Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara Four Stars
Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion is Books 4 Depression, 5 Acceptance and 6 Hero of the Hero High series by Mina Chara. This segment of the series is filled with fast paced intrigue and adventure along with a little romance throw in. Friday Fitzsimmons is back and on the edge of stardom, but is that what she really wants? This fantasy superhero genre is not one I usually read, but I’m really enjoying this series. All of the characters are growing as the series unravels and the writing is wonderful. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

That Incredible Kiss by Tamara Ferguson Five Stars
That Incredible Kiss is the third book in the Kissed By Fate Series by Tamara Ferguson. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend all of the books by Tamara. I live in northern Wisconsin and I always get a kick out reading her books when she mentions places I know. I have to say I fell in love with this book the moment I started it and it kept me enthralled right until the end. This is definitely my new favorite of Ms. Ferguson’s books. Ashley and Brian are powerful characters and watching them grow out of tragedy is a wonderful thing. If you love romance, these are the books for you!

The Body Collector is the third book in the Bad Boys Of Space Series by Landra Graf. This book can be read as a standalone because this is the first book I fave read by this author. I truly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to go back and read the first two books. This Is Big Al and Loyda’s story. The chemistry between these two is out of this world. This book is full of twists and turns that had me reading long into the night, but it was worth the tiredness I felt all day today. I highly recommend this book.

True Bastard is the fourth book in the Dark Sparrow series by India Kells. I think this is my new favorite in this series. Liam is such an alpha male until Sister Catriona tames him with her angelic presence. This book had me up long past my bedtime, because I just couldn’t put it down until I read the last page. This book was well worth the lack of sleep. This story took me on an emotional roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. This entire series is going to get a re-read before the next book comes out. I highly recommend this book, series and author. Review by @sunbarn

It Comes From Within is the second book in the House Valdis series by Naomi Valkyrie. This series should be read in order to fully understand the plotline. This book takes place six months after the Rise Of the House Valdis. The story is multi layered with amazing characters. I would consider it to be Fantasy/Sci-Fi which is not a normal genre that I read, but Ms. Valkyrie really has my attention with this series. All of the characters in this book have a voice and I love how we learn more about them and thing that have shaped their lives. This author is growing with every book and I look forward to reading many more books in the future.

Build-A-Book Workshop is the second book in The Literary Handyman series by Danielle Ackley McPhail. This informative “how to” is filled with some really great information. It is easy to follow and chapters are well defined. If you are an author just staring out, this book will give you a bunch of different ideas to make your book stand out and hopefully make money. For me, I read the book because I was thinking about dabbling in writing. The tips are refreshing and are easy to follow. I would recommend this book to beginning author. Review by @sunbarn

Drifting Falling: Diary of a Call Girl Suicide by AJ Ullman Four Stars
Drifting Falling: Diary of a Call Girl Suicide is a heartbreaking story by AJ Ullman. This is the first book I have read by AJ Ullman, but definitely won’t be the last. This book captures all of the pain and disappointment of a young woman with a dark and troubled past. This book was deeply moving and hard to read at times, but I think AJ did a really good job of bring the issues of depression and suicide to light. I would recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

On With The Butter! Spread More Living onto Everyday Life by Heidi Herman Five Stars
On With The Butter is an inspirational / self help bookby Heidi Herman. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Herman, but I’m going to be checking a few more out in the near future.
This book actually got me thinking and may change my life, if I can stick to some of Ms. Herman’s philosophies. Last year, I was diagnosed with cancer. I went through the treatment and am now cancer free for about nine months. However, the treatments weren’t so friendly with my body. I was thinking a lot this past month about being fifty three years old and unable to move around like I used to even two years ago. My life consists mostly of working 10-12 hour days coming home watching tv and sleeping. With the pandemic, my husband and I don’t even go out to dinner anymore. I was thinking the other day, I need to make so e changes, and reading this book gave me some great ideas. I’m not an outdoor person, but the hobbies and book club ideas sound wonderful. Trying something new sounds like a breath of fresh air.
Thank you Ms. Herman for giving me all of these new ideas to enhance my life. I’m ready to change my focus from all work and no play to finding things I enjoy and indulging myself. Life is too short to continually be weighed down by the daily grind. I look forward to putting some of you lists to good use. This is an excellent guide to make a happier me. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge.

Virtually Gone : A Mended Souls Novel by Jacquie Biggar Five Stars
Virtually Gone: A Mended Souls Novel is the sixth book in the High-Tech Crime Solvers Series by Jacquie Biggar. Each book in this series is written by a different author featuring recurring characters and the theme of technology and crime. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Biggar, but definitely won’t be the last. I found the story compelling and the characters easy to relate to. It was fast paced and I didn’t want it to end, but I also wanted to find out who-done-it. I’m going to try my luck with the other books in this series, and also try some of Jacquie’s other books. I think she may turn into a go to author for me.
The Wandering Isles: A Crown Of Stones by C.L. Schneider Five Stars
The Wandering Isles is the first novella in a series that takes place after The Crown Of Stones by C.L. Schneider. These novellas can be read without having read The Crown Of Stones series but if you love fantasy books, you are definitely going to want to read that series also. The Crown Of Stones was the books that introduce me to that genre and I can’t seem to get enough of it now. The Wandering Isles is just as amazing. The characters are original and so detailed. The storyline just sucked me in from the first page and I couldn’t put the book down until the last. I’m glad to be following Ian and Jarryd on this dark fantasy adventure. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this series. I highly recommend all of C.L. Schneider’s books butif you haven’t read any yet, this is a great place to start!
