Virtue & Vice (Spicetopia #2) by Phoebe Alexander was an excellent steamy Romance. I love reading Alexander’s books. With this novel shed did an excellent job with her characters Moon and Katja. They were introduced originally at the end of book one and this story has a greater focus on them. I do recommend that book one be read prior to this since it builds off of that storyline. It will help readers understand what is going on better.
I also really enjoyed the storyline and how organized it seemed to be. I had no trouble keeping pace with it as well. It does have a lot of sexual content so it is not a recommendation I would give to readers under 18. I do highly recommend this book and hope others check it out. It is easy to get lost in.

This series just keeps getting better and better. I devoured this book and i was sucked into all of the awesomeness. There is twists and turns, I laughed and I cried throughout all of it…. i couldn’t put it down. I was excited to get Cutter’s Story! He appeared in the first book and i knew i had to get my hands on his story and figure him out. He is such a great character and i was interested to see were his story would go. He meets Valentina and the chemistry between them is off the charts. They are each others equal but they have to find common ground and learn to get along or the chemistry between them will fizzle out and the love hate relationship they have will just turn into hatred. This story is a must read and i would recommend it to a friend.

This is a short YA that was a good start to this series. It is the length of a novella so i was able to read it one setting. It was creative and original and i am looking forward to reading more. This story is about Talise. She was a great character and i liked the younger version of her too. The side characters were awesome as well! I liked that there was so much that happened in this book and i was on the edge of my seat for the whole thing. I can’t wait to read more by this author and i would recommend to anyone that likes YA fantasy.

Ice Crown (The Elements of Kamdaria Book 1) By Kay L Moody. This story drew me in from the first few sentences. It’s a great start to a new series and I’m excited to see where the author takes readers. While this is on the shorter side I didn’t enjoy it any less, I do think there was times where it could have had a bit more. But overall it’s a unique story that had me hooked. It’s well written and the characters are complex and relatable. Talise takes readers on quite the adventure, I loved her drive. I’m definitely looking forward to more from this series and this author. Four stars and highly recommend it.

Rebel Jewel by Natalina Reis is the third book in the Jewel Chronicle series. You do really need to be read the first two books in this series as it is a continuation of the story. You would miss out on a lot if you did not read them. With everything the last two books built up to you knew this one would be fantastic. These characters have been through so much and to watch them have to go through even more was heartbreaking. I was desperate for them to find a way through. This author has such a great writing style. It ebbs and flows perfectly. She even throws in a few surprises for along the way. This has been a brilliant series and one I would definitely recommend you read.

Shameless is the second book in The Orphan Train Saga by Sherry A. Burton. This book is a continuation of the story we began back in “Discovery” (Book #1). This story follows Tobias, who we ‘met’ in the previous book. He is only young but has endured more hardship than anyone deserves to- suffering abuse and neglect due to the family’s impoverished existence- and soon found himself on the streets. But this is not where his story ends. We discover his connection/s to the Orphan Train and what becomes of him, and what he has to do to survive. Another emotive story woven around this intriguing piece of history. As with the first book, this is a mixture of history, drama, fact, and fiction. While all the characters and situations in the story are fictional, the ‘Orphan Trains’ and the situations that brought them about, are quite factual. An emotive journey of discovery!

I enjoyed this contemporay romance story. It is a well written story that is fast reading as well as engaging. Beckett and Greer are characters that are connectable as well as made the story realistic. They took me on an emotional roller coaster that kept me turning pages fast. Greer finds herself in a new home and new school but problem, Beckett doesn’t want her in either places. She is confused why she feels drawn to him. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next.

OMG I FLOVED this book!! I really enjoyed the first one but this one is so far my favorite. I love love love the getting to know you through texts and phone calls. This was so much fun to read. The interaction between ALL of these characters was so awesome and it made the flow of this story so smooth and simply awesome!
Nonna has to be one of my favorite characters ever and the bars of soap had me rolling!! Another of my favorite things was the values and life lessons taught in this book to these characters at a young age, I respected that alot and it didn’t make them all seem like caveman day values, they were simply lessons that meant something..Hard to explain but I loved it!
I’ll admit, I need to go back and read both of these again before another comes out and I’m really looking forward to that because they are that good, but I need to get caught up and understand better the ongoing story going on involving the Seh, and all the different working parts of everything else. I get it but some of it has left me confused which tells me I read too many parts too fast and I tend to do that when I love books this much, and now that I know how some parts turn out I can go back and put my concentration on the others.
This author has crept up on me and her writing style is right up my alley, she has me completely invested in all of these people and I can not wait for the next and any and everything she ever writes.

So the saga continues. As Cindy and her mother find and read grandmother’s journals.You will read all about Tobias and his experience as a young child riding the orphan train. As well as his will to survive and become a man. You will find his story will keep you reading, as it did me.
I enjoyed reading Sherry A. Burton’s Historical Fiction. Even though I don’t usually read Historical books. Once I read the first book, Discovery. I needed to follow this train and read about more characters in this series. I cried, and at times laughed. My heart went out to this young man as well as the other children. Well written and interesting, this book will drag you in, just as it did me. So get out the tissue, chocolate, and whatever you need to get through book 2. Once you open this book, you are in for the ride. Well done!! Enjoy!!

The story Battling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother Romance by T. Christensen is a contemporary/sports romance book. It is a story that will pull you in from the beginning and it didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Greer and Beckett. Greer has had her life changed when she moves into a mansion. She is going to a new school and has to deal with Beckett who is not welcoming. Beckett is at the top of the private school he attends. He doesn’t make Greer feel welcome either in the home they both live in or at school. Even with the tension that is between them Greer feels an attraction to Beckett. What does the future hold for Beckett and Greer? Will Beckett be more welcoming to Greer? Will Greer act on her attraction to Beckett? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about Greer with each chapter that I read and wanted her to be happy. Beckett is a character that takes a little bit to warm up to however I came to understand him and also wanted him to find happiness. There are additional characters that are introduced and many of them are good friends with Greer. I enjoyed reading about them. This is an amazing book that will have you hooked from the very beginning. I highly recommend reading it.

The River Fairy’s Wish is a cute little book by Cyrena Shows. I love the illustrations by Anastasia Yatsunenko, they are very colorful and vibrant. The book is described as a lyrical fairy tale which is exactly what it is. While i was reading it to my children, I liked that the story was like a song, that kept adding on line by line, page by page. By the end they were reading/signing along. I can say by children ranging 3-9 all enjoyed it.

The Fisher Men Xing Lines is book 2 in the Fisher Men Series by Rebel Nicks O’Dey. It is advertised as a stand alone, however, I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it as a stand alone. I feel like the first book gave so much background and introduction to the characters. I got kind of frustrated at the first 1/3 of the book because I felt like it was summarizing too much what was going on. I love how much Rebel goes into the details and the characters, and I was missing that. However, by the end, when it was new material, and not events that overlapped book 1, I felt that. I had a feeling Connor and Rika were going to hook up, even in the first book, and I have to say, I am not disappointed. The story was great, and had some intensely steamy scenes. I had a hard time following Rika’s investigative story. There were a lot of participants, related in various ways, and it took a long time for me to fully understand who everyone was and how it all linked together. Props to the imagination needed for that. I recommend this book, but not as a stand alone. The first book gave so much background, and was amazing, so do yourself and favor, and just read them all.

Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell continues her story of Liz Reams, American Crime professor. This story is about Sam who gets involved with Moshe Toblinsky in 1926. Sam does not know what he has gotten himself into after witnessing a mob hit. Can he get himself out of the mob’s control? Liz Reams is back at researching the past and has the love of her life proposing. Why doesn’t everything feel like it is falling into place? She sets out on a journey which intertwines the past and present. I really enjoy how seamlessly the author brings the two periods together. This allows me to fall in and not want to stop reading. I really enjoy the story of the past and find Liz to be relate able and interesting. I look forward to more in this series and am excited to see what is next.
All That’s Left Unsaid By Rowena Holloway is a wonderfully written thrilling mystery that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t stop reading. Harriet Taylor is a smart yet intelligent woman who wants to reconcile with her estranged mother. Harriet at the request of her mother goes to search for an old friend. As Harriet searches for the truth she finds ds many secrets. Is she in danger? Will she find her mother’s friend? What does Harriet’s future hold? Find out what happens next in this must read book with a few twists and turns. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

From time to time there is a book that makes me have to gather my thoughts and feelings before I can even venture to write a review that explains the depth of what I have spent so many hours reading and imagining. Sherry Burton has done it again with the second book in her Orphan Train Saga, Shameless. If you are like me you never heard of the Orphan trains in school and how they were used to take homeless or unwanted children from the cities out west to families that wanted children. I strongly recommend reading this series in order as this is Tobias’s (aka Mouse) story and answers questions from the first book, Discovery. I can honestly say that after reading Mileta’s story in the first book I wasn’t really looking forward to Tobias, but I am glad now that I picked it up, and probably should mention that I liked this book more than the first!! It shows the reader the reasons behind Mouse’s actions from the scared six year old to the adult Mouse just trying to protect what was his. This is a hard book to read at points, because, come on, who could see a child suffering and not want to help? There were many times my eyes teared up and just as many times I cheered for Mouse. If you are looking for a different storyline I recommend the Orphan Train Saga. The only problem is waiting for the next installment, which is Anastasia’s story, can’t wait for that one!

My goodness! Collision certainly wrapped up the Shattered Hearts series from Nicole Banks absolutely epically perfect! I have really enjoyed this series and with each book they just continue to get better and better until we have this gorgeous culmination to the series. I know for one that as sad as I am to see this series ends, I will be sure to enjoy them many more times to come in the future.
Kris and Chase keep us on the edge of our seats as we watch Kris face the past and the obstacle of learning to let go and forgive. Chase will stop at nothing and do whatever it takes to protect and be with what he holds the closest. These two have a chemistry that will ignite your kindles and cause you to fan the color from your cheeks. I was so enthralled with these two and their tribulations. I won’t spoil the ending but I can promise you it will knock your socks off! I can’t wait to see what will come next from Nicole Banks!
Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell is a brilliantly told tale of history mixed with the present day. After the first book I didn’t know what the author could do to progress this series. I was intrigued to see what else was to come. What she has produced is simply a work of art. The way each chapter jumps between the two timelines is so effortless. The issue with this method is that a lot of authors struggle to keep the story straight and not too complicated and yet Linda Bennett Pennell does it with ease. You never feel overwhelmed or confused. Each character’s story is so strong you can clearly tell them apart. The book has a great depth to it and I found it surprising at just how compelling I found it. This is a very very good book and one I would highly recommend.
Rogue Wave (The Inland Seas Series Book 2) by Gwyn McNamee. This book was amazing and don’t start it thinking you will stop after a few chapters. It sucks you in and you are glued to the pages! This is the story of Cutter and Valentina also known as Kraken & Principessa. Cutter is a deadly and dangerous guy who does what he has to do and does it well. Valentina is strong, intelligent and independent so when Cutter saves her it throws her off completely. Cutter is supposed to be her enemy but there is so much chemistry between them. Cutter is even letting thoughts of her mess with his job and that’s never happened. Will Valentina let down her guard and let Cutter in? She doesn’t want a sweet, cookie cutter man she likes the raw, wild, gunfighter he is. This is not for the faint of heart. It will make your blood boil in more ways than one! Great read!

Rogue Wave is the second book in the Inland Seas Series by Gwyn McNamee. This is not my first book by this author and it will not be my last. One thing I have found with McNamee is that I do not start reading her book until I can have enough time to read the entire story. This story is captivating. This book has Cutter and Valentina story. Valentina is a highly intelligent woman. She was saved by Cutter. There is some tension between Valentina and Cutter. Their relationship can border on a love/hate relationship. This story took me on a roller coaster ride that kept me on the edge of my seat. There is some suspense within the story, so keep your eyes open and enjoy the ride with Valentina and Cutter.

This was such a joy to read. I have to admit I had the song going on in my head as I read it and that inner reading voice was singing the book. The author has such a sweet story here. If my children were younger I would definitely read them this book. It was quite catchy when the author plants the seed about the song association. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone with small children. I am sure it would become one of their bedtime favorites.

I have been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for this book to come out after reading book 1 in the series Sugar & Spice and it absolutely didn’t disappoint – not that I thought it would at all. I was so excited to see where the author was going to take the story and whilst I secretly wanted more of Cy and Jolie I was looking forward to meeting Moon and Katja after their brief introduction at the end of book 1. I loved the friendship that had formed between this couple over their shared idea of opening an adult themed theme park. As I have come to expect from this author there were some very spicy scenes between the characters but I love how well she writes these, they are never tacky or over the top – just enough to get the temperature rising!! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series as it is released and highly recommend Virtue & Vice as an exciting and steamy read!
Rebel Jewel is the third and final instalment in the Jewel Chronicles by Natalina Reis. We’ve been on quite a journey since we set off in “Desert Jewel” (Book #1). The characters have been through so much and they have even more to face in this, the series finale. This is a brilliant fantasy- with action, adventure, suspense, romance, drama, danger, responsibility, intrigue, twists & turns, revolution, good vs. evil, family, and emotion . As this is the last book in the series, and follows on from the previous two books, it would be advisable to read “Desert Jewel” and “Snow Jewel” before embarking on this journey. The foundations of the story, character information and world development all began in “Desert Jewel”- and then that story is built upon more in “Snow Jewel”, before leading into this final chapter- so having all of that information will enhance your whole reading experience. Ms. Reis writes beautifully, and her talent is very apparent throughout the book. The characters are wonderful, and the world in which the book is set is rich and vibrant, with exquisitely detailed scene setting. And as I have said before, I think the characters and the fantastic world building are what really sets this story/series apart from others. This book sees Milenda and Jaali embark on their most dangerous quest yet. There is much at stake- and much to lose if they fail. Revolution always comes at a price- what will theirs be? This story is so well woven with tension and suspense. There is heightened emotion too, as everything unfolds. And in true Natalina Reis style, there are surprises and a few twists to keep us on our toes. A superb end to the series!

Miami Days Havana Nights was another enjoyable read from Linda Bennett Pennell, after really enjoying her previous book I was looking forward to starting this one and I wasn’t disappointed. The storyline was richly detailed and interesting; it kept my attention from beginning to end. I really liked the characters and enjoyed following their story. The mix of past and present was good and there was no confusion when switching between the two, the transition between the two is seamless and this definitely added to my enjoyment of what I was reading. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future!
Ice Crown (The Elements of Kamdaria Book 1) by Kay L Moody, 3 stars This is the first book i have read by this author and although the plot was well written and overall intriguing, i found that it lacked in substance with some descriptions, however it does open it for a much more detailed intensive book 2.

Truck Stopped: Satan’s Devils MC #11 By Manda Mellett. Once again I’m just completely blown away with this author and the stories she has running around in her head, like seriously every time I think it can get any better than this and I’m completely wrong every single time. I love it! Each character this author creates has so many levels and I find them all so unique. And the emotions the author wrote into this story… just wow, I can’t even begin to put into words how amazing this story was. From page one I knew I was in for a late night reading and I was right just couldn’t put it down. I will never forget this series and I honestly cannot wait to reread them especially this one, I just felt a special connection to Truck and Allie, I will forever remember them. Five stars seriously seems so small but I give this store the biggest five stars ever. I thank the author for this incredible story. Please go one click right now!

Not So Wrong (Love Grows Book 2) By Renee Regent. This author does a wonderful job of writing a story that completely hooked me from start to finish. I have a tendency to have a hard time reading about different characters in a series but I really enjoyed these characters just as much as book one maybe even a little bit more but shh don’t tell them. These two characters had me completely drawn into their world. My emotions were a bit all over the place in all the right ways. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The author just has a way of capturing your heart and clinging onto it for good. I highly recommend reading this story and book one if you haven’t. Five of the brightest stars I can possibly give.
