The God: A Greek Myth Fantasy Romance (Her Three Immortals Book 2)The God: A Greek Myth Fantasy Romance by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We pick back up with Vanessa and Grey in the Underworld in this book; but luckily for all of the readers we get some bits of the other brothers as well. 🥰
Elysium is supposed to be the best part of the Underworld but when Vanessa gets there – it’s quiet, colorless and feels like it’s missing something. And!! The judges of the Underworld found enough favor in her to land her right in Grey’s living space which is enough of a shock for him to tuck tail and run. Join Vanessa as she connects with new characters and discovers more of the mystery that makes Vanessa the god magnet she is.
This book was devoured in a day and I’m not even mad about it because it was such a fun read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The God is the 2nd book in the Her Three Immortals series and this book picks up exactly where book number 1 left off so i highly recommend reading these books in order! This book was my favorite in the series so far because it had a little more spice than book number 1. The story grabbed my attention and i didn’t want to leave this world. Its adds more details to the story we started building in book 1, and we are starting to see the bigger picture. There was some romance, mystery and suspense. Good book overall and i would recommend to anyone that liked RH! I am looking forward to reading book number 3 and i know it will be just as good as this one!
Happy Reading!

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The first book pulls you in, and the second makes you never want to get off this journey with Vanessa. It seamlessly picks up where the first book leaves off akin to gift wrapping a perfect gift that was the first book.
So now Vanessa is dead, stuck in the underworld with Grey who she has already deemed insufferable as if she wants to be there too. But alas it was a must for him to save her from the gold dusted arrow Aroz fired at her. She does make some new friends and the one that caps off this stellar book is Gorgonita, she is just awesome and sooo hilarious. I especially love how we see a new side to the chemistry between Grey and Vanessa. The character development and world building in Hazel’s writing is absolutely superb and if I keep discussing the book, I might give something away. That is the last thing I want to do to anyone because these books are just so dang good. If you haven’t read the first book “The Don,” do that as quickly as possible and if you have, I don’t know why you’re wasting time reading reviews just get the book and have fun devouring it!

What would you do to save a loved one? That was vanessas thought and she really wonders what she has done to get were she is now. Vanessa is the most amazing character ever, she loves deeply, caring, a heart of gold but will do anything to help anyone and she will find a way. it was impossible to not fall in love with this book, with the characters, plot, challenges and love. The fiery passion in this book was really captivating. It was very entertaining to read and such a wonderful book all around. I really can’t wait to read the rest of the series to this amazing story. I highly recommend it.

Now this is the story I needed!
After reading the first book ( The Don ), it ends in a cliff hanger and this book answered all my questions for that book. This also ends in a cliff hanger but I love love love Grey & Vanessa.
You ever wonder how a sex dream would be if you were dead?!
Hazel Storm definitely has a hit with this series I prefer this book over book 1 but as a series fanatic I would recommend that you read book one.
This read gets five stars it is very well developed and descriptive and captivating and it has you rooting for love but who do you want Vanessa with.
This read brings a bit of humor that I enjoyed it was thrown in at just the right moments.
Poor Vanessa the underworld has her stuck between love and a hard place. Lol.

This book is the second in the series. You need to read first book if you haven’t. I love that this isn’t your typical romance where you know who is going to end up with who or even what is going to happen next. I loved the main characters as well as the secondary characters. I found the author’s writing style engaging. Author has done a great job with intriguing her audience.

The flirty and fun continues with Vanessa and mostly Grey. However, Grey’s ½ brothers show up throughout the story along with some other interesting characters, PK being my favorite.

While reading this story I get the feeling that Vanessa may be more that she thinks she is. There seems to be something extra about her.

As in book one, The Don, this story also has many sexy scenes with Vanessa not having to choose between her men…gods.

Hazel Storm has an easy writing style and it seems that cliffhangers are her specialty as this story also ends in a cliffhanger.

THE GOD (HER THREE IMMORTALS BOOK 2) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Allyson Ware

Queen of the Underworld needs to simmer herself down. I dislike her almost as much if not more than I dislike Professor Umbridge in Harry Potter. She may even be worse than taking a trip to Tartarus.

Once again, I could not put this book down and I cannot wait to jump into the next. Halfway through this book it was brought up again that Vanessa used to be a hairdresser. That feels like an ETERNITY ago. I completely forgot about it and the fact that Ms. Underworld was responsible for destroying her career. I’m going to do my best to take my time reading the next book because I do not want this series to end!

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The God is the second book in the Her Three Immortal series. It picks up the story from book one so I’d suggest reading that book first so you understand the events that have happened up to this point. The end of this book isn’t necessarily a hard cliffhanger, but there are some pieces of the story that aren’t wrapped up. If those parts are of interest to you, you’ll want to get the next book.

This book is about Vanessa’s experience in the Underworld. I loved the addition of the Gorgonita and PK characters. They gave the story extra flair. I don’t really want to say too much in detail because it’ll ruin the way everything plays out. One thing I’m hoping we find out in future stories is how the current Ferryman got his position.

Looking forward to the next book!

The God picks up right where book 1 finished which elated me! Let’s face it, I was going crazy needing to know what happened. I was blown out of my mind with how well I could visualize Elysium and Vanessa’s newly made friends. Um, I wonder if I can get a PK also?! Book 1 was steamy but book 2 fogged the windows. Fantastic job Hazel! I’m off to read book 3 because I can’t wait to see where this story goes.

Oh the grumpy Don God….. Vanessa has sold her soul to save her brother, but the Don isn’t happy she’s in HIS penthouse in the Underworld. She’s dead. He’s stormed off and left her alone with no knowledge of the place. The elevator won’t let her go anywhere. She has a caterpillar that won’t stop eating EVERYTHING, including the couch! And she almost got shot by a love arrow! Who knew being dead would be so much trouble?! Will the Don help her? Will this caterpillar ever stop eating!? And what about her family that she left behind? Will they be safe? Oh and don’t about those Goddesses that were after her in the first book?? You have to read these to find out more!!!!

In this second book in the series, Vanessa finds herself in the Underworld. There she must figure out what her existence means after death. While fighting/indulging feelings with the brothers, Raef, Grey and Aroz, she is also investigating a mysterious shadow. She has picked up a pet and for some odd reason keeps seeing large ants (like ROUS from the Princess Bride) about everywhere she goes.
Opinion
The more I read, the more I love this series. Who wouldn’t want three hot brothers falling all over themselves to get to you? Storm keeps the story interesting while weaving in interesting details that most authors would not think of. I love the color scheme as well as the bug life in this book.

Book 2 of Her Three Immortals was just as fantastic as the first. While the first book took place mostly in the mortal world and Raef, this book mainly revolves around Grey, Adonis and Vanessa in the Overworld. Grey is so hesitant to let Vanessa in and Vanessa is determined to mark her own way/place in the Overworld. She is the color to his greyscale, literally and it was such a fantastic way to continue the series! Again highly recommended, this book series is quickly becoming an absolute favorite of mine!

The sequel to The Don finds the protagonist in the underworld. Unraveling the underworld was also interesting. The world building was done well and the new characters were great. There is more spice this time around (hurray!) and much more of what makes the female MC unique is uncovered. Still a few ships to route for. I am very excited to get to the next! The resolution of this book was very exciting, but its apparent there is still so much more to discover! Can’t wait to pick up the next.

I cannot say enough good things about this book!!! How is it possible that Hazel Storm made this book even more amazing than the first in the series? She absolutely blew my mind with this one. It has a very Alice In Wonderland quality to it which I absolutely love and was not expecting at all! PK and Gargonita are both amazing new characters that are introduced and the heat between Vanessa and Grey is out of this world. There is so much symbolism woven throughout this book that just added to my enjoyment of it. Much like the first book in this series, this one pulls at all of the heartstrings, and all of the emotions and had me absolutely glued to it from page one! I am so ready to start the next book in this series and see what else the amazing author has in store for Vanessa.

It picks right up where book 1 left off, so I highly recommend you read the first book. Seeing Vanessa grow more this book was awesome. There is nothing that can stop this girl once she sets her mind to it. I wanted to strangle Grey the entire book and knock some sense into him. But at the same time actually understanding why he made the decisions he did made sense. I wanted to hug him and make the pain go away. Although I’m dreading what is going to happen with the Queen in the next book! Can’t wait to read the last book and see what happens!

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm

4.5 out of 5. A cute “why choose” romance that takes Greek Mythology and turns it on its head.

I typically find the second book in a series harder to get through than the first but this book had me reading through to see what happened next.

The God picks up where The Don leaves off, with Vanessa transported to the Underworld, Grey’s domain. She is concerned about her brother and mother, but knows what she did was the right choice. Now if only she can have the three guys circling her the way she wants, but Aroz can only partially appear, Grey has left her alone in his home, and Raef can’t travel to the Underworld. What’s a girl to do?

I enjoyed the further exploration of the relationships Vanessa has with each of the men. Grey takes front and center of this book, leaving me to assume one of the other men will do so for book 3.

Grey certainly lives up to the “asshole” category Vanessa has for men, basically ignoring her and running from her anytime she gets close to him. In the end though she literally turns everything Grey knows on its head and confronts his way of thinking. I enjoyed finally getting to see a softer side of him, as well as what goes on behind the scenes of Elysium.

I really enjoyed the addition of the new side characters. Gorgonita, Medusa’s daughter, whose essence has been housed in a handheld mirror, is integral to the storyline and acts as a bit of side-kick to Vanessa on her escapades throughout Elysium. I loved the addition of PK and her calls for food.

Can’t wait to read book 3 to see what’s in store for Vanessa and her men, uh I mean Gods.

The God (Her Three Immortals #2) by Hazel Storm

This is another great read by Storm. The author had me hooked from the beginning. I had a hard time putting it down. This is the second book in the Her Three Immortals Series.

Vanessa is dead and now living in the Underworld. She has made a couple of friends. She has also brought color back to it. Grey has kept it grey for way too long. The quote I chose for Vanessa is: “I’m here because I’m dead and got lucky not to be voted to go to the middle ground, or worse, the hot-pit haven. I am not that important, Gorgonita. Go ask Charles A**hole Radcliffe in there, and he’ll tell you just how insignificant I am.”

Grey doesn’t usually make deals, but Vanessa wormed her way in. Not only to his world, but in his heart. He isn’t sure what to make of her. The quote I chose for Grey is: “Where do you suggest she hid my brother’s soul? I searched every square inch of the Underworld for him myself.”

Highly recommended for Paranormal Romance lovers.

The story continues where book one finished. Vanessa is in the Underworld, stuck in Grey’s penthouse of all places. Grey is not particularly happy about it. His attraction for her scares him so he avoids her like the plague. Being alone, Vanessa makes some interesting friends. A serpent haired gorgon who is stuck in a mirror and a giant caterpillar who is always hungry. With the help of her new friends, she quickly learns about Elysium and realizes that she has a new talent, one that can get her in a lot of trouble with the Queen of the Underworld ( who happens to be Grey’s mother). Accumulating problems, Vanessa embarks on an interesting adventure.

It was an original story. One that I found to be lighter than the first and quite hilarious where the caterpillar was involved. I loved all the new characters that were introduced in this book. I’m looking forward to reading part three.

The God was a great 5 star read.

I was excited to get the second book in the series. We start where book one left off. Van finds herself in Grey’s penthouse and he isn’t happy about it. There is something about her that pulls him in and he keeps trying to resist her. He runs away to his office to try and keep space between them.

She arrives with gold on her from the love arrow that Aroz shot her way. Supposedly this arrow will make you fall in love with the first person you see, but does it really work?
There is this awesome mirror that Van can see her loved ones back home on. I loved the mirror’s back story and what Van did for the mirror. So sweet.

Overall I really enjoyed this book, we get several POV’s and all of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We get several steamy moments. The story does end with a slight cliff hanger. There is so much going on in this great read, the author pulls you right in with her writing. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This book drew me in from the first page. I didn’t read the first book, which would have helped a little, but you didn’t really need to! This book had action, love, and main characters I wish were real. Just the sort line and all of the secrets that you find out about the characters are like nothing I’ve ever read before. This story left me wanting more. I loved how Hazel Storm made Vanessa stand out from the beginning and how she felt like she didn’t belong in the underworld which I can really relate to in my real life so it made me want to find out more about Vanessa. Vanessa what what really roped me in I wanted to find out what made her so different, why does she stand out, why is she the way she is. The story is just incredible and so well written that I felt like I was there watching everything happen in real time with Vanessa and Grey. THE GOD (HER THREE IMMORTALS BOOK 2) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Hansini Wasalamudalige

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

‘The God’ is the second book of Hazel Storm’s Her Three Immortals series and a worthy sequel to ‘The Don’. It continues to follow the journey of beautician Vanessa Maan as she finds herself even more tangled in the politics of those who rule over Earth and falling deeper for the trio of handsome Gods from the last book. Unlike ‘The Don’, ‘The God’ largely shifts its focus away from the mortal world to the Underworld where the souls of the dead reside. This was a welcome change as it provided deeper insight into the intricate and vivid world that Storm has crafted. It was very interesting to learn more about how the Underworld functioned and how it shaped Grey, the overseer of the realm, into the man- or should I say God- he is today. Seeing him in his natural element allowed for greater development of his character with more and more facets of his past thrust into the light and the strengthening of his dynamic with Vanessa.

Speaking of Miss Maan, the change in setting also served her and her story well. Suddenly isolated from her family and friends and embroiled in the inner-workings of a realm run by the other-worldly, Vanessa is forced to fend for herself in circumstances virtually unknown and she comes out a much stronger character for it. Having a protagonist with little knowledge of the world around her provided a smooth vehicle for the audience to learn alongside her and thus does not make the book feel like it was bogged down by exposition. That’s not to say that Vanessa is completely alone however- she quickly befriends strange and mystical creatures such as Gorgonita, Medusa’s daughter eternally trapped as a mirror, and PK, a feather boa of a capitallar who’s hunger is seemingly insatiable. They serve as charming companions who bounce off of Vanessa nicely and are great additions to the cast as well as the lore binding the mystical realms.

The mark of a great sequel comes in the form of consequences- namely evidence that events of its predecessor has relevance in terms of its impacts on characters and the story of the sequel and that the themes and concepts of the former are continued to be explored in the latter. ‘The God’ does not disappoint in relation to this aspect- the plotlines and threads present in the first book are delved into more thoroughly and some discoveries even shine a different light on the events of ‘The Don’. Old characters are not suddenly cast aside, become obsolete or are forgotten- it’s clear that Storm did not put them into her first book willy-nilly and had done so with a greater purpose in mind.

Overall, ‘The God’ is a great continuation of ‘The Don.’ It doesn’t lose the heart of the first novel, nor its dark and steamy nature. If you’re interested in seeing the next step in Vanessa’s journey or in getting a more profound look into the mechanisms that push and pull at Storm’s manufactured realms, then this book will not disappoint.
