In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety (The Cecily Taylor Series Book 2) by Krysten Lindsay Hager – Review by Dani Dando

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety (The Cecily Taylor Series #2)In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety by Krysten Lindsay Hager
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

We are back with Cecily and her idol turned boyfriend Andrew and everything that goes with him being famous. Cecily is thrust into a world that she is not entirely prepared for and all manner of normal teenage angst-inducing moments are turned up to a thousand when so many people are watching.
This is a pretty solid follow-up to the first book, and while I will say that this series is not my cup of tea, I sort of wish I’d found something this well written when I was in my teens. I feel like it handles the angst and anxiety of being a teenager and trying desperately to find yourself, really well, and with a self-awareness that a lot of these stories tend to lack.
Hager again is a solid writer and though I wouldn’t say that this is something that actively choose to read I do think it is well written and will appeal to young adults.
