Courage of Us (Code of Honor Book 1)Courage of Us by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Courage of Us by Brooke May a beautifully broken five-star read. This is number one in the code of honor series, and I can’t wait for more, this is a different style to what I have come to love from this author, but it was still well done and just lovely. You will feel for the characters, you will want to help them and on occasion shake them. But that’s what I adore about this author, she makes you believe in the characters, and has great chemistry and pace of the story, it flows nicely and makes it such an easy read. Do not miss this start to what I am sure will be a great series.

Walker Pride (The Walker Family, #1)Walker Pride by Bernadette Marie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Walker Pride by Bernadette Marie a fantastic five-star read. Eric is a strong and sublime character; he keeps this story on track and adds a quiet strength to it. This story has drama, passion and history. There is plenty going on and the story flows so well, Susan adds something to the story as well, a soft strength. She has some great moments and brings this story to brightness that shines through.

THE DEVOTED FANTHE DEVOTED FAN by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Devoted Fan by Pamela DuMond a fabulous five-star read. This is the fifth and final story in the 21st Century Courtesan series and its best to read them all in order as they do tell a great story and this ending is just great. I don’t want to give anything away as this while series has kept me on my toes, as the ending will just not allow you to settle, it too keeps you hooked. This has been a great series and I am sorry its over, but what a story.

Elusive (Billionaire Bodyguards #5)Elusive by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elusive by Via Mari an explosive five-star read. This is number five in the Billionaire Bodyguard series and they have all been a pleasure to read. Alexi and Sheldon will keep you on your toes, Alexi in particular warmed me, she just wants to help and do what’s right. There is drama, there is passion and there is action, in this one and it will keep you on your toes all the way through. As always the writing is top notch and tells a great story.

My Lips Are Sealed (Sealed With a Kiss Book 1) by Carmen Richter – Review by Sara Oxton

My Lips Are Sealed (Sealed With a Kiss #1)My Lips Are Sealed by Carmen Richter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My Lips are Sealed by Carmen Richter a fraught four-star read. This is number one in the Sealed with a Kiss series, and I am eager for number two to find out what happens next. I know some people will have issues with the ages of the characters and the fact that Zoe is as young as she is, but she is also mature for her age and reminded me a lot of myself at that age, I moved away to a different part of the country alone when I was only a few months older, so I think I had a perspective many wouldn’t about maturity at that age. The thing that blew me away with this story was how the author managed to keep you on your toes the whole story, it’s a long story and the pace and drama just kept going from strength to strength and leaving you needing to know more. This is a compelling story, and I would have loved to give it five-stars, but it was let down in a couple of places. I have to admit though I have very high hopes for the next part of the story.

Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery (Dangerous Curves Book 1)Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Betrayal at the Beach by K.L. Montgomery a thrill of a five-star read. This has it all, a great story, librarians, and a mystery thrown in for good measure. I adore this author and all of the hats they wear; I enjoy how each story has its own details, there isn’t a scene that doesn’t fit, just because it may be what they are known for, it adds more power to each story. I started this one after being on a massive reading binge and was expecting that my great reading would start to slow, but this just added more excitement to my reading, it kept me guessing and just added to my love of reading overall. I am always excited to see a librarian as a character in a story and this gave me joy in spades.

Apocalypse NOPE!!Apocalypse NOPE!! by Deidre Huesmann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Apocalypse Nope!! by Deidre Huesmann a five-star ride of a read. This wasn’t what I was expecting, but to be honest I didn’t know what to expect, but this made me smile so much, Ivy-Jean is relatable, I understood why she doubted herself and haven’t we all felt like that as a teenager. But it’s the four Horsepeople that really bring the story to life, they add something special to the story. This is creative, original, well written and just an overall great read.

Seductive Prey (Relentless #1)Seductive Prey by Vivian Fiano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Seductive Prey by Vivian Fiano a thrilling five-star read. This is the first story in the Relentless series, and I am so eager for the next story in the series, as my goodness what will come next. This story had me gripped, every page I just kept turning it quicker and quicker needing to know what was going to happen next, when it was over, I had to sit and have a drink as I didn’t think I could do anything, I was limp. This gripped me so much, I don’t want to give any part of the story away as its just so well done, there is chemistry and passion, and drama and just simply well written plots. The characters are so well done that you can really see them as the story unfolds you know what is going to happen and how they are going to react, but you are still kept guessing, its brilliantly done.

RelentlessRelentless by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Relentless by Via Mari a four-star read that won’t allow you to give up. This is number four in the Billionaire Bodyguard series and its best to read them in order to get the most out of the series, as they do build and develop the characters and the overall stories, they could be read as stand-alone as they do focus on a main couple, but I have loved them as a series. This author brings something fresh to each story they write, there is some amazing banter in this one, and Layla kept me on my toes, it was so nice to finally get under Dereks skin, get his story and the sizzling chemistry he creates.

Date NightDate Night by K.M. Lowe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Date Night by K.M. Lowe a four-star read that will keep you warm at night. This was a good story, but I have read others by this author and they were better. I adored the characters, they kept me reading, as they didn’t have the best story to keep me hooked, but themselves were funny and had great timing. More detail would have made this a better overall story, but I am picky, I like getting to know where the characters are as much as themselves. If you want snarky and romantic without being flowery then pick this story up.

HUSBAND (21st Century Courtesan Book 4)HUSBAND by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Husband by P.S. DuMond a sparkling four-star read. This is number four in the 21st century Courtesan series and in my opinion its best to read them in order, as they do build and weave into a complex drama that adds to the story and anticipation allowing them both to build. Evie will pull you into her story, she will make you feel her pain, and understand why she is the person she is, overall it’s a very good story, there were just a couple of moments that left me cold and left me wanting.

Love by Design (The Meraki Series Book 2)Love by Design by Effie Kammenou
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love by Design by Effie Kammenou a five-star read that will simply make you fall in love. This is number two in the Meraki series and they could be read as stand-alone, as they compliment each other and tell the deeper family story, but don’t spoil. But having said that I did read them as a series, and I whole heartedly plan on reading the third instalment as soon as I am able. This author has a way of bringing the places the characters visit alive, its so much more than a romance between two great characters. This is a deeper story one filled with history, passion and sadness, each character has faced their own darkness and the fight each day, but when you have the strength of Yiayia in your circle, well then you have the strength of the world. This was simply a divine story that will make you fall in love with travel, magazines and love itself.

Sure As Hell (Life is Hell #4)Sure As Hell by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sure as Hell by Naomi Valkyrie a sure-fire five-star read. This is number four in the Life is Hell series and they all build supremely, you get to know everyone and see them struggle and dip, but you get to see the gain strength in themselves again as well, it’s very well done, you connect so well with the characters, you feel their self-doubt like your own. This series has had such an individual grip, it feels fresh and gripping even four books in. Lark and Jaru have a story to tell, and you can not miss this story, or series they each have a different part of the whole and it’s something that shouldn’t be missed.

Key West Dead (Jake Wolfe Book 6) by Mark Nolan – Review by Sara Oxton

Key West DeadKey West Dead by Mark Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Key West Dead by Mark Nolan a fantastic five-star read. This is number six in the Jake Wolfe series and they could be read as stand-alone but honestly, I would say read them in order as you get the best out of them, you get to know the characters like Jake and Brody who is simply the star of the show to me. The suspense in this story is so tight it will keep you on the ledge, but the suspense isn’t the only part of the story. There is romance and drama and even some funny moments as well, they all make this a compelling and well plotted story. The thing that always strikes my from this author, is the attention to detail, usually when I read about something I know I get put off as they always get something wrong, but this author must spend so long doing research or simply writing what they know, as the detail is so well done.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In Plain Sight by Ashley A Quinn a fantastic four-star read. This is number three in the Broken Bow series, but you don’t need to have read them all previously I have only read number two and didn’t feel lost, as each one focuses on a different couple its easy to keep up with it all. This story is so much more than it first appears, you have the second chance romance between Rayna and Thomas, and they have some supreme chemistry. There is also an underlying drama and suspense that will snag you and keep you hooked, with a darkness that just edges into the story.

In over her head by Krysten Lindsay Hager a sweet as sugar four-star read. This is number two in the Cecily Taylor series and I love the first and enjoyed this one just as much. It was nice reading this, it takes me back to being a teenager and remembering first love and all of the complications that go with it. It also makes me so glad I am not a teenager any more as I couldn’t deal with the hassle of social media mixed in with hormones and drama.

Twisted Throttle by Manda Mellett a five-star read that will twist you in all the right ways. This is number three in the Satan’s Devils MC second generation series and it can be read as stand-alone, but I have read them all and love the world building, the little hints you pick up on and the backstories. Throttle was not what I was expecting, I really didn’t like him at first but soon I started to change my tune. Gwen was such a strong character, and this story will hook you. I really enjoyed the spin of the story; it wasn’t the way you normally see it and that was so well done. As always great writing from this author and I am so excited to see where we will go next.

This is number one in the Soul Connection series and well I am so eager for the rest, I have read this author previously but not this genre and well it is done so well. This has it all, its very easy to read, and the multiple POV keeps the story fresh, and keeps you hooked and reading. The whole story will enrapture you, and keep you guessing all the way through. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Electric Temptation by Toya Richardson a thrilling four-star read. This is number five in the Protectors series, and its best to read them in order as they do read best that way. Delilah and Mason will leave you breathless, they have a second chance, but will they get chance to get it. This has magical chemistry and just a great magic overall. Take a journey with Delilah and you won’t be disappointed. I really enjoyed how the story pulled together, I gave it four-stars as it seemed to jump a couple of times, and that detracted from the story. I am sure that it will not bother many, but it did me. I will say this series is just keeps its strength up all the way.

Loyalty and Lies by Phoebe Alexander an adventure of a five-star read. This is number six in the Spicetopia series you don’t need to have read the others first as each novel focuses on a different couple at the adult resort. I met Calvin and Paisley previously as I have read and adored The Catch, but I wouldn’t have missed anything if I hadn’t, for me it was like catching up with old friends, finding the gossip and spice that is their life. It was so nice watching them together, growing together as their family grows.

Love between the lines by A.D. Brazeau a fun and fabulous five-star read. This was my first read by this author, but I hope it won’t be the last, as I so enjoyed the interactions between Marlowe, Lucy and Iris, they made this so much more of a story that the plot between Marlowe and Heath, although that was a great plot and not what you would imagine, there really was something there. This was a great story and has so much push and pull and Bryanna and Damien both have fierce protective instincts, and that can sometimes lead to explosive action. There is some great chemistry in this one, and some great thought put into the worries of the characters, they feel deep and complex and add something to the story.

Hacker a suspenseful four-star read. This is number two in the Mercenaries series, I haven’t read number one but didn’t feel like I was missing anything from the previous story. This had action a plenty and drama was definitely a foot, there was some romance and sizzle, but it wasn’t the be all and end all. Fast paced through this story and has enough characters that you are kept interested but not enough that you get lost. Marie and Hacker will make you care and want to know more about them.

Can Dreams Come True? (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 1)Can Dreams Come True? by Krysten Lindsay Hager
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Can Dreams Come True by Krysten Lindsay Hager a fair four-star read. This is number one in the Cecily Taylor series and Cecily herself is a fun character to get to know, she was the perfect palate cleanser after the story I read previous to this one, as that was angst ridden and this was so the opposite, just a nice warm romance with some funny drama moments that swept the story along. Its full of teenage angst and reminds you of being that age, and how every moment swept you up and what I wouldn’t do for my teenage heartthrob to pick me. I am excited to find out what will happen next with Cecily and Andrew and not the other one.

This was my first read by this author and its also the first story in the Breabeach Rock romance series and well it has simply left me wanting more, so much more. Ash and Calla will sweep you away, they have such passion for each other, but that passion is strong for more than just each other. What do you do when you love someone so much, you would allow them their wings to fly and follow their passions, would you be able to do it? This story will push so many emotional buttons, its well plotted and well written and even though the main characters are young, they are mature beyond their years. Do not miss this great author.

Learning to Live: An Enemy to Lovers Ugly Cry (The Infinite Love Series Book One) by Kira Adams – Review by Sara Oxton

Learning to Live: An Enemy to Lovers Ugly Cry (The Infinite Love Series, Book 1)Learning to Live: An Enemy to Lovers Ugly Cry by Kira Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Learning to Live by Kira Adams a must read five-star read. This is number one in the infinite love series and I need number two now, this one had me sobbing in the toilets at work, I had tried to sneak a few pages in at lunch time, just as the ball was dropped and well, even though I knew it was coming, there was just something that made that one scene just so much more powerful, the drugs will put lots off as not everyone agrees but everyone should have the choice, and if you don’t you need to read this story. I am not going to lie, I hated Topher at first, him and all of the A-Team, they all just made me want to get violent, but he did get there and that was all Ciera, she was a compelling character, and one I wished we heard more from, her love for her family and life was sublime, she just kept barrelling through whatever terrible thing was thrown at her and that takes strength not many possess. I am so desperate for number two, but I honestly don’t know if I am strong enough, maybe I should steal some of Ciera’s strength.

This is number three in the Cosy Mystery to die for series, they don’t need to be read in order as they each focus on a different main event, and story, but they are all amazing Beck O’Rourke is such a great character, she is relatable, funny and just one of the characters that will suck you into this story and keep you hooked all the way through. Third Times a Ghost by Carrie Pulkinen a five-star read that makes a show of it. This is the third story in the Haunted ever after series but they could all be read as stand alone, they each focus on different main characters but follow a theme and previous characters do pop up now and again. Second Chance a Spirit by Carrie Pulkinen a spooky five-star read. This is number two in the Haunted Ever After series, they could be read as standalone, as they do focus on different main characters, but have a running theme and characters who pop up in each other’s stories, but easily read on its own. This as always was funny and spooky with some drama thrown in for good measure. Tina and Trent are well done, they used to date but not anymore, but when Trent needs her, she comes to help. The chemistry is sparky, almost as much as the house. This is a great story and I cant wait to sink my teeth into number three.
