I enjoyed the third book in this series, it was a quick easy read and had a good storyline. I still really like the character Cecily and think that she could be quite relatable for the young adult audience that is the target reader group for this book. The characters were really well written and I could really feel some of the anxieties that Cecily in particularly went through. I think having followed Cecily’s story through the first two books I really feel like I’ve been on this journey with her. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next for Cecily in book 4!

Cecily in the City (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 3) by Krysten Lindsay Hager

• Cecily in the City is the third book in The Cecily Taylor Series. This is a YA Contemporary Romance that will have you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. This maybe directed more towards teen to young adults but in my opinion anyone of any age can enjoy this story. Tbis authors style of writing and her amazing characters make for a wonderful story. Her characters are well developed and very easily relatable. I felt like I could imagine every scene as if I were there. Cecily can’t imagine her life getting any better after she’s moved to the city and landed a dream position on a daytime soap opera. She’s very excited to be in the same town as her pop star boyfriend. Rumors get started shortly after she stars in another singers music video. Lots of drama behind the scenes. She just wants to be happy with Andrew. Soon she will find out life is much different in the spotlight.. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I found this to be an interesting story of teen angst with a touch of mean girls. Cecily is just trying to achieve her dream. Right from the start, she’s dealing with drama. I found the story to be fairly relatable. You could feel her anxiety and trust issues. I found the characters to be well-written. You could feel the emotion, their personalities. I felt like it could have been happening right there around me. The plot was well-thought out. This is a good YA novel and a quick read.

In this second installment of the Cecily Taylor Series by Krysten Lindsay Hager, Cecily is enjoying many things; specifically, her burgeoning career as a model/actress, and her new relationship with her favorite singer, Andrew Holiday. All seems to be coming together for her, until she hits a rocky patch with her best friend, Lila. From there, things seem to go downhill and she comes across a picture of Andrew getting cozy with another girl. The characters remain well-written and relatable as both Andrew and Cecily deal with their insecurities and anxiety. This is a wonderfully put together story for young adults and touch on many topics that are relatable to them. It’s good, clean entertainment for young readers and, much like the first installment, I highly recommend In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety with 4 out of 5 stars.

We are back with Cecily and her idol turned boyfriend Andrew and everything that goes with him being famous. Cecily is thrust into a world that she is not entirely prepared for and all manner of normal teenage angst-inducing moments are turned up to a thousand when so many people are watching.
This is a pretty solid follow-up to the first book, and while I will say that this series is not my cup of tea, I sort of wish I’d found something this well written when I was in my teens. I feel like it handles the angst and anxiety of being a teenager and trying desperately to find yourself, really well, and with a self-awareness that a lot of these stories tend to lack.
Hager again is a solid writer and though I wouldn’t say that this is something that actively choose to read I do think it is well written and will appeal to young adults.

Cecily Taylor returns in this second installment of the series about her life and she is on top of the world, her dream crush Andrew Holiday is now her boyfriend, it is looking like a career in acting could be on the horizon and she has two best friends she tells everything to, well apart from that she has a boyfriend because they have agreed to keep things private at the moment. As the day dawns, Cecily is already up to say goodbye to Andrew which is a shock to those around her, she isn’t normally an early riser in the slightest, but she is already missing him, so when one of her best friends Lila comes over for a visit, she is more than happy about it. As they go shopping and talk about the things happening at school, Cecily gets the feeling that she is distracted by something and that feeling is increased when she doesn’t ask Cecily’s opinions about anything, then rushes out of the store and when they stop for a drink, she is constantly on her phone until a beaming smile appears on her face and she rushes to stop the afternoon and Cecily has a feeling it is because she is talking to her ex again, who treated her badly and that she is ditching her to spend time with him.

When she is unceremoniously dropped off home, Cecily goes up to her room, checks in with her other best friend and finally watches an old tv programme she enjoyed and when Andrew checks in with her, they end up watching it together, even though they aren’t next to each other. The next day she heads to school as if everything is normal again, but there is still a distance between her and Lila, even her other best friend notices and over the next few days it is a pattern which keeps repeating and Andrew is working hard so can’t talk to her as much as she would like, but when she does get to talk to him, it makes up for it and they start to confide in each other more and more. When Andrew gets a gap in his schedule he comes back home for a few days and introduces Cecily to a couple of his friends, but things are a bit weird and Cecily cannot understand why until she talks to Lila, on one of the days when she isn’t ditching her for her boyfriend, but amid all the anxiety, they talk it out and get back on good terms. Meanwhile, Andrew tells Cecily that someone in his management team has spoken to a magazine who saw her in his music video and want her to go to New York and model for them, but Cecily has to convince her parents that this is a good idea and she has no idea whether they will let her, however, they relent when her grandma agrees to go with her.

Cecily meets her grandma at the airport for their flights and the break starts off with a beautiful hotel, upmarket treats and a little bit of shopping, but when it becomes close to the time for the shoot, things start to go wrong, there is a protest and she is late, the staff are rude and this leads to a huge anxiety attack, however, despite it all, when she gets on set they are really impressed and she makes friends with the other models. Andrew is really proud, but also breaks the news that he has to go on a retreat with his brother, his brothers girlfriend and her sister, Cecily is nervous about it, but accepts that things like that are out of her control, however, when a photo of Andrew and the sister come out on social media, the way it looks sends Cecily on an anxiety trip like no other and she immediately fears the worst, but with Lila on another period of not talking to her and her other best friend busy, she struggles to handle it all. Will this be the first major hurdle to get over, or will the past repeat itself and be the end of her and Andrew’s fledgling relationship? This sweet romance whirls you along with Cecily as she deals with life, dating a star and everything which goes along with it, but also teaches you a lot about anxiety at the same time, well worth a read for anyone of any age.

This is a full length YA novel. A clean and safe story for those 12 and older. I highly recommend you buy both books together as you/your reader will want to go to book 2 as soon as they finish book 1.
Cecily takes a chance and goes with her friend to a video shoot. Mainly because the video has her favorite singer in it, and she is in hopes of seeing him. She wants to be an actress someday so this would be a great start. However her boyfriend becomes so jealous and does the unthinkable. Her best friend sees red, and gets totally mad. But with all stories this one says it as it is. What will happen between these 4 teens? How will Cecily survive the many avenues this adventure will take her?

Krysten Lindsay Hager writes this story from the mind of the teenagers. The story is fast paced and keeps you reading. I love that Cecily and Andrew totally get each other. The characters are true to the teenagers in high school, we have all been there. You will find this story will keep your teens reading, as well as yourself. I will most definitely recommend this story to all teens. Well Done Krysten Lindsay Hager! Well Done!

In the book “In Over Her Head” Hager resonates can resonate with every youth and adult in the world out there, if they allow her to. This book is extremely well written, and has many of the struggles that real world people would go through (perhaps minus the pop star glory). This stage of life, or any stage of life where there are friends, boyfriends or new jobs people can find themselves left behind and trying to fit in and Hager does a fabulous job of showing a teen trying to navigate the ropes of high school, secret romance and broken friendship all in one. I would recommend reading her other books if you have not.

This is book 2 in The Cecily Taylor Series. And it’s just as good as the first one. You definately need to read the first book to understand this book as it follows on from it. It’s written really well and covers most things a teenager goes through from friends moving on, to heartbreak and working out relationships.

In this book we are back with Cecily. She seems to have the life she always wanted. She has good friends, and the boyfriend of her dreams in singer Andrew Holiday. However things start to go wrong. Her friend starts to move away from her and spending more time with her boyfriend, she starts to suffer from anxiety from the pressure of her work and 1 photograph she sees changes her outlook on her perfect relationship.

Was her perfect relationship all in her head? Can she cope with all the pressure she has around her? How will she survive when she is faced with losing the 2 people that means the world to her?

This is the first book in The Cecily Taylor Series. I really enjoyed this book and it is a great read for YA. Its a story that reminds you what it’s like to be a teenager. The characters are easy to relate to and the story is full of teenage angst and first love romance.

Cecily  Taylor had always dreamed of becoming an actress and she gets her chance when her friend auditions and Cecily gets offered a place in the video.

The best part for Cecily at least is that it for her favourite singer ever. She has had a crush on Andrew Holiday for ages and now she has her chance to get to know him.

Cecily’s boyfriend Zach isn’t happy with all the time she is spending with Andrew and Cecily doesn’t understand why.
Can Zach keep his jealously in and keep his girl or will Andrew win the day and steal her away?

This is the second book in The Cecily Taylor series. I highly recommend reading book one to enhance this book. Krysten Lindsay Hager does an amazing job with her attention to detail. I felt like I was right there with Cecily the entire book. Her characters are complex and fully developed. In this book, Cecily thinks everything is going well for her. She has a best friend, a boyfriend, and a job. Things kinda get messed up for Cecily. She starts to lose her best friend. Her boyfriend is in a picture with another girl. Also, Cecily starts to have anxiety issues over a photoshoot at work. Everything is crashing down and Cecily does not know what to do. Will Cecily gain confidence and overcome these challenges? Or will Cecily lose it all? I highly recommend reading this story to see how Cecily handles everything.

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety (Book Two of the Cecily Taylor Series) by Krysten Lindsay Hager was a really good read! This book picks up right where the first one left off, so it definitely needs to be read in order. I really enjoyed the plotline and somewhat enjoyed the characters. I have the same issue I did with the first, that the characters acted very juvenile to me, and the stream of consciousness that Cecily the main character thinks makes me zone it sometimes. I love YA novels and this one was great, I just wish again that Cecily had more of a backbone when it comes to things. Overall this series is great and I have loved reading it!

This is the second book in the young adult series by this author. And I found it to be the perfect follow up from the previous book. I enjoyed reading this book as much as I did the first one. I am in love with these characters and their relationships because I find their story to be very relatable to life. Even life as an adult with the ups and downs of relationships. I have always found these young adult stories to be my favorite genre because they are good, clean fun books but the stories deal with anxiety, love, and drama. Not to mention there is always twists and turns along the way to keep me on the edge of my seat. I think that this is a perfect book, well series, for all female teens to read today. I think that they will find it relatable in many ways I think because they are pushed so hard by their family, friends and even their own selves to be better. However, sometimes all of that pushing is too much for them and what they really need is time to figure things out on their own to make their own decisions in life.

I was so excited to finally get the 2nd book in this series. I had to see where things were going for Cecily and Andrew. They have decided to give a relationship a try, but now he has to get back to work. Cecily is starting to have some anxiety about the distance between them. They have such a great connection between them, will they be able to make things work?

Of course there is a twist that will make Cecily question their relationship. In the middle of all this Cecily starts working on her modeling/acting career, being in the video got her some attention. The author does a great job with her writing and you feel like you’re right there with them. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story, I really love Gran. In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 2) by Krysten Lindsay Hager. This is such a good book. Its the story of Cecily who seems to have it all together. She is beginning to work as a model, has a famous singer boyfriend and has the best friends but when things start falling apart she realizes she might not have it all together at all! Andrew has always been her rock, her go to but when he has a picture published with another beautiful girl Cecily starts to lose it. Cecily suffers from crippling anxiety which a lot of young adults suffer from. She sees the bad side of every situation even if it never happens. Andrew also has bad anxiety and that is why he and Cecily hit if off so well. They were always there for one another so when this picture is printed both of their worlds blow up. This is a touching story about a young girl and guy thrown into the spotlight at a very young age and the way they handle it. Will Cecily be able to deal with all the drama without Andrew and her best friends? A very good young adult novel.

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety is the 2nd book in the young adult Cecily Taylor series by Krysten Lindsay Hager. I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was looking forward to seeing what was in store next for Cecily and Andrew.
This is a really great young adult romance book, which is also suitable for older adults like myself who enjoy and good romance novel.
One thing I love so much about this series of books is the way that the subject of anxiety is so well dealt with. I, myself suffer from crippling anxiety and can relate so much to Andrew’s character but even more so to Cecily; always assuming the worst when you don’t get a reply to a text, seeing the worst in every situation. This totally resonates with me and I really hope that many young adults, those suffering from anxiety and also those who do not, would gain a great deal by reading this book. Not everything in life is rosy for everyone. Some people struggle to get from one day to the next and this book does a great job of dealing with this issue.
I also loved seeing Cecily start to bloom into a more confident version of herself, going out of her comfort zone at times to help achieve her dreams.
This is a great book which I would definitely recommend.

Now Cecily has all she wants will her world end up perfect or will it come crashing down around her.

Cecily is now famous with her acting and modelling but getting used to the celebrity life especially being so young in the middle of this crazy world but she still has one constant with Andrew. He is the only person who seems to get her, although one night may change that forever.

Andrew is living the dream, a great career and a beautiful girlfriend but one night may ruin his life as he knows it when he is photographed with a woman on his shoulder but even when he tries to deny it and is at a loss how this has happen, his whole world seems to be spiralling out of control.

This is a great addition to the series and brings the life of Cecily back into the forefront, the chemistry between the two main characters is off the pages and with the surprises along the way this story will have you gripped. I loved the young angst and that Cecily although has a lot of pressure on her at a young age is dealing with growing up in the media with growing up full stop.

The story was well written and the second characters added to the story brilliantly and I want a Grandma like Cecily as she was probably my favourite character in the series. I can’t wait to read more books by this author.

This is the perfect YA story. It is a full length novel that is set for those young women in high school. Set for those 12 and older, with a nice storyline.

Cecily believes she has it all. Great friends, a modeling job and is dating her favorite musician. Even though for now it must remain a secret, she is happy until? Until everything around her changes. Her best friend is ghosting her. Everything between the girls is great until Lila’s boyfriend calls. Then she puts up a cold feeling that makes Cecily feel like she does not exist. What is happening between Cecily and her friends? Will secrets be shared?

Krysten Lindsay Hager knows her teen world well. This is every young girl’s fairytale. The highs and lows that every teen experiences. The emotions in this story will be thrown and you will feel this too. I love the characters; they are every young girl’s friends. So much in this story is set for the young teens it attracts and feels like home. I will recommend this story to the teens out there who need to read this. Well done Krysten Lindsay Hager! Well Done.

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety was a read I was not totally expecting. It was really nice to read about the main characters be open (for the most part) about their anxieties about anything and everything. Cecily has anxiety that is present throughout this story, she is also very strong. It was weird reading about someone else’s anxiety, it made mine come out while reading this sometimes. It was a story about regular teen issues and a bit of drama, but in a way that anyone could read and enjoy it. I loved reading more about these characters and seeing where their journeys are heading.

In over her head by Krysten Lindsay Hager a sweet as sugar four-star read. This is number two in the Cecily Taylor series and I love the first and enjoyed this one just as much. It was nice reading this, it takes me back to being a teenager and remembering first love and all of the complications that go with it. It also makes me so glad I am not a teenager any more as I couldn’t deal with the hassle of social media mixed in with hormones and drama.

This heartwarming YA read was a quick and enjoyable book. It picks up where the first book ended but can be enjoyed as a standalone. Lots of YA angst and emotion. If you identify with Cecily be prepared for an emotional onslaught. It took me back to my teenage days obsessed with boy bands and dreaming of stardom and boyfriends. Something you could easily share with the teenager in your life.

This is the second book in The Cecily Taylor series. This is a Young Adult Romance novel and is 220 pages. This story follows Cecily and Andrew. Cecily finally feels like she has it all together. Great friends, the start of a great career, and a great boyfriend. But something is amiss. Her BFF Lila starts bailing every time Lila’s BF calls. Anxiety starts to kick in and to make matters worse, Andrew is photographed with another girl. He swears up and down nothing happened, but she is devastated. Was this is all real or just a fantasy?
