My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Moonlight and Belladonna: A Small Town Halloween Romance (Hartwood Holiday Romance) by Jae Dawson. I loved this book. Its fun, dramatic and sexy. Its the story of Belladonna Pagano a art teacher who is Italian and very outspoken. She is having to put on a Halloween play that will wow the school board or she will be gone. Cade Owens is a rock star and lead singer for the band Burning Umbrage. He is sexy, talented and has a lot of baggage but that helps in the way of songwriting but not so much in relationships. When Cade has a run in with the law he has to preform community service and this is where he meets Bella. There are immediate sparks but Bella is in no way wanting a relationship and she’s not about one night stands. Bella wants to concentrate on her students and her mom but the pull towards Cade is strong. Will Bella and Cade let down their walls and chance romance? Read Moonlight and Belladonna to find out!

Soul's Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween ThemeSoul’s Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Theme by Erin Lee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Soul’s Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Anthology. All I can say is you better hold on to your britches! This anthology will have you sleeping with one eye open and you won’t want to put it down until you are finished. One of my favorite books was Karma’s Karnival and it was hair raising. Its the story of Ellie who is sweet and lovable so you don’t want anything bad to happen to her but this is a horror collection. I also loved the history because it made me feel like I was really there making it even more creepy. Each story is full of demons, mystery, murder and horror so fun to read on a dark rainy night. I promise it will make the hair on your arms stand up and you will feel like you aren’t alone. Amazing scary anthology.

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance AnthologyBig City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology by Hazel Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set). This anthology was amazing. It was so hot that I seriously thought I might overheat at times! Every story was amazing about love, lust, and lots of hot sex in the big city! I loved A hole by Phoebe Alexander which is the story of Ace & Ella and miscommunication. Ella works at a bank in the same building that comedian Ace lives. He’s had a crush on Ella for a while and when he works up the nerve to ask her out she turns him down. He then invites her to his show and she reluctantly goes worried she will be the punchline. In Make Me Beg by Moni Boyce its a mob romance story which I love. Its the story of Teagan who is a nurse that is as ornery as she is sweet and Reid who is a “fixer” for the local mafia. When Teagan gets in hot water and gets a hit put out on her she and Reid meet and sparks fly. What will they do to settle the situation? Read this fun, sexy anthology as fast as you can. The History of the Universe: As My Soul and I Remember by Stuart Ledwith, PhD – Review by Tausha Treadway

The History of the Universe: As My Soul and I RememberThe History of the Universe: As My Soul and I Remember by Stuart Ledwith

The History of the Universe: As My Soul and I Remember by Stuart Ledwith, PhD. This book is not my usual wheelhouse of reads but it was so interesting that I had trouble putting it down. Its a very thought provoking read about the Universe and how we all came to be. In layman’s terms its a book on the history of the universe, about how we came to be as a people and our place in this universe. It also talks about our souls and God. The author believes he has a powerful soul named Edouard from the past and that is where a lot of this book comes from. This read is deep and very interesting but it is not one you can read lightly. You will have to pay attention. If you need something that is different and deep this is the book for you!

Shattered Snow (The Mirror Chronicles Book 1) by Rachel Huffmire. This was a great story. It’s a retelling of Snow White that we all know and love. In this version the character of Keltson aka “the mirror” uses his abilities to see people and their lives and decides to take it upon himself to help them. Joined by his friend Lilia, a Russian scrap mechanic, they try to reconstruct history. Its a very dangerous game! Margaretha is a young countess laid out to be poisoned at the young age of 21. Keltson and Lilia decides to take fate in their own hands and thinking they are helping the girl they have truly turned her world upside down and no one knows how things will turn out. This retelling is amazing and keeps you on your feet with the time travel and different characters. I didn’t have a hard time keeping up though it moved very smoothly. This is not my favorite genre but I have come to really enjoy it due to some authors talented spins and this is a prime example. Do yourself a favor and read Shattered Snow to find out for yourself!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Crocodile Makes No Sound (The Lord Hani Mysteries Book 2) by N.L. Holmes. This is such a good read. I love mysteries so it was right up my alley. Its the story of Egyptian Diplomat Lord Hani. Lord Hani is trying to resolve a conflict that will end up deadly if not solved. Nefertiti is the Egyptian Queen and the King’s young mistress who is the daughter of a valuable state ally. Hani is trying to protect the Queen because he knows the plans are to kill her but he must also protect his outspoken brother in law who is on the run from the King. Hani is so caught up in all this craziness that he doesn’t know if any of them will survive. Neferet is Hani’s daughter and the love of his life. She wants to become a physician so badly but her culture won’t permit it. Hani is determined to find the truth behind all the lies going on and and his main concern is his family. Will he survive to see this thru? Read The Crocodile Makes No Sound to find out!
