Although this book is the 5th in the series it can easily be read as a standalone story. This is a second chance romance that is fast paced and quite exciting. This is the kind of story I really like and I have to say I loved the part the band had to play within this. Initially, I didn’t fully connect with the characters. However, as the story went on I found myself warming to them much more. I enjoyed watching their development throughout the book and by the end I was fully engaged with them. This was a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Hot for Me is Book Four in The Balefire Series that is focused on the rock band, Balefire. It is a contemporary romance novel that tells the story of Cristy and Adam who are members of Balefire. Cristy is sex on heels, loves attention, and grabs headlines wherever she goes. When she goes on tour with the band, she immediately grabs Adam’s attention as well. Cristy loves to flirt with Adam and is equally attracted to him but enjoys the attention he gives her, and it takes awhile before she gives in to her primal urges. Adam wants more but Cristy does not want or need a relationship. She has demons from her past that she is unable to get past and they threaten to ruin any future she has.
This book was exquisitely written with a fascinating storyline, intriguing characters and vivid scene descriptions that fully immerse you into the story. It is told from the POV of both Adam and Cristy, so you experience their feelings and emotions along with them. The chemistry and attraction between Adam and Cristy sizzles off the pages. Adam is a Rockstar who wants more than a casual fling, but Cristy cannot offer him more because of her past secrets. Any relationship that Adam and Cristy may have seems doomed to fail because of not only those secrets but numerous external forces as well. Interfering managers, fans, gossip sites, and paparazzi all play a part in keeping the couple apart. The author takes us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with Adam and Cristy as they try to navigate through their relationship. Stay for Me is Book Five in The Balefire Series that is focused on the rock band, Balefire. It is a contemporary romance novel that tells the story of Garrett and Olivia who broke up ten years prior. Garrett chose to leave Olivia to pursue a career in the music industry managing a rock band. He has always regretted breaking it off with Olivia so when fate gives him a second chance, he does not want to do anything to mess it up. Olivia has worked hard over the past ten years to become a Hollywood music video director and has moved past her breakup with Garrett. When her studio is hired by rock band Balefire fate brings Garrett back into her life and Olivia is not happy about it. She does not trust Garrett to not hurt her again.
This book was well written and told from both Olivia and Garrett’s POV, so we can experience what each character is thinking and feeling. The characters are well written and relatable, and it is easy to empathize with both. Garrett comes across as a bit of a jerk at times, but we can see but we are able to see him grow and mature. He knows that he made a mistake ten years ago by walking away from the best thing that happened to him and he is willing to do whatever it takes to win her back. Olivia is smart, hard working and driven to succeed. Garrett hurt her immensely and she has worked hard to put that part of her life behind her. When he reenters her life, she is naturally wary of him and does not want to get hurt again. This was a well written second chance romance with passion, love and loss, drama, angst, chemistry, and a second chance at love.

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which had me gripped from start to finish. Although it’s part of a series it can be read as a standalone story, however the characters do crossover as each book focuses on a different member of the Balefire rock band. This is manager Garrett’s story with a second chance at love theme, with Olivia. Ten years ago Garrett chose “his boys” over her, now she’s a Hollywood music video director, and her next client is the biggest rock band on the planet – Balefire. If her studio wasn’t loosing money then she would turn it down rather than have to work with the man who broke her heart. For Garrett managing Balefire has come at personal costs, especially loosing Olivia, the one women he’s ever loved. Seeing her again brings back memories and he’s determined not to loose her again. Garrett is trying to convince Olivia that he’s a changed man and knows what he wants, her. However, Olivia is not convinced that it can work, or that she can trust him to choose her this time. The chemistry between Garrett and Olivia sizzles off the page and leads to some steamy scenes. I loved how their relationship developed throughout the story, and the descriptive narrative brought the world of rock band Balefire vividly to life!

Stay for Me was good. I enjoyed it. The yo-yoing back and forth between band and manager was a little much. But then again that’s what happens when one jumps into a series during book 5 vs at the beginning. Did this book work as a standalone? Absolutely! However I might’ve understood the animosity more if I read the other 4 first. Which is something I know I’m going to look into. Walking away from the one he loved destroyed Garrett, and despite the animosity between him and the band, they wanted to make it right. However all they could do is get Garrett and Olivia into a room together, the rest was on them. To find what they left behind 10 years earlier. Of course no romance comes without some sort of painful drama. Which the empath in me brought a tear to my eye. It felt over. It felt final. Of course it wasn’t the end of the book yet, so I knew anything could happen. It just pulled at the heartstrings. When an author can make you feel, doesn’t that show they wrote something wonderful? Start right here, or start at the beginning. But don’t question that this author has something worth exploring. A take on things to make reader’s emotional. Which to me makes reading all that more enjoyable.

This was a good 4 star read. I am really enjoying this series and this book pulled me right in. I really enjoyed the characters. Garrett had to make some choices early on in his career that were not easy. Years later he starts to realize what he gave up. Fate steps in and he runs into Olivia, the one that he destroyed with his choices. Olivia has a great career directing music videos, of course her new video is for the band that Garrett manages. Will Garrett be able to capture Olivia’s heart again? Or will he lose her again? Overall I really enjoyed this read. My emotions were all over the place. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. You can read this book as a stand alone but I suggest reading from the start so you are familiar with all of the characters. An amazing read with wonderful character. Tam does a great job of bringing up real-world problems in this book.
This book follows the story of Adam and Cristy. Adam is the bassist for one of the largest rock bands in the world. He has a plethora of women that want him and want even a minute of his time. Cristy is a pop singer that does not do real relationships. Most are ones of convenience that benefit her and the other person.
When Adam’s band asks Cristy to join them on tour a lot happens. Her confidence is alluring and draws him in along with most of the crowds they play for. Adam is steady and helps keep the pace for the band but now this little vixen has started to shake things up.
Can the bad boy rocker catch the eye of the beloved pop star? What happens when you add heat and a long tour? Will past secrets stay hidden or threaten everything for one of them?
Read to find out if they can overcome hurdles or if they are just having fun. This book is steamy so I suggest you have some water to help cool you off.

This was an amazing read and a hard book to put down. Tam did an amazing job at developing the characters throughout the story. I do suggest that you read the other books in the series first but can be read without reading them.
This book follows the story of Olivia, a career-driven and determined woman. She relies on no one but herself and does not need a man. Enter Garrett a ghost from a past that she has tried hard to forget. As the manager of one of the most famous rock bands, Garrett has a lot on his plate. When by some chance they are brought back together a lot happens.
Garett is a man trying to make the band he works for stay relevant. This leads him to the chance of a lifetime. Meeting up with the woman who got away and took a piece of him with her. One thing about managing a rock band from before they were a household name has made him relentless.
What happens when the past comes back to haunt them? Can you forgive someone that destroyed a part of you that you never gave anyone else? What happens when stubborn meets strong-willed and hard-headed? Is he too late and she has found someone new?
Read this book to find out what happens between these two lost loves. Don’t forget to grab a glass of water in case things heat up between the old flames.

I’m such a sucker for a second chance romance. This book is number 5 in the series and can be read as a stand alone. ( I wonder if I would’ve liked it better if so didnt know about the characters ) I had a strong dislike for Garrett from the beginning. Here he is living the life he always wanted when a blast from his past is right there in front of him. It’s 10 years later And now they are expected to work Closely. Can it be done? Garrett definitely regrets how everything ended. Olivia knows the gang well has known them since before they were a huge rockband. Garrett spends a lot of time regretting his decisions he made almost 10 years ago. This book had plenty of heat and happy moments. I just dont like the character of Garrett There are plenty of the same characters in this book as the previous ones. This is another great book in the series.

I enjoyed this book and it was a quick read. Garrett was a little frustrating in the beginning of the book for me. It took me a while to get invested in the story but once I did, it flowed pretty well. Garrett and Olivia’s chemistry was good. I always love a good second chance story. This book is book five of the series. While this book can be read as a standalone, there are reoccurring characters and it would be good to read from the beginning. I didn’t read in order and I don’t feel like I missed anything major. It was a good book though and I’m sure the rest of the series is so I need to go back and read the others.
Garrett did what he thought he needed to do for his career. He is managing Balefire and ten years ago, building his career meant giving up Olivia. Now the band is all settling down and Garrett realizes what he’s missing. Like the universe knew it was time, he runs into Olivia. Only now, he’s not giving up. Garrett walking away just about killed Olivia. Now though, she’s making it or at least trying to. Directing music videos is her passion. The only problem is her studio isn’t doing so well. Directing a video for Balefire would make a world of difference. The only problem with that is Garrett. Will these two put the past behind them? Will Garrett choose Olivia this time?
I really enjoyed this book. It was a good read. I was a little annoyed with Garrett at the beginning because he seemed very whiny that the guys were all settling down and actually took their women’s opinions into account. The annoyance does fade though and I’m glad I gave the book a chance. It was a good read and I enjoyed following Garrett’s development as a character.

This was a fast paced romance. It will open many emotions and leave you wanting to read more of this series. This story is a stand-alone but, reading the series only opens your feelings and those we try to avoid. This author is no longer new to me. Her love for rock music is what makes this story fun and easy to follow. I enjoyed reading this story and will be going back to read the others.

Garrett has managed the biggest Rock band for almost ten years, but over the past few years he has done things he is not proud of which has made his trust with the band shaky at times but he excuses have always been for the good of the band. Garrett has loved the lifestyle and enjoys the single, young guy status but Garrett has had his regrets and one was the woman he left behind all those years ago to manage the band, but he has never really loved anyone else but her.
Olivia is at the top of her career, getting the gig of directing the Grammy’s is a once in a lifetime thing and she has to pinch herself, the only thing is she will see the man who walked out on her ten years ago and took her heart with him, choosing a group of young rock stars instead of her, hurts more than he will ever know. But, when Olivia gets a request to direct the new video for Balefire is he prepare to see Garrett and will all the old feelings come back. She has learnt to hide things can she hide the love still burning in her heart for this man.
OMG, I am not the biggest Garret fan but I loved this story of love and lost and the fairy-tale that can come true. Did he deserve to get Olivia back into his life, NO but to be fair the more I read of the book the more I actually warmed to Garrett and you get to understand the reasons behind all the things he did. I loved the characters of Olivia with her sassy, kick ass side to her but underneath all the glamour and armour still was still that lost girl hurt by the love of her life.
This was a brilliant well paced and written story, which if you have not read the series from the start can be read as a stand alone story but I recommend reading the whole series as you get the full view of Garrett and what he has done and how everything fits in. The relationship between him and the band in the end was lovely to read and how they understood his sacrifices that he took at the beginning and was a great end to the story.
Thank you for a brilliant series and a fitting ending to this series and pulling Garrett out of the idiot section to the AHHH section.

Adam Tron is part of the biggest rock band of the century and as such can have his choice of woman but as his friends in the band are slowly finding there futures he is feeling a bit lost at the moment. Although he has a plan that hopefully will bringing with the woman who has dreamed about for a while now but never approach.
Christy Valor has overcome a lot in her life to get to the heights of the Pop world, so when one of the hottest Rock bands asks her to come and tour for some of there dates she jumps at the chance, although full of sass and seduction she is really looking forward to Tron, his bass speaks to her and if his music anything to go by he would be a brilliant lover, a bit of fun for the tour.
Although they strike up a relationship on the road, Adam feels like there is a secret with Christy that she is not comfortable sharing, yet. But, we need to get through Adam’s manager and Christy’s Manager who seem it is there right to sabotage the relationship from the beginning.
This is the first book I have read in this series and it can be read as a stand alone book, but I am determine to see how each of the other band members find there awesome women. This story is full of pace and you delve straight into the action from the first chapter.
I love the characters of Adam and Christy, as they gel well together and the chemistry which sparks of the age makes you want to keep turning the page to see where the story takes you. There are also great secondary characters with the sense of a family with the band comes off the page and you get the feeling of care and protection from them. I have to say I could have crawled into book and punched the manager Garrett but in the end you do have a sense of sadness for him but not much, Lol.
I can’t wait to read the next book and the books before this ones, as you have made a fan of me.

I have to be honest, I really wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy this book going in, as I wasn’t a fan of Garrett as he’d been a bit of jerk in the past (books). So, I was prepared to not like this book at all. But Ms. DeRudder Jackson surprised me and won me over through the course of the story. Ten years ago, Garret made the biggest mistake of his life. I never miss a book by this author and I’m glad to see the series continuing! I love everything about Tam DeRudder Jackson’s writing. The way she pulls you in and makes you completely forget about what’s going on around you. The world she creates encapsulates you so quickly that you don’t even realize what happened. Garrett broke Olivia’s heart years ago when he chose his career over his future love life with her. He says he has never forgotten her, but she’s not falling for it quite so easily. Fool me once! Olivia used that pain as fuel to get her name recognized as a music video director, but it’s starting to flame out. Will she give him a chance to show her what he’s made of, or has the pain of him leaving left her too devastated to try? I highly recommend picking up not only this book, but the entire Balefire series!

This is the second book in the Balefire series that I have read, but it is the fifth in the series. This book is so well written and it sucks you right in. This book features Garret, who is definitely the one member of Balefire I have had a hard time warming up to. However, this time it gives some insight into his personality and demeanor. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I enjoy her writing skills that make her stories come to life and her characters pop off the pages. This book is no different. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. The characters pull you into their world with ease and keep you there until the end. They are strong, supportive characters that have great growth and chemistry. They add so much to the story. This is a fast paced, easy and entertaining romance story where Garrett and Olivia have a second chance at love. Their story is one of healing and forgiving. I found myself hoping they would get their happy ending. You don’t want to miss what happens with these two for sure. I highly recommend this book and this author.

The story is told in dual POV. I had mixed feelings about Garrett but he is shed in a whole new light in his story. Don’t get me wrong there are still moments when I want to smack him.
Garrett is hoping for a second chance after the biggest mistake he made 10 years ago.
Being in need means taking on the biggest rock band in the industry. Only along with them comes their manager the one who left me behind. Has the man changed and can he be trusted?

Wow!!! This talented author just keeps creating such wonderful characters and storylines again and again!! This book had me hooked right from the start and turning page after page with excitement because I just had to know what was going to happen for Garrett and Olivia. It was so great to get to read the story of Garrett, a character who up until now I really did not like at all, and learn more about him and understand a little more about why he did the things he did in the previous books in this fantastic series. If you haven’t read the previous books don’t worry you can read this and thoroughly enjoy it just like I did BUT do yourself a favour and read the whole series. You will not be disappointed!!!

Tam Derudder Jackson has such a way with pulling you into the book. She’ll have you falling in love with the characters and the situations as the characters are spending their time falling in love. It is always nice to have a standalone book but it’s even better when you get the references from other books in this series. The Balefire series always has you coming back for more. Will Garrett and Olivia finally be together and happily? Read this great story and find out what you are missing.

Garrett and Olivia get the second chance at romance that they should have had. Garrett has gotten a reputation for being a putz with the ladies in the band (the guy’s gals). They aren’t too fond of him. Now Garrett has found Olivia and is wanting to win her back. It’s a long road for them but to watch them work on it is kind of a redeeming road. You are glad to see what happens. A romance that will have you feeling the emotions and enjoy seeing old faces in the story. Entertaining and fun, serious and romantic, a definite must-read.

Rogue is the sixth book in The Talisman series by Tam DeRudder Jackson and is my first time to read a book from this author. This is a paranormal romance with quite a bit of steamy romance, deceit, magic action, mythology and so much more! Baz (the main character) finds out about a huge lie that has been hidden from him and now he’s not too sure about his life choices and about the path that his life is on. As a rogue warrior, he has definitely had his fair shares of going to hell and back and now finds himself wrapped up in the middle of a supernatural battle. He also discovers that there are some high stakes and things are not looking good at all. Delany (other main character) is a talisman-warrior who happens to also be a hybrid, has found herself doing nothing but protecting her warrior community for as long as she can remember. She has now found herself in a unique predicament, not only has she been kidnapped, but she also has to fight her fatal attraction to the ‘enemy’. Will sparks fly or will she be able to accomplish her task at hand and be able to defeat her enemy? This book actually happens to be the sixth book in a series, I read it as a stand-alone book, but I really suggest reading the rest of the books that come before this one. There were times when I found myself very lost and confused. Now I will say that the book was entertaining, I just felt like there were times when things weren’t described or refreshed from the previous books. But nonetheless, great job to Tam!

Rogue (The Talisman Series) by Tam DeRudder Jackson
While this is a 6th book in the series, its my first read by this author. The story was action packed and very well written. The characters Baz and Delaney have almost instant chemistry and that makes the story really hard to put down. They draw you into their world and keep you wanting more. I am definitely a fan and eager to read all of the other books in this series.

I have read a couple of books from this author and she always blows my mind on the stories she writes. This book is part of the very addictive Talismen series. You can read this book as a stand alone but it could be a little hard to understand if you don’t read the whole series in order. I was so excited for this book so I started it right away. I could not put it down until the end. Now I can’t wait to see what is next in this series.
Baz never wanted to be a rogue but he had no choice. He is being forced to defend his ruler and he doesn’t want to. Baz finds out that his ruler has been lying to him so she can stay safe. He forms a plan to get out of that hell. Baz finds himself in a new world and then he takes the beautiful Delaney. He wants to get to know her but he knows it is very dangerous and so is she. Baz doesn’t understand what he feels but I don’t want to let it go. Will Baz and Delaney get the freedom they want or will they both end up in danger?

Newly obsessed reader of author Tam DeRudder Jackson. After reading the first book of this series (Talisman) I became a real big fan. I totally started reading more of her stories including the previous one in this series and the Balefire series. She is an amazing writer, this story was filled with wild action, exciting paranormal beings and a lot of passion between fated mates Baz and Delaney. Even with the odd betting and pitted against them they end up being a perfect pair for each other. And can I say the Morrigan is a real piece of work. A highly recommended read. And again the cover 😍🥵
