Castor’s Kiss is the second book in the Soul Bonded In the Stars series by Tai James. I love a good sci-fi romance, so when this popped up on my book notifications, I didn’t hesitate, immediately one-clicking a copy and jumping right in.
Tai James is a new-to-me author, so I was excited to see what she could do. This is a great fated mates sci-fi romance, with a bit of a slower burn- some action, adventure, chemistry, danger, intrigue, and battle for survival.
Mia had been kidnapped, tortured, and then tossed into the arena where she has to fight to the death. Her wins, tenacity, and determination to survive soon sees her become a crowd favourite- but Mia worries that with each battle she loses more of her humanity.
Castor is an Atlantean on a mission to rescue Mia. But things don’t quite go according to plan, and they’ll need to team up and fight the odds together in order to survive. What does fate have in store for them? Will they find a future together? I’m not going to ruin the story by giving too much away- but encourage you to read all the intriguing developments for yourself.
The story is well woven and kept me avidly reading the whole way through. The characters are well-developed with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws. I will definitely be devouring the rest of this series- can’t wait!
Happy reading!

Thank you, Tai James!
