Unexpected Entanglement is the third book in The Echo series. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series and this one is no different. I like that CR has intertwined the characters throughout the books. This is probably my favourite of the three.
This heartfelt and fun love story will have you falling in love with the characters, Rowan and Chris. I also enjoyed their back and forth banter. The supporting characters where great too.
There is tension and angst, chemistry and steamy scenes, unbridled passion and humour, danger and suspense, pain and emotions. This is a great read and I was hooked from the word go.
This is a captivating tale and I liked the fake relationship trope and all that comes with trying to keep things straight. What is supposed to be a simple wedding turns out it is anything but……. Are lives in danger? You will have to read to find out.
I am looking forward to seeing what comes next from CR.

I’ve read several books from this series by C.R. Alam and I have to say this one is my absolute favorite. You know the connection is there and you hope to know the outcome but the struggles getting there are so real life. You root for Chris, you root for Rowan. Who is causing the problems for the Inn? Will the family ever meet? It has everything.

Once again this can be read as a standalone but is the 3rd book in the WaterFyre series.
TW: Kidnapping, abuse, mentions of human trafficking/close calls

I just love the men in this series. I am so happy to finally have Grayson’s story, the wonderful architect. He is still struggling with the betrayal from the last book he has built some impenetrable walls around himself. His friends and family are trying to help but he has dived head-first into work and isn’t coming up for air. That is until he runs into Natalie. At the time Natalie is working a city job, trying to find answers to save her families legacy back home. They go back and forth at each other till the tension between them just SNAPS.

Enemies to lovers with suspense, heartbreak, and full of action! Can’t wait for The Inquisitor.

After reading the first two books in the Echo Series, I was excited to read Unexpected Entanglement. Once again, C. R. Alam did not disappoint! This book had wonderful characters: Rowan Kelly and Chris Sullens. When they meet, Rowan realizes that she could use Chris’ help with her inn; but small island community living easily sparks rumors-meaning the two will have to pretend to be a couple.
This novel has a lot to offer, with well-written characters, romance, suspense, and humor. I recommend reading the first two books in this series, but Unexpected Entanglement could be read as a stand- alone.

This Contemporary Romance has it all. Even though Rowan and Chris tried to fight their emotions. Fake or not things still went from business to wholly hot. Rowan is strong and independent and even though she had a lot to accomplish with her sister’s wedding, she was determined to get it done. Chris on the other hand was not expecting to help out. So now that he got himself in hot water. How will he get himself out of the emotional rollercoaster he jumped into? Will Rowan see herself clear or will she too jump into the rollercoaster? This author left nothing out. Her writing is easy to follow and your emotions will be out of control. She really has a way with words. This story was right on, in the romance series. I can hardly wait to read more from this series. See where the author takes us next.

Unexpected Entanglement (Book 3 of the Echo Series)Unexpected Entanglement by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This author knows how to create amazing, relatable characters. Even though Chris Sullens is a famous entrepreneur, he can talk to and relate to a small hometown community. From the main characters to the smallest of characters, the author puts an immense amount of personality into each of them as if you have known them for multiple series. In this case we have known Chris, but not to the extent in which we now know him in this novel.

This book is a tale of two love birds that struggle to express their opinions to each other but wear their hearts on their sleeves. The story of Rowan and Chris pulls at my heart strings and I was rooting for them every step of the way. Frustration, anger, lust, and happiness are all emotions that play major roles in this novel and I highly recommend you pick it up! There is a small amount of love scenes in this book which I appreciate because I do not enjoy complete erotica novels. It is easy enough to skip over those scenes as well. I sincerely cannot get enough of this author!

Unexpected Entanglements is the third book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. This is a contemporary romance with a fake relationship element, an unexpected entanglement, chemistry, sizzle, emotion, angst, love, loss, grief, a little drama, danger, finding love unexpectedly, fate, banter, and more.
Chris Sullens is about to have his world turned upside down when he not only finds himself offering to help plan a wedding out of the blue, he also can’t deny the connection that simmers between the stunning innkeeper/wedding planner and himself. But things take a very interesting turn when he then agrees to play her (fake) fiancé. So, get set as the sparks fly, chemistry sizzles, and things start to go awry. What happens definitely makes for an engrossing read.

This is the third book in this series which I enjoyed reading just as much as the previous two books. I would highly suggest reading the previous two books to help your enhancement of this author. This is a series I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This book is just as engaging and hard to put down. I enjoyed how the author used details to make her story come to life on each page. The characters are relatable, strong and supportive of each other. They pull you into their world from the start and had me coming back for more. I enjoyed watching their growth and their chemistry just as great to see. I found this book to be fast paced and engaging. A story where a simple favor turns into so much more for these two characters. You don’t want to miss what happens next. What a wonderful ending to a terrific series. Rowan and Chris’s story is just beautiful. It started with tragedy yet they overcame a lot. I found the story heartwarming with a bit of everything in it. I loved that old friends from the previous stories came to visit. This really helps ties everything up and helps with continuity of the story. I have loved all the characters. The author writes in such a way that you feel like they are your friends. This can be read as a stand alone or a series but I would recommend to read in order. I would recommend this series. It’ sone of the most heartfelt and warm series I’ve read in a while.

Grayson is stuck in a cycle of mistrust and work, when his Uncle betrayed the family he did not think he would survive the personal struggle which occurs from such a great betrayal but as he tries to purpose his project unexpectedly he meets someone who challenges him and does not back away from the alpha billionaire.

Natalie wants answers, her father died in mysterious circumstances and when a letter arrived saying she own a piece of real estate that her father had willed her she tries to seek information and why he would have done this. While on her adventures she is confronted with a man who stirs something inside and seems to have some more information regarding her property, the only problem he needs it as part of his project and she is hiding the fact she owns it, will this set of sparks of anger or are they both showing feelings of something more.

This the third book in this series and they only get better the more you read on, all the books can be read as stand alone books as there is only a small thread of background which runs through each character. I loved the chemistry which jumps off the page relating to Natalie and Grayson, with also the fact they are both hiding a secret in there past just adds to the overall arc of the story.

The story was well written and draws you in with the twists and turns as you delve further into the story on the page. It was also lovely to see the relationship between these two characters blossom in too respect and love in the end. With Grayson, understanding the relationship between his uncle and why this is such a betrayal that he had to try and understand and piece himself back together was brilliant to read.

I definitely can’t wait for the next instalment of this wonderful series.

C. R. Alam loves to write heartfelt and steamy love stories with strong yet vulnerable characters readers would root for. There hasn’t been a main character she’s written about whom she didn’t fall in love with despite their shortcomings. She’ll laugh with her characters, cry along with them, then laugh again in the end. When she’s not reading or writing, you’ll most likely find her in the kitchen, cooking, baking, or eating while wearing her trusted Birks, sweatpants, and “I’m emotionally attached to fictional characters” T-shirt. After a whirlwind decade of living abroad, C. R. now lives in Durham, NC, with her husband, daughter, and cat.

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hands down one of my favorite series’….The Innovator is book 3 of the WaterFyre Rising and I absolutely LOVED Grayson and Natalie’s story. I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning as the characters and stories intertwine. I can say I loved each book so far and the author does not disappoint with book 3.

Enemies to lovers….Grayson and Natalie are that…while Grayson is all business, focused and determined to succeed in all his projects, Natalie thinks that he is rude and arrogant. When a project puts Grayson and Natalie together to work as a team, it was a bit rocky at first. Both Grayson and Natalie have their own “secrets” and truly darkness overshadows their heart. When Grayson and Natalie finally get to know each other more of their truths….the walls around their hearts start to crumble. Sparks and hot sizzling moments along with intelligent and intellectual conversations, there is more to Grayson and Natalie than meets the eye. They both fall for each other, but when both of their pasts comes back to haunt them, will Grayson be able to protect Natalie when she needs him the most or will he self sabotage and push her away……

Definitely read and find out. This story is FANTASTIC!!!!!! If you love hot romance, drama with a twist of banter and suspense, I would HIGHLY recommend this series!! I am totally anticipating book 4!!

This was a lengthy book to read, but I felt that it was justified. The build-up was extremely well done and had me panting at some scenes. Cassandra had a dream. A dream to be one of the greatest aerialists in the world, even after she has lost both of her parents. She is taken under Chandler’s wing at the Dreamers Academy, and sparks fly between the both of them. The student/teacher forbidden trope was well written and has me wanting more! The plot twists were not was I expecting and had me rereading what I just read just to make sure I had read it correctly. I am waiting with bated breath on the next book to see where the story goes, after that terrible cliffhanger.

There is a caution with this book as it contains sexual content, profanity, and violence. Recommended for 18+.
I was happy to see the next book was out so jumped right in.
The Innovator is the third book in the WaterFyre Rising series. It is a forced proximity enemies to lovers tale. Even though this is the third book in the series each book can be read as standalones. This contemporary romance is a suspenseful tale with danger and dark secrets that may just destroy it all.
Gray was burned before and it is still leaving a bitter taste with him. He is safe from heartache as he has built walls around his heart with reinforced steel. Or so he thought.
Nat is out to save her family’s legacy but wonders if it is all worth it when you are working with an arrogant SOB. When tensions are at breaking point she discovers much more than she thought she would find. However, when danger comes calling who will help her?
I look forward to what comes next from Nadia.

Natalie Chapelle is more than she appears. Natalie is working for the city of Providence, trying to learn information about a building that her father left to her when he passed away, though she is not sure why he would have done so. What Natalie hopes nobody figures out is that the background that got her the job is all a lie, and she is really the heir and designer for a major fashion label in Europe, a family owned company called LaRue. When Natalie first meets Grayson Wu, an architect that is helping the city with a new project, sparks fly as the battle of wills and tempers begins nearly immediately. Both are attracted to one another, but it’s not until they are parent trapped into spending time alone together in a secluded location that they finally allow themselves to give into the lust they feel. Both of them are dealing with a lot of stress and pressure outside of the project they are working together on for the city, but they start a relationship that helps them to both feel more grounded and happy than they have in a long time. When Grayson’s outside business becomes more dangerous, he pushes her away to try and protect her, going as far as sending her back to Paris and her family (with some help) to try and protect her. Once the danger has passed, Grayson hopes to be able to convince Natalie to forgive him. This is a good quick read. It is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone, with plenty of sex and intrigue to keep you reading.

Multi-layered romance
This is book 3 in the Waterfyre Rising series and a worthy addition. Each books adds another element to the complexity that is Waterfyre. Grayson and Natalie are very strong characters, each with their own issues they need to face. The forced proximity, enemy to lovers aspect is woven into the suspenseful mystery storyline really well. ‘The Innovator’ is the third book in the fantastic ‘WaterFyre Rising’ series by Nadia Han. I love the way this series is building on itself. Even though each book has its own story and couple, all the books combined help to build a much bigger picture, giving us more morsels of information on the characters, backstories, arching storyline, and Waterfyre. The whole Waterfyre element is what really hooked me into the series in the first place, then add in some really intriguing characters and exciting storylines makes this series stands out from the crowd.
Since diving into book one and developing a taste for Nadia Hans work, I look forward to each new release to find out what she has in store for us (and the characters). Each new instalment slightly eclipses the previous one, which is proof, in my eyes, of a talented author.
This instalment is a bit of an enemies-to-lovers contemporary romantic suspense. A billionaire romance with drama, angst, tension, chemistry, sizzle, secrets, forced proximity, and contains sensitive topics/potential triggers for some readers (swearing, violence, the mention of suicide, grief, abuse, and eating disorders).
The story was a little slow to build momentum – but as the story progressed and the pace picked up- especially with all the added angst, sizzle, drama, and suspense unfolding, definitely grabbed my attention and held it right through till the end.
Looking forward to The Inquisitor’ (Book #4), it’s set to be even better yet…
Happy Reading!

Natalie and Grayson know of eachother because Natalie’s new besties are Grayson’s sister and her friends.

Natalie has come to the US for answers. She doesn’t need to work. She’s a very wealthy woman but she’s doing this under the radar to find out answers. Her fathers plane went down and she found out her father purchased a building for her. The building just so happens to be one Grayson is trying to buy for his latest project.

Natalie and Grayson have been in contact thru email / phone calls and Grayson has been giving her the brush off.
These two have ridiculous chemistry and they both know it. When they realize it, they make a deal. Whomever loses, steps back from what they want with the project. When they end up in a retreat with just the two of them, Natalie has a plan….will it work or will Grayson Wu be stronger then she thinks.

There’s alot of suspense and danger looming ahead. Are they ready for what secrets are exposed or what danger is about to come?

Great addition to the series.

Obedience (Ties That Bind Book #1) by Liza Snow – Review by Angela Hayes

ObedienceObedience by Liza Snow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Stars

Obedience is the first book in the Ties That Bind series by Liza Snow. It is a romantic suspense with an age gap, forbidden, dark, teacher/student trope, tension, slow-burn, chemistry, circus theme, mystery, steam, areal performers, Shibari binding, opposites attract, drama, and angst.
This is a story of longing, obsession, and obedience. A childhood outing to the circus sets off a yearning that soon borders on obsession. Turning from fan to protégé, past to present, darkness into danger- all while fulfilling fantasies. There are plenty of ingredients to make this a captivating read. But it is quite a slow-burn, which at times was very frustrating. Along with the fact that some of the transitions were quite abrupt, which invariably ‘pulled me out of the story’ every time it happened- making for a bit of a turbulent read. I also felt like the last third of the story was really drawn out and I found it hard to ‘stay immersed in the story’ and keep my mind from wandering. This book also ends on a cliffhanger- so everything is set to continue in the next instalment.
I did find the premise and characters intriguing, so I will need to read the next book to see where we go from here…
Happy Reading…

I truly loved this book. I have only read a few books that take place in a circus and every time I forget just how enchanting and complicated of a setting that is. In this story, Cirque de Lys is its own world and as the reader you are completely sucked into and captivated by it, at least I was. This world is full of suspense and twists and turns as well as an absolutely spellbinding romance. It includes super steamy scenes that it is easy to get lost in. This is definitely a book that builds up to its burn but when its over, you are dying for the next book. I know that I cannot wait to reenter the world of Cirque de Lys again.

When I first chose this book I didn’t realise it was as long as it was, which is great but I still wanted more, the second book can’t come fast enough!

I thought the setting of a circus was different and certainly a unique setting for the type of romance which starts to bloom.
The author’s descriptive writing made it easy to picture the scenery and I got caught up in the atmosphere which was created. The writing flowed well and make the book a lot more enjoyable.

I loved that this isn’t just a straightforward romance, there is mystery and suspense which really adds to the story. The cliffhanger just increases my impatience in my need for the next book to be released.
