  1. Broody. That’s the prefect word to describe Stormy. He’s very mistrusting of anyone and his attitude makes him unlikeable. You learn Stormy’ s back story here. While we know he deserted the club, this history of his gives you a peek as to why he did it. Cat is the prefect anecdote for him and their story will rock your socks off!!View all my reviews

I have to say Ms. Mellett had her work cut out for her with this book as I went into this book saying “there’s no way I will ever be able to like Stormy, hes done too much that I can’t forgive” , and yet again this shows the amazing talent she has as an author, because I ate those words by the time I was done.
So like I said going in I wasn’t optimistic, I knew it would be a rough one but something about getting to know someone, the ins and outs and what makes them tick, really opens your heart up and then that person could do anything and be forgiven to some degree (thankfully its all fiction)
I won’t give details. These books have them all, but these Utah chapter members never have a dull moment that’s for sure.

This book was great. This author never disappoints when putting a new book out. I know when I pick one up it will be awesome and this one was no different. It was engaging and had my attention from the very first page. The characters were enjoyable and easy to relate too. I am very much looking forward to reading more by this wonderful author in the future.

Stormy’s Thunder: Satan’s Devils MC Utah Book 2 by Manda Mellett is a bit tough to read in the beginning. Stormy is a character who’s made some big mistakes in the eyes of his SD brothers. Not only the Utah Chapter but some of the others too. But as with many of Ms. Mellett’s books, you get hooked right into the story and take the twists and turns because the book is so good. I love that this book shows us the real Stormy and how lost he really feels. Is it too late for Stormy or will he find help in an unexpected way?

Road Tripped: Satan’s Devils MC Utah Book 1 by Manda Mellett is another great story that takes you for a ride! Road takes a bad fall during a race that changes his life. He’s brooding and angry when Drummer sends him to the Utah chapter to figure out “what doesn’t seem right” to Drummer about the Utah chapter. Road figures out quickly that this are not what he expected and he is pushed to make a choice that may mean he ends up dead. Something comes up that pushes Road to quickly learn what the Utah chapter is working on which changes his view. His new dilemma? Does he keep the information to himself or does he share it with Dummer?
I love everything about this MC chapter. There are parts that came up I never expected. And I’m always excited to see the bonds between all the characters whether they have small parts or larger ones.

Stormy’s Thunder is the second book in this series and while it can be read as a standalone, I suggest that you read book one first. Stormy is the main character in this novel and he has some proving to do. Manda Mellett is a wonderful and imaginative author. She knows exactly how to write an MC novel. When reading any novel by Manda Mellett you get sucked in and can’t put the novel down. This is one of the hallmarks of a wonderful and stunning writer.

Stormy’s Thunder: Satan’s Devils MC Utah #2 by Manda Mellett

Another great read by Mellett. She knows how to keep her readers coming back to her books. Stormy’s Thunder is a great book.

Cat meets Stormy when he’s on the run from the club. She doesn’t know he’s in a club until she sees his tat. The quote I chose for Cat is: “You’re the good guys? But isn’t that like the FBI or something?”

Stormy is a Utah Member of Satan’s Devils and he’s been on the run. He took something from the San Diego Chapter when shooting someone. The quote I chose for Stormy is: “I feel like I’m at a crossroads. I’m a member now, but I don’t know if I want to stay one. I could go back, or forward, and for the life of me, I don’t know which I f**kin’ want.”

Highly recommended for MC Romance lovers.

Road Tripped (Satan’s Devils MC Utah Book 1) by Manda Mellett

The third book I’ve read by Mellett and I’ve got to say her series just keep getting better and better.

Road is heading out to the Utah chapter of Satan’s Devils unannounced. He is there to find some things out. When he gets there things aren’t quite like they seem. The quote I chose for Road is: “I’ve not heard anything from you. I don’t know what makes you tick. I got disrespected on my arrival starting with the prospect, Gears. Have I seen anything I like here? Have I learned sh** about you to be able to say I’d lay down my life for the club ? Like f**k. Right now, I’m feeling the opposite.”

Swift is the only female in the Utah Chapter. They’ve got some things they’d like to keep on the DL. When Road shows up Swift gets more than she bargained for. The quote I chose for Swift is: “If you want someone to partner up with Road to see what he’s made of, then I’m up for it.”

Highly recommended for MC Romance lovers.

Stormy's Thunder (Satan's Devils MC Utah #2)Stormy’s Thunder by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is Stormy’s story, he has messed up again, he left his brothers in a fit of rage and did the unspeakable, he left his cut behind, he just got on his bike and rode away, but when he wakes up the next morning and his head has cleared up some, he decides if he wants to return to his brothers and be accepted back into the fold, he has to for one, take the beatdown, for two, repeat his prospect days for six months, but he also has to bring something back with him, so he decides to tie up the last loose end in a recent rescue and find the woman who booked the AirBNB where the woman was held. That decided, he goes to get some food in a local diner and starts digging, setting up his newly bought laptop and burner phone, he finds the information he needs and sets off on another long ride.

As he is riding, he thinks about his past and how every time he thinks he has got his life sorted out, he messes up and loses everything he has worked for, he thinks about his childhood, how he worked to leave that behind and when he achieved the career he had always dreamed of, he disobeyed someone, someone else got hurt and he took the blame and was kicked out. Then he thought about how he had found another place with the Satan’s Devils MC, but again, going his own way and doing things he wanted to do led to him being punished again and he ran away. He is in a destructive cycle and he can’t see a way out, unless he can tie off this loose end and take the information back to the Club.

Apart from one stop for fuel for both him and the bike, he arrives at the home of the woman in question, it is late at night and it looks like she is in bed, but when he bangs on the door and rings the doorbell and doesn’t get an answer, he looks through the windows on the ground floor and it looks like nobody is home after all. He decides to go inside and take a look around to see if there has been a home invasion and to see if she is indeed in the house or not, but what he finds when he enters the basement is what appears to be a pile of dirty clothes and a wig that looks worse for wear, however, when he realises it is the woman he has come to find, he wastes no time freeing her from her bonds, he doesn’t want the authorities involved, so he can warm her up and look after her, albeit with the ulterior motive of questioning her. When she begins to regain consciousness and answers his questions, he realises that she isn’t connected to the crime in the way he thought, but he decides to stay for a while and look after her anyway.

As the time passes, the two grow closer and a fall into a comfortable routine until a ghost from Stormy’s past come back to haunt him and that ghost has unfinished business, as he is tortured to the point of being half dead, the worst thing that could happen does, she is taken from him, but when he finally escapes, the first thing he does is return to the club he once called home, but with his injuries, will he be able to to get there in time to save his woman, or will he succumb to them and lose her forever? This is a story of troubled pasts and uncertain futures, but the action will keep you hooked as you read through to the end.

OMG what a story, Stormy is a very unlikeable character. But of course, he has the best reasons to be like he is. In a perfect world, he would have reacted differently to his life but what can you do, the world is not perfect, not even in a book.
Mellett has written another story with a character that we love to hate from book 1, a character who turns out to have a very interesting back story. This page turning story leads us to an unlikely meeting between Stormy and Cat.

Smart Cat. “You’re never going to move forward unless you stop looking back.”

There are some references to the other clubs and other characters from book 1 Road Tripped, so this book is best if read in order. The other Chapters have their own series and while you don’t have to read those before this Utah series, you are going to want to read all of Mellett’s series.

Stormy’s Thunder: Satan’s Devils MC Utah by Manda Mellett

My first thought was when are people going to realize you don’t mess with the Satan’s Devils?   I guess it just goes to show how stupid criminals are.

Stormy is a hot mess, but we learn why.  Some of his problems are his own fault,  but not all of them.   I hated Stormy in the previous Utah book but as I learned more about him and his past my feelings changed significantly.   Especially when he was with her.

I love how everyone is connected in this stories no matter how distant that connection is.  We have the other chapters popping up and people being connected to characters in previous stories or connection to one of the Devils.

I enjoyed this book as much, and maybe a bit more because of how complicated Stormy was.  I can’t wait to see who falls next.

Road Tripped is not the first MC book by Mellett that I have had the pleasure of reading. This story has a good story line with an easy-to-read adventure. There are a couple of graphic scenes but since it is an MC story, it is kind of expected.

Road is from the mother chapter in Tucson but there is something going on in Utah. And it’s up to Road to figure it out, report back to Drummer, his prez, and then get on with his life. But what life does he have now that his sport of choice has been taken from him. And when he finds out Utah has more secrets than he can handle, what’s a biker to do? Even though I love Swift doesn’t mean that Road loves what Swift stands for. I love what Swift brings to the Utah Chapter and the Satan’s Devils overall, but can Swift prove that the Utah chapter is above board and not working illegally before Road reports to Drummer or dies trying?

This book is definitely worth the read. Bring on Book 2!

Stormy’s Thunder is the second book in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series by Manda Mellett. I have read most of the Satan’s Devils MC books and I have to say, the Utah club is my favorite so far. I went into this book not particularly liking Stormy, but he really came into his own in this book. The twists and turns really had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The storyline is complex and the characters are well defined. Ms. Mellett gives me a real flavor of how I imagined a real motorcycle club works. Hard men and women all in for their club. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Mellett will have in store for us next.

Then again none of her books have ever let me down, and I highly recommend reading them from the beginning. Stormy was a Navy Seal, until he was not. I personally was not a huge fan of him in the other books but hes slowly growing on me. He is just not a happy person and is about to have troubles that catch up with him. So he needs to fix it and quick, will those who are family help him? This book has romance, suspense and will keep you on your toes. Stormy’s Thunder is book two in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series by Manda Mellett. Story’s story is yet another gripping and emotional story that is enthralling that I was incapable of putting it down. The dialogue was on point and the overall story was edgy and dramatic. All the things I love in a story. Manda Mellet always delivers a tale that has me totally engrossed with my heart beating wildly and a dessert dry mouth. Her characters are real, direct, imperfect, yet they have an uncanny ability to worm their way into your heart even if you don’t particularly like them in the beginning. You cannot help falling for them and their battles/hardship. Their integrity is strong and their devotion, once accepted, is liberating. I always take a little of each characters with me at the end of very story I read. With these characters, I take a lot more with me. I love these men and women. I love this series. I cannot wait for more. 5 stars.

Stormy's Thunder (Satan's Devils MC Utah #2)Stormy’s Thunder by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stormy’s Thunder is the 2nd book in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah Chapter. It is a spin off from the original Satan’s Devils MC Series by Manda Mellett set in Tucson Arizona. I first discovered the Satan’s Devils MC books during the Arizona series and have been an avid fan ever since, devouring all the books.
I was worried about reading Stormy’s story, although I knew that Manda Mellett can do no wring in my eyes. What worried me was that having met Stormy in the previous book I really wondered how on earth Manda Mellett was going to make me fall in love with stormy as I have with all of her other leading men. I mean, he really didn’t do himself any favours in the previous books and became a bit of a villain. In true Manda Mellett style she wove a beautiful, intricate tale, giving us Stormy’s background and showing us how he became the man he was. I have to say that I saw Stormy in a whole new light. He really had been dealt a rubbish hand in life. His story brought out so many emotions in me. I was so angry at the injustices he had previously been dealt with and soon fell in love with the amazing character that he actually was. It just takes the right woman to bring out the best in a man and Cat was definitely the perfect match for Stormy.
I can’t describe just how much I loved this book but it definitely deserves a lot more than the 5 stars I’m allowed to give it.

This is the 2nd book in the Utah chapter of the Satan Devil’s MC. I’ve read several of these books and I have loved everyone of them. They are always full of action, danger and romance and the bond between the brothers is so strong.

In this book we get to see Stormy’s story. After he appeared in a previous book his character is not a very likeable one and I went into this book wanting to hate him.

However going through his life you realise what happened to make him become the man he is today.

After Stormy disappears from the club he returns with a bang. He literally crashes into the club. After being taken to hospital in  coma the rest of the club members try to figure out what happened. Where did Stormy go? Who would want to beat him almost to death? Is it something from his past? Or something to do with the club? There are so many questions and no answers.

Add to this story a love interest for Stormy in the shape of Cat who is a strong, independent woman. Can they work together and build each others trust? Can Stormy keep her safe and in doing so keep himself alive?

After reading Road Tripped, I was intrigued as to what Stormy’s backstory was and what drove him to make the decisions he made. The second book in the Utah Chapter of Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC series, Stormy’s Thunder, promised to tell me more about this complex and mysterious character.
Stormy’s Thunder deviates from the format of the majority of the Satan’s Devils books as much of the story – whole chapters, even – is told through flashbacks. This is very effective. The present day sections of the story set out questions that are answered in the past, only to raise more questions that take us elsewhere in Stormy’s story.
Although many of the Satan’s Devils books work fine as standalones I would really recommend reading Road Tripped before Stormy’s Thunder. The stories are closely linked, with Stormy’s Thunder including retellings of some of the events of the previous book from different perspectives, and Road Tripped is a good introduction to the Utah Chapter.
For me, this is a five-star book. This series… honestly I have very little interest in romance and motorcycles but these books are so well written and the stories are always such page-turners, I’m hooked. A joy to read!

When he meets Cat he falls in love immediately and he will do whatever it takes to protect her and that means dealing with his past. The plotline is engaging. I can see myself in the story with the main characters. The characters are fully developed and have unique qualities that make me recommend this book. Have you ever wanted to have a second chance at something that you messed up? Does your past come back to bite you in your rear? In this book, you can do just that. You can have a second chance to make everything work and leave you in a happy place. There is a roller coaster ride but the story keeps you moving to finish and before you know it you are at the end of the book. I was happy to find out that the author decided to dedicate a book to this character. We’ve met him briefly in other novels and he was always a jerk. In this story, you realize how very complex he actually is. Stormy’s past comes back to haunt him and nearly kills everyone he cares about, including himself. Unbeknownst to him, he is caught in a much bigger web than he understands. Being a loner for so long, he has to learn to trust that his team will have his back. If he can’t then the woman he loves will die and that’s not an option.

This book is filled with action, betrayal and intrigue. Honestly, I’m never disappointed with a book by this author. It is another winning novel in her Satan’s Devils series. Each book that she writes keeps getting better and better. I highly recommend this one.

Stormy’s Thunder: Satan’s Devils MC Utah by Manda Mellett is a contemporary romance story. I have loved each and every book and the alpha sexy men and women that are part of a community of these and other MC chapters. In this book Stormy is not a likable man and he is someone that you want to strangle or something equally bad too. But in usual Manda style she showed us what the man is made of and what has brought him to the place he is now in. Once knowing that it makes you do a complete 360 and want to give him big ol’ hug. This story really packs a punch and has a lot going on.

By Manda Mellett

I absolutely loved Stormy and Cat’s story. We have met Stormy previously and he comes off as a total a**hole, but I was hoping there was a reason for that. We learn in this story what those reasons are. I found myself rooting for Stormy and Cat just as hard as they were fighting for each other. Cat has also been through a lot and unfortunately we see her go through more in this story. These two are meant for each other and I completely fell in love with this book as I do with every single book I have read from this author. Manda Mellett always gets all my emotions invested in her stories and that makes her one of my favorites. I don’t want to give anything away, I will just say that this is a must read. I highly recommend this book.
