I LOVED this story. Getting to discover a new author to me and reading a fantastic story along the way makes me so happy. This is a young adult, dystopian story with adventure, hope, friendships, and magic. Having a bond of friendship between the four of Joey, Kyle, Brian and Lucas and fighting for what is right…this is a fantastic story and I highly encourage anyone to give this book a chance.
When families have to make a decision believing it is for the better because of it is hard to feed everyone in the family, Joey, Kyle, Brian and Lucas are sent to Lapidius. Learning there is more to venture….the mystery is only beginning….
This book gave me a roller coaster of emotions….which I love about a great story. The author did a fantastic job on details that really brought this story to life.

Don’t let the page count of this book fool you…there is a lot of love, drama, deceit, suspense, and twists and turns packed into this novella.
When Cade, a jazz musician, joins his band in Greece to perform some concerts at the Millennial Olympic games, he is joined by his wife, Lecia. The two are looking forward to a “work” trip (with a built in vacation) in an amazing place…but what happens when things are not as they seem. Through a series of crazy events, the two find themselves caught in a game of lies and deceit that will test their loyalties. The two find themselves not only being able to discern the truth from the lies…but also testing their love to see if it is strong enough to survive such a cruel game of cat and mouse.
This was a quick read and I found myself on the edge of my seat the entire time! I have enjoyed this series, so it was fun to see other characters make an appearance. When you start this book…buckle up…because it’s going to be quite the ride!!

What a cute and romantic story about Mallory and Beckett. This is book 5 in the Buckeye Falls series and despite not reading the previous 4 books, I had no trouble falling in love with the characters in this book. This was a fast read and very predictable most of the time, but honestly that didn’t bother me at all because I just loved Mallory and Beckett and all of the characters involved in the story. Such a great dynamic between best friends and soul mates and also the layers of grief and loneliness. This story was heartwarming and I loved it. If you love lighthearted, sweet romances, then this one (and probably the rest of the series) is for you.

Forever to Fall is the fifth book in the Buckeye Falls series. The book can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I recommend reading the other books in the series. This book focuses on the Mallory and Beckett who “married” as childhood sweethearts with her family’s heirloom ring. Mallory’s memories are soon squashed as her brother wants to use the ring to propose to his girlfriend. Will Beckett return to town to sweep her off her feet? The story is well written with lots of emotion. Mallory’s brother is oblivious to his sister’s feelings and memories of Beckett as he plans his own wedding. Mallory and Beckett get their reunion as they are both in the wedding party. I was hoping for a happy ending, but at moments I was unsure if everything would work out for the two of them. I like there is a bit of complexity to their reunion and it wasn’t just handed the easiest of solutions. Everyone is relatable and Mallory’s brother reminded me of my own. I enjoyed the romance, but also the drama that surrounds events involving family. I hope more books are written centered in the small town of Buckeye Falls.

This is the fifth book in the Buckeye Falls series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone, however once you’ve read one you will love the small town feel, the emotion and romance that you will want to read more. This is a sweet second chance romance filled with sweet moments, secret dating, brother best friend, and childhood sweethearts.
Mallory Lawson has always loved Beckett Fox even when they were children playing together she always knew he was the one for her. The only problem is that he is her brother’s best friend. Little does Mallory know that Beckett felt the same way about her but was held back by the same thing worries about what Mallory’s brother would say. Times moves on and Mallory and Beckett move on with their lives and Beckett moves away. But the feelings they feel for each other never leave. Buddy and his brothers, Salem and Donut, are in this book. Someone keeps getting in the trash. Buddy didn’t want to be a tattletale but he also didn’t like taking the blame. It’s a great way to show littles ones how to make the right choices even when it’s hard. Great illustrations and quick read.

Buddy is getting his forever home in this book. While he was down over not getting picked sooner than his siblings, he finally gets his home. He just needed to learn to be patient. Another great book on learning something that can hard for little ones to understand. Excellent wording and illustrations.

What an exciting fantasy book. A military school in a fantasy realm really is a new one that I’ve come across. A group of boys that grew up together were sent by their parents for survival because resources were slim. There is where the adventure started. This is a pretty fast-paced adventure that will take you for a ride and take you on a gamut of emotions. You’ll feel like you’ve been on a roller coaster ride. A new author and a new type of read leaves me hoping that he’ll write some more and bring some more entertainment to this genre. I enjoyed this story a lot.

Decisions Matter is the third book in the Buddy the Blue Corgi series by Suzanna Lynn. This series is designed to help children work through everyday problems. Decisions Matter is another engaging story that encourages learning right from wrong, good choices, you aren’t being a tattletale if you are standing up for yourself when you haven’t done anything wrong, letting someone else take the blame for something you did wrong is way worse than being a tattletale, being honest, taking responsibility, and more. The story comes with very cute, bright, colourful, and engaging illustrations that help to bring the story to life and reinforce the important messages. As with the other two books, this finishes with a scripture passage that helps to reinforce the messages in this book. Happy Reading…

Welcome back to Buckeye Falls! In Forever to Fall the next one to fall is Mallory. Well actually she may have fallen years ago but never had her chance. The author tells her story in a way that shows wonderful character growth but also the main characters need to self-sacrifice even when it hurts. Beckett is back. Well he just moved to Buckeye Falls and he knows this is where the one who got away lives. His grandfather’s dying wish was for him to get his girl. Easier said than done. 1st step: move to where she is. 2nd step: he hasn’t figured that out yet. Evan is the issue, he’s his best friend but also the brother of the woman he’s been pinning for, for years. How can he go for what he wants? Mallory is in a frenzy knowing Beckett just moved to her town. He’s the one he always has been, but he doesn’t feel the same way. Or so she thought. And then there’s the matter of Nana’s ring. A ring she always thought would be hers, but Evan wants it. Downside she takes the pain and says congratulations it’ll be perfect for Cece, all the while she’s emotionally destroyed inside. Not only does Beckett see it but her sister does too! Evan seems to be oblivious to notice. Just like he’s too oblivious to notice how she feels about his best friend. Can her and Beckett coexist for those around them? Will they always be awkward with one another? Or will they finally take the chance they’ve always wanted? It’s a wonderful addition to the series. A series of books that are great to read in succession. However each one works as a standalone novel as well. I will say this though, once you read one you’ll want to read them all!

A Pig and A Poke by Tricia Gardella is a fun little story that my grandchildren really enjoyed. The illustrations are very cute, colourful, and engaging- which made this fun little adventure come to life. Angela enters a pig wrestling contest- and she has some stiff competition. What happens makes for a fun read. Another engaging, fun, imaginative, and enjoyable children’s picture book from Ms. Gardella. It also comes with some important life lessons such as, believing in yourself, perseverance/persistence, fair play, being brave, standing up for yourself/standing up to a bully, respect for others, and ‘keeping your eye on the prize’. Looking forward to whatever Tricia Gardella brings us next. Highly recommended. Happy Reading!

I’ve enjoyed this series of books and this one did not disappoint either. There are some very dark moments for Matthew in this book but ultimately, he receives the redemption he’s been seeking. The writer of this series has put a lot of thought into the character development and storyline and I highly recommend reading these in order. While this book takes place between books 2 and 3, you could read this one out of order but should probably read those books first for better context.

This author has become a favorite in our household, so we were all excited when we sat down to read this together. The illustrations are beautiful and quite fun as they add more depth to the story. Both of my kiddos loved this book even though they’re a little over the target audience. I also enjoyed myself as we tried to guess where we would find Gramma on each page. It is thoroughly entertaining, silly, and engaging. This would be such a wonderful addition to your home library, a daycare, or even in the classroom. We are all excited to see what else this author creates as we will be following along for the fun!
Decisions Matter is Book 3 in the Buddy the Blue Corgi series and this is a great story that teaches a valuable lesson we could all learn. I always believe honestly is the best policy regardless if it is good or bad. When a mystery on whom is making a mess in the trash….Buddy knows it is not him. When the blame is placed on him, there lesson of trying to find the truth and what can happen…. all Buddy wants is to find out who is the culprit….
This is a great story with a very big lesson on telling the truth that we all can learn from. The story has beautiful and colorful illustrations and can be enjoyed from the young and the young at heart reading to the little ones. I really love Buddy the Blue Corgi and his adventures and lessons. I would love to see more in the future with Buddy.

Oh my. This one gets into the heat quick and then builds. I have read several of Anise Storm’s books and I will always choose her work as a go to. While the first book in this series was friends to lovers, this one was a one-night stand, turned student professor forbidden love. Dual perspective of Callum and Nicole. Callum is a thirty-year-old Titan of Chicago. A summer vacation to Costa Rica before he began his second year, first full year, teaching at the University of Chicago he attends an ayahuasca ceremony. His goal to learn more about himself. Nicole is a twenty-one-year-old senior in college. Breaking family tradition, she transfers from Stanford to the University of Chicago for her senior year and to intern at her uncle’s company which is in her field of study. She is the belle of a Titan and the niece of one. While finishing up her vacation in Costa Rica before her senior year she attends an ayahuasca ceremony to find out who she is. The moment they meet they are drawn to each other and a single night of desire follows them back to the states. Only fast forward, first day of classes and he is her Senior Lit professor, and she is his student. They both are flooded with memories and wants that no longer can be possible. But he’s not the only one watching and wanting Nicole. Who wants to take Nicole from him? Will they succeed in taking down a Titan? What will come of the other man/student in Nicoles orbit? Everything about this series makes you want more. Makes you hold your breath with each new chapter and turn of the page as the story unfolds. I cannot wait to see what Titan’s story we will get next. As the boys grow and learn what needs to be done will love find a way or will the ring get its way once again? This is an intriguing story. Readers are introduced to a new and interesting paranormal world. I found the idea of the ring and how it affects the person it is tied to an engaging storyline. It was nice to see the way Kenai and Mikael form a relationship and how far they will fight for it. The two work hard to prove that love is stronger than hate. Their story is well paced and has a good mix of romance and action.

The life lesson in the third book, “Decisions Matter,” in the Buddy the Blue Corgi series is that sometimes it’s better to tell the truth than to keep quiet because you never know who will get hurt. In this book, Buddy discovers that it’s okay to tell the truth because he doesn’t like being in trouble for something he didn’t do. My grandsons enjoyed seeing Buddy and his family, and how he is settling in, which was beautifully depicted by the lovely illustrations. They didn’t like that Buddy was getting in trouble for something he didn’t do, but they were glad when it was revealed that he wasn’t the one making the mess. Your children will also enjoy the adventures with Buddy.

Where’s Gramma? by Tricia Gardella. I loved this book. The story and pictures were so great. I’m about to be a Gramma for the first time any day now so this story hit home! I can only hope to be the kind of Gramma these lucky boys have. Its the story of 4 brothers who are always excited to see their Gramma. She is always down for any adventure and by any, I mean any! In this story the boys are looking for Gramma and they don’t know where she could be. Is she up a tree, swimming or looking at a snake? She could be anywhere because Gramma is not scared of anything and is always up for adventure! I recommend this sweet book for all the Gramma’s out there and anyone with grandkids! They will love the fun story and the great pictures! I can’t wait to read it to my grandson!
The delightful tale had my grandsons laughing along on this misadventure as Angela and a disaster of a pig faces off against a bully and learns valuable lessons. The bold and colourful illustrations complement the story and bring it to life. The book is fun, easy to follow, and full of mayhem and madness as Angela and her cute pig embark on their journey. “A Pig and A Poke” is an enjoyable story that nurtures young imaginations and instils a love for stories and learning.

Made to Love Her (Moore Family Saga Novella) by Michele Sims. This is a super short novella that is so good. If you have read the Moore Family Saga you will for sure want to check it out. Its the story of Cade a famous Jazz Saxophone player and his wife Lecia. They have traveled to Greece to preform with Cade’s band that is back together. Thinking they are going to have a beautiful vacation they are so excited. Vincent and Cade are brothers and Vincent is working on a case so he decides to go and be security for Cade and Lecia. Their dream vacation becomes a bad dream when loyalties are tested and lies are being spread. Will Cade and Lecia had a strong enough bond to survive the upheaval. This is a short psychological thriller that will keep you flipping the pages in one sitting. I loved it!

What a beautifully written spiritual story. Andrew learns a very special message from his parents. A message we also find in our Bible. However, having parents spread such a great message. As well as letting Andrew discover the truths about himself. Makes for a grand story. The author did a great job, setting the parents with the tools needed to teach such a great message. I really enjoyed this spiritual story. The way it was written made is easy for children of all ages to follow. Two thumbs up for this children’s book.
