Hollywood talent scout Jules ends up in the small, ranch town of San Sity, Florida to scout talent for an upcoming reality dating show to be filmed in the town. While the town’s quirky relatives all think they have what it takes to be a star, there’s one man who stands above all the rest: Mitchel Scott.
Mesmerized by the hunky cowboy at first glance, Jules sets off to convince Mitchel he’s the spark the show needs to become a hit, but the tough-talking, no-nonsense rancher wants nothing to do with Jules or her show and would be happy if he never heard from her again.
Or so he claims.
Jules and Mitchel fight each other at every turn, but neither of them is prepared when their growing animosity turns into love.

This is the first time I have read from this author. I love a good enemies to lovers story but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is a quick read but the story line will hook you. It only took me only a couple of hours to devour this amazing story.
Zennie can’t believe that someone is going to tear down her history. She is so mad at Colton Sage that she hates him but she doesn’t even know him. Zennie wants to fight to keep the plantation standing and Colton is ready to build his dream. When Zennie meets Colton she feels something she has never felt before. Will Zennie save her history or will she build a new future? Review @heatherbass
Are you ready to fall in love with Stacy-Deanne’s characters? How about ready to dive into some deep south history and hurts? If you are, then you’re in for a treat. Meet Zenni, a strong woman who stands up for her beliefs, and meet Colton a man who knows what he wants.
‘“Or change it,” a male’s voice boomed with authority, but also had a soft edge that pulled you out of the lush surroundings and made you feel at home. “That’s what I’d do.” Colton Sage came into view, those frost-blue eyes immediately hitting Zenni’s soul. “Well, you must be Zenni Parker.” His graze caressed her curves.’
You may be able to guess what their motives are both romantically and with the plantation. But better you keep your suspicions to yourself and enjoy this well written book.

A tough female lead, enemies to lovers, clash of history romance. Zenni is our female lead who is fighting for her family’s history through a slave plantation in our little Georgia town of Everwood. Colton, our male lead and trying to destroy the plantation to “break the chains” of history holding back the town. This is our conflict and throughout the book we get attraction that builds into something more. Yet held back by the single conflict that is the basis of the tie that binds our characters together. There is a lot to like about this book. The characters are strong, and the history of the plantation comes through beautifully. There is heartbreak in the past that shapes our characters that feels a little flat, but it still feels close. The scenery and setting could use a bit more fleshing out, but not so much that you don’t feel like you can almost recognize the town from an old memory. While not a “rip your heart out” love story, this one will definitely keep you rooting for our leading lady!
I just had to give this book a read when I glanced over the summary. Upon reading it, just like the characters, I had strong opinions about the plantation and the story itself until it unraveled in front of my very eyes through the lens of the characters. I surprised not only myself but the author captured different opinions with the way the characters expressed their opinions and stories but I haven’t always been a fan of BWWM and with books like these, I’ve surprisingly grown to love them. They’ve taught me lessons I can’t believe I’m still learning in life through reading about them. This book will have you questioning yourself in not just the story but in the very way everything unravels which makes this just the read to delve into during your downtime like I did.

Zenni Paker has 2 goals when going back to Everwood County and falling for Cole Sage is not one of them. She is back to assess the damage the recent hurricane did to her grandparents home. They have been gone for several years, but she wants to see what can be salvaged. When Zenni hears that Cole plans on tearing down Everwood Estate, a place that has a lot of history for her family, she is a bit upset. Cole wants to move on from the past and build townhouses on the property which would bring more revenue to the city. Can they possibly come to a compromise?
Zenni has one goal. Colton has one goal. They are not the same In this short cute read we follow the story of enemies to lovers. Can two people really overcome all the obstacles? Can two people both chasing a goal different from each other put that aside? The author does a very good job of bringing us into the story, making us feel like we are there in Georgia in the heart of the story! This was a nice, fun, easy to read book that really made you rethink what you know!

Everwood County Plantation is the second story I’ve read written by this author. I really enjoyed her writing style in both stories. This particular story had such a good storyline. The main characters both had histories that could affect their futures. They were both pretty stubborn until they fell in love. I enjoyed reading the story. I am sad how quick I read it but if you’re looking for a good quick read this is definitely the book for you.
Zenni returns to Everwood with the intent to save the Everwood County Plantation because it is her only remaining link to her heritage. Local billionaire, Colton, has purchased the plantation and intends to destroy it. Zenni and Colton are soon at war with one another, and each will stop at nothing to get what they want. Each is intent to destroy the other at all costs in pursuit of their end goal. Neither Zenni nor Colton could predict that there would be an undeniable attraction between them that will change everything. Will Zenni and Colton be able to put aside their hatred of one another over the fate of the Everwood County Plantation? Will they be able to deny the chemistry between them?
This book was a quick and enjoyable read. I loved the characters of Zenni and Colton and found myself rooting for each one for different reasons. Zenni is feisty, smart, and determined. She is a woman on a mission who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Colton might have money to throw around, but Zenni proves to be a worthy adversary. Colton comes across at first as a ruthless billionaire who is used to winning and getting what he wants. Then we learn that Colton also has very personal reasons for wanting the plantation destroyed which makes the reader look at him in a whole new light. I had to keep reading to see what the fate of the plantation would be and who would win the battle of wills between Zenni and Colton. Of course, I also had to see if either Zenni or Colton would let themselves admit the attraction to the other and pursue a relationship. Great read!

Zenni feels like she has lost nearly every piece that connects her to her past. When she finds out the plantation where her ancestors were slaves was set to be destroyed, she did not hesitate to go and try to save it. When Zenni met Colton, she realized he was more than determined to destroy the plantation and stopping him would be next to impossible. Little did she know there was more to him than met the eye.
Colton felt sparks when he met Zenni. Though he put on a strong front, he wanted nothing more than to get to know her. Could he get to know her and follow through with the plans to destroy a part of his past? This was a beautiful story of personal growth and coming together.
This was such a fast read. I loved the storyline and the characters that tie it together. I really wanted more! I would have loved to have more pages in this story so I could just get more of the characters and their world. I was a little sad when it moved so fast and ended so quick. I will definitely be reading more by this author.

This is a short story that I absolutely loved reading. Once I started reading there was no stopping until I finished. I only wish there was more. I loved this romance read but some parts felt a bit rushed and once the story got going things evened out. The author does a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life and keeping your attention. The chemistry between them is fire. Find out what happens between Zenni and Colton as there fight over the Plantation turns into much more than either one ever expected. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

The only thing that would have made this book better would be for it to have been longer! I love the passion and fire in the characters. Zenni is so strong and knows what she wants. Colton is frustrating and head strong. This is such a sweet fast paced romance. Awesome writing style and will definitely be reading more from this author!
Everwood Plantation is a quick and fun read for lovers of the enemies to lovers trope. Zenni is a florist trying to stop the demolition of the plantation her family is from, by billionaire Colton Sage. I liked the banter between the two characters. It was definitely entertaining. I do think that the characters could use some fleshing out. She’s selfish and he’s immature which meant I found it difficult to root for them. It’s hard to root for a couple when you don’t really feel a connection to either character. That being said, I think this book is a quick and fun read for people that love romance. Enjoy!

Everwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies-to-Lovers Billionaire Romance was the first I’ve read by Stacy-Deanne. This short romance story was a quick read for me and I could not put it down. The chemistry buildup between the two main characters, billionaire Colton and florist Zenni, at first was quite a bit of arrogance between the two, but that quickly turns into a hot, steamy romance. They both feel something, but aren’t sure due to the fact that they are rivals on the matter of tearing down the Everwood plantation. Zenni feels that this plantation is her livelihood and her connection to her family’s past will be destroyed if the plantation is torn down, on the other hand, Colton wants to destroy the plantation and remove the physical reminder of the pain and suffering of the people who were enslaved there. Because of this, Zenni and Colton struggle to see that they have a strong and loving connection all because of the plantation’s history. Will they be able to connect for good, or is the plantation going to get in the way of their relationship? Read and find out!

Everwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies-to-Lovers Billionaire Romance by Stacy-Deanne 3 out of 5 stars
Everwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies-to-Lovers Billionaire Romance is my first entry to books by Stacy-Deanne. While I had a hard time connecting to the storyline of this book, both characters were well written and developed. I struggled with the plot as it was slow at times, and the ending seemed to wrap it all up to quickly, the setting of the book was beautiful, and the description of the property was breathtaking. Lovers of history, romance, and a bit of mystery will enjoy this book. 3 out of 5 Stars
Very well written love story. This story could fall in several genres, BWWM, enemies to lovers, billionaire romance. From different walks of life, Zenni and Colton are very different but can they find a way to overcome the past and find their way to one another? Quick read.
really enjoyed the characters in this book. They are both very strong and know what they want. Even though this was a short read it didn’t lack in detail or feel rushed alot ought I’d of preferred a longer book. Zenni and billionaire Colton Sage disagree over what is happening to the planntion as its a connection to her past she feels very passionate about it. Fighting amongst themselves they can’t help but feel a mutual attraction.
First read by author Stacy-Deanne, however it won’t be my last! Super quick read—finished in less than 2hrs. Romance at its best! The characters were endearing and affable, while sizzling with sexual tension and desire. I loved their love-hate relationship, and was thoroughly rooting for them to end up together, showing us that happily ever after really does exist.
Zenni returned to Everwood County from Chicago after her grandparents home was destroyed to sift through the rubble and attempt to try to stop local billionaire, Colton Sage, from tearing down the plantation that had meant so much to her and her family. Coming off a bad break up and no real ties to the Windy City, aside from her BFF, Vanessa, Zenni thought the change of pace would do her well. Sparks fly between Zenni and Colton from the very first encounter, however both are so bull headed that neither on will back down from their stance on the future of the the plantation. Could the two of them really set aside their differences and give love a chance? Colton has never met any one like Zenni and he is willing to do anything to give their live a shot—except give in about the future of the plantation.

This story is a very quick read and it draws you in from the first chapter. You will understand each of Colton and Zenni’s reasons for wanting the plantation. The love that they try to deny throughout the book is super cute. It’s the rich guy that wants to tear it down and the girl that feels it’s the last memories she has of her family. This book does touch on slavery and shows you two completely different views on it. One is pain and suffering, the other is trying to preserve the history. The angst that the characters feel for each other is felt throughout the book. It is such a sweet burn romance. The book has you constantly asking who will prevail and if so will they be able to love each other. Can they put their differences aside and make the best of the situation and have a happily ever after? These questions are what kept me turning the page. It will be a fast, interesting, slow burn romance read that you didn’t know you needed until you finish it.

I am glad I picked up this book to read, it was so good!!! When we first meet both Zenni and Colton, I was intrigued how this story would play out. I loved Zenni’s character and how strong and determined she was, and trying to fight for what was right in her mind and for her family. Zenni meets Colton and tries to put up a fight to not destroy a plantation that her ancestors were part of……but Colton has reasons…..and the more you read into this story the author really sheds a light on both characters on to keeping a piece of history to remain standing that was not a good part of our history, but yet learn from or destroy the plantation because of the bad that was part of it. Can Colton and Zenni’s love for each other the more they get to know each other overcome their differences in what to do about the plantation?
The author told a great story on two different people whom come together and have different perspectives over a historical plantation … this story was so good!
This was definitely a quick, easy read. The characters are depicted beautifully as is the scene descriptions, especially those of the plantation. While I did enjoy this book I craved more conflict, more tension, and more passion.
We meet Zenni first who returns to her family’s hometown to assess and repair the damage done to her grandparents house from a previous hurricane. While there she catches wind of Colton Sage’s plans to tear down the Everwood Plantation which is a personal part of Zenni’s family history. As the fighting continues putting them into close proximity it seems the feelings they share are not only deep but meaningful and intimate. Can Zenni and Colton get over their own selfish ways to find their happily ever after? Or will they let the past ruin any type of future they might have?
A very quick read, with a simple to follow storyline. If you like romance novels this is a fairly good read and you would most likely enjoy this novel. I know I enjoyed it, I would just like a little more depth to the situations Zenni and Colton faced, both together and separate!
Short but descriptive This was a quick read enemies to lovers romance with passion, fire and chemistry. Zenni and Colton have their fair share of emotional hang ups that they needed to deal with. The start had me frustrated as the couple worked through their differences but from the second half the story had me thoroughly engaged. A great afternoon escape.

This was such a good read! It was quick and light. Colton and Zenni each have such a passion for the same plantation. Even though that passion is completely opposite than the other, that’s what brings them together. Watching them fall in love and learning in the end that it didn’t even matter, brought the whole story together!

This is the second book that I have read from this author and just like the first one, this one did not disappoint either. The author did a great job at keeping me hooked page after page. I like the fact that it was a shorter story that I was able to read in one afternoon. Can’t wait to read more from this author!! Zenni has to leave her life in Chicago for a while to fight for the plantation her ancestors lived in and dies as slaves. She also has to try to rebuild her grandparent’s house too. There are two things in her way and stopping her progress… government grants and Colton Sage. Although Zenni and Colton have an instant physical attraction, Zenni refuses to fall for his advances because in her eyes he is the enemy trying to erase her history. Colton may be the richest man of his time but that is all he has in his life at the moment. He wants to tear down the plantation and put up condos. Falling for Zenni was never what he had planned.
I wish this book was longer or maybe even some more added to the current chapters. I feel like there’s so much more to know of Zenni and Colton’s story!
At first I didn’t care for Colton. He seemed like your typical rich boy, cocky and arrogant. Then he turned out to be a total different person, guess love, true love, will do that to ya!
Zenni showed how passionate she was about her family history, her story. Even when her and Colton were at the Plantation talking even with all the sadness that had happened on the property she was showing how passionate she was in keeping some of her family’s stories alive.
This story was short but I quickly fell in love with Zenni and her story and then Colton and his story. You felt the passion from both of them from the start and I love how the author let their flirting play out simple and then kicked it up.

Zenni is fighting with Colton. While fighting they fall in love. While there romance blooms there conflict is unresolved and threatening their relationship. With Sandy’s medical emergency it reunites Sandy and Colton.
“I can’t believe this.” Twenty-nine-year-old Zenni Parker paced in the living room of her short-term rental, screaming to her best friend Vanessa Thompson over the phone. “Colton Sage is going to tear down the Everwood Plantation! He wants to demolish it and build townhouses or something.” “Good.” Vanessa chewed on something and Zenni guessed it was orange slices, since she loved eating them for breakfast. “I hope he blows it to smithereens and people forget it ever existed.” “No.” Zenni rubbed her forehead as she walked over her ivory carpet on bare feet. “V, this isn’t a good thing.” “Tell me how the hell it’s not! This is a damn plantation. Where slaves, your own family ancestors, by the way, were held in captivity and treated like animals. Colton wants to destroy it. How can that not be a good thing?” “Because it’s still history.” Zenni plopped down on the suede couch. “Of course, slavery was ugly but it’s still an important part of our lives. As a black woman, keeping that history alive is important.” “Well as a black woman, I’d burn the damn thing down myself. I couldn’t even stand to drive past the place without becoming enraged so I don’t see how you can defend it.” “It’s a part of my family history. My entire family, all dead now, shall I remind you, came from Everwood County. Came from that plantation and despite the horrible things that happened there, it’s a part of this town. It’s a part of me. I can’t let Colton just tear it down so he can throw up condos for his rich-ass friends, no.” “How you gonna stop him?” Vanessa chewed. “Colton Sage is one of the richest men in the world. He comes from a long line of wealth, old money. He’s Georgia royalty and from what I’ve heard, doesn’t he practically own Everwood County?” “That plantation belongs to the town, not Colton Sage.” Zenni sat back, chewing her lip. “He thinks because he has money he can do whatever the hell he wants. Well he can’t here. I’m the only one who can stand up for that plantation and I will.”
Everwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies to Lovers Billionaire Romance by Stacy-Deanne. If the title and cover don’t give you enough of an idea about the story, then the excerpt above certainly should paint the picture for you. This is an enemies to lovers romance, with BWWM, chemistry, passion, steam, secrets, challenges, conflict, banter, flirting, and finding love unexpectedly. Colton wants to tear down an old plantation and develop it into modern condos. Zenni’s history is tied to the historical landmark and she will do everything she can to prevent it from being destroyed. A clash of wills ensues. Sparks fly. And passion is unleashed. Who wins this battle of wills? What happens when everything is said and done? Will the plantation survive the battle ahead? What happens when love complicates matters further? You will need to read the book if you want to find out how everything plays out in the end. This is a short story, which made for a very quick and easy read. But, I would liked to have read a longer version of this story as I think more detail, depth, and development would have allowed me to connect with the characters more easily and also allowed me the time to settle into their story, which would have given me more of an opportunity to invest in the characters and their story. I really wanted to like this story a lot more than I did, as I have read other books by Stacy-Deanne and loved them- but I found it too hard to connect with this story and these characters- especially in the beginning with all the quarrelling that ensued. But, having said that, I am looking forward to seeing what Stacy-Deanne does next.
What an amazingly sweet story. The characters are imperfect when we meet them, and they are imperfect when we leave them, but, oh!- what an amazing journey of personal growth they embark on. I especially liked how the two main characters each learned to view situations from the other’s perspective, and ultimately each decided to do what was best for the other. Readers are treated to historical backdrops. Characters wrestle with some of today’s hot-button issues.
