad firm. He is someone who is caring, responsible, and sometimes tends to let a lot of things land on his shoulders. He knows that Nicole is a beautiful woman and sometimes wonders how he came to end up with her. Nicole is a journalist and part-time writer. She wants to become a better mother, however, she is a workaholic. Many times, jumping at the sound of her boss’s voice at a moments notice. The relationship that Kris and Nicole have is one that has raw emotions coming to the forefront. My emotions were going up and down the entire time that I was reading about them. Communication is the way that makes a marriage/relationship a smooth one. Unhealthy cycles of behavior and words left unsaid can cause problems. Kris and Nicole have times when they are bantering back and forth while there are other times when there is silence between them. What does the future hold for Nicole and Kris? Will they find the happiness that sometimes is absent, or will they find themselves “climbing the walls?” Will Nicole keep her marriage from crumbling? Read this book to find out. There are other additional characters that are introduced in this story that I enjoyed reading about their part in the story and their interactions with Nicole and Kris. This is a well-written story that I would recommend reading.

Kris fell, head over heels over hormones, for the damaged b*tch who became his power-woman sex-goddess wife.

All Nicole wants is to be a better mother, and a wife more worthy of the husband she loves with every fibre of her body, but she is constantly yanked away by her job and her overbearing boss Darren Hart.

But Darren has marital problems of his own – and, when he confides in her, Nicole realises just how easily a happy marriage can crumble.

…Can she keep her own from doing the same?

Told from both points of view, “Climbing The Walls” explores the fibres that hold a marriage together – love, trust, forgiveness… and of course, the earth-shattering sex that will not be denied.
