I love a good sci-fi romance story and the cover already intrigued me….but this story had much more…action, danger, fighting for survival…
Mia is a human who is sold into slavery…and ends up being a fighter and trusts no one. Mia is strong and no holds bar in order to stay alive, and I love that about her character. She is totally relatable. Castor, an Atlantean, finds Mia and is at first not only to rescue her but is totally drawn to her. Things don’t always go according to plan, at first Mia does not believe in Castor and his rescue of her…until she puts some pieces together and finds out that Castor is truly there to help Mia. Castor and Mia have to team up and survive the dangers that come their way…..
This story flowed so easily and hard to put down. I am looking forward to reading more from this author!

Amazing book I ever read. See I am the type that loves fantasies like vampires, wolves, demons, and angels but this book is far different I love how Mia fights every day for her life. Inspiring women figure that her life was bad at first but then she turned it around but love can take you for a spin. Would love to save you or put you back in danger? But what about Castor? He tells Mia that he came for her. Mia is no dumbing…

Swift and full of action! This book was bursting full of dramatic, lethal fighting sequences. The strong, brave heroine who has a quick tongue makes it hard to not instantly like her. That coupled with her newly-found bond to a mysterious alien made the plot so much more exciting.

Mia is a woman who hasn’t had a lot of luck over the last few years, she has been kidnaped, tortured and now she is fighting for her life in an arena on Planet Nod which is run by a sadistic individual who runs an arena where Mia has to fight to the death everyday, but she is damn good at it and has become a fan favourite. The fact that she has survived all of this is a miracle, but it has changed her, however, she has never forgotten the dream of escaping and trying to go back to her old life, but it has felt so far away for a long time that she has resigned herself to her fate, but one day that all changes.
Castor is an Atlantean and his race have been reclusive, but he is about to bring them into the light and become a bit of a spectacle when he goes to liberate her, however, he soon comes to realise that this will not be as simple as he first planned. When Castor and Mia first lay eyes on each other, they cannot look away and this is something neither of them expected and it is this that leads them into trouble as Castor’s plan goes awry and the two end up thrown together in the arena and have to make a decision in order to survive, although Mia does not trust easily and she doesn’t believe that Castor is meant to be her saviour, she can’t.
The owner of the arena decides that both Mia and Castor are going to have to fight in the ultimate fighting challenge and battle for their survival, so as she explains just what they have gotten themselves into and how this challenge works, they both devise an escape plan, but while this is all happening, they cannot deny that there is a growing attraction between them, no matter how much they try, it is at this point that Castor realises that Mia is his soulmate, but Mia is shocked and struggles to accept it.
Will Castor and Mia be able to escape the arena before the big battle or will death come before escape and how will their bond as fated mates get in the way, or enable them to overcome the odds stacked against them? This is a fast paced fantasy where the odds are against everyone and danger lies around every turn which will draw you in and keep you invested all the way through.

Castor’s Kiss is book two in the Soul Bonded in the Stars Series. It is packed full of action and emotions that you simply cannot put the book down. The relationship between Castor and Mia is truly breathtaking and are a perfect match. Everything about the book will leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. Mia is a complete badass and Castor is a fighter, and both would protect each other to the death. The author did an amazing job at describing the scenery and the other-worldly creatures. Ends with a slight cliffhanger and I cannot wait until book 3.

This book was such a addictive read, I could not put this one down, I was pulled into the story at the very beginning and I was held through all the way till the book concluded The book was epic!
Sci-fi? Check. Romance? Check. A love that was meant to be even how much you want to fight it? Check. Everything that perfectly into the story? Very much check! I loved this book. The sci-fi romance was very well done. I loved Mia personally. She was strong and resilient. Tough and never gave up even when she endured the worst possible. How she didn’t trust Castor and his words, was believable as well as understandable. The book was a lot more than just a woman trying to find herself and love It was so much ore than that, there was epic suspense too. The dangers were not far. Just because you find warm arms, does not mean harms way is gone for good. The twists and the turns this book produced was effect and well done. I fell in love with the characters so easily. I could not put this down. I loved it very much.
Such an amazing read that gave a lot to the reader. The author is very talented for sure! I would highly recommend reading this book as well as more by this author! Defiantly a must read book/series!

Castor’s Kiss is an action packed story, that I hope is the start to a series. It seemed to be wrapping up nicely for a good HEA. However, it continued and ended in quite a cliff hanger. The book follows Mia and Castor, and is action packed. Mia was captured and is forced to be a fighter for entertainment. Castor is sent to rescue her. Before they even meet, they have a strong connection that evolves throughout the book. The story gave me a bit of a star wars feel, since it is filled with different types of alien type humans, each described as different color skin and different skills. The world building is wonderful and the characters are well written. I look forward to reading more and getting to know the other characters. I hope Nox and Phoenix get their own books, as they each sound like there is a lot to tell about them. I also would enjoy a prequel to learn more about Mia and Castor’s life prior to this book.

This is book 2 in this series. The FMC was kidnapped and forced into a fighting situation when her HEA meets her. They band together to get her safe. Full of action and fast paced this book was a great story that will keep your interest from the beginning. Will definitely be going back to the first book to start from the beginning of the series (but you don’t need to)!

What a great story! I admit I have not read many alien stories because I felt they wouldn’t appeal to me. I think that is why this one surprised me so much. The actual storyline is so full of action that half the time I forgot this was an alien world. As for the characters they are amazing! Mia is unbelievably strong! Mental and physical. She just really stole the show! I loved her attitude and strength! Castor was something else. His fighting skills, kindness and loyalty are what impressed me about him the most.
This is the second book in the series and I gather a lot of excitement happened in book 1. We do happen to see the characters from that story. I have not read it and this one does well as a standing alone. I am pleased that I took a chance on this story. While I love romance this has a lot more suspense and drama. That made me turn the pages quicker and quicker. I would read more in this series.

Ok so I found this book and was in the mind set of branching out in my comfort zone of what I like to read. So I went in completely blind on this one all I knew was it was a Sci-fi Romance, and not my normal reading pleasure. But boy am I incredibly glad I took this leap of faith because this book had me completely captured from start to finish. Mia is a character that I will remember for a long time. Each character was so easy to connect with, them simply pull you into their world and you don’t want to leave. I’m so happy I found this author and can’t wait for more. Five huge stars and highly recommended.

The second book in the Soul Bonded series is Castor’s Kiss. This book is a Sci-Fi and Romance all rolled up into one. Tai James ability to draw me to this book with her storytelling ability. She has just the right amount of Sci-Fi, romance, and adventure to keep the story moving. Her characters are fully developed and complicated. This is Mia’s story. She has been kidnapped and has to fight to the death. She is put into an arena where she has become the crowd’s favorite brawler. Castor is on a mission to rescue Mia. Will Castor complete the mission? Will Castor and Mia have a future with each other? I highly recommend this book if you are looking for some action and adventure.

Soulmates, warriors and universal battles. This is my first book by Tai James and it’s a well written story about forming alliances, battling for your life and the budding romance between two people, An adventure of a different kind. This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone. I found this story to be fast paced and engaging. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story. There are twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and had me wanting to read more. A story where love will either survive or will it be the weakness that could get them killed. I really enjoyed reading this book.

This was an amazing book that left me on the edge of my seat needing to know what happens next. I laughed, I was brought to tears, I became angry at what they had to endure, pretty much I was a hot mess for this entire book but I would recommend it to everyone!
Mia, our female main character/champion if you will, has not had an easy time of things. After being tortured, left for dead, then found and forced to fight other beings to earn credits and glory for her captor. Trust doesn;t come easy, she is bitter and unaffected just fighting to stay alive until partnered with someone she can’t sit idly by and watch die. This may turn out to be her saving grace after all her future is unpredictable. Enter Castor who makes a deal with Throl to earn Mia’s freedom, but what Throl has in mind ensures little chance of survival for either of them. As they must now fight as a team, feelings build and they learn they are soul mates not yet bonded but the more they are together the stronger the bond becomes. Can Mia learn to trust Castor when all past experiences have led to heartache and pain? Can they work through their own pasts and beliefs to not only make it out of these trials alive but potentially build a future? Lastly, can they make it out alive to even have a chance at a future?
This book is a must read to answer all these questions and more. There are so many twists and turns in this book including characters you hate and then something changes and you might hate them a little less. If you like romance novels with a hunger game-like twist then this book is right up your alley. It doesn’t even seem like five stars could ever be enough for this good of a book, I am in awe of what this author produced and now must venture out to see what other gems they have produced.

Castor’s Kiss is a great science fiction romance about two people that find each other. Mia Grey has been tortured and watched someone close to her die. Castor has forced himself not to have a soulmate because his family didn’t believe in things like that. They meet and their attraction is instant the second they lock eyes. This book has action, drama and romance. Mia and Castor get into battle with other people that are enemies. The fight scenes are great and detailed, letting me picture what the conflicts are in my head. The author does a great job with world building by creating futuristic planets for the book and different characters that are unique for the story. I recommend anyone who loves sci-fi and enjoys romance to read Castor’s Kiss. This book is a great example of true love and how there is someone out there for everyone. Reviewed by @cw31

The second book in the series, Castor’s Kiss is easy to get hooked into. I love how Mia was working through a lot of emotions from the start and at the same time trying to keep De’ara alive and give her hope. It make it so easy to want to continue reading. The scene where Castor firsts spots Mia and Mia finally spots him was magic! I could understand Mia not trusting Castor right away with all the torture and fighting she needed to do to keep alive. The author did a great job of detailing each species and their differences while keeping the story moving along. I really enjoy reading sci-fi books and this one didn’t disappoint.

I often find fantasy/sci-fi books more difficult to get into while trying to learn other-worldly creatures and scenery, but the author did a great job of seamlessly introducing different species into the story line without taking away from the gist of it. Having not read the first book in this series, I was still able to easily assimilate the characters and worlds depicted.
Mia, having been tortured and sold into slavery as a fighter, struggles to hold onto any hope of escape from a world that’s become kill or be killed. When Castor shows up and says he’s come to rescue her on behalf of her old crew, who were presumed dead, she’s lost and out of trust for others. When he’s tossed into the fighting scene, as well, in hopes of helping Mia find a safe escape, the two learn it’s going to take them both to get out of the mess they’re in.
As a big Hunger Games fan, I found a few themes that were definitely very similar: Mia is forced into fighting for her life and excels at it and then becomes a “favorite” among spectators who can watch live or via feeds from cameras buzzing around; the planet on which she’s held captive is populated by creatures who are known for “enhancements” to their appearance; Mia and Castor are forced into a “contest” on a different planet with rumored beastly creatures that they must survive along with fighting the other competitors to the death. Despite those obvious similarities to the Hunger Games, Castor’s Kiss has a lot more to the story than those themes.
I found the book to be engaging, more action-packed than expected, and quite thrilling to read. Both Mia and Castor are unaware of a soul bond between them until they meet, and all of the fears, insecurities, and trying to decide how they feel about the bond and what it means for them individually and as a couple in the future felt very realistic for anyone experiencing a strong romantic connection with another. The entire book, although obviously fictitious, had a realness to it that speaks volumes for the author’s ability to weave a story that’s believable in completely unbelievable circumstances and situations.

I have to say alien romance was not a thing I thought I’d like but I’ve read a few recently where I was pleasantly surprised. Happy to have dipped my toe into this romance trope recently.
I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers aspect of this book and the way the main characters fought their attraction to each other. As this is sci-fi based I did give the insta-connection a bit of leeway that I wouldn’t have normally enjoyed in a romance, but there were times I did think the connection overriding what the characters wanted and would normally do took it a little too far.
I did love the “trials” aspect that we see here. I thought the fighting was very well done. Not sure how realistic it was for a woman with a description of being around 5 foot to be beating all these preternaturally strong foes, but again, sci-fi; we do what we want.
I overall enjoyed the romance aspect. I didn’t think it was too over the top or that the intimacy was forced. I think both characters came with their own baggage about relationships and making connections, and despite their “soulmate” attraction to one another pushing them to be together they did it on their own terms.
Did not read book 1 and this book does mention quite a bit of stuff about the background of the main characters from book 1, so highly recommend reading it, but I thought the author did a good job sussing out the information here so as to make it enough of a standalone. Obviously easter eggs though as it gives away a lot of information, especially Castor (talkative bugger).
Recommend this for normal alien romance readers and newbies to the trope alike!

This book kept me on my toes the entire time. It was exhilarating, to say the least. Castor and Mia are an amazing couple and this being the first book I have read of the series it took me a second to catch on and actually be pulled in because it isn’t the typical book that I would read. It was amazing though, the action, the details of the characters and you could visualize it as well. Curve balls kept being given as well. You’d think the book was going to level out about 50% of the way through then nope something edging happens. Mia is a human, Castor isn’t but what they become is something that I feel you only get once in a lifetime. I can’t wait to read the next one.

When I picked up this book I was really unsure what to expect. I’m not a huge sci-fi reader especially a sci-fi romance novel. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was definitely a fresh take on romance. Mia who was enslaved by the scrivians, traded to Throl and forced to fight for her life in the arena and Castor an Atlantean ghost with a huge military career are fated soul mates and meant to be together, but how ? Especially if he keeps throwing himself in harms way to protect her. Castors kiss pulled me in from the first page and kept me reading until the end because I just couldn’t wait to see how it would end. It was an incredibly fast-paced, quick read, I finished it in two days.

Determined and a strong fighter she becomes favorite but she dreams to escape. Enter Castor whos been sent to retrieve her and return her to her people… but fate has a suprise for both of them, they are soulmates. This bond opens up a possible new future and the key to their success of living away from the clutches of Throl. These two characters haven’t known love; only survival, can they be vulnerable enough to let love into their lives? This is my first book with this author and I was not disappointed. A must read!

This novel stole a couple days of my time and I am not at all mad about it. Once I started reading it, it was nearly impossible to put down. This book has it all: action, sci-fi, romance, and suspense. On top of the amazing plot, the characters are incredible. I still cannot decide if I prefer Mia or Castor because they are both loveable in their own ways.
This book can be read as a stand alone, but I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you go back and read the first in this series. This author knows how to captivate a reader and steal a couple hours of your time. Before you know it, it is midnight and your partner is asking why you are still up reading.

Castor’s Kiss: Soul Bonded in the Stars Book 2 by Tai James
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Castor’s Kiss is an amazing read and you’ll be hooked from the beginning. This is the second book in the Soul Bonded in the Stars Series. It can be read as a standalone.
Mia has been taken from her team. She’s not sure she’ll ever see them again. She fears the worst and thinks her team is dead. When she meets Castor she doesn’t want to let her guard down. The quote I chose for Mia is: “You’re in really bad shape. What did you do? Sense I was upset and drag yourself out of your hospital bed to come to save me?”
Castor goes to do a rescue mission. He thinks Mia will be let free but that isn’t the case. Now he’s got to figure out how to get them both out of there alive. Can he do that without getting himself killed. The quote I chose for Castor is: “You are lovable, Mia Grey. So very lovable. Stop thinking the worst. I know it’s a lot for you to open yourself up to this kind of love. I know that you’re vulnerable, but I’m asking you to stop being afraid . If you really think about it, do you believe I would want you to ever leave my side unless it was for a good reason? I love you. Please, don’t shut me out.”

I really enjoyed this book. I was a little lost at first because I haven’t read the first book and it showed in parts of the story. I could tell I was missing details of past events. But once I got past that, I really liked it. The storyline was good and I really liked the characters.

This was a good Sci-fi romance story. You meet Mia who literally fights everyday for her life. She has a hope that one day she can be free. Free of her bonds and free from the fighting. In walks Castor. He turns her world upside down. She is not trusting of this man who makes her feel all of these different feelings and supposedly has come to save her. Does she trust him? Absolutely not, but what he promises is so tempting she can almost taste it. The story was written very well and I enjoyed every minute of it. I’m excited to see what else this author has to bring to the Sci-Fi romance genre.

Castor’s Kiss is the second book in the Soul Bonded In the Stars series by Tai James. I love a good sci-fi romance, so when this popped up on my book notifications, I didn’t hesitate, immediately one-clicking a copy and jumping right in. Tai James is a new-to-me author, so I was excited to see what she could do. This is a great fated mates sci-fi romance, with a bit of a slower burn- some action, adventure, chemistry, danger, intrigue, and battle for survival. Mia had been kidnapped, tortured, and then tossed into the arena where she has to fight to the death. Her wins, tenacity, and determination to survive soon sees her become a crowd favourite- but Mia worries that with each battle she loses more of her humanity. Castor is an Atlantean on a mission to rescue Mia. But things don’t quite go according to plan, and they’ll need to team up and fight the odds together in order to survive. What does fate have in store for them? Will they find a future together? I’m not going to ruin the story by giving too much away- but encourage you to read all the intriguing developments for yourself. The story is well woven and kept me avidly reading the whole way through. The characters are well-developed with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws. I will definitely be devouring the rest of this series- can’t wait! Happy reading!

This story was a good one! I like sci fi stories, so when this one popped up, i jumped at the opportunity to read it! Mia grey is the main character and she went through ALOT! She is strong and learned to make the best of her situation by fighting and winning. Castor is our other main character. He is sent to help Mia escape but he now has to deal with the same issues she is stuck in. Together they make a great team but they must escape to stay alive! I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading more by this author!! Happy Reading!

Castor’s Kiss by Tai James is the second book in the Soul Bonded in the Stars series but can be read as a stand alone if wanted. I for one am going to go back and read the first book Phoenix’s Touch because I am here for this alien world she has so brilliantly created. I gotta tell you I love kick ass strong-willed female characters who takes what life throws at them and fights to make it through it, instead of giving up. Also the action in this book is 😗👌 (Chef kiss). I will definitely telling people to read this series🥰

I have to say this is this the first time reading this author. I wish I had the first installment of this series, with that said I still jumped into this book and really enjoyed it. This author created a world that was understandable without reading the first book. It was easy to fall in love with these characters. Mia is a well-developed character, and one of the best female main characters I’ve read. Castor being put in Mia’s world adds to the twists and turns in this book. I will be going back and reading the first book as well as other books to come from this author.

I absolutely love a strong, asskicking, take no prisoners FMC. Mia delivers, but not only that she also has a soft side. Even strong women need to be loved……that’s when we meet Castor, her soul mate.
The thing that I loved most about this book is the suspense. Everytime you think, okay now she’s saved BAM, something new and more terrible happens. Great second book from an amazing series.
